Regarding Main Window Height

hi all,
I am facing probelm that
I am developing proforma invoice smartform .
how can we adjust dynamically the height of smartform.
Suppose i displayed 4 line items but height of main window is more. it need to adjust to 4 line items.
suppose i displayed 6 line items it needs to adjust 6 line items.
like that.
plz suggest solution.

Ramireddy,
In smartforms, in the main window U have to create the table and then display the line item data in the body of the table . this will solve ur problem as if the number of line item increase then the size of the table increases dynamically.....

Regarding Main Window issue

hi all,
I developed one Smartform Work Order.
My Requirement is after Completion of Main Window some texts like Terms of Payment and Penalty Clause( These we maintained in texts in PO) needs to come.
Suppose i am displaying 10 line items . after completion of 10 line items Terms of payment needs to come and next page should start from first line onwards with whatever ending in the first page. It should not start from middle(beacause we define main window from middle ) and also for every page back side terms & conditions needs to come.
How can we achieve this.

Regarding Page Back in Smartform
You cannot see it in print preview... try to check it by taking print..
Regarding printing of terms and conditions after the line items... you can create a text node after the loop node and print the terms and conditions.
It should not start from middle(beacause we define main window from middle )
I guess this would be difficult to achieve.. i would like to suggest you to trigger a new page with main window height increased not the width of the main window

Regarding main window in page2

Hi,
My requirement is i have to display basic rent header data in first page and their (Basic item details) in second page.So I am using one main window in page1 and other main window in page2.In page one am getting the main window data finely but am not getting main window in second page where i make a mistake.Please tell me.

How to limit the size of main window height according to the line items?

Hi,
In my requirement,I created one page with main window in smartforms....Suppose say main window can accomodate 40 line items.
I am getting 5 pages data.And in my last page ( ie 5'th page ) I will have only 20 line items.But for the remaing 20 line items,
it showing empty area .I dont want this empty area .I want that window size to be restricted dynamically to that 20 line items.I created widow with borders and one vertical line between the columns.....I created two columns.
Please I dont want any horizontal lines between the line items but I created one vertical line between the columns..
This is in Smartforms
Any right help would be appreciated.

                This problem is solved but I have the below another new problem.Can you pls help me in this regard.
            My requirement is to calculate the subtotal of a particular page and to print that subtotal
            at the end of each page.And this subtotal has to be carry forwarded as the first item of the next page(say page2).
            And again at the end of this page(page2) I have to print the subtotal and needs to carry forward this subtotal again on to
            the first item of the page3..
           My problem is I am doing it in a table.I am calculating the subtotal and displaying the subtotal at the footer of the table..
           In the footer again I am redefining table work area values with the text 'Subtotal' and subtotal Amount so that thinking
           that it would print as first line item on the next new page....
          But the problem is I am getting subtotal as 2'nd line item on each new page instead of first line item of each page.........
          Can anyone resolve this issue.........
          I dont want this subtotal to be printed on the last page since I am getting Total of all these subtotals.....
          Below is my required structure

Main window is not at all mandatory in SMARTFORMS, You may use it or not
SO it depends upon your data.
you can use a main window in as many pages as you want or dont use it at all.
But same data will be printed in all the pages you use MAIN WINDOW

Porblem in displaying the data in main window and footer in sapscript

Hi Friends,
I have created a 2 pages with a main window and 6 footer windows for purchase requistion printout. My requirement is footer windows should only be displayed at the last page. If i bring the footer window at the last page there is blank space in all pages after the main window since the main window size is smaill, if i increase the main window size it is overlaping footer windows at the last page.
I want the main window shouldbe big and footer should be displayed at the last page.
please hellp me to solve this.

If you want to position footer texts right after the last line of the MAIN data (thus, anywhere in the page), you define them as text nodes inside the MAIN window, and you use a template node if you wan't to position them precisely.
If you want to position footer texts relatively to the page edges (and not relatively to the MAIN), do like this (as my previous answer is wrong):
- define your footer windows in the same page of the MAIN, select condition "Only after main window" (so that the windows will be printed on the page of the last line of the MAIN data.
- If the footer windows span over the MAIN window (because you want to maximize MAIN window height on all pages except last where you put the footer, as it was the case for Gayathri), you must add a template node inside the MAIN window, as the last element. Its height must be equal to the part of MAIN that is overriden by the footer windows, so that a new page is triggered automatically if there is no sufficient space and the footer windows will be printed on next page, and if there is enough space, the footer windows will be printed at the bottom of current page.

I am developing an SAp Script form which is using five windows. Out of which third window is the main window. In the main window i am displaying details of item sold. The form prints perfectly when the number of items is with in the limit of the main window height. When it exceeds the main window height a second page with the same format of the first page is displayed with the remaining items in main window. ie 1,2,4,5 window is repeated in both pages.
I want to display all the items of the main window in the first page itsel and if it exceeds first page show the remainng items in the next page and then display 4th and 5th window. IS it posiible using SAp script. Am i to do some configuration for this?
Note: I have assigned Next page to first page itself.

