Event I used - *Formready
default path given by ALD  -
data.BodyPage.SF1.ITEMS.DATA :: ready:form - (Javascript, Client) -
And i  had written following code
var data1;
data1 = "Total"
if ( xfa.form.data.BodyPage.SF1.ITEMS.DATA[*].XBLNR.rawValue == data1 )
  xfa.form.data.BodyPage.SF1.ITEMS.DATA.XBLNR.border.fill = "True" ;

Answer will really be appriciated.

Hi,
I might be incorrect, but please check the foll-
In javascript, all the variables and values you use are case sensitive. Pls. check this. Make sure all statements end with " ; "
You may be able to activate the form successfully despite incorrect coding in the script.
How I check for errors is by display both the values I am comparing, using a popup as follows -
xfa.host.messageBox("Total: " + Total);

  • Catch error in javascript when using SAP script

    All,
    I have a issue when using Javascript to control the SAP GUI in that I get a "syntax Error" raised by Internet Explorer if I attempt to get the SAPGUI runtime object from the runtime object table if SAP is not already running.
    For example:
    I have a javascript function embedded in a web page as follows:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function displaymessage()
    var sapgui;
    var application;
    var connection;
    if (typeof(application) == "undefined")
       sapgui      = GetObject("SAPGUI");
       application = sapgui.GetScriptingEngine();
    if (typeof(connection) == "undefined")
       connection = application.children(0);
    if (typeof(session) == "undefined")
       session = connection.children(0);
    if (typeof(WScript) != "undefined")
       WScript.connectObject(session, "on");
       WScript.connectObject(application, "on");
    session.findById("wnd[0]/tbar[0]/okcd").text = "fb50";
    session.findById("wnd[0]").sendVKey(0);
    session.findById("wnd[1]/usr/ctxtBKPF-BUKRS").text = "0001";
    session.findById("wnd[1]/usr/ctxtBKPF-BUKRS").caretPosition = 4;
    session.findById("wnd[1]").sendVKey(0);
    </script>
    I have a simple HTML page with a button on it that calls the function.
    If I have already launched SAP GUI and logged in the code works fine and atuomatically navigates me to FB50.
    If SAP is not active and logged in then I get a syntax error!  The error is raised by IE when the GetObject("SAPGUI") is executed.
    Can anyone please help by either:
    a) explaining how I can catch this error in javascript
    b) suggesting a different way to call the GetObject
    c) suggesting a way that I can auto launch SAP to log people in if it is not already active.
    Note - Using VB is not an option as I need to embed the working Javascript code in a Siebel thin client application which only uses Javascript.
    All help welcome. Thanks

    Hey Gunter,
    Thanks much, that did work.
    The other error I spoke of was fixed with the new database, so apparently the two errors I spoke of weren't related.
    You seem to be a good help to this forum, thank you for that.... fixing my problem relieved me from much stress.

    firefox x86 32 on win8 rp 64 beta 16 gives persistent "eval in sandbox error" as "javascript error" even after uninstal/reinstal -
    have not yet uninstalled with deletion of all user files.
    greasemonkey runs some javascripts - I don't give a hoot if they are "secure" or not, or indeed anything about "security". oh well I am odd that way.

    Firefox beta 17.0b2 - Windows 7 pro x64 - problem started 10.13.12 after whatever Firefox auto update(s) installed that day. Not all sites, but MANY. e.g., Facebook. Whether Javascript enabled or not, with Firefox extensions/plugins on or off. Experienced as few as 4, as many as 20 (!!!!) error boxes to close before able to continue - depending on the site. Open in another tab or window still error boxes on CURRENT window, even if current site has no problem. Page refresh causes error boxes again. Any navigation on offending site (clicking on site links, opening photos, etc.) causes, again, error boxes.
    Troubleshooting: Uninstalled Java. Reboot, then tested Firefox, no relief. Uninstalled Firefox. Reboot. Reinstalled Firefox (17.0b2). Reboot, then tested again, no change. Upgraded Java to most recent (1.7.90.5). No change. Subsequently added Firebug and ConsoleExport so can provide more info.

