Reg Data in table in two languages

Hi,
Here i am having the reqt that i need to extract the data from SQL Table in to BI 7 system.In SQL, I am having the customer table, in that, Customer name and Customer phone numbers will be there in both English as well as arabic. so, we have to extract them as it is into BI . Is it possible to extract like that? if yes please let me know where we need to set the settings for that.

Generate the Table maintainance of That table with Maintenance type 2step .
give
            Maint. Screen No.    Overview screen       1
                                             Single screen        2
                               Doble click on single screen 2
Then it will open the screen number 2 in flow logic where you will find number of
   module
in process after input
   write a new module like module inset_entry_table_abc and double click on this module it will create include for that module in that check the sy-ucomm and if it is save command the take value from screen field and insert into table ABC.

The possible solutions are outlined in the distributed database documentation
They are
a) trigger (6.0 and higher)
b) advanced replication. Creates triggers on every table. Requires every table to have a primary key (8.0 and higher)
c) Streams (Uses logminer, has no impact on table. Requires every table to have a primary key, or supplemental logging will be used. (9.0 and higher)
d) Change Data Capture: superset of Streams (9i and higher).
If you don't require realtime updates you don't need c or d. b is difficult to manage. Using a) the source db can potentially have to wait for the target db to complete it's transaction.

Retrieval of Data from More Than Two tables

Hi Experts,
How to get the data from more than two tables.
By using Jdbc, and through only core java.
I mean if i entered some empid at command prompt,
then the complete data (where empid is presented at some tables like L1,L2,L3,L4.) is to be displayed.

We have a batch scheduling tool that automatically runs Oracle jobs and when it runs the jobs it stores a record from the instance in a table. I am trying to write a query that pulls up all of the jobs that ran today and compares them with what ran on the same day last week to find out what jobs didnt run today. So far I have the below but I can't get it to return anything. I am using Toad for this

Updating data in table control
The ABAP language provides two mechanisms for loading the table control with data from the internal table and then storing the altered rows of the table control back to the internal table.
Method 1: Read the internal table into the Table Control in the screenu2019s flow logic. Used when the names of the Table Control fields are based on fields of the internal table.
Method 2: Read the internal table into the Table Control in the module pool code. Used when the names of the Table Control fields are based on fields of the database table.
Method 1 (table control fields = itab fields)
In the flow logic we can read an internal table using the LOOP statement. Define the reference to the relevant able control by specifying WITH CONTROL <ctrl>
Determine which table entry is to be read by specifying CURSOR <ctrl>-CURRENT_LINE.
After the read operation the field contents are placed in the header line of the internal table. If the fields in the table control have the same name as the internal they will be filled automatically. Otherwise we need to write a module to transfer the internal table fields to the screen fields.
We must reflect any changes the user makes to the fields of the table control in the internal table otherwise they will not appear when the screen is redisplayed after PBO processing, (eg, after the user presses Enter or scrolls) However, this processing should be performed only if changes have actually been made to the screen fields of the table control (hence the use of the ON REQUEST)

Table for multiple languages

Hi:
I have an application with a description field in 2
languages. Wich is the best approach regarding performance, one
table with 2 fields for different languages or putting descriptions
in a separate table?

to normalize your database it would be prefered to use two
tables. with a single table you would be repeating the name, date
in/out, and location for each entry, so if you had two languages
you would have duplicates of each of those fields.

I'm developing a procedure and within it I'm trying to access another server and make a select into a table that belongs to this another server. When I compile this procedure I have this error message: " PLS-00904: insufficient privilege to access object BC.CADPAP", where BC.CADPAP is the problematic table.

You need to have a Database Link between two servers. Then you could do execute that statement without any problem. Try to create a database link with the help of
CREATE DATABASE LINK command. Refer Document for further details

Error while creating data warehouse tables.

Hi,
I am getting an error while creating data warehouse tables.
I am using OBIA 7.9.5.
The contents of the generate_clt log are as below.

