Redirecting URL after flash video ends , help?

Hi,
I created this flash video SWF here:
www.funduefoods.com (click
"Watch Our Chocolate Fountain Video!"). When the video ends my
client wants the page to be redirected to the Fountain page. Is
there a simple action script code for this? I know one way is to
embed the video into the timeline, then add a getURL code in the
last keyframe, but I would rather have the video be a progressive
download. Help???
Thanks

You could also add an event cuepoint to the end of the flv
and use a listener for that cuepoint and trigger the getURL that
way.
It's easy to do and examples are in the Flash Help. Search
'cuepoints'.
Note: Cuepoints inserted with something like After Effects
(the way I usually do it) have a greater accuracy than those added
with Actionscript alone. Info about that is also in the help
docs.

  • Redirect to url after flash video completes

    I've embedded a .flv file using Insert/media/flash video in
    DW 8.02. Is there some way I can get it to redirect to a specific
    url once the movie completes?
    The only options currently seem to be stop/rewind.
    Thanks,
    Rashid.

    you have to set this up in the flash file (in ActionScript).
    when it reaches the end:

  • Web Auth Type: Customized(downloaded) Redirect URL after login not working.

             5508WLC as anchor controller with WLC1 and WLC2 with WCS. I have 2 public ssids set up to go directly to the internet.
    Everything is working as it should.  I downloaded the web auth bundle from Cisco and  will just use a disclaimer page and then if the user clicks on the accept button they will be redirected to our company web page, and then they can get out to the internet.
    I have edited the aup.html and login.html to say what I want it to.  I have 2 different login.html pages and bundle to a .tar file like the documentation says.  I download it via tftp to the controller and it is successful. The disclaimer page opens up when I connect and it looks as it should.  The problem is I cannot seem to get the accept button to work. It redirects to a web page but it is undefined.
       I must be missing some setting somewhere, but I just can not seem to find it.  Is there any line I need to edit in the login.html files that will redirect the page.    The config on the Web Login Page  Redirect URL after login is http://www.mccg.org which is our home page.
    Any help will be appreciated.  I cannot seem to fine very good documentation, or I am just overlooking something.
    Thanks

  • Show text after a video ends

    Hi,
    I imported a video (progressive) and would like some text to
    appear after the video finishes. The video is in frame 1 and I
    inserted a keyframe after that and added text. When I play the
    movie all I see is the text blinking, no video. What did I do
    wrong?
    Thanks in advance.
    Robert

    Try this:
    Add a stop action to frame 1
    stop();
    also, add this:
    var myListener: Object = new Object();
    myListener.complete = function(eventObj: Object) {
    trace("media is Finished");
    gotoAndStop(2);
    myMedia.addEventListener("complete", myListener);
    Make sure your video component has an instance name: myMedia
    Add a stop action to frame 2.
    test movie.
    I am assuming your video is an FLV outside of flash right?
    You are using the media display component
    to display it right?

  • Firefox crashes after Flash videos play with black screen

    Whenever I'm playing a video with Flash, the screen is black although the sound is playing. Then Firefox is crashing.
    I'm using the newest Firefox Version (28.0) on Mac OS 10.9.2 (newer Macbook Air) and the newest Flash version. I tried Safe mode and deactivated my plug-ins to make sure it's Flash.
    I re-installed Flash and installed but it didn't help.
    My Firefox crash reports say "hang | libsystem_kernel.dylib@0x15a3a" under signature and "EXC_BREAKPOINT / 0x00000002" under crash reason.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Loading URL after flash movie finishes

    I have created a flash movie which i have taken into a html

    I'm far from an flash expert but off the top of my head you
    could try adding this to a blank keyframe at the end of your movie:
    getURL(
    http://www.whatever.com,
    "_self");

  • Flash Video Presentation Help!

    Hi all, how's it going?  I've been wanting to create a flash presentation similar to the one on the page of this website.  This is NOT my website by the way.  Does this require actionscript?
    http://cmonato.myprimosite.com/tour/the-product/
    Is there anyone that can direct me to a good, professional tutorial that I can use to learn to create these types of presentations using flash?
    I know it will take some time to learn and develop and I'm willing to put in the time to learn.  I just would like to learn from a professional tutorial and not some random, generic looking tutorial that doesn't really teach a thing.
    If someone here can show me I'd greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks in advance and take care,
    Les

    The flash in the web site mentioned below has a few concepts that needs to be understood.
    Considering that you are a newbie to flash, I think the best and most professional help for learning flash comes from adobe itself.
    If you need to know what flash is capable of doing and how to get comfortable using flash professional, I suggest you visit this link
    http://tv.adobe.com/product/flash/
    If you want to directly jump into creating small animations and understanding the terminologies, I suggest you look into the following link
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/flash-in-a-flash/episode-1/
    If you want help using action script 2 or 3 I suggest you use search for adobe flash live docs in google. Its similar to MSDN, but its for Flash and action script.

  • Adding content after importing video

    I'm a newbie with an advanced question... I think. I imported
    a .flv file (about 5min) into frame 1 of layer 1. After the video
    ends, I want to add some closing effects (some gradients with text
    that pops up and says thanks for your time). Is there a way to do
    this in a nutshell? If this requires advanced actionscript or
    something harder, please say so and I'll have to source this out to
    someone. Thanks!

    Well,
    It's not that tough. It depends on what you mean by
    "advanced" actionscript. You can create a movie clip with your
    closing effects, and then load it when the video finishes. You
    would need: A listener to detect the end of the video, a movie clip
    to load, and code to load it. I am not sure how well you know
    flash, but poke around with those things and see what you can
    do.