    Hi,
    We had a customer that ran into the same exact issue and symptoms described in this thread. The issues occurred after some upgrades were made to browsers and java. Our customer was using Forms/Reports 11.1.2.1 (11gR2), OAM/OID (11.1.1.5) and mod_osso for the Forms-OAM integration.
    The issue was caused by a bug in OAM 11.1.1.5. The problem is when OAM authentication occurs, it does some web directs within it's internal java code. The HTML/JavaScript it tries to execute fails only in Chrome/Firefox. Applying the patch, supposedly fixes that faulty HTML/Javascript generated by OAM.
    Oracle Support documents on the issue and bug:
    - There is a Oracle Support article describing the issue: 1447194.1
    - Oracle Support Bug Number: 13254371
    To fix the issue:
    - Apply OAM Patch: 13115859. Its a generic patch that will work on any environment type.
    - If you use WebGates for your application, check out patch 13453929
    I wrote an article on how to install the patch: http://pitss.com/us/2013/04/04/oam-error-enable-javascript-to-use-oam-server/
    I hope this helps!
    Thank you,

  • 10.8.5 won't install-error message javascript

    I got this error message when trying to update from 10.8.4 to 10.8.5. App update said I don't have any updates to make but I'm not running 10.8.5 and it is listed as a purchased program in the app store.
    "OSX updated combined can't be installed on this disk. An error occured while evaluating JavaScript for the package."

    Nope. Same error message when trying to install just the 10.8.5 update rather than the combo or the supplemental. Any other ideas?
    I can't even find this error message when I search Apple Support pages.
    I'm headed for the app store to re-download Mountain Lion which should give me 10.8.5. It is 4.4 GB so it must be the whole thing.

  • Capture Media error in javascript level

    I am new in strobe media playback and OSMF. I notified that there should be calls in Flash for media error event (eventMaps[MediaErrorEvent.MEDIA_ERROR]). Could I retrieve the error ID, error message in javascript level, by adding listener in the callbacks of javascriptCallbackFunction, as similar as below
    function onJavaScriptBridgeCreated(playerId) {
         if (player == null) {
                                                           player = document.getElementById(playerId);
                                                      // Add event listeners that will update the
            player.addEventListener("durationChange", "onDurationChange");
                                                           player.addEventListener("complete", "onCompleted");
                                                           player.addEventListener("mediaError", "onMediaError");
    if it is right, what is the signatures for javascript function onMediaError? Thanks very much

    The OSMF/SMP player will toss error messages out to another JavaScript function by default - it looks for:
    onMediaPlaybackError  and if that function is present, it will pass the following 4 arguments:
    (playerId, code, message, detail)
    Listen for that and you will get all you need on any error.

  • Firefox 6 Gives me error "Protocol Javascript isn't associated"

    I have never had this issue before. I have just upgraded to Firefox 6, and now, almost all links, clinking on any link prompts me with: "Firefox doesn't know how to open this link because protocol (javascript) is not associated with any program"
    This has never happened before, but immediately after upgrading to FF6, it's been constant. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Java, which made no different. I'm completely baffled as to what may be causing this issue.

    According to a suggestion in another thread, you may want to try the following to return certain JavaScript settings to their defaults.
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the filter box, type or paste '''javasc''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) If the line with '''network.protocol-handler.external.javascript''' is bold (or shows user set true), double-click it to return its value to the default setting of false. This should get rid of that error.
    (4) If the line with '''javascript.enabled''' is bold (or shows user set false), double-click it to return its value to the default setting of true.
    If the links/buttons/etc. still do not work after that, please indicate whether any of the other settings show "user set".
    Any luck?

    Edited by: poroto20 on Jan 13, 2010 6:56 AM

    I would move this method over to its own function and pass the arg in full.
    Also if this is JQuery then it sould read, if this is Struts then there are better ways of doing this.
    if (this.checked) { $('#postal').hide()} else { $('#postal').show(); }"
    {code}
    When you create the method wrap it up in a try catch (Javascript try catch) and see what outputs. You can also use Firefox/Firebug to get better debugging information regarding JS errors.
    Also you should read as follows, otherwise you will get a JS error
    {code}
    if (this.checked)  $('postal').hide(); else  $('postal').show();
    {code}
    Note the ";" after the hide();
