Register with blackberry

Having problems registering my new phone with blackberry on orange, when I am on my pc I am told to put in my pin and IMEI number, which gives me the error message that this is not available on a HTML browser.
Then attempting to go on blackberry.orange.co.uk on my Curve I am given the change to manage my email accounts rather than register my phone.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Try doing this from your BlackBerry. Go to your Setup icon, or personal email setup icon.

  • How to register a blackberry with the appropriate service provider ?

    Hello,
I've just bought a Pearl 8100. I've inserted my SIM card and the phone is working ok. However I can not send or receive any email and can't access the net. When I bought it, I was told to contact my service provider (Orange - UK) to get the phone set up. That's what I did and I was directed to a web site (w3.blackberry.orange.co.uk) where you have first to register as new user by giving your PIN and IMEI. However I haven't been able to complete the task as a message popped up saying that the phone was already registered with a different service provider and that I had to re-register it with the appropriate one. I personnally never registered the phone before but basically that's what I have to do so I need some help because I have no idea how to do that... Thanks....

Thanks for any help. i'm totally stuck!!
Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
You will need to contact your carrier for assistance. Be sure that you have an adequate service plan from them to enable your access to their BIS. Be sure that they can properly register your BB into their BIS. If you obtained your BB second hand, it is quite possible that the prior owner did not release the PIN from the Orange BIS...in which case your new carrier won't be able to create a BIS account for you on their network. And, typically, only the owner of the account (at Orange) will be able to convince Orange to release the PIN from their BIS...
    Good luck!

  • How to register IMEI Number with BlackBerry

    Sir,
I want to register my new BlackBerry Mibile's IMEI Number with BlackBerry.

The IMEI number is not required for registration with Apple.  This explains registering an Apple product:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5803
If your cellular carrier might require some additional IMEI related information, contact them.

  • I got the message "Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network" from blackberry?

So I got my curve 9360 about 3 months ago and last night I got a message from blackberry saying "Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network". I don't have a data plan but after I got this message I was able to go on the internet without wifi.. I thought it was extremely weird and I was scared my carrier, Rogers, will charge me so I turned my data off. I asked my dad today and he said I could use it and we won't pay if they charge me.. I'm still really worried that I'll get a ridicous bill at the end of the month. So why did I randomly get data and will it charge me? What should I do?

I've heard through the Rogers support forums that Rogers is offering a free data trial to its users.  I haven't seen anything official yet, but I've heard that on atleast two occasions so far.
For that reason, I would go ahead and enjoy your free data while it lasts.  If you're really worried about it, call Rogers to confirm it.  Just remember, you never signed a data plan agreement with them so they can't charge you for it.
    I hope that helps you.

  • How can I find out the previous service provider my device is still registered with?

When trying to create a BIS account, I received the error message that my device was already registered with a different service provider and that I would have to reregister it. The problem is that I bought it new from cordlessphoneworld.co.uk and it was supposedly "completely refurbished".
My Pearl 8100 is a BT phone, however BT confirmed to me that it was not registered with their network. The seller,  cordlessphoneworld.co.uk, told me to contact BlackBerry support, and BB support told me to talk to my service provider (O2 UK) who has already told me I would have to get in touch with the previous service provider.
How can I get my BB released from its current BIS registration, or at least find out who it is registered with, in order to finally enjoy its full functionality and not just the regular phone stuff?
    My BB info:
    PIN: *********
    IMEI: #################
Happy for any help or ideas!!
    Thanks.

Theres a high chance it was set up with the original carrier that is was sold with.
To find this out you need to get the vendor id of the device.
Do this by holding down (all at the same time ) the ALT+CAP+H button..
    Or
Whilst pressing down ALT, select E Then S then C then R
You should see a little page pop up with random info.
What you are looking for is the vendor ID. a three digit number.
Then I will post a list of all the vendors IDS at the end of this message as i can't remember the link..
Anyhow, find the carrier from the list and call them asking them to release the PIN..
IF... the prev user didn't register it with that carrier (which would mean you phone has possibly been used twice before) then you can call your current Carrier and ask them to escalate the call to RIM who will be able to tell...
    Hope this helps..

