Reduce the size between two Iviews in Layout Page

Hi All,
I want to reduce the gap between the two iviews in the layout page of my portal.
For this i have downloaded com.sap.portal.layouts.framework.par
and i got two .js files
1) WAandNavPanel.js
2) light_navpanel.js
So now in which file i have to change the size.

In the Folders Tab, right click on folder then click Reveal in Explorer. This will open an Explorer window with the folder selected. In Explorer you can right click > Properties or navigate to whatever you want to measure.

Interaction between two iViews on one page

Hi Everybody!
I have have one question and if you think I am blind, then I apologize for this.
I have two iViews on a page. The First (iView 1) is showing a Link List from KM
and the second (iView 2) is showing the content of an external link.
I would like to implement the following logic:
When the user clicks on a Link in iView 1, the content should appear in iView 2.
Can this be done with standard iView parameters or do I need to implement it on my own?

KM navigation has a core par file in USR(installation) directory com.sap.km.navigation use it in IDE eclipse or nwds and alter the code using epcf and rename it as your class and redeploy it and make it as a template.
you can use this way otherwise please do see the proerties of KM navigation iview which may suggest the way out.hope this helps you .while using the code you have to implement epcm.donavigate and paa parameters to other iview.please don,t forget to give points

I have developed a model in visual composer which contains
two iviews in a single page .The first iview contains the input fields and the data service.The second iview contains the output form.I should get the output in the second iview when i click a button or a field in the table.I am unable to pass the data from one iview to another iview during thios process.And also help me in navigating between two different pages and data transfer between them.Please help me regarding this issue either by sending any documents or by giving useful suggestions,

How to minimize the gap between two regions in a page

How to minimize two regions in a page ? I have two regions in page but I need to minimize the (default) space gap between these regions as it looks too large.

Is there a way to reduce the size of a final PDF created for print when saving in any software (especially illustrator)? I don't want any quality to decrease at the same time. Thanks!

Personally I would avoid optimizing the PDF's via Adobe Acrobat Pro unless you understand what you are removing from the PDF; having said that, it is the most effective way to reduce the file-size in the right hands.
If I am sending out layouts for commercial print I change my default Print / Export setting from Standard to PDF/A-1b:2005 (CMYK). This will resolve a lot of common print problems for print-ready documents and it should embed your fonts and flatten transparencies etc.
If your document is still too large you run an Audit Space Usage using Adobe Acrobat Pro. In the left pane enable 'Content' and then hit the button in the top left corner of the Content Pane and choose Audit Space Usage.

Reduce the size of Input box comingby default with search query

Hi,
I have created one EO and VO and one jsp for that . Inside that VO , there is one option Named Criteria, which is having All Queriable Attributes option , on drag and drop of this option i have got default search page for all the attributes which i had in my form , But with every dropdown am getting one input box to specify the value of my search, i want to reduce the size of that input box . there is no code in the jsp for those attributes.

Filed bug# 6501297 to track this issue. Thanks for reporting it.
For now you'll need to manually add an additional facet to the content of the query component's "valueStamp" facet with the id of the same name as the attribute and manually set the properties on an <af:inputText> to the desired width.
Between Tech Preview 2 and production the Query form component is being simplified to be more metadata driven, so this temporary workaround is applicable only to the TP2 release.

you can do these by two ways,
1-> By reducing the font size
2-> reducing the line spacing
both can be adjust in Smart Style what you are using.
If you not using any style for this, default style will take.

How can I reduce the size of IPhoto ?

I have tested IPhoto with a few hundred pictures.
I do not find this software very user-friendly, in particular because I can no longer locate the files of these pictures. I kept fortunately a copy of my complete set of my photo collection.
I removed all pictures from IPhoto, but the application shows a size of 600 Mb.
How can I reduce the size of IPhoto and recover this storage space?