  • WebAuth Redirect URL Duplication

    Hello
    I have WLC2106 with sw 4.2.205.0 and have enabled webauth, such that any users first attempt to connect to the internet will be intercepted as expected.
    This works fine if going direct to a link with NO proxy, and it works fine if adding ":8080" to the end of the url as well.
    I have the following problem though if I specify a proxy server in my IE settings (IE7).
    I go to open a web page
    http://192.168.1.1
    get redirectected to
    https://10.1.1.1 of the WLC, correctly so, however, the actual URL appears like this:
    https://10.1.1.1/login.html?redirect=192.168.1.1http://192.168.1.1
    so, once authenticated, which works fine, the redirect will try to pass the user to the website
    http://192.168.1.1http//192.168.1.1   (note the obvious duplicate in the address, but also the missing : in the second url)
    This does not happen when the proxy server setting is turned off and I have put the WLC virtual address in the proxy bypass list.
    I have also tried both with and without an address in the "Redirect URL after Login" text box.
    Has anyone experienced this, or, does anyone have any idea what it might be?
    Thanks in advance
    Anthony

    So the portal woks, but the user goes to their page on their iPhone. Have you tried to add the redirect in the HTML code instead? I have not had problems the way you have it setup on the wlc. On the iPhone are you using the browser to log in or are you joining the SSID and letting the iPhone pop up the login.
    Thanks,

  • Missing audio after export. Please help!

    So I made a video for myself and friends on iMovie and included some music that I legally purchased. This video is entirely non-commercial so I didn't see an issue with using some music for it.
    when I export from iMovie, I get the video with no sound and then after the video ends I get the audio with no video. Can anyone explain to me what in the world is going on? First I can see the entire video with no audio, then all I see is white and the audio from the video pops up.
    Last problem is that all the music is missing from iTunes. I can hear all the other audio, but the music I imported from iTunes is missing. It's just the regular audio I imported from the video camera with the clips. Can someone please help me out?
    THANKS!

    hi Sue,
    In my timeline I had the music across both audio bars. Once I reimported the audio, it was all on the third timeline bar. It was colored orange. The audio files do not overlap at all however. So the top bar is filled with the video tracks. The second bar is empty. The third bar has the audio files. They are one after another, seperated by a second or two of silence. There is audio playing on some of the clips of video, but on most of the clips I have muted so that the music should be all you hear. I actually muted the clips themselves, and not the entire bar.
    All the boxes on the far right are checked. I do not have a camera attached. I do have an external hard drive attached via firewire. I have over 80 individual clips in the video. I have 512 Megs of RAM and a 1.25 Ghz processor on my lampstand iMac G4. The file is about 9 minutes long.
    when I export it to quicktime all the video shows up, without any errors except for the fact that it is completely silent. At the end of the video, I get a white screen and the audio from the video clips starts playing, in order, as though I extracted the audio from the entire video and placed it at the end for no reason. None of the music plays. The files that were muted appear to be staying muted, but the ones that have sound are playing. I followed the instructions above about burning a CD, importing the audio files from the CD and then exporting the video to avoid copy protection issues.
    Under my advanced options in the Preferences window I unchecked "extract audio in paste over" and "filter audio from camera" after the first two times this happened to me. the problem continued after I unchecked those.
    I think I've given you as much info as you might need. If there are any other questions please ask and I'll try to get the info for you. Thank you VERY much for your time and help.

  • How to have web page open in same browser window after redirect in Flash video placed in Dreamweaver?

    Hello,
    Would be grateful if anyone can help me.
    website: www.Paris-Pet.com
    Currently, a flash video plays on the index page. The following action is placed in the last frame of the video in Flash:
    navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://www.paris-pet.com/home.html"));
    This is working as intended with one exception: Instead of directing to the home page from the index page when the video is completed, it opens up the home page in a second browser window, leaving the empty browser window of the flash movie. This is not the seamless design I was hoping for, and I've also been told on some computers, blocking pop up windows is preventing them from smoothly transitioning to the rest of the web site.
    I would like the redirect to open the home page in the same browser window as the movie in the index page played.
    Please help. Print designer in over her head.
    JM

    Brilliant, Jon. Thank you so much. For those of you who stumble on this, I did have a tiny bit of trouble when I edited the actionscript; the video didn't play as expected. After trial and error, this is the code that worked both in playing the video and opening up in the same browser window:
    navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://www.paris-pet.com/home.html"),"_self");
    The difference seems to be this:  ")     before the comma prior to "_self");
    Again, Jon -- thanks!

    I am unable to view flash videos from all websites except youtube after updating to Firefox 4. All help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    * https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
    If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
    In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in <u>[[Safe mode]]</u>:
    * Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    * Hold down the Shift key while double clicking the Firefox desktop shortcut (Windows)

  • Help inserting a flash video into my web page

    Hello!
    I'd love some help inserting a flash video into my web page. My web page is hosted by Viviti, templated, and edited online. I can add html to it, and I have the html source for my flash video. I also have uploaded the flash file to the server. Since I am very html illiterate, though, I need some help rewriting the html script so it can be published. There are two problems- firstly, no 'headers' or 'body' allowed in the script- these are already a part of the template. Secondly, I don't know how to rewrite it to refer to the uploaded files. It's also imperative that the full screen mode functions. I've pasted the source code for the flash video here. Please help!!!
    Thanks!

    What you basically need to do is copy the sections of content from the code you show into the template (assuming the template already provides the <head> and <body> sections of the page.  So in the head section of what you show, take everything starting with...
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    all the way down thru...
    </script>
    , inclusive (in the head section only), and paste that into the head section of your template.
    Similarly, take everything that lies between the <body> ... </body> tags (exclusive of the body tags) and paste it into the body section of your template wherever you plan to display the Flash file.
