Refine edge not working PSE 11

Hi, I'm getting very frustrated because I cannot figure out the refine edge tool in PSE 11. I have watched the tutorial by Bob Gager and I've read other suggested instructions, AND I do every single thing Bob Gager does in his video, but it's just not working for me! When I'm using the refine edge tool, no hair is selected, and if some hair IS selected it leaves a white fog over it. I don't understand why this isn't working. I was sooo excited about this feature!

Probably you are not using the right settings in the Refine Edge Dialog box. Can you share the image with us so that we can try it at our end.

Refine edge not working in cs6 64 bit

This might be user error, but I'm having difficulty with the Refine Edge tool. When I use Quick Selection to highlight a subject, and click on Refine Edge, I am unable to add or remove part of the selected region from the mask. I can erase, or draw over, and it shows, until I depress the mouse, and it goes back to the original selection. I reset my preferences and still not working. It has worked in the past. Just stopped working.

Lync 2013 /w Edge not working properly (internal/external same domain name and all "external" users"

I've got some issues with a Lync 2013 setup.
The config consists of 2 lync servers. One FE and one Edge. All seems to work except audio in meetings and Sip.
The setup is like this (fake ip's used):
Front End:
Internal IP: 172.16.0.10
External IP: x.x.185.10
All ports open in Cisco ASA
internal AD DNS: dialin/lync/meet/lyncdiscover to Front end internal ip. edge/lsedge/sip points to edge internal ip
EDGE:
Interal IP: 172.16.0.11 (no gateway configured)
External IPS: x.x.185.11, x.x.185.12, x.x.185.13
All external IP's are direct internet facing, no NAT (a firewall is in place).
All external interfaces are using a wildcard certificate.
All server are running in a remote data center, so basically no internal users. We all connect to the external interfaces. The Windows domain name (AD) is the same as our External DNS (companyname.com).
Autodiscover works, we can logon, chat but there is no audio. The audio test failes. Also SIP is not working with a sip trunk.
External DNS: sip/webconf/av are pointing to their external ip's. sipexternal is a cname to sip. lyncdiscover/lync/dialin/meet all point to the Frond end External ip.
_sip._tls/_sipfederationtls.tcp/_xmpp-server.tcp all point to the sip.companyname.com ip.
I just can't figure out what is wrong.

@PaulB_NZ Thanks for the input. In my opinion the FE does need an external IP. How else will you be able to connect if you are a remote worker?
The Edge is (asfar as i know) needed for Enterprise voice and Federation with other (external) sip domains. It's not needed for basic (chat/video/whiteboard etc) Lync functionality for both internal and external (remote) users.
The Edge is to communicate with services/users outside the origanisation.
I do still think that the basic topology (FE with internal IP and Nat'ed external ip working with an Edge with internal IP and 1 external IP nat'ed to 3 DMZ ip's) is correct in this case.
I can be wrong and in that case would like to be pointed to the correct configuration.

EDGE NOT WORKING AFTER 4.0 UPDATE

I was overjoyed when I upgraded the OS of my Iphone to 4.0 but the joy was short lived as I came to know that the EDGE stopped working after the upgrade. I am using it in India with Airtel as the Service Provider. I spoke to Airtel and they opined that EDGE would not work on IOS 4.0. Even after the upgrade installation IOS 4.0.1, no improvement in result. Can any one help me on this?

Edge works fine in Australia, so I would be surprised if it didn't work in India.
First, Restart you phone.
Hold the Home and Sleep keys till the Swipe to Turn Off is displayed and the follow the instruction.
Once the phone is turned off, turn it back on and wait for your carrier to be connected and see if that works
If still no good then,
Check the following settings.
Settings - General - Network - Set Enable 3G to Off, This will turn on Edge instead.
Also in the same area Settings - General - Network - Set Cellular Date to On.
Now you should have Data over Edge not 3G.
If that doesn't make any difference, you may have to Reset the Network Settings
Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings.
This will also reset any WiFi settings you have, but to prove the problem, you will have to renew any Wifi zones you are using.
If Still no joy, change the phone to Airplane mode
Settings - Airplane Mode to On.
Leave it for a moment until you have lost connection to your carrier, the turn it back on.
If all that fails, you may have to restore the phone to new.
Airtel/Vodaphone (I presume this is the one you are using) advertise themselves as a 2G/3G network, so there is no reason Edge should not be accessible that I know of.

Quick Edit Adjustments not working PSE 13

In PSE 13, I use quick edits Adjustments. While putting the cursor over the options (ex. Smart Fix at 87) it shows on the image but if you click it to say apply, it doesn't apply. You can't hit "auto" or toggle the switches; the adjustment just never applies. Please help.

Can you clarify what you meant by "The css file didn't even changed"? Do you mean when you type on the keyboard, the code in the inline editor doesn't actually change? Or do you mean the changes are visible in Brackets, but when you look at the file on disk (using a different editor) the changes are missing? Or is the file saved to disk correctly, but the Live Preview isn't updated to reflect the changes?
If it seems like the file is not getting saved to disk after hitting Save in Edge Code, please let us know the answers to these questions:
Does the dot icon (indicating unsaved changes) disappear when you hit Save, or does it remain visible?
Have you tried both the keyboard shortcut (Cmd+S) and the menu item (File > Save) -- do they both have the same problem?
Have you installed any extensions in Edge Code? If so, try disabling them -- choose Help > Show Extensions Folder, rename the "user" folder to something else, then quit & restart Edge Code. Does that fix the issue?

