Recording videos from my Mac Screen

I would like to record in a video file (mov for example) my Mac screen showing Google Earth overflying a region in the world and incorporate this video in a montage of my vacation trip.
There are an awful lot of various software or sharewhare offering this feature but am not too sure which one is the best for this specific usage.
Can someone advise?

Well, I found another solution much less expensive: Snapz Pro X which is very flexible in choosing the video format, the codec used for exporting the clip, the area of the screen to capture (choosing to keep the 16 by 9 ratio), and exporting in XDCAM EX 1080p30. This is great for only less than $70

I got an error cannot Find url when i attempt to play my camera recorded video from my iphone 4S 32 gig. I try to restart my phone but still no luck. There was no problem previously, but suddenly i got this problem with no reason. I also unable to copy the video to my computer using itunes. So please helppp...

Note: My iphone 4S is running ios 5.01.

See if it helps to delete the firmware file and download a new one:
Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw)
iTunes uses "ipsw" files to restore your iPod or iPhone. If those files are unusable, then try deleting them, renaming them, or moving the file to a different directory. This will cause iTunes to download a new copy of the IPSW. When a restore issue is specific to a user, it is likely due to an unusable .ipsw file. If removing the .ipsw file does not resolve a user-specific restore issue, then the issue is caused by other user-specific security software settings or iTunes preferences. Creating a new user will also cause new .ipsw restore files to be downloaded in the new user. You can find the ".ipsw" files in these locations:
Mac OS X
iPhone
~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
iPad
~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates
iPod touch
~/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates
Note: The tilde "~" represents your Home directory.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
The Apple TV 2 doesn't show up under devices like the Apple TV 1, to send video and music to the Apple TV you need to use the Airplay Option which appears in the lower right corner of iTunes.

You need to help us first ...
Computer specs:
OS, CPU, RAM, GPU, vRAM ... and also disc layout & connections can be useful (as in, "2 internal hard-drives and an external on Thunderbolt connection for exports")
Program specs:
Specific build of Premier Pro from the bottom of the "About" splash screen off the "Help" menu is best.
Footage file type: MXF, AVCHD, MOV, m2s, what?
Even the camera it was shot on can be of interest at times.
And did you use media browser to import, then project panel to drag & drop?

i have this problem too. i use snowfox coverter, and then i used to drag and drop or import using the drop down menu. now it's not letting me do either. so i emailed support at snowfox, they said that itunes is rejecting the conversions for some reason. they told me they're gonna issue a new release of the snowfox converter, so.. we'll see i guess. sorry i don't have a solution for ya. just wanted to let you know i'm having this problem too but it seems to be the converter i'm using. what kind of videos r u trying put into itunes?

This might not be the correct forum but maybe someone out there knows how i can record video from my computer. I need good quality videos like you would see on www.lynda.com. Would anyone know how this can be done?

I will suggest you contact the moderator at the F4M forum HERE. I think he's quite pro in this field of wmv encoding. Also, the article HERE, from Ken Stone, might be helpful.

You can share songs, but if there is DRM protection on the song, it will not play on the other device unless you also transfer the rights to the other device. You are getting into the problem of music piracy.

Help! I cannot transfer music videos from my mac to my iPad. I simply want to transfer individual music videos from my Mac, but my iPad will not allow it. As soon as I check the box that says 'include music videos' my ipad says that I do not have enough space, which would be true if I wished to transfer all my videos. However, I only wish to transfer a few, something that I have done many times before. I then unchecked the 'include music videos' box, and of course, I could not transfer a single video, despite having plenty of free space. Please help!

All of my digital cameras seem to work OK with the iPad Camera Connection Kit, but I've read several similar reports here. One thing to consider is whether your camera's battery is fully charged. I doubt it matters, but might explain if it works sometimes and not others.
I suggest you use a camera card-to-USB adapter to do the transfers. I've tried several that worked. The ones that drew too much current were the "universal" types that have several different card slots. A camera store should carry an adapter, and may let you try it. The ones I tried that draw too much current, were bad even without a card connected.

Go to www.videohelp.com and search dvd (or whatever format your movie is) to ipod. I personally use DVD Decryptor and Videora ipod converter. Both are free and work great. Here is a link to the tutorial page using those programs and I believe that sites for download of the programs are available.

What's the file size of the video you're trying to share? In most cases, a video will be too large to email, so your best bet is to set up a free Dropbox account and share it through Dropbox. Another option might be to share it through iCloud.

Program for/how can I Record video from MacBook Pro Retina camera on External HD?

Ive been trying to do this for a long time, and have looked throughout this forum but cant find an answer. All I want to do is be able to record video from the built in camera to my external harddrive. Photobooth lets you record it but not to an external HD, and I cant find a way to do it with the new iMovie either. There has to be a way or a progarm that lets you do something this simple, but I cant find it. Any help is greatly appreciated.
