Regarding postings

hello sap guys,
  i am bit confused regarding the posting to the accounts.
Suppose i have one semifinished material and rawmaterial.Now when i do the goods issue of raw material for semi finished material than these much amount of rawmaterial cost will be deducted from Raw material G/L account(stock account) which we can see in material master Accounting view and than where this cost gets posted? because every goods movement has two postings, right?If i am not wrong than to the  raw material consumption account.so could you plz tell me which are these accounts?
    similarly if i do the goods receipt for semifinished  material than that much amount of semifinished material cost will be posted to semifinished material account and from where it deduct that much cost?
   And one more thing could you guys plz tell me where the primary cost elements gets used?
        I know i have asked couple of questions together but they all are related to the same topics.so i thoght it was better to club them together.

You are right,
When ever you do the raw material issue, the following entries will happen,
Raw material g/l account 100 -
Production consumption account         100 +
You can see this cost in production and deducted cost in raw material g/l account. Prymery CE is used to get the G/L a/c entry in cost accounting, G/c account is required to see the data in fincial accounting
See G/l account balance report for details of G/l a/c entry

    My client is saying that when or if they save a billing document on a saturday or sunday the date will not show that date but will show the date of monday for example. They would like to include Saturday and sunday to be able to post on those days. In factory calendar all 7 days are ticked as working days so i'm not sure where to go about.

    Actually problem is with Factory Calendar not assigned to individual plants.
    If you assign the factory calendar to the individual plants then your problem might be resolved.

  • Difference between cleared items,open items and all postings (FI).

    Hi experts,
    Can anybody tell me the difference between cleared items,open items and all postings for an account.
    While running corresponding bapis and transaction FAGLL03 (for GL) or FBL1N (for accounts payable) i found that in some cases all postings is less than cleared items or open items for a time period. How could it happen.According to my knowledge all postings should contain cleared items and open items.
    Please correct me..

    Hi Arjun,
    For every Billing Documnet created(VBRK/VBRP-VBELN) there will be an accounting document created in BSID/BSAD tables.
    OPEN ITEMS means the Billed/Invoice Amounts that are pending from Customers, i.e which we have to receive from Customers.
    CLOSED ITEMS means the AMOUNTS received from that customer.
    OPEN ITEMS : fetch data from BSID table Only
    CLOSED ITEMS : fetch data from BSAD only.
    ALL POSTINGS : fetch data from both BSID and BSAD.

    how can i see the user who launched the 2kes on a specific company? Unfortunaltely the transaction has no log at all .
    Furthermore , I've tried to see the line items in GLPCA but for postings on period 0 no line items are displayed . I've found something on GLPCT , but no user is displayed there . I want to get the user who executed it last time . Is it possible to retrieve one way or another?

    try T-code ST03N. Mark the ABAP instance you are using, go to "detailed analysis/business transaction analysis" and enter the selection parameters according to your requirement.

  • Help in creation of XML file for IDOC postings

    Hi All,
    Need help if anyone has knowledge/experience in creating XML files for IDOC processing.
    We need to design an input file (in XML format) for creation of IDOCu2019s for purchase Invoices through Interface.
    We have an existing input file, which is working correctly.  We are trying to modify this existing input file for a new Tax Code (Non-deductible inverse tax liability).   This tax code is working fine for manual postings.   But, through IDOC, tax postings are not correctly triggering.
    Could you please confirm if any one has experience on this, so that I can share more details for resolving.

    you can use CALL TRANSFORMATION id, which will create a exact "print" of the ABAP data into the XML.
    If you need to change the structure of XML, you can alter your ABAP structure to match the requirements.
    Of course you can create your own XSLT but that is not that easy to describe and nobody will do that for you around here. If you would like to start with XSLT, you´d better start the search.

    No, they are not the same.  The movement type transaction (OMJJ) links the account key and account modifier to a specific movement types.  Transaction code (OBYC) contains the account assignments for all material document postings, whether they are movement type dependent or not.  Account key BSX is not movement type dependent.  Instead, BSX is dependent on the valuation class of the material, so it won't show in OMJJ.

  • Query regarding Opened/Closed GL periods

    Hello Gurus,
    ive got an issue, when using 0FIGL_C01 Cube.
    The query ive created balances on cumulative balance (as key figure) and GL account names (as hierarchy).
    Now i want to show the data of cumulative balance regarding closed periods.
    I.e. if we have current April month the balance should be 0, but all other in the past January, February, March should be displayed.
    How it is possible to do this?
    Ive tryed to create a calculated key figure, whith code something like:
    IF debit and credit == 0 then Cummulative balance=0 else Cumulative balance.
    It works fine but it shows also the postings of current period, which isnt realy closed.
    Tried to search the indicators of FI open/closed periods, but the only thing i found is S_ALR_87003642 - Open and Close Posting Periods transaction showing Company code, GL account ranges and from to period data.
    What could be the sollution for this? Should i create new DS for the mensioned TC and then to create a multicube or perhaps is a better and faster way in doing it?

