  • How to import Support Package 13(SAPKW70013) for SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI

    Hi,
How to import Support Package 13 for SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI (BI Patch 13 or SAPKW70013)
Note no for that is : 1019055.
    Thanks in Adavance,
    Dushyant.

    Hi,
RTC for BI 7.0 SAP_BW SP 13 is scheduled in CW 21, that is coming week, after that you should be able to download it from service market place.
@others: Dont get confused about SPS release with SP release. BI has intermediate release which is SP release, SPS is SP-Stack release (which is NetWeaver release).
SP 12 correspond to SPS 12 which is sceduled CW 21.
    Hope this helps.

  • Need Link for Netweaver 2004S trial version for Windows 03

I want to install Enterprise Portal 6.0. To do this, I intend installing Netweaver 2004S  (7.0) as  portal comes bundled with this. The instllation will be on a windows server 2003 machine.
I am unable to find a trial version intallation for NW2004S for a windows 2003 server machine (64 bit). I found installations for NW2004S which run on linux machines.
I would appreciate if someone could send me a link for downloading NW2004S trial version either from marketplace or anywhere else. A link to the installation guide would also be helpful. Any suggestions are also very welcome.

  • Service Release (SR) - which Support Package Levels?

    Hello,
I have a general question in terms of Service Releases of a SAP solution:
Is there an easy way to find out on which Support Package Level (or Support Package Stack) a Service Release (SR) of a SAP Solution (or NetWeaver itself) is based?
Can I get this information in the SAP Service Marketplace?
Example: mySAP <solution> SR1 is based on Support Package Level <nn> of component <comp1> and Support Package Level <nn> of component <comp2>.
    Any hint is appriciated.

The interesting bit is that SR1 was released in April; while SPS6 was available in
January. The same goes for SR2; released in December; while SPS9 was
    available in September.
There is a gap of 3 months between the SPS was released and the SR is released
I assume that patches that have been released for the SPS are included in the SR
therefor a system that has SPS6 or SPS9 applied is not neccisarily the same as
    SR1 or SR2.
    Hope this helps...

  • Kernel NetWeaver 2004s SP 9 -- SP 11

    Hallo,
I want to install SP 11. So, in the marketplace there is no kernel for this SP available.
Is the kernel from SP 11 the same as the kernel SP 9??
    Thanks.
    Regards
    Stefan

    Log on to Service Marketplace
Support Packages and Patches > SAP NetWeaver > SAP NETWEAVER > SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 (2004S) > Entry by Component > Application Server ABAP
    Then Select O/S then Database...
There won't be an SP11 but about 114!

We want to move to SP12.
    Can I directly apply SP12 or I have to apply SP10, 11 & than SP12.
SAP has recommended to apply patches after 2 april 2007 using Solution Manager optimizer.
Solution Manager optimizer can only be used for ABAP stack and for Java stack i need to used JSPM correct me if I am wrong.
    Regards,
    Manish

    Hi

  • How to upgrade Support Package for NSP (Netweaver Sneak Preview) server?

    hello guru,
I have installed Netweaver Sneak Preview on my notebook. This ABAP Application Server 7 's support package is 12. Can I upgrade it to the newest support package? Can I do it in the normal way, just like normal SAP server, use SPAM?

  • Support Package Stack NetWeaver vs. ERP

When I use Maintenance Optimizer to get the latest Support Package Stack (13) from my ERP system (ECC 6.0), it does not get the latest kernel and Basis support packages.  After applying, the Early Watch report still shows the kernel is out of date.  However, if I go through Service Marketplace and get the latest NetWeaver Stack (16), it gets the latest kernel and Basis package.  After applying, Early Watch states that the Kernel is up to date.  How should the support package stacks for an ECC 6.0 system be applied - both ERP and NetWeaver stacks or ERP stack only which is not the latest?

    Hi,
Its Your requirement, So its better you should opt it for.
Mostly the ecc6 would contain all the components even like sap_hr and others,
but your nw stack doesn't have this.
Also you have to select the kernal like you have to make the appropriate settings in the selection page
which will get you the kernal files in the stack.
    Regards,
    Vamshi.

  • How can I get Support Packages for SAP NSP 2004s?

