Red color clips after export to H.264

Dear friends,
I am very new to try use Color. I sent seq. from FCP to Color, changed some clips use Color FX, and than back to FCP.
After export seq. from FCP to H.264 for web, some of the clips appeared red.
Thanks for any answer.
Libor

Do you mean red render bars or the clips are actually Red? With Color you should avoid H.264 until after any rendering. ProRes or Uncompressed are the best codecs to bounce between Color and FCP.

  • Color change after exporting from Lightroom

I noticed a drastic color change after exporting a file from Lightroom to a JPEG file today. I have been using Lightroom for a while, and it never happened before. I am assuming that I changed the setting somehow and I cannot find how to fix it.
    Here is the original.
After exporting to a JPEG. The color is so drastically different. I tried both sRGB and AdobeRGB and they turn out to have the same problem.
It is not as clear as JPEG files, but edited files with Photoshop CS5 also looks slightly different viewed on Lightroom.
I would appreciate it if anyone could help me.  Thank you so much for your help!

Thanks everyone for looking into my problem!
    >Can you upload a sample of each
    >* Raw File
    >* XMP Sidecar
    >* Exported JPEG
I somehow can't find XMP sidecar files in my folders.... So instead, I exported the JPEG file to the 2nd JPEG file, hoping you can compare those two JPEG files.
The colors get lighter and lighter every time I export the files. I uploaded those files (RAW, 1st JPEG, 2nd JPEG) on line. I also changed the file samples from the original post because I can't add watermarks.
I checked my flles, but there is no preset applied to the JPEGs.
I am thinking of unistallng Lightroom and reinstalling it and see what happens.
    Thanks!

  • Workshop shows "Server Stopped" in red color even after the server started?

    Hi,
Even after starting the weblogic server from workshop, the IDE shows the status as "Server Stopped" in red color.
I already had web application so I imported it into the workshop and I started pointing the IDE settings to it.
Then I started the weblogic server from the IDE, the server has started but the status in the IDE is still "Server stopped" red color.
Then I deleted the .workshop file from "C:\Documents and Settings\userName" then
I killed the server and started it againg but no use.The status remains the same.
Can any one help me on this.
    Thanks
    Kicha

Recreate the application settings and point to the config xml of the server currently running.
Maybe there is a port-setting not correct or something.

  • Stuttering and synch problems after export to H.264

I edited some AVCHD video in Premiere Pro 5.5.0, rendered a 5 minute sequence, and exported to H.264 for Vimeo, using Vimeo's guidelines:
    NSTC
    1280X720
    29.97 fps (as shot)
    Progressive
    Square pixels
CBR 5 Mbps (tried VBR 1 pass and 2 pass as well, with no difference)
    Audio output AAC
    44.1 khz (from 48khz original)
    320 bps
bitrate precedence (tried frequency precendence first, no help)
The export plays fine in VLC player 2.0.1, but in Quicktime and after uploading to Vimeo, the audio plays well, but the video stutters and is mostly out of synch.
If it makes any difference, MacBook Pro, 9Gb RAM, Mac OS X 10.7.3
    Any ideas?

Well this is weird, and a likely candidate for the Journal of Irreproducable Results. I deleted the videos from Vimeo last night just before I posted to this forum. I then shut down the computer for the night. Booted up this morning, and the H.264 export played fine in QuickTime, and in VLC. So I uploaded it again to Vimeo here: https://vimeo.com/40655208 (password protected, by the way, intended for my client's approval. PW = DIYEFT) and it now seems to play fine.
To say I'm puzzled doesn't begin to describe it. If my internet connection had been slow last night (Time Warner cable, not the quickest out there) that might help explain the sutttering on Vimeo, but it wouldn't explain the similar stuttering in QuickTime.

  • CS4: Flashing black screens between clips after exporting

I'm having some trouble with a particular project when exporting video, and I can't seem to track down the cause. The primary problem is flashing black screens between clips, with the additional problem of occasionally having a clip that I fade to be completely black (ie, the first clip just fades to black instead of fading to the second clip).
I say "occasionally" because the problem seems to migrate depending on what I do to try to fix it. I've noticed that if I shift the clips .1 seconds one way or another where there is a black screen, it will sometimes fix the problem, but when I fix one of them the exact same problem will pop up in another place where it didn't exist before. I can also export a few seconds of video where the problem occurs independently of the rest of the project and the issue won't occur, but will then reoccur in the same place if I export the project as a whole. All of the video is from the same source and is in the same format (.MOV from a Canon 7D). I've edited plenty of other stuff from the same source on the same computer, and the only other time I've seen this problem it's been fixed by just shifting the clips a little bit in the timeline as mentioned above. If anyone can suggest ANYTHING I can try to troubleshoot this problem I'd really appreciate it, because right now this is driving me up the wall.

