Regarding Forms Look & Fell 1.3.8 (Hyperlink in sigle line text item PJC)

I am using single line text item PJC in my form. I have a tabular block in which one text item implementation calss property is set to "oracle.forms.fd.LAF_XP_TextField".
Following code is written on when-timer-expire code
If lower(Get_Application_Property( TIMER_NAME )) = 'laf_timer' Then
Set_Custom_Property( 'CTRL.BEAN', 1, 'SEARCH_TEXT_ITEMS','') ;
Set_Custom_Property( 'FIN_ORD.ORD', 1, 'ENABLE_EVENTS', 'fin_ord.ord,true' ) ;
Set_Custom_Property( 'FIN_ORD.ORD' , 1, 'SET_HYPER_LINK', 'ORD');
End If;
When form run & after data execution only first record textbox show the hyperlink but no other textbox shows hyperlink except then first record.
Please guide.

Hello,
Please, ask questions concerning the LAF on the dedicated email : [email protected]
In you case, it is a generic issue using the Set_Custom_Property() built-in. If you want to set the property on every record, use the ALL_ROWS keyword in place of second argument.

Francois

  • Exiting the form when a text item has focus

    I am a beginner, beginner using developer/2000.
    I made a form with some text items that are linked to the
    database.
    When one of the text items has focus and I click the push button
    that i created to exit the form, I get the message FIELD MUST BE
    ENTERED.
    I want to exit the form regardless of whether the cursor is
    currently in any text items.
    I hope this makes sense.
    Thanks, fred

    What you probably want to do as well is set mouse navigate to
    FALSE on the text field.

  • Setting the cursor at the end of a text item Forms 10g

    Is there a way in 10g forms to set the cursor at the end of the text item without highlighting the text.
    I have a text item field when I query it and tab to the field, it highlights the whole text inside the block item. Users sometimes type without thinking so, we made it set the cursor at the end.
    I know in 6i forms there was a client package (d2kwutil) that accomplished this and if I have too, I'll use it via the WebUtil. I just was not sure if there was anything in 10g forms that accomplished the same task.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Chris

    Hello,
    You can also use the good old win_api_shell.sendkeys() d2kwutil function, that works also fine with Web versions.
    For instance, in a When-New-Item-Instance trigger:
    win_api_shell.sendkeys(get_window_property('WINDOW1',window_handle),'{End}',TRUE); Francois

  • [SOLVED] forms looking strange in opera since upgrade to gnome 3.4

    Hi!
    I just upgraded my gnome installation to gnome 3.4 and now I see some strange rendering effects in opera regarding forms.
    First problem is that text fields now have an inner border. This creates a 3D effect but looks kind of strange because the text overlaps this inner border:
    The second (and more severe) problem is that entries of a drop-down menu disappear when they are hovered:
    I searched through gnome's and opera's theme settings but couldn't find any option that could change this behaviour. I also tried removing the .opera directory but it also didn't help.
    Can anyone confirm these problems and has anyone an idea how to fix it?
    Greetings,
    Michael
    PS: The screenshots were taken in this forum (search form) but can be seen on all other websites with standard forms.
    edit:
    fixed in opera 12 build 1406 (currently beta status and only available on AUR)

    lucke wrote:Perhaps you have aldabra set as the gtk+ theme in gnome-tweak-tool.
    Good idea, but it's set to Adwaita.
    -- edit:
    ok, this is definately a problem with opera and the new version of Adwaita. If I use the old Adwaita version, that's included in gnome-themes-standard-3.2.1-1, as GTK+ theme both problems are solved. But then other things look weird...
    I reported this to the opera team. A workaround is to set "Dialog Toolkit" to 1 (qt) or 4 (neither gtk nor qt) in opera:config.

