Rejected Project Gone

I am not sure what happened but my Library>Rejected Smart Project/Album is gone missing. Its just gone. Any idea how I can get it back?
I already tried delete preferences etc. Nothing seems to help. I just created another smart album to collect all rejected images in the mean time.

  • IDVD crashed folder with movie and project gone/invisible

I just created a movie with iMovie 6 and had it saved on an external Firewire drive, then I exported to iDVD 8, again saving the project to the externa drive and same folder, then as I was adding media to the menus iDVD suddenly quit. I navigated to the external drive in the finder, and the folder is gone!
When trying to open/save a project from iMovie or iDVD, the folder name shows up with a blank rectangle icon, but there's no directory.
Any ideas on how I can restore the folder?

Disk Utility and Repair Disk restored the folder and all it's content - from now on, I'll put my iDVD projects in a separate folder!

  • Where oh where have my projects gone?

I am new to FCPX.  Started with a few projects to test it out, imported footage from external hard drives... Started working.  The next thing I knew I was putting together a video for work and after ejecting my hard drive and taking it with me... FCPX is a blank canvas again.  It's like I'm launching it for the first time.
I never purposefully set up capture scratch or project file save locations, but just started editing. I ejected the drives and now nada.
I can't seem to find any of my workflow, the sequences or anything.  It prompted me to reimport media which I did on a few pieces of content thinking it might reconnect my project files, but alas... it did not work out.
Any help reconnecting would be much appreciated.

I guess that's just it... I just opened FCP and all my projects were gone.
I had no problems opening/closing/opening when the portable drive was connected.  The issue came when I ejected the drive to take ot the office... when I came back, plugged it back in and opened FCPX, all the media was gone, the projects, events were not there.
It was like opening FCPX for the first time.  Thanks it... I'm used to working with FCP7 so I can't say I'm really 'versed' in the file architecture on this software.  I'm really confused about how simple it claims to be but yet this seems like the most 'simple issue that should not go this terribly wrong.
I had at least 4 sequences totally done... all my editing, transitions, music, audio in/out/fade... all gone.
Do you know how I can reimport the project files to match up with the media which I have?

  • IMovie - All Projects Gone?

I have just opened my Imovie and all my projects are gone. This has never happened before. I was using it earlier, quit it like I normally do, then got it up again and everything is gone.
A really important project I was working on is gone too... I don't know why?
    Help!
(I have done the User->Account->Library->Preferences>com.apple.Imovie thing and movied it out of preferences but this didn't work!)

I've been on the phone to apple three times today, for a total of about six hours. We've restarted, booted in safe mode, run disk repairs/ verify disk twice, deleted and reinstalled iMovie - all to no avail. One of the higher members of the tech team has emailed me Captuer Data but can't contact me till Tuesday. With Capture Data I created one file without, and one file whilst running iMovie.
I'm absolutely clueless about what has happened.

  • Closed FCP X 10.1.4 and PROJECT GONE!

I spent all day working on a project and closed out Final Cut. However, when I opened the event where project is, it only shows event clip. When I use option to see all clips in that event, it's showing my project as "NO DATA." There was almost 12 minutes of completed footage, including voiceovers. I can see voiceover clips, background music clips and videos, but no edited project. The title of the project is called "Kingston Edition." Here it's showing you "NO DATA." Note the yellow triangle with the exclamation mark next to the event. No bueno....
When I use the finder to search for the project in the FINAL CUT BACKUPS folder, I see the events folder being used with my project "Jamaica August 2014". I'm assuming this folder (Jamaica August 2014 is the event folder) is where the latest backup is as it's the folder with the oldest time stamp.
However, when I open that folder this is what I see. ORIGINAL MEDIA folder, contents are empty. The ANALYSIS FILES folder has an empty folder marked STABILIZATION as I did apply that function to the clip. The KINGSTON EDITION has a CurrentVersion.fcpevent within.
Should I take my iMAC to the APPLE store to get assistance or can someone help me? My deadline is looming and is next week. I simply cannot redo EVERYTING! Can someone offer me assistance? I'm working on an iMAC with all clips being saved to my iMAC. Thanks a bunch!

Anytime I start a new project, I go to the toolbar at the very top and do NEW-> Project. This was no different. It produced the empty space in the timeline for me to begin editing the project. I was relieved to almost be done with it. Then this happened. This is what I see on LIST VIEW. Mind you, the only clips that are visible on date I was working on the project, December 9th, are the voiceover clips, background music and still shots. There is nothing in list view showing for 12 minutes. KINGSTON EDITION is showing with 0 duration. My project has gone to Project heaven... lawddd..... As the Tom Wolsky noted, the project doesn't even have a date, yet I can see the folders when I use Finder and "Show Contents"....