    Hi together,
I have installed the SAP NetWeaver 04s Sneak Preview.
How can I get the support package stacks (SP 6 and SP 7)?
I have only a small OSS-User for 'Freie Berater' (Free  Consultants). With that OSS-User it is not possibel to download the the support package stacks SAP Support Portal.
    Kind regards, Eva

    Hi Daniel,
the sp-level is 5. You can find it via system/status/ in the section 'SAP System data' (klick at the detail-icon).
Web Dynpro for ABAP works with that version. But I would like to have the newest sp-level. Our Web Dynpro teacher gave us some example sources and said that some of them might need sp 6. But I didn't test it.
I have another question: Have you worked in the MARK project a few years ago? There was a collegue named Daniel Kotte.
    Kind regards, Eva

  • SFTP supports in SAP Netweaver 2004s

    Hi All,
Can anyone please tell me whether the file adpater supports SFTP or not? We are currently on SAP Netweaver 2004s Service Pack 10.
    Satish

    Jin,
    ><i>Furthermore, there is currently no plan to support sFTP in the near future.</i>
That is rather sad. All Clients I have worked with have had  a <b>sFTP only</b> policy in place and so as a workaround we have had to write Shell Scripts to move the files from outside the firewall to XI and then use the File Adapter to poll over the files.
We were hoping that there would be some concrete plan on this.

  • Non-Unicode Support Post NetWeaver 2004s

    Hi everyone,
Our site runs an existing non-unicode environment, and are aware that we can definetly upgrade our existing environments to NetWeaver 2004s (Basis 7.0).
However will SAP provide future upgrade kits for later releases of SAP (eg Basis 8.x and higher) for non-unicode environments.
    Cheers
    Shaun

Thanks Matt and Eddy for your replies.
I had already read the "blog" Matt, and Eddy I have spent a heap of time in the service market place reading everything thats available on unicode including oss notes.
However here is a snippit from the blog the Matt directed me too:
    ========================================================
    2. This change only really effects NEW installations of SAP NetWeaver and SAP applications based on SAP NetWeaver that were previously available with non-Unicode installation options.
    3. Existing installations of SAP NetWeaver and SAP applications based on SAP NetWeaver that were based on single code pages can be upgraded to the new releases WITHOUT having to convert to Unicode. This is really cool as it protects your existing investments and you can live in the non Unicode world for a <b>little longer</b>.
    ========================================================
Note on "3." that is says at the end there "for a little longer". ... how long?  too what release?
From what I have read so far it sounds like anything above NetWeaver Application Server 7.0 will require a unicode conversion.
    Any comments??
Ideally I would like someone to just give me a yes/no answer.
    Cheers
    Shaun

  • Netweaver 2004S Installation stops in phase 'Create Java Users'.

    Hi,
We have an error in the installation of Netweaver 2004s on an Solaris X64 10 (64 bit). We have j2sdk1.4.2_13 (32 bit installed)
In phase 'Create Java Users' , we receive the following error in dev_UserCheck.clone :

    [Thr 4] *** ERROR => Can't load VM shared library (libjvm.so) (rc=-2)
    [jhvmxx_mt.c 1576]'
I think this is an java error.
We can't find a download for the 64 supplementation package for solaris
    X64. Is this supported?
    Kind regards,
    Serge Schelles

    Hi Serge,
I'm no Solaris expert, but if I'm not mistaken, JRE and JDK versions for the X64 platform are only available as of version 1.5. It's worth a try, you can run them both at the same time on the same server. Just point your JAVA_HOME to the 1.5 directory after installation and start SAPinst again.
    Good luck!
    Henk.

  • How to upgrade NetWeaver 2004 SS19 to 2004s SPS10????

    Hi,
I cannot find any useful information on HOW to do this.  Some links I follow eventually lead me to this page:
    https://websmp201.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001130682005E
which say that if you're running NW2004 SS19, it must be upgraded to SPS10.
Furthermore, NW2004 uses SAPINST, but NW2004s uses JSPM.  I can find info on updating NW2004 and NW2004s installations, but how do i get the stack from NW2004 to NW2004s????
Any help would be MOST appreciated!
    Thanks!
    David

    Hello David,
The upgrade tools are able to include SP Stacks of your target release into the upgrade procedure:
    1. The tool checks your current SP Stack and gives you the information which minimum SP Stack level you should use for your target release (the so-called "equivalence Support Package level"). This Support Package must be included so that no data is lost in the upgrade.
    2. You download the required SP Stack level (or a higher level) from SAP Service Marketplace and enter in the GUI of the upgrade where your SP Stack files of SAP NetWeaver 2004s are located on your hard disk.
    3. The tool will then upgrade your system from SAP NetWeaver '04 to SAP NetWeaver 2004s and also apply the downloaded SP Stacks.
So, the result of the upgrade in your case would be an SAP NetWeaver 2004s SP Stack 10 system, no manual patching would be required as part of the upgrade.
For more information, see the upgrade guide for SAP NetWeaver 2004s (available at http://service.sap.com/upgradenw2004s). There, also the Upgrade Master Guide is available that provides further information concerning the planning of your upgrade.
I hope this information helps to get an idea of the overall procedure.
    Best regards,
    Boris
