you need to insert multiple dataprovider indo either several excel sheets or when no navigation ( drill down) is needed into a single one.
By help of convert to formula you can use a blank (new) sheet to reference to all data needed in your bar chart.
The BW functionality will refresh the query sheet(s) and Excel will adopt this to your bar chart.

Hi Prakash,
Favorite folder is specific to User and users can maintain shortcut of the report , which they execute frequently.
Assignment of workbook to role can be done in following way.
Choose workbook open -> Locate the workbook in the list -> Select workbook and on the top of the dialog there is option of insert into role. Role is used for user authorization , can be created using transaction code PFCG.

BW Work Book as an iView in Portal

We are on BW 3.5 and EP 6.0, using BEx Application Designer i am abel to create work book which is based on a query, i can create an iview for EP6.0 in BW System.
But how can i see this work bok in SAP Enterprise Portal.
there are fre requisites i.e establishing sso between BW and SP, setting JCO connections some 13 steps i did all these.
how we can see an iView which creted in BW,display it in EP.
is there any steps?

Report designer is used in BI 7.It is a seperate application used for formatting
the report.

Embedding 2 queries within the same tab in a work-book?

Hi Experts,
Is it possible to embedd multible queries within a single tab in a Workbook?i.e. can we define a cell range in which a particular query is to be embedded and a different cell range within the same tab for another query?

Hi,
It is very much possible.
Just insert the 2 queries at different places and save the work book.
In the properties you can so the the result of the 2 queries do not overwrite and ouput is adjusted accordingly.

I am wanting to exactly match two ID numbers from two differing worksheets within one work book. Once matched I am wanting to retrieve a row value from the second worksheet into the first. Any help much appreciated.

Once exactly matched I wish to retrieve a corresponding row value from worksheet two and have it appear in worksheet one against the correct ID number. I have been looking at IF, VLOOKUP, and MATCH functions and suspect that what I want to do requires a combination of two or more. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Data A:D is all cells start at column A thru column D.
There is built-in help using the menu item "View > Show Function Browser" in the search field (top right) you can enter vlookup and you will see the detailed description.
From this we see:
VLOOKUP
(search-for, columns-range, return-column, close-match)
search-for: The value to find. search-value can contain any value type.
columns-range: A range of cells. range is a reference to a single range of cells, which may contain values of any type.
return-column: A number that specifies the relative column number of the cell from which to return the value. return-column is a number value. The leftmost column in the range is column 1.
close-match: An optional value that determines whether an exact match is required.
close match (TRUE, 1, or omitted): If there’s no exact match, select the column with the largest top-row value that is less than the search value. Wildcards can’t be used in search-for.
exact match (FALSE or 0): If there’s no exact match, return an error. Wildcards can be used in search-for.
So... the 2,0 means return the value form the same row as the lookup value but from the 2nd column of the range. 3, 0 means from the 3rd column. the ", 0" means exact match

Error After sharing work book

Hello All,
I modifed a report by adding 2 news columns from a folder(which is based on table2). I am able to genrate the work book successfully.
So i shared the same work to another user , but while user is running the report he came across an error
saying "Invallid Comination of Joins Invloving Outer Joins - table1 -> table2 (outer) ".
How can this be possible. If there is something wrong in join conditions work book should not work for me.
It is working fine in my case but its giving error when the shared user is running. Please let me know the reasons for this.

I think your answer is in Tamir's reply. If disabling fan trap did not resolve your user's issue, then the report needs to be rewritten. Even if it did resolve your user's issue, the report needs to be rewritten.
It would be difficult for us in this forum to help you to do this.
However, things to look for: How are your folders constructed? One folder, one table? One folder, many tables as in custom folder or database view? If you are joining folders together in the report where any or all of the folders are constructed with many tables included in them, you run the danger of hitting the fantrap issue - especially, if outer joins abound. Try flowcharting your report and see what that tells you. In Discoverer Plus, choose Sheet \ Show SQL\ copy the sql and place in your favorite sql tool. I suspect the answer to your issue will become obvious then.

Adding additional Columns in Work Book

Hi Experts,
I have requirement to additional columns in work book. I have Trial balance amount .I want to create 2 more columns based on the Trial balance column.if trial balance amount is +ve value then it should go to Gross amount column .If trial balance is -ve amount then it should go to depreciation Amount Column.
How can I add new columns to the work book.please suggest me with formula.

Hi Suryam,
From what i get of ur requirement, I expect there is a column which shows Trial balance. And you are using a workbook, hence the format would be a static format and no drill downs etc. would be done in the report.
You can create a column and use an Excel formula to achieve the same.
Gross Amount Column:
IF Column Cell (of trial balance) >= 0 then value = the Column Cell (of trial balance)
Depreciation Amount Column:
IF Column Cell (of trial balance) < 0 then value = the Column Cell (of trial balance)

For the common template with the company logo-->This code basically updates the RS table rsrwbtemplate which has the default workbook template information with the templae you specify.
IF you want to insert the logo in the work book template
Menu path --> choose insert -->picture -->clip art

Hi,
Slect the only Result area (including headers of rows and columns) and click 'chart Wizard' on excel tool bar..then foloow the steps to finish the graph..depending on selection in chart wizard,you can arrange data..Preview shows how your chart looks like...
in the chartwizard,you have the option to display Graph in different sheet(you can select the sheet from dropdown box..),arranging rows and columns as required...etc

I am not sure how to do it in browser but if you have workbook id and you want to know all the queries inside it, then follow the below given procedure,
Goto table RSRWORKBOOK put your workbook id and collect all the GENUNIID's.
Now goto table RSRREPDIR and copy all the GENUNID's you will get required list of queries.

Work book Transport BEx Analyser

Hi Experts,
I have a work book which I assigned to menu roles in Dev BW and need to get it transported to BW prod system.
I normally save this work book in roles and in my customised role and collect that work book in request to transport to prod.
I have a this problem in prod when I try to open the same work book in Prod system I have error message saying serviere program error has occurred and cannot open the work book in prod system.
please advise.
Is this problem with BEx Analyser or If I transport my role again to Prod system which is customised under which work book is saved.cant solve this issue please advise.
If I want to transport the role also how can I do that from PFCG my role name is ZXX_BW_XX.