  • Failure to registered in blackberry network

    Hi,
I have a Q10 SQN-3 and use Korean KT 3G network with data plan.
Today i restore the device system with blackberry link. Now the device OS is 10.2.0.1767.
Here is how i try to register to blackberry network for BIS and BBM:
Setting -> About -> three dots (right below) -> register blackberry
Now the problem came like this:
    When i insert sim card
    3G open, Wifi close -> can't register
    3G close, Wifi open -> can't register
    3G open, Wifi open -> can't register
When i take out the sim card
    Wifi open -> can't register
Wifi open, VPN open (USA IP address) -> CAN register and BBM working
Could you tell me how this happen and how to solve?
I want to use bb service under 3G and wifi. Without register in the blackberry network, i can''t use.
    Thanks!

Likely because you don't have the correct data plan provisioned to your account.

  • Voice call enabled but not able to register with BB Services

    Hi,
One of my friend gifted me Blackberry verizon 9630. I subscribed vodafone bb services Rs.599 plan. Vodafone said BB services activated on 20th May 2011. From that date i tried to configure the same, But in vain. The following methods i tried, Host routing table ->Register->registration message sent->then i pulled out the battery and SIM card and again i repeated. Till date i did it nearly 100 times. subsequently i spoke to vodafone chennai. No proper response from them. I can make a call and receive . Also i can send and receive SMS. But Data Services i can't .
Please give me your suggestion to rectify my device.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you will need to talk to Vodafone again...unfortunately, bringing a BB onto a carrier network that does not natively support it can be tricky indeed.
    Good luck!

  • Register with BES server without Enterprise data plan

I read on this forum that there is a few ways to register with your company's BES even if you have the standard 29.99 data plan. The limitation is that you have to be connected to your company's lan, and perform the registration while on the lan.
In order to register remotely, you must purchase the 44.99 enterprise data plan, which I do not want to do.
Both verizon support and my helpdesk is telling me they can't do it, but I found instructions on this. Can it be done? Am I missing something?
    http://support.opt3.com/KB/a45/activate-blackberry-using-blackberry-enterprise-server.aspx

    Hi,
To answer your question, it can not be done unless you have the BES plan added to your account, which is currently $44.99/month.  If I read the article you mentioned in your post correctly, it states the following:
Note: BlackBerry smartphones cannot be activated over the wireless network or the organization's Wi-Fi® network if they have a data plan for BlackBerry Internet Service only.
I read that as if you have a Blackberry that is currently on a data plan (BIS), the regular individual data plan, you can not activate your device.  Hope this helps,

  • Registering with BIS from my Service Provider

    Hi,
I have just bought a brand new unlocked 8900 Curve and it is working fine (the seal of the box was cut in front of me).  I just dont seem to be able to register the phone with the BIS relating to my service provider.
My provider is Optimus in Portugal (http://optimus.blackberry.com/).  When i type in the PIN and IMEI it gives an error message saying: "This BlackBerry is registered with a different service provider.  Please re-register this BlackBerry and verify the URL matches the one provided by your service provider."
I noticed that inside the box where the phone came in, there was a sticker with a link to what I assume is the BIS link address for the service provider that this phone probably belonged to: KPN - www.kpn.blackberry.com
I also tried to register the phone at this link but it gives the same message......
Can you please let me know what is wrong?
By the way, I still dont have a data plan activated with my Service Provider, Optimus......I have ordered it but its still not up and running.
Do i need this first before i can register my phone at the Optimus BIS?
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Until your BIS plan, your BlackBerry Data Plan, is in service, you will not be able to register the device on your carrier network except for voice and text messaging.
KPN is a Netherlands mobile service provider.
Where did you buy the device, not from your Portuguese carrier? How do you know it is unlocked?

Any chance you can be a little bit more specific? What exactly do you attempt? What exactly happens when you attempt it? Are any error messages presented? If so, what is the exact and complete content of them?
    BeeApple wrote:

I have no clue what that means ("sot"???), and of course cannot interpret "etc", so I risk redundancy. Nevertheless...
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT

KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your configurations for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
    Good luck!