  • IMovie Projects Gone?

All of my IMovie Projects dissapeared in IMovie, but when I searched for them in Finder they would be in an IMovie Original Projects file. I tried opening them, but they won't open.

  • Where has my recent changes to my project gone?

I have been editing a project for a year and a half now, and recently I ran out of memory on my macbook. So it was suggested that I move everything over to my external hard drive and delete everything off of the macbook so i had memory and could update my computer. Once I went onto iMovie, after the update, I found that my project has only got the changes from December meaning I have lost 7 months of work. I have looked all through iMovie and my external hard drive and cannot find any updated copies. Anyone know how I can retrieve my recent work?

    Hi Pete,
I would like to inform you that this issue is a general Windows issue. Not related to Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader. You can search on other technical forums that provide troubleshooting steps for Windows.

  • IMovie 11 / iDVD movie project gone!

First of all, I had problems, preparing my 83.4 mb movie for iDVD.  I have a file, (Movie)DVD.dvdproj that it rendered, but there is no movie on iDVD.  Additionally, I saved my copy of the movie file from imovie foldr to an external hardrive.  Then the project disappeared.  I have worked months on this.  I have files that look like the original finished project, including one that I have that looks like the it must be the original (film).rcproject.  It's the right file size, but it will not show up in my iMovie project library, nothing will work, and I can't get the iDVD to work.
Okay, any help on this is appreciated. I have worked on this since July!  I thought I had everything saved right.  I even tied the plist trash trick, which i have done before.
I am completely lost and need help.

A second question but less important at the moment is all my old miniDV tapes - should i use iMovie 6 for these?
I have used every iMovie from 02 to 11.
I have found that whenever I want to make a DVD is best to use iMovie 06 or Final Cut express.
There is a reduction in quality of the image between iMovie 06 and iMovie 08 through 11.
The difference is the single field processing used by iMovie 11 (for faster editing) and the fact that it throws out every other horizontal line.
Final Cut Express and Adobe Premiere Elements 9 will give full quality but are more complicated to use.
In my opinion iMovie 06 with iDVD 09 or iDVD 11 is way to go.
Your workflow is editing DV clips and making DVDs, iMovie '06 is better suited. Your movie will arrive at iDVD in DV format, which is an ideal match for making a DVD: same resolution, same pixels, aspect ratio, and original quality.
iMovie 06 and iDVD 09/11 is a 100% "lossless" combination and my DVD's look like they came from Hollywood!
    Ziatron,
Are your comments above related ONLY to dv content?
Is iMovie '11 'harmful' to AVCHD content also?
The wedding was shot in 50i (PAL). But the camera can also shoot 25p. For future reference is there an advantage of one over the other?
    Thanks

  • Please Help! Project Gone!!

  • FCE crashed. Project gone!

Spent 22 hours on a project and regularly saved. Added a M4p sound file and when I tried to render an information bar flashed up and I couldn't get rid of it. Had no option but to force quit. Now my project has vanished. Please help.....

Before you start editing again, make sure you convert any non-standard audio or video files PRIOR to importing them into FCE.  .m4p is not a format that works with FCE or FCP.  Convert audio files to AIFF format at 48khz, 16 bit.

  • Project gone haywire...

I have no idea what happened to trigger this, but one time opening up a project in iDVD, it just started displaying a blank screen. I could see my data was still there in tree view, but I couldn't view any of the elements.
I tried creating a new project, still nothing but black. Deleting prefs didn't help. I reinstalled the program, no help, remembered to upgrade and.... new projects finally work again! However, my old project now displays the iDVD logo in the main display screen, and nothing else. I can still see all my data in tree view, so I know it's there.. should I just give up on this project, or is there any way of salvaging it?
    Thanks,
    Eric

When it autosplits the projects (e.g. holiday 1, holiday 2 etc) they don't appear in order on the sidebar and just jumble amongst the others.
Have you set the library to keep the events and albums arranged by date or name?
    Use the Actions menu:
You can set  that for each folder individually by ctrl-clicking the folder.

  • Video project gone

I think I really screwed up. I was recording a Halloween show directly into FCP, plugged into AC power.
I disconnected the AC and got a prompt to the order of "some frames were dropped," and the entire hour I'd been capturing is gone.
Is it hiding somewhere, or since I didn't save it before disconnecting the power am I just plain SOL?

    OUCH.
The bright side of this is that you'll never do that again. direct to FCP, while a potential timesaver, is full of all sorts of dangers like this one. Direct capture if you think you really have to, but always roll some sort of backup.