  • Parameter Form look & Fee changed after upgrading to the Oracle Reports 11g

    Hi All,
    We are using Oracle Database 11g, with Oracle Forms and Reports 11g.
    We are in the process of migration our customized application from Oracle Forms 6i to Oracle Forms 11g, during migration we have faced a problem regarding the look and feel of reports parameter form,
    We have almost 700 reports and 300 out of them are calling with report parameter form = yes,
    When we call any report that is using Report Parameter Form, we have found that the look and feel completely changed, although it is acceptable for us as we have standardized the parameter form, with default layout, but the only problem is that, we are unable to fixed the length of any field having LOV, i.e. we have a field, that is showing Department Name, having Select DeptId, DeptName from Departments order by 1 and we have set the Hide First Column, when we call the report the length of this field systematically increased according to the biggest Department Name (Department Name having the highest number for characters), we want to fix the length of every parameter to a certain size,
    Would gurus please advice?
    Thanks,
    Hassan

    Hi,
    I have seen this problem.
    I assume that Apex 4 do not give fxx name to items anymore in order where columns are in query.
    This is one of reasons why we have not been yet able to upgrade.
    And it seems this same problem exists in Apex 4.1 on apex.oracle.com

    What i need is , if function return false i need to stop any insertion,updation action that's going to be done by forms.( point to control insertion and updation)
    I don't want to use form triggure failure builtin. What should i do ? plz guide

  • Hi, will my downloadable PDF forms look exactly the same as when I upload but with spaces filled in?

    Hi, will my downloadable PDF forms look exactly the same as when I upload but with spaces filled in?

    Not sure I understand the question. Are you talking about the "Download Response as PDF" feature (to see the PDF filled out with the filler's data) or the "Download Submission Enabled PDF" (to sent to people to fill out)?
    If you imported a PDF in FormsCentral, the Submission Enabled PDF will look exactly the same as the imported PDF plus a submit button
    If you designed the form in FormsCentral and save the Submission Enabled PDF it will look very similar to the web form (switch the view in the Design Tab to Page View to see what the PDF will look like)
    The PDF doesn't use skip logic or show/hide logic so this mean that the PDF always shows all the form elements
    I answered a similar question today. See http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1251981

  • Help regarding form editor.

    Hello Sapients
    i need details regarding form Editor ( Tcode PE51) how it will works.
    where we need to write the code..how to call Form Editor in pgm..
    tnx in Advance..
    Sandeep

    Hi,
    HR forms are created using Tcode PE51. The program to use this form is Standard SAP programs. You can not write your own program to access this form.
    This HR forms are specifically designed to created Payslip. So the standard program to access payslip is again country specific. For e.g. US, the program name is RPCALCU0.

  • Speed up adding URL hyperlinks to bullets/selected text

    Hi, I'm doing a presentation that requires linking a huge amount of the bullet text to different sites. I was hoping to create some sort of macro that told Keynote to add the URL of the current active window in Safari to the selected text, but Automator can't do it and I don't know of any other way to create a macro (I'm new to the Mac world).
    At the moment, after go to the site I want to link to, switch to Keynote, highlight the desired text and open the Hyperlink inspector window:
    1) Hyperlink inspector window defaults to Slide (vs. Webpage)
    2) After I click Enable Hyperlink and choose Webpage from the pulldown menu, the URL defaults to my home page URL.
    This means I have to go to Safari, highlight and copy the URL, switch back to Keynote, highlight the homepage URL, paste the correct URL (from the active Safari window), click Apple-end to get to the end of the URL and hit Enter in order to hyperlink the selected text.
    I know there has to be an easier way.
    At one point, I accidentally did something that dynamically changed the URL in Hyperlink inspector to the active URL on Safari, but I can't re-create it. That, at least, would be some help.
    Any suggestions for how to simplify/speed up/automate this cumbersome process would be GREATLY APPRECIATED, as I am slogging along using this inefficient approach while trying to meet a looming deadline.
    Thanks in advance!

