Redirect from page within one site to an entirely new site?

Hi folks,
I have created a new website: http://wakatipucollection.co.nz as a replacement for a page I had been hosting at http://arrowmark.co.nz/clients
At the Arrowmark site I have updated the menu bar and text links to take visitors to the new stand alone site but I still have collateral out there, including business cards and QR codes, that use the old arrowmark/clients address.
I have inserted an iframe into the old page so that visitors see the same information as at wakatipucollection but it's not really ideal and I don't like its appearance.
Is there any way to apply a redirection to just one page in a site to another site altogether? Or if not, is anyone able to suggest a workaround that is more attractive that this iframe?
Thanks in advance for advice,
Jo

Thanks for replying.
arrowmark.co.nz/clients is not in a separate folder - all of my pages are in the root directory. Do I HAVE to create a separate folder for the page for this to work?
Also, how would I know if the host is verified?
The php solution will pose a bit of a problem as all the links/images in the page you are tring to 'get' will need to be absolute path links - http://wakatipucollection.co.nz/images/lake-hayes-panorama-2012.jpg - any scripts you'll need to use the absolute url as well:
<script src="http://wakatipucollection.co.nz/SpryAssets/SpryEffects.js" type="text/javascript"></script> and any css links.
You can change all those and it should work.
The other possible way would be to use your htaccess file if you have one!
Insert the following which should redirect anyone who accesses your old site to your new one.
redirect 301 http://arrowmark.co.nz/index.html http://wakatipucollection.co.nz/index.html
However the branding wont be preserved but can't you just add a subtle logo or something at the top of the page saying 'formerly Arrowmark' I mean who looks at the url address bar?

  • Can I add a custom .html page as a separate page within my site?

I'm creating a website for my local baseball association using iWeb 1.1.2.
I'm given several .xls files for schedules, rosters, etc. and I can save them as an .htm/hmtl page.
But within iWeb, it doesn't look like I can import them as a separate page within my site.
Is this possible? I suppose my only option is to create an external link to the pages correct?
Will iWeb '11 allow me to do this?
    Thanks!

Yes, you can in one of two ways:
1 - put the custom page on your server and embed it into one of your iWeb pages using an HTML snippet and iFrame code as done in this demo page: Embed a Site Within an iWeb Page.
2 - put the custom page on your server and in iWeb create a totally blank page, name it for the custom page and add the following redirect code in an HTML snippet:
    <script type="text/javascript">
parent.window.location = "URL TO THE CUSTOM PAGE"; </script>
Thanks to Cyclosaurus for this code
When the visitor clicks on the page in your iWeb navbar they will immediately be redirected to the custom page.  You'll need to add a link on the custom page to send them back to your iWeb site.
If you modify/update the custom page it will be automatically updated in your iWeb site without having to open iWeb.
UPDATE:  3 - or add an HTML snippet to on of your pages and put the HTML code from the custom page into it.  That will display the custom page on your iWeb page.

  • Why do I have to re-zoom (via ctrl +) after renavigating to every page (ie, clicking on various pages within Facebook site)

I have Firefox 3.6.13 on a high-resolution (1920x1200) laptop screen. It used to be that I could CTRL+ and zoom in on a website such as Facebook.com or NYT.com once, and then every time I clicked on a page within that site, such as one individuals' Facebook profile or one NYT article, it would remember my zoom settings and allow me to read comfortably. However now, every time I click on a new page, it resets the zoom to the default, which is very small font. The default is way too small for my eyes. This is becoming a huge problem as every time I navigate to a new page, I have to squint to see what's there and resize/zoom. I have to do this thousands of times a day??

If you need to increase (or decrease) the font size on websites then look at NoSquint or Default FullZoom Level.
    * Default FullZoom Level - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/6965
    * NoSquint - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/2592
If you need to increase or decrease the size of fonts and other elements in the user interface and web pages then increase the String pref layout.css.devPixelsPerPx from 1.0 to 2.0 in 0.1 steps to see what works best.
In current Firefox versions this pref is a String value parsed to a float and allows to fine tune the dimensions of all elements (user interface and web pages) more precisely.

  • Ad page for one site won't display, but works fine with Internet Explorer

Main page of one site displays fine, but ad page won't. Works fine under Internet explorer. Didn't have problem before.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
    (2) Remove your live.com cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these. While viewing a page on the site:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • My hyperlinks don't work to the pages within my site.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?  I highlighted my text, then completed the steps to link to a page within my site.  The page is listed in the drop-down menu and everything.  I select it. When I preview, my title / link changes color and all; I even get the "hand" icon when I mouse over.  However, my link doesn't take me to that page.  What am I doing wrong?

