Reconciliation of a BW and R3 data

Hi All,
Please help me for this. Please provide me R/3 standard Table detail which are link with the BW standard cube. So i can do reconciliation of the data.
Regards,
Zubs

Hi zubs,
Data Reconciliation Scenarios
In general there are four possible data reconciliation scenarios that can be applied in a
system in order to reconcile the data between SAP source systems and SAP BI. In
addition, depending on the application area (CO, FI, SD, MM etc), some special
reconciliation scenarios are available.
1 Reconciliation DataSource
The reconciliation DataSource is a DataSource which SAP delivers as standard business
content for data reconciliation purposes. In the documentation on DataSources, a
reconciliation DataSource is mentioned that can be used for reconciliation with the
original DataSource. Alternatively the documentation describes how to design a data
reconciliation scenario for the relevant DataSource.
2 Generic DataSource with Database View or InfoSet
If no reconciliation DataSource is available in the standard business content it is
sometimes possible to create a customer-specific reconciliation DataSource from a
database view, table or InfoSet in transaction RSO2.
Since the extraction of the data reconciliation DataSource is performed remotely, it is
necessary to keep the volume of data transferred as low as possible. This process is
thus not suitable
1. If the volume of data to be extracted and transferred cannot be reduced effectively
2. If the data that the original DataSource provides is not saved in a database table
(e.g. calculated key figures).
3 Generic DataSource with Function Module
With this scenario it is possible to reproduce complex extraction logic so that the data
attained is suitable for the data reconciliation. You can also restrict the volume of data to
be transferred using data aggregation.
If the extraction logic of the original DataSource is highly complex, there is a danger that
errors can creep into the extraction logic, leading to incorrect results in the reconciliation
DataSource. Thus this scenario is only recommended for experienced developers. It is
not appropriate if no suitable data can be prepared for the data reconciliation due to
complex extraction logic in the original DataSource.
4 Direct Access to the DataSource
If none of the scenarios mentioned above are applicable, data reconciliation can be
performed using direct access to the DataSource. Dependent on the design, not all
DataSources allow direct access. This property is stored in the ‘virtcube’ field in table
roosource. If 'D' is entered in this field direct access cannot be performed. Otherwise
direct access is possible, but the runtime depends on the volume of data that must be
read and transferred from the database.
In order for direct access to function properly, the technical design of the system
(processor, memory) must enable the user to make a meaningful selection.
Since the original DataSource is applied as the reconciliation DataSource in this
scenario, any inconsistencies in the administration of the delta queue can be identified.
On the other hand, there is also the danger that some system errors may not be
identified, so this scenario should only be applied for data reconciliation purposes on a
limited basis.
Hope this helps you.
and also check the above document.

Pcrao.

  • How to do reconcilization of ODS data and CUBE data

    Hi All,
    How to do reconciliation of ODS data and CUBE data,I know how to do reconciliation of R/3  data and BW data.
    Regards.
    hari

    Hi,
    create a multicube based on your ODS and cube, identify commen characteristics and perform the key figure selections; create then a query showing both information from the cube and ODS with perhaps some formula showing differences between key figures.
    hope this helps...

  • Reconciliation accounts of customer and vendors

    Dear all,
    We need to post within the journal an initial value on various account numbers, among which there are reconciliation accounts of customers and vendors. The idea is to make these accounts not reconciliation accounts but just temporarily. As far as I know for SAP that's not possible. Reconciliation accounts cannot be posted directly unless you change their properties and that's possible only if you do not have any registration, but that's not the case.
    I suggested to:
    a- post on the accounts of the single customers and vendors, but they are too many
    b- create a dummy vendor and a dummy customer linked to that reconciliation account, and post on that, but that then those customers and vendors will remain in the ledger.
    I suggest to reverse the movement
    on those customers/vendors in a different date (e.g. post on
    30/04 and reverse on 01/05) so that their balance can be zero and they do not appear in reporting for customers and vendors, but just in the initial load.
    Can anyone please tell me if there is a better solution?
    Thanks
    Giulio

    Hi,
    When you say you have values to be posted into recon accounts, that means these are accounts recievables and accounts payables.
    There would definetely be parties to take the netoff in the balance sheet. Hence should not be a problem.
    If you want these to be posted into two accounts, better choose two normal accounts, post and block these two mentioning the reason.
    If you are talking about the initial upload, its advisable to post into separate vendors and customers, if not each of the open items, atleast the cumulative balance on each customer/vendor.
    Hope you would succeed.

  • Challan date new and GR date past, How to reconcile?