    Maggie, how desperate are you for a quick solution? One approach might be to edit the Keynote XML text file directly, adding the bullets and hyperlinks as elements in that file rather than through Keynote proper. This approach is relatively straightforward, and it is very fast, but it does involve getting down-and-dirty with the XML, which might not be everyone's cup of tea. It's honestly not that daunting, though, and just involved doing very minor editing to a text file within TextEdit. I don't know if it would work well for your specific needs, and it involves a completely different workflow than working in Keynote directly, but it might be worth a shot. Here's how you would add a list of hyperlinked bullets to a single slide:
    - First, create a single slide with a bulleted list with a single item that has a hyperlink to a website. This will allow you to see what the XML looks like when we open the XML file. Use an unusual word or string of letters for the bullet item to make it easier to find in the XML code. Save this one slide presentation, and close it.
    - In the Finder, hold down the Control key while clicking once on the presentation file. This will bring up the contextual menu. Choose "Show Package Contents". This will open a new Finder window that shows you the "guts" of the Keynote presentation, which is actually a collection of files.
    - Double click on the "index.apxl.gz" file. This is the file that holds the XML markup for the presentation. It is stored in compressed form, but when you double-click it, a new file, "index.apxl", will be created. This is a plain text file, editable with TextEdit, and it is the file you will modify. Delete the "index.apxl.gz" file, as it isn't needed now, and Keynote will automagically re-compress the "index.apxl" file when we open the presentation.
    - Open the "index.apxl" file in TextEdit (or whatever other text editor you like). You will see a mess of XML, without any real formatting. That's OK though, because you only need to edit a small bit of this file, and you will use the unusual word in the bullets you created as a search guide.
    - Find the unusual word in the text. This word is embedded in the XML code that specifies the bullet on the slide. This is the code that you will need to edit.
    The code that specifies a hyperlinked bullet will look something like this:
    <sf:p sf:style="SFWPParagraphStyle-263" sf:list-level="1"><sf:link href="http://www.apple.com/"><sf:span sf:style="SFWPCharacterStyle-38">Test1</sf:span></sf:link><sf:br/></sf:p>
    (The numbers of the "ParagraphStyle" and "CharacterStyle" may be different depending on the theme you used.)
    If you look at this snippet, you can see that there is a URL in the <sf:link> tag -- that's the hyperlink for the bullet text. You can also see that there is some text (in this case, "Test1") wedged between the <sf:span> and </sf:span> tags -- that's the text that appears on the slide, and in your file it will be the unusual text that you searched for in the file.
    Now, the cool thing is that, if you change this URL and this bullet text in the XML file and save it (having previously deleted the "index.apxl.gz" file), you will have changed the bullet text and hyperlink in the actual presentation. The much cooler thing is that you can add bullets to a slide by simply pasting multiple copies of the above code template into the XML file -- just make sure that you copy the entire bullet template (from <sf:p to </sf:p>), and that you paste it directly after another </sf:p> tag. (Be sure to use the template from your XML file, since the ParagraphStyle and CharacterStyle numbers will be different.)
    What this means is that the task that formerly involved going back and forth in the Keynote interface now just involves editing a text file. In the case of your task, for example, what you could do is create a second TextEdit window, paste the bullet code template into it several times, and then just drag and drop the URLs you want into the various address spots of the templates. You can also edit the bullet text directly in the templates. Once you're done, you can simply copy the whole batch of text and paste it into the appropriate spot in the "index.apxl" XML file, and you're done.
    Also, because this is now a text editing task rather than a Keynote task, you can potentially take advantage of applications that automate text editing to generate the bullet XML for you. For example, you could just create a list of the URLs, and then use the macro capabilities of Word, or (my favourite) NisusWriter, to go through the list and populate the addresses in the bullet templates. The possibilities are quite wide open with this approach.
    This is just how to do one slide, but multiple slides are just as straightforward -- simply start by creating a presention where each slide has one bullet point, with unique text in each bullet. Then you can easily find the section of XML code for the bullet of each slide, and edit accordingly.
    This may seem like a hugely involved and roundabout way of doing this task, but it works, and by making it a text editing task, it can make it far easier.

