Recovery from icloud

I have lost my ipod touch a month ago while i had taken the back up of the photos (on my ipod) on icloud. How can i recover those photos without having a new ipod? Can i recover the photos on my iphone?

If you iPhone has iOS 5.1.1 then you can make one final backup of the iPhone and then restore the iPhone from the backup of the iPod. Then transfer the pictures to a computer and restore the iPhone from its backup.
If it was less than a month ago you could have downloaded the last 30 days via PhotosStream.

  • HT5262 Want to change my recovery from Icloud to itunes

I am currently recovering my iphone 4 with icloud, however I just realized that I should've recovered from itunes instead. I tried to cancel it but it says that everything would be erased. How can i stop this recovery and recover from itunes instead?? I have shut the phone off with just one minute before recovery ends. I really don't want to lose everything :/ please help!

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

  • Had to do a recovery from icloud and lost all my projects in imovie

''''' "It looks like the Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles folder was moved from my "local data" to the "app data" folder ... " '''''
There is a "Profile" folder in each location, App Data has the actual Profile folder and the Local Settings\App Data location contains the various cache files, along with other files like files for Safe Browsing.

  • Recovery of lost Notes in IPad from iCloud.

I was trying to sort out a compromised email account on my IPad when I ignorantly deleted the notes. I need to retrieve them but I do not know how. Is it possible to have it restored from ICloud? I need help. Please.

If you backup with iTunes and you restored from the backup and the notes were gone, then there is no where to retrieve them from unless you have another backup that contains those notes.
Launch iTunes on the computer and go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices. You will see a window with all of your backups listed in it.
If you see a recent backup that you are certain contains the notes that you need, recover deleted notes from iPhone backup.
If your note is gone from iCloud.com there is only a few ways to possibly recover it.
The first things I would check is a iCloud Backup, a iTunes Backup, or a 3rd party email that may have contained the note. To restore from a iCloud or iTunes backup follow this link. This article explains how to restore a device from either back up.
Note if you have backed up since the note went missing, you will not have the note on the backup. Make sure you do not back up if trying to restore from a back up as this will back up the content without the note.
To get to the "Set up assistant" on an iOS device, you must go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings. Once the phone restarts, you will be at the "Set up Assistant"
Gmail emails are very commmon sources for notes and you may have been adding them to the gmail notes without even knowing it.

  • HT4859 recovery deleted sms from icloud

    Hi
    Two question
First: how can I recover my deleted sms from my iPhone 3Gs?
Second: is there any way to restore from iCloud manually?
    Thanks

You would have to restore your most recent backup to get the messages back, and, no, there is no way to manually restore the messages from your iCloud backup.

    Hello khanhlinh98,
I would recommend performing the following steps in order to stabilize your iPhone.
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see the battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?
    Contact Apple Support.

  • Retrieving a lost file from iCloud drive

I was saving files from documents folder onto iCloud drive and deleted other files in iCloud drive in the process, which i need to get back. Is there a way to retrieve the file i had saved in iCloud drive which is now gone.  I don't have time machine set up, New laptop.

If you did not make a backup the files and you deleted them from iCloud Drive, they are gone, unless you did not yet empty the Tras on your Mac. Have you checked the Trash in the Dock?
If you deleted them completely, you can only try data recovery software like Disk Drill, but that will be expensive.
If you are syncing another Mac with iCloud, they documents may still be on this Mac, if it has not been connected to the Internet and the changes had not yet been synced to that Mac.

You dont have any data on your phone yet right?
If you dont connect your device to the computer and
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least 15 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
after that click okay when it says itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. Then click restore
    after that try again

  • So if iMessages deleted from one device are not deleted from others why not recover deleted iMessages from iCloud?

I accidentally deleted ALL the messages from my wife from my iPhone, nearly all of them iMessages.  Yet, I can see all of them on my iMac and on my MacPro.  Indeed, there is a discussion item (https://discussions.apple.com/message/21313040#21313040) that confirms that messages are deleted and maintained independently on each device, even though they are all ultimately resident only in Apple's cloud.
I would dearly love to have all of them back on my iPhone.  Yet, reading about 20 or so discussions here, the only way to recover them would be a recovery from my iTunes backup.  I have a somewhat recent backup, but I'll still lose about 100 messages that way.
So, if all the messages are still in the cloud, why CAN'T I recover them directly from the cloud to my iPhone?  Any ideas?  Any software?  Is this an App just begging to be built??
    Thanks

It depends on the type of email account you are using, not on iCloud.  If you are using an IMAP or exchange account, when you delete from one device, it is deleted from all devices.  If you are using a POP (POP3) account, it won't.  (iCloud email, Gmail and Yahoo are all IMAP accounts.)