I've been exporting to h.264 exclusively so far. Below is a screenshot of where one of the offending screens appears between the two clips on the timeline (the yellow in the bar up top is there because I had stepped that clip back .1 seconds like I mentioned earlier and not re-renered the sequence). I've also verified that this particular spot shows no black screen on the Program Monitor - it's a completely smooth jump from one cut to another. Please let me know if you see anything that might be causing this!

  • Photoshop 7.0 - Problem Retaining Original Color Space After Export

I just registered for this forum & would appreciate your input.
I convert Canon RAW files to jpgs & always embed the sRGB color profile & color space in the converted files.. Once I open & edit one of these files in Photoshop 7.0 & save it, the color space is changed to Abobe RGB. I have tried many changes via Edit > Color Settings, but still the same results. I thought that the settings preset "Web Graphics sRGB Color Space" would do the trick - but it doesn't.
If I go to Image > Mode > Convert to Profile & select sRGB for both source space and destination space for an opened jpg file, the sRGB color space is embedded in the saved file - even after reopening in PS, editing, and re-saving. Must I do this for each jpg I edit?
Please educate me how to set PS so all exported files either retain the sRGB color space or have PS embed the sRGB color space upon export.
    Thank you.

This is of course, an issue of permissions so there may be no solution.
Absolutely not. Don't jump to false premature conclusions. As Noel said, it solely depends on detecting a previous install/ verifying the install media. Since the latter is out of the question, the first would be way to go, the point being that it merely looks for the respective registry keys in HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Adobe. Lucky for you, back then nobody cared to encrypt such stuff so it could be hacked in manually. Off hand I'm just not aware of the specific structure for the keys, though, but a little digging might turn up that info. In fact it would be almost identical to the ones for PS 7, which might already linger there just lacking the proper vlaues...

  • Wrong color profile after export - what am I doing wrong?

I'm a beginner in color management and color profiles and I have a problem with my exported files from AE CS6 (german version):
In my project settings I've set the working space to "adobe RGB (1998)" which is the same like my footage (JPEG Image-Sequence).
In my Output Module Settings I've set it also to the working space "adobe RGB (1998)".
I' ve tried to export it as h.246 and AVI.
And now the Problem: the exported clips are too bright and washed out. First I thought it is a problem with the Windows Media Player, but I imported the clips again to after effects and the showed Profile is now "HDTV (Rec. 709) Y'CbCr". This is the case with the h.246-clips. The AVI-Clips showed the profile "sRGB IEC61..." So the settings from the Output Module didn't seem to work.
The washed-out-effect disappeared after I set everything to HDTV, but I don't think this is the right way to go..
    Thank you for any help

Simple, really: You are using a) a wrong color space b) your system is not calibrated, but you have color management enabled and c) use formats that don't support color management. This is simply wrong from stem to stern, especially with regards to b) and c). Why would you even use Adobe RGB when video works on Rec 709 or even more generic sRGB? I think you do not even understand the point of CM on a fundamental level. you don't dictate the color space by your source files, you simply import them into your working color space - regardless of whatever it is set to. The color metrics engine will apply any corrections necessary based on the associated/ embedded profiles, which ultimately is the whole point. Conversely, enabling CM for output will require a format that actually uses those corrections, which comes down to only a handful. so to cut a long story short: Unless you are willing and technically able to establish a proper CM workflow simply leave it off and just use the default sRGB that AE ever has used.

  • Why is the color changed after export?

    Hi
The colors of my movie change after i export them.
I tried to find the anser on all kind of forums but i believe i'm the only one with this problem.

    I've made no color correction.

  • Color quality after exporting video

I am trying to make a video with all of my photos, and after I export the video, the quality of the images totally gets ruined. The color is not as vibrant and the images are not as clear, I am using the highest mode to export, so I was wondering if there is anything that I can do to improve the quality!

I figured it out. I had to reduce the size of the exported file. It looks a lot better now.

  • Colors change after exporting from 5.2 upgrade

I did not have this problem prior to upgrading to Lightroom 5.2
I import .jpg photos into lightroom, adjust brighness and colors, export photos. All of the exported photos have odd colors. Blue skies are too purple. Warm woods are shifted greenish. The new photos are unusable because the colors are so distorted. It looks like the hue is shifted but I cannot be sure.