  • How to find the ID of the text item of the column in an tabular form

    Hello,
    I have created a tabular form report on emp table and made ONE OF THE COLUMN department_id as an text item using APEX_ITEM.TEXT APIs.
    My select query is
    select
    "EMPLOYEE_ID",
    "EMPLOYEE_ID" EMPLOYEE_ID_DISPLAY,
    "FIRST_NAME",
    "LAST_NAME",
    "HIRE_DATE",
    "JOB_ID",
    "SALARY",
    "MANAGER_ID",
    APEX_ITEM.TEXT(3,department_id,20,50,'readonly=true') department_id
    from "#OWNER#"."OEHR_EMPLOYEES"
    now how can i find the item ID?
    one more thing is that how would i reference this item in an javascript function.
    anyone plz help me out with this.
    thanks.

    Hi,
    Firstly, your link must include "this" to ensure that any javascript knows which link has been clicked. So, change:
    onclick="javascript:report();"to
    onclick="javascript:report(this);"Next, your javascript code must take this value and find the related DEPTNO item on the same row. The URL must pass to the popup page the name of the ID that needs to be updated - this is held in the f10 variable in the following script. This means that you popup page must be able to receive this value so that it can use it to update the DEPTNO item when a value is selected. Your popup page seems to be page number 4, so I will assume that you have a P4_ITEM_ID hidden item on that page for this purpose. So, the javascript on the main page would be something like:
    function report(x)
    var f10;
    var p = x.parentNode;
    while (p.tagName != "TR")
      p = p.parentNode;
    var inputs = p.getElementsByTagName("INPUT");
    var zz;
    for (zz = 0; zz < inputs.length; zz++)
      if (inputs[zz].name = 'f10')
       f01 = inputs[zz].id;
    var url;
    url = 'f?p=&APP_ID.:4:&APP_SESSION.::::P4_ITEM_ID:' + f10;
    var w = open(url,"winLov","Scrollbars=1,resizable=1,width=450,height=600");
    if (w.opener == null)
       w.opener = self;
    w.focus();
    }So, when the user clicks a link, the report() function is called and the object clicked is passed as a parameter. The script then starts from this object and goes up to the TR tag that the link is on. From here, it finds all INPUT items and then looks at those to find one that has a name attribute of "f10". When it finds it, it stores the ID of that in the "f10" variable. It then constructs a URL using this variable which is set into the P4_ITEM_ID hidden item on the popup page.
    I don't know what your javascript is on the popup, but it would need to get the value out of P4_ITEM_ID to see which main page item needs updating. This could be something like:
    function passBack(val)
      var id = $v('P4_ITEM_ID');
      opener.document.getElementById(id).value = val;
      window.close();
    }This script looks in the P4_ITEM_ID hidden item and gets its value - this will be the ID of the item to update on the main page. It then does the update and closes the popup.

  • Display Hint Text in Oracle Forms 6i at Text Item

    I want to show Hint text at Text Item in Oracle Forms 6i.
    when my cursor Focus goes at that item. I mean when I go with Tab key or Enter button then it show display text.
    even though my mouse is not on that item.
    please how it would be possible
    thanks.
    G.Y

    Please create a display_item(for eg. Disp_Mess) just below the text field (For eg:-MyField) where you want to show hint. And then assighn Hint text to "DISP_MESS" in NEW-FORM-INSTANCE or at Initial value. Then create a PRE-TEXT-ITEM and POST-TEXT-ITEM trigger for MyField.
    -- PRE-TEXT-ITEM trigger write following code.
    SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('DISP_MESS',VISIBLE,PROPERTY_TRUE);
    --POST-TEXT-ITEM write following code.
    SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('DISP_MESS',VISIBLE,PROPERTY_FALSE);
    It will work for you.