  • Issues restoring iphone from icloud

    Hi,
Every time I try to restore my iphone from icloud it says, "unable to back up from icloude because wireless connection interrupted".  My phone is plugged in and connected to wi-fi...I also tried having my iphone plugged into my computer while backing up.  Neither worked.  What do I do?
    Thanks.

Is your iPhone have a strong Wi-Fi connection? Have you tried testing on another Wi-Fi network?
Take a look at this Apple document -> iCloud: Troubleshooting restore issues with iCloud Backup
    Troubleshooting issues during a restore
If you receive an alert during the restore, be sure to note the text of the message, and cross reference it in the Alert Message matrix in the fifth major section of this article.
Keep in mind that restoring is dependent on being connected to the Internet, so the faster your connection, the faster your restore will be. However, even with a fast broadband connection, it can often take around 1-4 hours per gigabyte to complete a foreground and background restore. If you are traveling between countries, you may need to allocate even more time. iCloud is tuned to provide you with the best service in the geographical location you most frequently connect from, and in regards to iCloud Backup, the geographical region you created the original backups from.
If you receive connection errors, or timeouts, while restoring, you should verify your device has a valid connection to a fast Wi-Fi network and that it's plugged into a power source. Then, let it work. A good way to do this is to start the restore an hour or two before you go to sleep. That way, you can input any needed information after the iOS device restarts and the background restore starts, but you will be less likely to use the phone during the background restore. This will allow it to proceed without interruption. Background restore is designed to allow you to use your phone normally, but if you are getting errors, or having trouble completing the restore, it's best to avoid any possible network interruptions and maximize the resources the iOS device can allocate to the restore process, by allowing it to work uninterrupted. Of course, you can check the status of the recovery by unlocking the screen or by reviewing the progress of downloaded applications or Camera Roll content, but in an error-prone situation, it's best to avoid doing work and launching apps unrelated to the restore process.
As noted earlier, you will receive prompts for your Apple ID and other passwords. This is normal. When you are restoring to a device that you have already backed up from, you should receive fewer prompts to re-enter passwords, but if you are restoring to a new device, it is expected that you will have to re-enter your passwords again. This is done to preserve the integrity of your accounts.

  • Beware of dubious mailings from "icloud account services"

Just a warning regarding what clearly is a "phishing" campaign targeting iCloud users. I have received a series of emails, purporting to be “service announcements” from “Icloud (sic) Account Services”  regarding email verification of unused accounts. Here is the body of the email:
    SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
    Dear Customer,
Due to congestion in all Icloud Mail user accounts, there shall be a removal exercise of all used and unused Icloud Accounts. Icloud Inc would be shutting down several accounts.
You will have to confirm your Icloud account. So you are required to logon to your Online Icloud Account with the provided link below.
    ICLOUD.COM/EMAILVERIFICATION
NB: Failure to to update your Icloud account will result to a permanent closure.
Thank you for being a loyal Icloud Mail user.
    Regards,
    Icloud Account Services
Without clicking on any of the links but scrutinizing them closely, they link to various Yahoo and AOL pages, the same with the emails used to send them.
Users should practice extreme care not to reply to any such correspondents, as they are indeed meant to get access to their iCloud login details.

I had the same problem some clown never removed theirs before selling to me either and then she got all defensive when I said I need her password to get it off, restore it she said, got me mad as **** man all she to do was run factory reset before she sold it silly blonde **** but here's what to do:
Obviously you can't erase and restore because you can't turn find my iphone off but you need it in recovery mode to bypass all the previous passwords.
    1. Turn the phone off
    2. Get itunes up with the usb in your computer but the other end NOT connected to the phone.
    3. Hold the home button, plug the usb into the phone whilst continuing to hold home. (Do not let go)
    4. iTunes will display iphone in recovery mode it must be restored before it can be used.
    5. iTunes will proceed to download the newest iphone software then run and sync.
    = What you need.
P.S this will not work for stolen phones because the lord jesus will not allow it.
