Refresh Filter - IP

Hi experts,
I have a workbook in IP , where I use a "List of Filters" object in Design Mode with their DropDown box.
When I login to the system in 'ES' , the filter is working when I select the DropDown Box in the workbook.
For example,
DropDown BOX :
Company Code = S00
Filter :
Company Code = S00
But when I desconnect and I'm logging in 'EN' , the Filter doesn't refresh.
Example:
DropDown BOX :
Company Code = S00
Filter :
Company Code =
Someone knows what happens? It happens always when I'm looging in diferent lenguage.

Wow, Dan, this question got buried somehow, sorry about that :(
We do not currently support any automated way to filter out IP addresses from being sent into AI.
Wouldn't you want to include traffic from internal to the company if they are accessing your site/app and using it?
Also, is this just a request you are talking about? On custom events, you should be able to just determine if you want to send an event or not based on someway you detect it is an "internal" client or not.
Alternatively, if you were will to control the request tracking yourself then you could just remove the WebRequestTrackingModule from your apps' web.config file and then call TrackRequest when you want to send one. This last part, however, would love
the ability of AI to correlate exceptions and pageviews (assuming you have the javascript SDK) to the requests.
I hope this helps without making it more confusing.

Filter refreshing problem

Hello, we are trying to refresh filter on a master table as you change pages. Both the pages use the same data control and if i search for the country Finland the results follow me as I move to the other page. Is there any way to avoid this problem.

If your using BEx Web for executing this query, try deleting the cache on your browser before re-executing the query with the new Sales Rep. The other thing you may want to consider is adding the following code prior to the READ TABLE statement:
CLEAR: ls_var.
This will ensure that the variable being read into won't have any values in it before it's being populated.

BEx variables not appearing in Filter tab

Hi All,
I dont see all the variables created in the BEx query designer in the modeller for any particular characteristic.
For example-Variable 'A' is created on material group in BEx query designer but i dont see that particular variable in modeller in FILTER tab.
Please throw some light on this.

Hi,
After you create a filter in query designer , highlight the filter char. and right click and choose "Save As" .. with technical name and description.
Now go back to planning moduler refresh filter section.Newly created filter in Query would appear here!!!!

Filters log file in planning

Hi All,
Is there any log file for filters in Hyperion planning 4... I was tried to refresh filter for one user but getting error like "Filter created Expect for XYZ user"...
Please suggest .....

1) You could look in the Essbase log and/or the application log file and find the refresh information there and presumably the username that cannot be refreshed.I found this below error message in Essbase.log...but i didn't get any thing is app.log file..

2) You could also figure out if that id is still valid. Maybe the person left the company and there's no way the id is still valid.Ans : user recently changed his email id another name

Error when refresh security filter in Planning 11.1.1.3

Dear All,
I found a error when I refresh securty filter in planning.
The error is related to the user who deleted in Microsoft Active Directory.
The shared service cannot find the user. How can I solve the error?

Keep filter in adf richtable after refreshing

Hi,
i use jdeveloper 11g (11.1.1.0.1) with toplink (no ADF BC) and have the following Problem:
I have a table with enabled builtin filtering. If i filter the data and make a refresh the filter is gone. The refresh is achieved by a call to the Execute-Method of the according Iterator. I played around with the Refresh-option of the SearchRegion but nothing helps.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Try and add an af:inputText component to the "filter" facet of the column. Then bind this field value property to a managed bean variable to store and hold the filter data. I think this should work

Dynamic Filter not being refreshed

I have a problem with a dynamic filter refreshing properly.
In a 7.0 Bex Query, I have a variable where I put in a Sales Rep. Based on the Sales Rep entered ('Z_M1Y_SALESREP04' ), I have a user exit that reads that Sales Rep and goes and gets all their customers:
IF i_step = 2.
READ TABLE i_t_var_range
WITH KEY vnam = 'Z_M1Y_SALESREP04' INTO ls_var.
When I run this for the first time, lets say Sales Rep A, it goes out and gets all the correct customers (shown in the Dynamic Filters of the Information tab). Now, if I change Sales Rep A to Sales Rep B, I am still getting Sales Rep A's customers. Does anyone know why it still shows Sales Rep A's customers?

Security filter couldn't refresh to Essbase from Planning but could create

Please kind help on look at this issue.
I updated some dimension access in Planning,and did a security refresh in management database menu.But the access didn't refresh to Essbase filter.
Then created filter in management security filter menu,it refreshed to Essbase successfully.
I would grateful if someone could tell me why the first way unsuccessful.

Problem Dynamic Security : No filter applied without Refresh

Hi, I am surprise because when I open my PowerPivot report on my Bi portal on Sharepoint 2013, no filter are applied, Dynamic Security not work, unless I do a refresh of my report. When I refresh my report, with an other windows account, all
the filter determined in the tabular data model, at the level of Role.
I use the User Authentification option at the level of my report PowerPivot.
Can you help to understand this bug and help me to resolve it.