    Generally speaking you have 2 options when it comes to parallel processing:
    Parallelize processes in the ABAP stack. These processes access different, non-overlaping, parts of your restult set
    in parallel. Using the BELNR could be an approach to build different, non-overlapping paackages.
    Database side parallelization. This is possible for every action that uses multiblock I/O (full table scans and index fast full scans) and for partitioned segments. For non-partitioned segments and single block I/O database side parallelization is not possible.
    So, generally speaking, you have 3 options:
    1.) parallelize in ABAP and build idependent packages
    2.) force the DB to do multiblock I/O (full table scan, index fast full scan) in parallel
    3.) partition your table and indexes.
    I think (it's just my opinion) for an ERP (not BW / BI) system
    - option 3 is not a good option for OLTP systems (several reasons). I see it very, very, very rarely or close to never in OLTP systems
    - option 2 may read (much) more data then you would need to read, although a very efficient I/O method would be used (multibock I/O)
    - option 1 requires programming in ABAP but will read exactly the data you need to read and can be controlled very well in the ABAP stack (parallel single block I/O will be used)
    In alamost all cases (that are similar to your case) i have see option 1 was used.

  • Retro Postings issue

    Hi,
    scenario:
    June Month- Payroll Run  ( RT generated) and Posting NOT done( missed).
    July Month-  Some Retro Changes done for June master data and July Payroll is Run( RT Generated) . Thereafter Posting is RUN for July and is successful.
    Question: If there is no Posting for June Month , how come the Posting document of July is coming correct ( which contains retrospective June changes). My understanding is that if the Posting for an EE is missed for a particular month( in this case June) then subsequent month postings which has this month as retroaccounted - for period- ( here June), then system will not post.
    Pls help me to understand.
    I have used the DEV environment and have used the Simulation posting of July. for May Month I have the Live posting results in RT with Document as Posted. As stated earlier there is no Posting result of June as user missed it.
    Also previous  financial periods are open and have not been closed.

    What Naik is said is right.
    Here posting of payroll results means we are showing the cost for the particular Cost center with the appropriate G/L account for the Accounting purpose only.
    If you don't run live run in the month of june, then in the month of July it will run for the retro and in the July posting two months payroll salary will come. Once you run the payroll live run means system confirm that salary credited to Employee for this maintain Bank A/c (mode of payment from IT 0009) and it won't check whether it is posted to FI or not.
    Need any clarifications revert back.

    You can do that by going to tcode ST05.
    Select the check box "QL TRACE ".
    Then Click "ACTIVATE TRACE".
    Then run your program.
    Then come back to ST05.
    Click " DEACTIVATE TRACE".
    Then click "DISPLAY TRACE".
    It will give you a thorough analysis of all your select query and other SQL statements. and inturn you will be able to find the various tables updated as well.

    Me activiated New GL. and when I am trying to post the
    document, I am getting the below error.
    The GL used 200100 is Cash A/c (40)
    Cr Eq Share Capital A/c (50)

    account is to be used for closing processes in non-leading ledgers,
    deactivate the Open Item Management indicator in the company code data
    for the G/L account.

    If you want to check POs for which GR done & IV not done, you can use MR11 Trx.
    If further Invoices are not going to happen. you can clear GR/IR value using this Trx. by posting po.

  • GL accounts with no postings are appearing in Trial Balance

    Hi Experts,
    When the Trial balance is run by selecting the below parameters in 'Trial Balance Report Selection Criteria':
    1. 'Hide Accounts with No postings'
    2. 'OB from Start of Company Activity'
    The G\L Accounts having no postings in the posting date selected and having transactions entered before this period are displayed in the Report.
    However, in the General Ledger Report with similar selection criteria, the same G\L Accounts are not displayed in the Report.
    As stated in note 1632198, the system checks for the data from the beginning of the company activity and doesn't take into account the posting dates selected in the selection criteria. It is also stated that this behavior is the current system definition.
    So, please I would like that SAP changes this behavior and I believe that it will make more sense that the system considers the specific year selected in the posting date.

    Hi,
    The system logic is different for the General Ledger and the Trial Balance. Both the reports have different reporting requirements, Trial Balance being the display of the balances and opening and closing while Trial balance being the detailed output of the transactions happening during the F.Y. selected.
    For having the zero balanced accounts not appearing in the Trial Balance, check whether selecting 'OB from start of Fiscal Year' helps you any way.

    Hi.
    The system logic is the following:
    In the master record of your one-time account, there is a field called
    'Reference account group'. The field status settings of the account
    group entered here are relevant for the one time vendor screen.
    Please note that even if the fields are changed from mandatory to
    optional if the NAME and CITY of the One Time Vendor is not filled, the
    system will still prompt the Error Message F5266.
    If you do not enter the name and city you will receive error F5266.
    The system logic here is to make sure that the name and the city being
    keyed-in properly for the Executive Information System reportings.
    Please note that it is hard-coded in the system.

    With tcode FBL3N, I need to get all the postings on expenses accounts. Additionally it is possible to get more information on the postings from the orginal paper invoice. It shall be also more convenient to get the purchase order number walk trhough SAP with it. Then is it possible to get the purchase order number for each postings with FBL3N?

    Hello,
    Could you please add field BSEG-EBELN as a special field in FBL3N (from
    menu path Settings -> Special fields).
    Then, select the Purchase order field again from "Change Layout"
    (Ctrl+F8). Now this field is available for display variants, it has the
    technical name 1-U_EBELN and the description 'Purchase Document'.
    The other field has the same description but as technical name
    '1-EBELN'. When you create a display variant be aware that you select
    1-U_EBELN and not 1-EBELN.