There are two rows in the DAC repository schema for the column and the table.
The w_etl_table_col.KEY_TYPE_CD value for DW application is UNKNOWN and for the ORA_11i application it is NULL.
Could this be the cause of the issue? If yes, why could the values be different and how to resolve this?
If not, then what could be the problem?

Strange. The OBIA 7.9.5 Installation and Configuration Guide says the following:
4.3.4.3 Create ODBC Database Connections
Note: You must use the Oracle Merant ODBC driver to create the ODBC connections. The Oracle Merant ODBC driver is installed by the Oracle Business Intelligence Applications installer. Therefore, you will need to create the ODBC connections after you have run the Oracle Business Intelligence Applications installer and have installed the DAC Client.
Several other users are getting the same message creating DW tables.

I am learning OAF; i am trying into insert the data into table using OAF. I followed the below procedure.
My table(OLF_TEST_TBL) Columns:
EmpID (Number), Ename(VARCHAR2 100), Sal Number, and who columns.
1. created Application Module (AM).

2. created simple page
name:EmployeePG

3. Assigned the Application Module to Page
4. Created Entity Object(EO)

2. selected create method, remove method and validation method.
3.checked generate default view object

1.under main region i created one more region using wizard

The displayed records may have been deleted, or the current record for the view object may not have been properly initialized.
To proceed, please select the Home link at the top of the application page to return to the main menu. Then, access this page again using the application's navigation controls (menu, links, and so on) instead of using the browser's navigation controls like Back and Forward.

Insert data into table from JSP page using Entity Beans(EJB 3.0)

I want to insert data into a database table from JSP page using Entity Beans(EJB 3.0).
1. I have a table 'FRIENDS', (in Oracle 10g database).
2. It has two columns, 'NAME' and 'CITY'. Both have datatype strings(varchar2).
3. Now from a JSP page, having two textfields, 'NAME' and 'CITY', I want to insert data into table 'FRIENDS'.
4. In between JSP and database is a Entity Bean(EJB 3.0) and a stateless session bean.
5. I am using JDev as editor.
Please provide me code ASAP or link with similar example.

Post the jsp form data to a Servlet which will act as a Controller.
In the servlet invoke the business method.

How to display data in Table control?

Hi Experts,
Can anyone please explain me how to display the data from two different tables(those two table is related with 1 field) into a single table control?
For Example: T1 has fields (F1,F2) and
                     T2 has fields (F3,F4) --> here F3 is foreign key for F1
I need to display the data F1,F2,F3,F4 into the table control.
Can anyone explain me?

Hi,
If F3 is foreign key for F1, then both fields will have same values. Then why do you need to display both F1 and F3? Either one of them is enough. Try the following code.
types: begin of t_table,
             F1 type T1-F1,
             F2 type T1-F2,
             F4 type T2-F4,
          end of t_table.
data: i_table type standard table of t_table with header line.
select F1 F2 F4 into table i_table from T1 inner join T2 on T1F1 = T2F3.
You should create three columns in the table control with names i_table-F1, i_table-F2, i_table-F3.
After populating the internal table, refresh the control with the following statement.
REFRESH CONTROL <NAME> FROM SCREEN <SCREEN_NO>.
All the above statements should be in your PBO Module.

Dynamic Table with two columns

i have to create a Dynamic Table with two columns having 5-5 links each with some text...... three links r based on certain conditions....they r visible only if condition is true...
if the links r not visible in this case another links take it's place & fill the cell.
links/text is coming from database.
i am using Struts with JSP IDE netbeans

we have problem in Production when sale order created
P O date is update with dots and these dots we are unable to see at screen and data base table
we go t change mode of the order and delete the P O field with back space (button) and saving the order
when we see the change log of the order
there it is sowing
Old value = " . . "
New Value = " 00.00.0000"
Can any one give the suggetions to come out of this problem
This is we have noticed with only two customers

Hi Kishore,
Two things could have happened:
1) Since this is happening with only two customers - I am sure it has got to do with some custom code on your system which is causing this problem. I 'd suggest you to create a new order with all the fields
2) It could be a bug with SAP- might want to check relevant SAP Notes. ( But this could not be a reason, if yes should have had the same prob with all cusotmers)