PROBLEM SOLVED. With my new Mac Mini, I also got a new Logitech K750 Mac wireless keyboard and a Logitech M310 wireless mouse.
I just disconnected the new keyboard and mouse and re-connected my ancient, wired Macally keyboard and ancient Logitech wireless mouse. Bingo! The Photoshop Action shortcuts now work as advertised.
My apologies for not trying this sooner, but since the new mouse and keyboard have worked with absolutely every other app I have, I didn't suspect them.

Edge Not Working: 1 in 4 iphones suck bad

So I've had my iphone for about a year now (currently with 2.2), with no problems and many smiles, but for the past few weeks my edge hasn't been working at all. Wifi is good in every hotspot I can find, but the edge seems to be down. I've looked and looked and tried and tried every suggestion that there is online, save taking the ** thing to the apple store downtown (or to a brick), and nothing works. There are four people in my household with the iphone, and I'm the only one experiencing these problems with my iphone. Have any of you had this sort of situation? I'm planning on checking this post throughout the night and if there's no answer I'll be heading to the Apple Store in the morning. <Edited by Moderator> I'll repost when I get back from the store so that anyone having the same problems will know what happened.

This could be due to a SIM card problem with your iPhone. You can take your iPhone to the nearest AT&T corporate store explaining your problem and they will give you a new SIM card. You must activate the new SIM card with your iPhone via the iTunes activation process.
If not a SIM card problem, this may be due to a hardware problem and if so, Apple includes a one year warranty with the iPhone.

All aps that require wifi or edge not working

Is anyone else having this problem. I can't connect using wifi or edge. All I get is no service.

Edge not working and not showing E icon

All day today all over the city (San Diego, CA) I have been unable to connect to the edge network. Not even the "E" icon is showing on the phone. I have no problem connecting to WIFI at my house or picking up wifi signals at any location.
I have had the phone since July and have not had any problems with it before. Phone and text are working just fine.
I have tried troubleshooting (turning on and off, resetting network settings etc...nothing works.) I want to get other opinions before I call AT&T and knock some heads together. Thanks

Do I need 'reactivation'? how to do it? EDGE not working...

I have a vodafone locked iPhone 3G in India and have subscribed to an EDGE plan for prepaid here in Mumbai. It used to work fine so far now all of a sudden EDGE has simply stopped working. THE dodos at vodafone keep on transferring my call so am sure they wont be helping me around. Can someone tell me what could be wrong? I have cleared the safari cache and cookies.
WIFI works fine. Can I 'reactivate' my phone? if yes, how?

I factory restored the phone, let it get activated by vodafone and then restored from a backup. Didn't work.

Stage transparency in edge not working with dps

I try to make the stage transparency in edge, add some object with motion on that file, then paste it as a oam file into indesign for dps use. I try the way that discussed in http://forums.adobe.com/message/4401867, when preview in desktop, everything including the transparancy looks ok(except the circle object becomes a rectangle), but in a real ipad, the transparancy stage become a white box, I know it may have something to do with the poster image, so I use photoshop to change that poster image into a totally transparancy png file, still don't work at all. Somebody help me.

InDesign CS6 with newest updates
Folio Set to Automatically
Viewer Version set to 23
Adobe Edge Animate OAM-Packages have no transparency, they have a grey background when I place them in a Folio within InDesign which is set to "AUTOMATICALLY".
When I import the Animation as a WebContent it is fine.
The screenshot shows the differences:

EDGE not working?

Okay my EDGE wont let me connect to anything, no mail, no safari, no weather...
the icon indicates connection, and I'm in my house, where i normally have perfect signal that just decided to stop today.
I still can use the phone with ATT fine, just edge I guess isnt responding

I've had the same problem in the Miami market. E appears - no connectivity. Sometimes off/on restores, sometimes reset. Is not a constant problem, but is annoying and time-consuming. I have ample power bars and battery showing when this happens, so it would appear to be an AT&T issue. Sporadic.

EDGE Not Working Properly - iPhone Forced To Find It

This is weird. Normally I've got the "E" registered on the top of my screen and all is well when I'm not in WiFi range. After my first charge of a replacement iPhone (the other one was all kinds of whacko), the "E" no longer shows up unless I use an Application to force it. I can't manually check my email without first going into the Stocks or Weather widget first so that the EDGE network can be "found." Same deal with Voicemail. Voicemail isn't available until the EDGE network is forced to be activated using one of the "automatic" widgets. Any ideas?

Refined edge tool is not working

My refined edge tool stopped working. Before that it worked fine. Suddenly did not work. The magnifying glass and view dropped down window work, but none of the sliders do anything when moved. I've re-set the tool, and re-set all tools, still does nothing

Win 7. PC not Mac. No matter how fast I try to do alt ctrl shift. I do not get a reset window. However, I just found out in my programs menu I have CS6 and CS664 bit. Looks like I've been using 64 bit. when I open and use non-64bit, it appears the refine edge tool works.