    Hi,
    We have some material document in subcontracting process and user did not reconcile challan for these GR no.
    and these Material documents were from previous period , now while J1IFQ he is getting following error
    " Excise document is posted later to Material document"
      Message no. 8I576
    I checked there were around 20-25 GR were posted but not reconciled, He reconciled the wrong way using the new challans instead of taking the previous one sequentially ,now the situation is that for reconciliation the remaining GR, the challan date is new and the GR date is past, How to reconcile these documents? what is the workaround to clear this problem? Please advise
    Thanks

    it is not possible to reconcile. because logically GRN. will be made with refernce to challan.
    please track those documents manually. Challan should me made the day your goods leaves your location. not prior or early. violation of excise rule(PGI date and challan date should be same). i dont think SAP will support for this.

  • Problem with item and/or data during page-processing-PS/SQL

    Greetings!
    On my page I have a custom report (from 2 tables) and a small form-field, that adds and edits data in the report. After generating the form with the wizard I added an extra item, to store the id from one of the tables from the report data.
    Now, on submit a calculation should take place, that updates data according user input with a procedure in Page-Prosseses:
    declare a number;
    begin
    case :PLATZ
    when 1 then a:=100;
    when 2 then a:= 50;
    else a:=25;
    end case;
    update TBL_MITGLIEDER set TURNIERPUNKTE = TURNIERPUNKTE + a
    where ID_MITGL = :P14_ID_MITGL;
    end;
    :PLATZ is user selected (1,2,3), :P14_ID_MITGL stores the reference to TBL_MITGLIEDER (and shows the change, when I select another record)
    As I understand, that process should also run, when I submit a chance, but nothing happens then.
    But when I try to save a new record (which worked without any problems before adding that process), I get this error message:
    ORA-06550: line 1, column 64: PL/SQL: ORA-00957: duplicate column name ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored
         Error      Unable to process row of table TBL_TURNIERSIEGER.
    Then, when I go back into the app-builder and try to run the page again, I get this message:
    ORA-01403: no data found
         Error      Unable to fetch row.
    I am not sure, if you guys have all the information you need, to know whats going on. Maybe this has to do with session-id and the whay, items are updated. I hope you can help me.
    Thanks, best regards,
    tobi

    First can you please post all log file errors
    >> I can't really give you a solution or specific recommendation since I did not saw this error yet myself, but on your own risk you can try:
    1. You may try to just register 'dts.dll' using regsvr32.exe, but this error may indicate a bigger problem with setup.
    If you are running SQL Server 64bit then try running this at the command prompt: %windir%\syswow64\regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft SQL Server\90\dts\binn\dts.dll"
    2. You can try reinstall from start (In this case you have to make sure that you un-install all)

  • Sum of LineCount Including Groups and Detail Data On Each Page Used To Generate New Page If TotalPageLineCount 28

    Post Author: tadj188#
    CA Forum: Formula
    Needed: Sum of LineCount Including Groups and Detail Data On Each Page Used To Generate New Page If TotalPageLineCount > 28
    Background:
    1) Report SQL is created with unions to have detail lines continue on a page, until it reaches page footer or report footer, rather than using  subreports.    A subreport report is now essentially a group1a, group1b, etc. (containing column headers and other data within the the report    with their respective detail lines).  I had multiple subreports and each subreport became one union.
    Created and tested, already:
    1) I have calculated @TotalLineForEachOfTheSameGroup, now I need to sum of the individual same group totals to get the total line count on a page.
    Issue:
    1) I need this to create break on a certain line before, it dribbles in to a pre-printed area.
    Other Ideas Appreciated:
    1) Groups/detail lines break inconveniently(dribble) into the pre-printed area, looking for alternatives for above situation.
    Thank you.