It's just a "site" on my computer.  I'm a teacher who just wants to use Muse to create lesson presentations that have links.  It is  my first time with Adobe Muse.

  • Passwording a page within a site

Back in the day, I was able to password protect a page within a site, or at least I thought I could. Now it seems I am unable to do so in iWeb '09. I found where I can enable an entire site to be passworded but it goes away when I select "publish to FTP server" instead of Mobile Me.
    Did I miss something?

Go to where you host your website and see if you can password protect a folder/directory.
It's usually done in a cPanel, or whatever the name is your webhoster allows you to manage your website with. Similar to this at GoDaddy :
    http://help.godaddy.com/article/4057
Protecting a Site in iWeb only works with MobileMe.

There has been no mention of "AAM" which I know understand is the abbreviation for:

The "My site Host (url)" is the url of the

And After that then will I have permissions to have lists and

  • I downloaded firefox 3.6.13 and now when moving through sites it will unexpectedly not be able to load a page within a site. How do I fix this problem or revert to a previous version of firefox?

The first few sessions Firefox seemed to be running great with improved speed. Yesterday, when I opened Firefox it could not open my homepage even though I checked for my internet connection ... my email service was working perfectly. I rebooted the computer and started Firefox and the homepage opened fine. I then visited an online newspaper site opened from my bookmarks. I was able to read one or two articles on different pages, but then when I selected another page in this site, Firefox was not able to access it (just keep trying to make a connection to the page). I restarted Firefox and went into an online banking site, again through a bookmark. Again after successfully accessing several different pages in the site Firefox was unable to connect to a requested page.
Later in the day I restarted Firefox, entered the banking site and successfully completed my transaction. Visited several other sites and had no problems, then again Firefox could not load a page.
This problem has continued today when looking at the online paper.
I would like either a fix to this problem, or to return to the previous version of Firefox.

Google Toolbar Options, in the Search tab, make sure that '''Enable the Google new tab page''' is check-marked. If that doesn't fix it for you, see this for support information about the Google Toolbar. <br />
    [http://www.google.com/support/toolbar/?hl=en] <br />
Or visit the Google Toolbar forum. <br />
    [http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Toolbar?hl=en]
As far as your UserAgent showing Firefox 3.0.11, see this: <br />
    https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Websites+or+add-ons+incorrectly+report+incompatible+browser
You might want to consider getting rid of that '''desktopsmiley''' program that has messed up your UserAgent, it is known as Malware.

  • How to create multiple pages within one navbar entry

I'm trying to revamp my site to include specific information and files for the classes I teach at the university. What I'd like to do is to have one entry on the navbar entitled "University Classes" or some such, and have it lead to a page where I can have a list of classes as links, each leading to its own page. Is it possible to do this, or do I need to create an entire new site for this purpose?

To make the link to the second site be incorporated in to the navbar of the main site add a totally blank page in the main site and name it to indicate the classes site. Then put the following code in an HTML snippet on that blank page:
    <script type="text/javascript">
parent.window.location = "URL TO PAGE ON SITE YOU WANT TO REDIRET TO"; </script>
Thanks to Cyclosaurus for this code
When that page is clicked on the visitor will be immediately redirected to the classes site. You can put a similar blank page on the classes site redirecting them back to the main site.

  • Is it possible to give each page within one pdf document a specific set of print settings?

I have a complex document (catalogue) that requires printing. There are several different printer settings required and each one is specific to each page within the document. For instance pg 1 is single sided in colour, page 2-3 is duplexed in b&w, page 3-8 is duplexed in colour, etc.... Is it possible to give each page within the pdf document a given set of print settings and then print the entire document as a whole?

    Hi jennyskop
I assume that is not feasible ...You need to give the print command again and select the respective pages and their settings !

  • Solution sought: finding inter-linked pages within a site

    Hi,
Is there a button or function that tells me what other pages link to a page that I have open at the time? I know about Find and Replace, Check Links Sitewide and Change Link Sitewide, but none of these (that I can work out anyway) seem to have what I'm looking for.
    For example:
I have been asked to delete a page, and at the moment I have to remember or search for it's (relative) path, then type it into Find and Replace in order to find what else is linking to it within the site, then go through each page deleting the link (or use Change Link Sitewide).  It is the intial search that is the laborious part.
Ideally, a button that finds what links to the page I have open and brings back the results would be perfect (as in Find and Replace results), but in the meantime, a neat solution/process or function is sought.
I work in a large organisation with a large website, so this does crop up on a regular basis.
    I am using DW CS5.
    Thanks in advance.
    Merrin

DW doesn't have a magic button you can press that will show you which sites or pages in your site have links to a particular URL.
Use Google Webmaster Tools for this.
         1. Log-in to your account.
         2. Go to Your Site on the Web >  Internal Links.
         3. Type the URL of the page in question, Google will show you all the pages on your domain that link to that page.