I am not quite sure about your scenario. Are you using Power Pivot or SSAS Tabular?
Power Pivot itself does not have any security features so I guess you are talking about SSAS Tabular right?
Or are you moving data from SSAS Tabular into Power Pivot?
In this case if you you refresh the workbook a Service Account will be used and of course the securtiy settings will be derived from the credentials of this service which may be allowed to see all data

LR keyword filter cache not refreshed after Edit-In PS

This has driven me nuts since LR3 (running LR4.4 now). Whenever I edit-in PS CS6 (and older CS versions) the new image does not appear in the film strip. I almost always are filtering on keyword and I know the returning new image has the keyword(s) the original had. You can see the keyword count increase on returning to LR, but the edited image does not show. This forces me to close and then reopen LR which is very intrusive to my workflow. Since other user have reported the same issue since LR3, why has Adobe failed to fix what seems like a simple problem, simply refreshing the keyword filter cache? Can someone from Adobe respond? Thank you for a permanent fix (I hope).

Yip - I've mentioned this 3 times in this forum but no joy from Adobe...Its is v annoying. I have a workaround, which is still crap - I keyword all my images, then sort by keyword. I then flag the ones I want, but I work on them unflagged. So I just manually scroll along to the next flagged image. Then when you export to PS it appears back in the right place, making it easier to flag...
Please adobe fix this

How to refresh report filter?

Hello,
we are using BI XI 3.1 on a BEx 7.01 query.
In the WebI reports we use report filters (Region and Country) to restrict the displayed data.
When we filter the region e.g. for Europe, the table shows only data for Europe, but the filter for Country is not restricted to only the countries in Europe. It still shows all existing countries.
Is there a possibility to make the filter refresh dynamically?

Thanks for the answer, but I have some doubt if that works for my reports.
Beside Region and Country I want to add some more dimensions in the report, like product or customer.
When I select a country I want to see only the customers of that country, when I select a product I only want to the countries for that product in my dropdown box.
You see that no hierarchical structure can be defined for the data.
Is that the normal behaviour that the filters are not refreshed automatically? If I try the eFashion universe, then the filters are refreshed.

Drill Filter parameters getting changed when "Refresh on Open"

Hi Experts,
WEBI reports have some drill filters inside the tabs, saved with default values (for Ex MTD)
when user opens these report, it starts with the value which was saved in the report .
Recently we made these reports as u2018Refresh on Openu2019 to enforce authorizations.
Now when these report are opened by users and refreshed, the original parameters of drill filters with which the report was saved, is lost ( as all the data is purged).
So are you aware of any settings with which we can save the reports with some default values in the drill filters and still make it u2018Refresh on Openu2019.

Try this approach.
Create a local variable which woul act a a global filter in the report -
1. Drill Filter = If (Length(DrillFilters())=0; "MTD")
2. Display Flag = If ([Drill Filter]=[*TD]; "Show")
*[TD] is the object which has MTD, QTD, or YTD values.
Include this object in the report block, Apply filter on Show.

Howto refresh MAC-filter list in WCS ?

We?re using WLC4402 with WCS 4.
We are using MAC filters with WPA to limit which clients can connect.
My problem is this:
I think it is smoother to insert new MAC filters through the WLC web interface instead of using the WCS.
When I do this the new MAC filters I put in through the WLC web interface will not show up in the WCS, how can I refresh the WCS to make the new MAC filters show up there ?

Make sure the controller is using version in Release 3.2.78.0.If not upgrade the controller so that updates are sent properly to wCS .Max number of mac filter that could be configured is 512 on WCS 2.2

Failed to refresh user's security filter

Hi - I'm having an issue with a user ID. User was having a lot of problems doing Essbase retrievals in Excel, so tried refreshing their security filter in Hyperion Desktop. I get a 'security filters were created successfully except for: username."
So I recreated her ID in Planning, removed her ID in Essbase and removed her filters in Essbase. I added back all the groups that she belongs to in Planning, now I am back in Hyperion Desktop trying to do a push down for her ID and I still get the same error message.
Then I went to some other people's ID, highlighted their name and did a refresh, some of the say successful, some of them give me the same error message about security filter refreshed except for: username".
What in the world can be causing this?

also<BR><BR>DISPLAY PRIVILEGE USER ALL; will list all privileges granted to a user directly. Any line that isn't "no access" means that the user has privileges assigned outside a group. I periodically do ann audit on our systems to ensure we have't got any direct users that have privileges granted outside groups.<BR><BR>Of course anyone tagged individually as a supervisor will come up on this check.

Planning Security Filter refresh and Essbase is Crashing

Hi,
I am on System 9.3.1 and I am doing a Planning security filter refresh and Essbase is Crashing. Please advise in this case.
Security is fine on this cube. It used to work fine earlier. Now from few days we are facing this issue.

We see same issue in 9.2.0.3, but only with 1 of our 5 applications. Was never able to get support to identify a cause, our resolution is to push users in small groups and save the essbase.sec file. Real pain. You could try stopping essbase service, using essbase.bak file and restarting then try to push and see if it works. I did identify issues with our openLDAP which I felt was the cause, I was able to clean it up in TEST and it works, but did same in Prod and worked once, then reverted back to crashing again, unless we push users in really small groups. Interested to see if you get a 'fix' from someone...