  • Historic and Current data for Master data bearing objects

    Hi All,
    We are trying to implement type 2 dimensions for all the master data bearing characteristics, where we require historic and current data available for reporting. the master data can have a number of attributes and all of them can be time dependent. We are not getting any 'datefrom' or 'dateto' from the source system.
    For example:
    For Example: The table below shows data entering BI at different dates.
    Source Data day of entering BI
    MasterID ATTR1 ATTR2
    123506 Y REWAR day1
    123506 N REWAR day4
    123506 Y ADJUST day4
    123506 N ADJUST dayn
    The field 'day of entry into BI' is only for your understanding; we do not get any date fields from the source. SID is the field we are generating for uniqueness. It is a counter. EFF_DATE would be the current date for all the data. EXP_DATE would be 31.12.9999 until the attributes change. SID and MasterID together would be the key.
    On day 1 the following data enters BI,
    day 1
    SID MasterID ATTR1 ATTR2 EFF_DATE EXP_DATE
    1 123506 Y REWAR 2/10/2009 12/31/9999
    On day 4, 2 data records enter with same PID,
    SID MasterID ATTR1 ATTR2 EFF_DATE EXP_DATE
    2 123506 N REWAR 2/13/2009 12/31/9999
    3 123506 Y ADJUST 2/13/2009 12/31/9999
    the EXP_DATE of the record of day 1 needs to be changed to current date.
    Also there are two records entering, so latest record would have EXP_DATE as 31.12.9999. And the EXP_DATE of the first record on day 4 should change to the current date.
    so the following changes should happen,
    CHANGE
    SID MasterIDATTR1 ATTR2 EFF_DATE EXP_DATE
    1 123506 Y REWAR 2/10/2009 2/13/2009
    CHANGE
    SID MasterID ATTR1 ATTR2 EFF_DATE EXP_DATE
    3 123506 Y ADJUST 2/13/2009 2/22/2009
    On day n, one data record enters with same PID,
    SID MasterID ATTR1 ATTR2 EFF_DATE EXP_DATE
    4 123506 N ADJUST 2/22/2009 12/31/9999
    The change is ,
    CHANGE
    SID MasterID ATTR1 ATTR2 EFF_DATE EXP_DATE
    3 123506 Y ADJUST 2/13/2009 2/22/2009
    The data expected in P-table is as below, on Day n or after Day n, untill any other record enters for this MasterID,
    1 123506 Y REWAR 2/10/2009 2/13/2009
    2 123506 N REWAR 2/13/2009 2/13/2009
    3 123506 Y ADJUST 2/13/2009 2/22/2009
    4 123506 N ADJUST 2/22/2009 12/31/9999
    Has anyone worked on type 2 dimensions earlier? Or any ideas to implement this logic would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Sudeepti

    Compound the Master ID with eff date and other attribute as superior objects
    so you will get P-table as
    ATTR1   ATTR2   MAT ID
    1 2/10/2009 2/13/2009 123506 Y REWAR
    2 2/13/2009 2/13/2009 123506 N REWAR
    3 2/13/2009 2/22/2009 123506 Y ADJUST
    4 2/22/2009 12/31/9999  123506 N ADJUST

  • Phone is connecting and transfering data in the ba...

    Today at work my Nokia 6710 did start to transfer data in the background without my interaction. I was typing a sms while the symbol for data transfer below the 3G lit up. Did a quick check in the menu->settings->connectivity->Conn.mgr.  Yes, one active connection was sending and receiving data, small amounts 3-4kb, then idle.
    I ended the connection in the Conn.mgr. Closed all the apps in the phone and waited a minute. Then it started one new connection in the background again! Same procedure, checked and closed it...! This did not stop, every time the phone started a new connection after a minute?
    I did try to find what could cause this, but no success. What is going on, any ideas for what to check?
    I finally deleted my  3G access point in menu->settings->settings->connection->destinations->internet
    This did stopp the phone from connecting and transfering data.
     Back home I connected to my WiFi at home, used the browser and closed the connection. Guess what, the phone did now connect via the WiFi in the background doing exactly the same type of small data transfer - without asking!?
    What is this? I downloaded the latest F-Secure mobile version to check for virus, but nothing, it was clean.
    I did shut down the phone, will not use it until I can stop these unwanted connections and transfers. Please help.

    Finally I found the reason for these data transfers. The upgrade of the mentioned files did have something to do with all of this, but the removal of the files did not help.
    So, I did go through all the settings in again for Connections and the setting for Share Video were set On...? Turning this setting Off did stop the background data transfers.
    Problem solved perhaps. But I still wonder why the Share Video setting did start sending data while the phone was not in use? A bug? A virus? A hacker trying to activate the webcam?

  • The Difference between "Cell Data" and "Dimension Data"?

    What is the difference between the tab "Cell Data" and "Dimension Data" in SSAS?

    Article quote: " SSAS provides the way to secure analysis services database/cube data from unauthorized access. Analysis services provides secure access by creating object called "roles". After creation of role, user's windows login credential can be used
    to enroll into particular role because analysis services identifies user from their windows login credentials . You can protect your data in roles at two levels:
    1) Dimension level
    2) Cell level
    If user has been assigned more than one role, analysis services loop through all assigned roles after login. Analysis services finds all permission level for the particular user and  union all the permission levels.
    If two roles has contradictory access for user then particular access will be allowed. Suppose role1 says Australia data access and role2 denies Australia data access then access to Australia data will be allowed. "

    the difference in  no. of  days between sy-datum and any date that come from table??

    Just subtract the dates from each other and you will get the number of days. I have used it and it works prefect
    try this:
    DATA: date1 like sy-datum,
    date2 like sy-datum.
    data I type i.
    date1 = '20070301'.
    date2 = '20070228'.
    i = date1 - date2.
    write: / date1, date2, i.
    date1 = sy-datum.
    date2 = sy-datum - 30.
    i = date1 - date2.
    write: / date1, date2, i.
