Regarding change documents in Project module

Hi All
Can we write change pointers in CDHDR table when we change the status of the project .
When I change the status of the project then status of the network is also changed.
Now my requirement is , as soon as the status of the network is changed ,entry should be recorded in to CDHDR.
I am able to record the changes when description or other things of the nework are changed but facing problem for status change.
Can we achieve this ?

This I am already doing and I am getting the records in JCDS as well as JEST table .
I just need to know is there any way through which we can write these records in CDHDR and CDPOS table. Because I am using SMD tool .
So i have created my own message type and done some configurations in BD52 transaction . When I run program RBDMIDOC program , this program reads all entries from CDHDR and CDPOS table based on the selection criteria defined in BD52 and log them into BDCP table. From BDCP table then I read these entries and perform my functionality.
When I change anything apart from status in the network it is logged in CDHDR and CDPOS. Status is going into JCDS and JEST table.
Now I need a advise from you , if i have to send the network record as an idoc to third party as soon as the project is released then what should i do. Is there any userexit on the save of CJ20N transaction or some other technique?

Regarding Change document read

Hi All,
Am using Change Document read function module to find out the changed material details. i want to fetch the plant from marc to filter the records am having the only relationship i.e material to fetch the details from marc and mara,with this i can't filter because for one material four plants will be there.so am using the tabkey from that function module to fetch the plant i don't think is this a right way can anyone explain how i can get a plant.

Regarding change document creation

hi all
I created the change document & there i mentioned the master data table name TCJ1T (Project types)
Updation to this table is done via standard tcode SPRO
but my log entirs are not going in CDPOS , CDHDR
now my question is :
by creating the change document, when i run the standard tcode where exactly the change document will be called to log the entries

Activate the object after creation and giving the table name
Once it is created entries should come into CDHDR and CDPOS tables.

Regarding change document generation

Hi,
In t-code SCDO, for one object class STUE_V I have added one new table MAST and generated the same. But while I execute my t-code CS01, the same is not appearing in exporting parameters in the standard program where it is calling my generated fucntion module.
Hence it is giving dump. This is part of BOMMAT idoc change pointer creation.
Could someone shed some light on this as I am really stuck here.

Have you tried generating after adding the table in the class ? This is more a generation issue. Might be the include LCSVBF30 has not got properly generated.
What I feel is if you are adding a table to a standard class then you must also change the code yourself and SAP is not changing the where used list of the update function calls.

Regarding change document objects

hi to all,
I created one change document object for one transaction say /tmw/tmw . Now I am trying to make changes in /tmw/tmw . table cdhdr and cdpos table are not updating anymore. but cdhdr and cdpos table are updating while passing data to function module /TMW/CHG_OBJ1_WRITE_DOCUMENT in se38 program. MY problem is tables are not updating while make changes in transaction(/tmw/tmw) screen . please help me .

The transaction you are using must contain the write document function modules.
steps:
1. Create the change document. (Use the transaction SCD0.)
2. Activate the change document for the object. (Use data element maintenance: transaction SE11.)
3. Generate an update for the object. (Use the transaction SCD0.)
4. Insert the appropriate calls in the corresponding programs "<----
Your write document will be havng fm's like CHANGEDOCUMENT_OPEN etc.
The same must be incorporated in your transaction also.

1. Read the change documents headers with function modules

SOLAR_MIGRATION of multiple projects & Change documents

Hi,
We are in the process off migrating solution manager projects to a new server using solar_migration. The idea is to migrate project by project since the projects are rather large.
Now I get the idea that the generated transport contains all the change documents, also those of of other projects not yet migrated, even though I have only selected one project for the migration. The reason I get this idea is that the size of the transport files of empty migration test projects runs into several GB, so they must contains documents that do not belong to it.
This could be a problem if for instance in 2 weeks time we migrate the second project which also contains all the change documents. This second migration could then overwrite the possibly updated documents in the project we migrated first.
Is the assumption correct that you cannot limit the migration of a project to only contain the change documents of that specific project?
If it is could we for the second project select the change documents based on a date range? And will the documents of the second project that have a change stamp before this date range authomatically become visible once the second project is migrated?

Hi Tom,
there is no risk to overwrite any documents, documents are identified by a unique ID, and each change generates a new version.
If there are objects (=documents) in the transpotr request, that should not be in there (you should verify from the transport objects), you should open a call to SAP asking for clarification there.

The project is having WBS and network created using assembly processing. The network say 10000 has got activities with work center (WC) and activity types 1,2 and 3.
The requirement is:
For the same network 10000 with the above activity types, Is it possible to create different work centers WC1, WC2 AND WC3 for Version 1, 2 and 3.