  • Multipe discussion boards within one site collection, each with their own email?

So we use several list servs and these have become an issue and the data is lost discussion based on you cannot collectively house and search for information and attachments.
I have a few questions that maybe you could help in my research:
    1) Is SharePoint discussions capable of having multiple discussion boards in one site collection, each with their own email address to replace the function of a list serv (so at a minimum content can be organized, with attachments available, and replies
    can be seen/sent via email.)
    2) From an attachment perspective; what is the best way to ensure virus blocking in the above scenario IF the above scenario is able to be done
    3) Is there OOTB functionality here or is there a recommended third party product? (I am not looking to build out a custom solution if at all possible to avoid that)
any thoughts or input here would be greatly appreciated!
    ~Kat

    1) - Yes, discussion boards are just specially formatted lists and yes, each discussion board can have their own email address.
    2) -  Blocked file types can be configured in CA and I believe that SP will strip out any emails with blocked file types attached (not 100% on that, probably 95% sure)
    3) All out of the box (assuming SP will block the attachments as I assumed in #2

  • Redirect iWeb Pages To External Sites?

I have a persona domain that I have linked to my .mac account. I have a previous blog that I am trying to substitute on my site instead of having to create a whole new one using the iWeb blog feature. How do I do this?
Currently, I have tried to change my CNAME records at my Domain control panel. I use blogger.com so I entered in a new CNAME record that would direct to the correct destination field.
All I want to happen is to have on my navigation bar where it says blog to redirect to myname.blogger.com. I can not figure out how to do this. Maybe I am just making it too complicated.

I was struggling with this same problem for a few hours tonight and finally got it figured out.
    1. Create a blank page in iWeb and set it to be included in the navigation bar.
    2. After publishing your site, find the file iWeb creates called "index.html" and open it with a text editor. (I like TextWrangler, but TextEdit should work as well.)
    3. The file should be very short. Find the section that looks like this:
    meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url= PageName.html" /
    4. Replace the portion after "url=" with the full external URL you want the navigation bar link to point to. For example, your final line might look like this:
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=http://myblog.blogspot.com" />
    5. Select "Save as...", and use this file to replace the blank iWeb page you created for the Navbar. (If you made Blog.html, this will become your new "Blog.html" file. (Don't just save the file, or you'll screw up your index file. We're just using it as a template.)
For an example of this fix in action, here's my site where I did this exact same thing earlier this evening:
    www.timelypersuasion.com
(click on the "blog" link in the navbar to see the external redirect)
    Hope this helps.

  • Linking pages within my site

I know this is so easy, but for whatever reason it gets me
everytime!!!! I know how to create links with in my site but
everytime I test it in the browser only the first link works and
then the second works, but goes to a different page. I also want
every page to link back to the homepage but having issues with that
as well. I imagine it has to do with how my folders are set up on
the server. I have the info to log on remotely to the server if
anyone cares to see what I am doing....Please help...I just want my
    site up and running!!

I have looked at your web site and firstly I must say it
looks nice, clean, clear and attractive!
    From your first page you have;
    http://www.paisleyquill.com/index.html
    - all the header links are working fine.
When I click on the Wedding link from the index page it goes
    to;
    http://www.paisleyquill.com/weddings.html
    - That’s fine.
However if you click again on wedding link on the
    /wedding.html page it goes to:
    the anniversary page -
    http://www.paisleyquill.com/anniversary.html
I’m not sure you want the wedding link on this page to
go to the anniversary page do you?
If you want the wedding link on the wedding page to go back
you need to add the hyperlink -
    http://www.paisleyquill.com/index.html
    - so it goes back to that page.
I’m just trying to show you what you need to do step by
    step.
Write down on paper your page links and where you want them
    to go.
I’m not sure what software you’re using but in
dreamweaver you have a property box that shows you all your links.
Just highlight the words with the link in them and it shows you the
link in the property link box.
To find the property box go to the windows button on the top
of your dreamweaver page and your find the properties button. Click
on this and in the property panel should appear at the bottom of
you page. In there you will find a box with the word links. If you
put your page in Design or Split mode, again highlight the word
example Wedding and you will see that word with the hyperlink
viewable to it in the property link box.
I hope this will help you?
    Gary