I understood about display of first and second windows.
About main window and Fourth and Fifth window i still have doubt. I have given specific height to main window and after that put the fourth and fifth window with specific height in first page itself. So what happens is that When mainwindow overflows it will print up to specified height in the first page. Then prints the Fourth and Fifth window in first page. Then it goes to second window prints the remaining items in main window then again displays fourth and fifth window. Could you please find a solution for this too.

Then use a loop node to loop the table with 1 to 6 rows and under the loop node make us of a template for displaying the fixed no of rows.

Dynamic Height of Main Window in Smartform

Good day experts...
Actually this problem puzzled me since yesterday when I am developing a customized printout for PO.
Right now, we have an existing form for our PO.. The management asked me to do another PO form for the second company. Thus, there will be two layouts of PO... Since the content are just the same, I just copied the program of our existing PO and make the necessary adjustment for the new layout for our new PO. My problem now is the Main Window for the second PO...
As far as I know, only One main window is allowed in every Page. So what I did was, I created two tables (let say Table 1 and Table 2.) inside the main window. I just placed condtions on the condition tab of both tables that when user selected company A, Table 1 will be displayed. Otherwise Table 2 will be displayed if company B is selected.
Now, I have produced correct output. My only problem now is, the height of the second window which must be shorter than the first PO. I am aware that the main window's height is fixed and cant be changed dynamically.
Before I write this post, I google(search) the net to view some possible solutions. One option that it was suggested is to create another page, say Page2... On that second page, create another main window which is smaller in height.. This would be the second PO. On the main window of the first Page, insert a command line. Then, pinpoint to the second page when the condtion is true.
This technique was not successful when I tried. Since when i try to see the prinout of the PO, the first page is blank and the detail of the PO is on the second page which should NOT be.
Another possible way to solve this problem that I think is , create a separate smartform for the second company. In this case, no worry about the height of the main window. However, my problem that I forsee is, how can I implement on ME23N, to pinpoint two separate smartforms?

Hi,
As you are already using smartforms for PO printout(instead of standard form MEDRUCK) , you should have already changed the standard driver program (SAPFM06P) in a zprogram or have done your own driver program which is calling the smartform. So its so simple that you branch your different smartform call in that zprogram. Check which driver program is currently in use in tcode NACE - > Application EF ->Output Type NEU and click processing routine.
Another way is to have a copy of the secondary window and adjust size and give conditions.

Minimum height for main window

Hi
I am having a table with datas in my main window and a seperate footer(not table footer) which has to be dispalyed at the end of the page and both with borders. My problem is that when there is few data the box of main window is not touching the box of footer. It will display as 2 seperate boxes. I have tried providing minimum height to tables. But did not helped. Please suggest me a solution.

In FORM PAINTER u just join the borders of the main window and the footer.
so that i will display both joined even if the data is more aor less.

Regarding Number of MAIN Windows in SAP Script.

SAP Script allows to place a maximum of 99 MAIN Windows. Is it possible to have different content in different MAIN Windows i.e., if i have 2 MAIN Windows in SAP Script with numbers 00 and 01 can i have different contents in these two windows. If possible please give us an example for the same.

My problem is: whenever i am changing the content in MAIN 01, the content in MAIN 00 is also getting changed.
I do not want this to change, i want different content in both of them. Is this possibel if so how.

Helo All.
I want to display complete column heights in main window of a smartform.
Right now, if there is a only one line item then in Smartform, it is printing the column height only upto that line item.
But I want to print complete height in the main window.

If my understanding is correct ( U have a main window say 6 X 4 inch size, inside which u are printing a table ,here if u have only one record then , U want the smartform to have 6 X 4 box with only one line.
The purpose of main window is not print the way u had asked for and to roll over to the next page if more records are to be printed,

How can i draw vertical lines in Smartforms. I want vertical lines between columns in the main window and i want the lines from top to bottom even if i have just one record in the table data.
how can i solve this using table.

Or table tab -> ypu will see a box for table pattern - > click on select
pattern and there u will find many options to draw lines!!!
below your table, you will have the header line type.
double click to select it.
on the right pane, go to attributes
click on the top left button here (select option) ...
in the popup, click the display frame button
select your choice
activate your smart form. this should work

Even you can draw a window as vertical and specify its width as 0
.02.It will automaticall draw a vertical line of specified parameters.

Error in Smartforms a page without a main window

In Smart Form Main window is optional but check if this satisfies in your case ....
Main Window
In a main window you display text and data, which can cover several pages (flow text). As soon
as a main window is completely filled with text and data, the system continues displaying the text
in the main window of the next page. It automatically triggers the page break.
You can define only one window in a form as main window.
The main window must have the same width on each page, but can differ in height.
A page without main window must not call itself as next page, since this would trigger
an endless loop. In such a case, the system automatically terminates after three
pages.
It means if you have Next page you need to use a Main window in your smart form.