There are three ways (at least) to get files from the iPhoto Window.
1. Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. Show File: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
Rolls in the iPhoto Window (View -> Film Rolls) correspond exactly with the Roll Folders in the Originals Folder in the iPhoto Library Folder. You can move photos between Rolls, you can rename rolls, edit them, create them, as long as you do it via the iPhoto Window. Check out the Info Pane (wee 'i', lower left) the name and date fields are editable. Edit a Roll Name using the Info Pane, the Roll Folder in iPhoto Library Folder/Originals will also have the new name.

What is the best way to reduce the size of my Library

Over time I have been extremely lazy and have not managed my Library very well. I have used CS2 along side Aperture and have done all the following:
1 - Edited files in CS2 and then imported them into Aperture as a TIFF or PSD
2 - Edited files in CS2 and then imported them into Aperture as a TIFF or PSD then made further adjustments in Aperture
3 - From Aperture 'opened files with external editor' (CS2) and made adjustments in CS2
4 - From Aperture 'opened files with external editor' and made adjustments in CS2 then made further adjustments in Aperture
And to top all this off I have been merrily keywording and changing the Metadata. Switching between CS2 and Aperture in this way has left me with some VERY big files (especially the TIFF that Aperture produces when I use the 'open with external editor function'.
I am looking for advice on how I can set about reducing the size of some of these files and what a suggested approach might be for 1-4 as each of them presents it's own special problem.

Hard drive capacities keep increasing. Easiest (seriously) is just to buy a larger hard drive. The time expended trying to save space on previously manipulated images is seldom worth the effort.

How to transfer parameters between two iViews?

I have two WebDynpro based iViews (StartView and SecondView). when I press the button in the StartView, the EP will navigate to the SecondView. During this process, I want send a parameter value from the StartView to the Second View. In the StartView, I use the follow method to navigator:

So is there any other good mechanism to implement the data transfer between two iViews.

Set location of components and reduce the size

I want to resize JavaFX component and shrink the components which are next to it. Here is the result which I get:
When I click on the angle of this component I can resize it down and right.

The components which are next to it are pushed down and right. Part of them are behind the visible part of the screen.

All components are placed in BorderPane,VBox,HBoxand againBorderPane. I don't want to allow components to move. I want to shrink them and use Scrollpane` when their size is reduced. Can you give me some hits how to solve these two problems?

I did something similar the other day. Based on the resizing of the scene I adjusted the position.

You should be able to do something similar, when you add a change listener to your component and handle the resizing of the other components.
What I don't understand is why you would need a scrollbar, when the components shrink down. I would think it would be the other way round.

How to reduce the size of Input Schedule (Excel Template)

Hi,
I am preparing Static Input Schedule (Due to complexity, I am unable to use EvDRE). Due to many EvSND's and Formulas used in the template, the file size is almost more than 10 MB.
So it takes a lot of time while opening the template. So is there any way to reduce the size of the excel file (Input Schedule template).

Here are some suggestions on ways to reduce the size of your static input template, which sounds to be rather large. Please note that these suggestions are not in any order with regards to being the most effective in reducing the template, but overall should help in reducing the size.
- Make the EvSNDS as dynamic as possible. Even though it is a static template, try not to use an EvSND formula which contains a reference to each dimension you are loading to. I'm not sure how many dimensions you have in you application, but if you are referencing 12 dimensions in each EvSND, and you have thousands of EvSNDS, that takes alot of size. So, if you are doing this, see if there is any commonality with any dimension with the input schedule and hardcode that dimension's member in the control panel. For example, if all the evsnds are going to the same Category (i.e. BUDGET), you do not need to reference the cell with memberid BUDGET in each evsnd cell, but instead be sure it is set in the Control Panel of the Template correctly.
- Only have base level members in the input template. Many input templates are built so that after the data is sent, the summary level (or parent level members), are retrieved in the template so users can see summarized results after a send. If possible, build the report with base level members only, and build a report to view summarized report.
- Keep the number of Woksheets in the template to a minimum.
- Make the layout of the report as simple as possible. Try to keep the Conditional Formatting to a minimum.
- With regards to the formulas in the template which you mention, I'm not sure if you are referring to Excel calculation formulas, or something else, however you do want to keep the use of formulas to a minimum.