Error while approving change document(TR lost project code)

Hi All,
I am having issue in change document approval, when we are approving change document for unit testing or if release management approving change for pre-production or production approval, we are getting error, I started coming from last two days only,\
when I did detail analysis, in all transports project code related to change document, disappear
although if I create new change document, project code appear,
Do we have way to solve this issue?, I even not able to decouple the transport from change document, it giving error, do we have way where we can resync change document and transport?

Do anyone have some solution for this issue?, it is bigger than I thought, I can check it impacted all systems, and all transports, all transports seems to issue they lost project code in it we rollover maintenance cycle last week and this problem started from their, we put charm master note and few other charm fixes(notes) last week,
this problem not coming any new change document, but all change document created before rollover impacted

I am trying to trigger a workflow using change document object.
I want that to trigger the workflow on the material master change through MM02.
I have created a business object ZBUS1001 and wanted that on change of material master
the custom change document object should call the workflow
I went through all the material avaialable over SDN ,but can not find a change object for change in material master through MM02 for std business object BUS1001.
Please tell me how to find one.

BASICMATERIALCHANGED.
I have mentioned the details in the tcode SWEC.
And even in the workflow i have given the start of event as the BUS1001 and event BASICMATERIALCHANGED.
But workflow not called .
Do we need to maintain an entry in SWED?
If yes then in function module column what we need to mention.

If you are looking for the fm here it is.....
you can check this CHANGEDOCUMENT_READ_POSITIONS fm and its documentation.
If it is suitable for your requirement copy the same fm and make it remote enabled.
I think it should work for you.

Material Master Change Documents

We have currently added additional fields to MARA and I am trying to add the changing of these new fields to the Material Master Change Documents. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this?

I hope you are looking for change documents that would be generated whenever specific field value changes when you change material master. It would be stored in CDHDR and CDPOS.
One way is to add custom fields to be considered is to implement a proper BAdi/Enhancement.
Please check this sample program from other thread to find BADI and enhancement for a given transaction code. You just need to create a custom program in your system by cut and paste below codes.

Alternatively, you can do the following:
1. For what ever transaction u want the enhancement .. just check for the System-->status (menu) and find out the PROGRAM name....
2. Double click on to the program name and go inside the program (Abap editor)
3. Search for "Call Customer-function " ... and u'll get some search results .. If u get results then u have enhancement in that tcode .....
4. Then it actually calls a Function module .... copy the Function module name .... go to SE80 (object navigator) click on "Repository Information system" then Customer Enhancements .... Give the Function module name in the "Components" field and click Execute ....
ull get a list of Enhancements related to that Componene....
5. Choose which ever enhancement will suit ur business need ..
6. Go to CMOD... create a project .... assign ur enhancement ... and then code ur logic.... activate ur enhancement in CMOD ....... Ur Buisness need will be solved...
For a user exit......
Finding whether there is any User Exit or not for tcode VA42
1. For what ever transaction u want the user exit .. just check for the System-->status (menu) and find out the PROGRAM name.... ( The program name would be for our scenario "SAPMV45A" )
2. Double click on to the program name and go inside the program (Abap editor)
3. Search for the word "USEREXIT" .... u ll find all the user exits in the search result .. and find ur's then ...

Activating Workflow for Change Documents

I am working in cProjects 4.0 on ECC6.
I am working on the scenario of automatic email generation when change document is created for project element.
I have used sample workflow WS28700006 and following settings have been made :
1. Make the required settings in the SAP menu under Tools → Business Workflow →
Development → Definition Tools → Events → Event Creation → Change Documents
→
a. Overview (transaction SCDO)
Enter DPR_PROJECTS in the table.
b. Define Workflow Properties (transaction SWED)
Enter the following data:
Change document object DPR_PROJECT
Leading table in change document DPR_PROJECT
Change document key with structure DPR_PROJECT
Action: Change X
Structure DPR_TS_BUSINESS_OBJECT_KEY
Function module BAPI_BUS2175_OBJECT_KEY_SET
c. Linkage (transaction SWEC)
Enter the following data:

In cProjects I have I have attached word document, and another user changed it and changed document again checked in again with overwriting the old one.
But no workflow triggerd. In SWI1 transaction I cannot see any workflow triggered.
Is there any problem with workflow and process or changing document in cProjects is not write ????

Hi Niraj,
Please ensure that you have made IMG setting for cProjects > Basic Settings>'Activate Change Documents'.
'Change Documents' means that any change in the Project Objects will be recorded, and not the changes in the documents that have been attached.
I am not too sure about the workflow settings that you have made, but just try with the img activity that I've mentioned. You can test the same by making some changes in Project ( for eg change the Project Status) and save it.