  • Color different after export

OK image looks great in LR...RAW shot with 5D and edited in LR. Export to desktop, flickr, for email, ANYWHERE I export as jpeg...the color changes. Skin is orangy and yellowie and not pretty.
Here is a link to the example.

    WHAT IT GOING ON???

First, make absolutely sure you are exporting to sRGB jpeg. If you are exporting to other color spaces and you are not using color managed apps to watch the files (e.g. Firefox 2.0 is not color managed), you will see a color shift. If you are already doing that, Lee is probably right. Vert likely a bad profile. Even if it works in Aperture and other apps. This can happen because Lightroom uses the perceptual rendering intent, while most apps use the relative colorimetric intent. The difference should be almost inperceptible (pun intented), but some canned profiles and profiles generated by certain calibrators have a bad perceptual intent embedded. Also, if you are using dual monitors, make sure that they are the same or that you know what you are doing. Lightroom will usually pick up the profile from the main monitor. But when you then drag the window to another it often does not pick up on the change.

  • Color fades after export

So I've tried a handful of file formats but no matter the type it seems that every export flattens the color (in comparison to what I have on my FCP canvas window)
Any thoughts to why this would be? (I previewed the exported files on multiple computers and monitors too...)

I gets darker but I do not know how it will affect further use of the QuickTime movie in Compressor or DVD Studio Pro. Just try you can always revert back to allow dithering. I have used when I was working with SD and had no issues.

  • Audio tracks are clipped after export to Quicktime

I have a small (16 slides) keynote file that runs perfectly in Keynote.
I have individual voice audio files for each slide as well as a seperate "master" soundtrack running in the background.
When I export to QT the individual voice audio track is clipped off at various times on each slide. The slide's other transitions continue to run with the background music playing just fine. The next slide begins as expected, playing all sound files, until the individual voice audio file is cut off again.
Exporting at different resolutions seems to produce the same frustrating results.
The background music is a QT movie file. The voice-over is an Mp3.
    Thanks for your help.

Doesnt solve the problem. the soundtrack is synced at first but then is progressively, increasingly out of sync. A couple of seconds late on a 7-minute film.

  • Everything plays perfect (audio & video). Mute clips after exporting (sounds fine when not exported)

Alright... this is the 1st time I use Adobe Premiere CS5.5, and I´m using the trial version.
I hope the image I uploaded is clear, but if I click PLAY while I ´m using the program, everything plays absolutely perfect.
Problem is when I export. If you can see there, there are like 7 audio bars there, I don´t know if that could be a problem, but I can´t seem to put all of them into a single track.
The main audio files DO play in the exported movie, but many others do not...
Any help??? I really need to fix this.

    Microsoft AVI

    Audio coded: uncompressed
    Channels : stereo
    sample type: 16bit
    Video codec: DV PAL
    ASPECT: D1/DV PAL(1.0940)

    use frame blending
    use previews

  • IMovie HD 6.0.3: After making 10 movies where I clipped portions from a larger clip (and exported the smaller clips), suddenly iMovie clips are much shorter after I export them.

    Hi there,
I am using iMovie HD 6.0.3 on an older MacBookPro (OS X, 10.4.11).
I took an AVI video and imported that into iMovie HD.
I then created smaller clips out of that - like editing a 20 minute video into small, 30 second clips.
I made about 10 of these smaller clips, exported them using "expert settings," and burned the results to DVD. These all worked fine.
Suddenly, the final product that I export is much shorter than the clip I created. For example, I'll create a 30 second smaller clip from the original. When I review this 30 second clip, it is what I wanted.
When I export this 30 second clip, it makes a QuickTime movie that is only 23 seconds. (The first 10 I made did not do this).
I tried extending my clip by 7 seconds, hoping to end up with a 30 second clip after exporting. The result was even shorter - like 15 seconds.
I have checked disk space - it has at least 500 GB free space. I have tried exporting the clip to both my laptop and to an external hard drive. The results are the same.
I just tried using the "crop" feature to see if my end product was better - but it was the same.
Does anyone know what is going on? Why did this start after making 10 successful exports? What can I do to get it working right again, as I have 3 more clips to make and am running up against a deadline.
    Thanks so much!
    Heidi

Since I can't edit this post... (Why?) I'd add: fast forwarding and fast reverse (shift key and arrow left or right) the HA files is also not smooth. They play alright. I'm surprised iMovie can't handle them either. I didn't have a problem with the earlier camcorder's HA files... (All were converted MTS files using Movie Converter.)
