    Hi
Bank gtee, Performance gtee and Letter of Credit - all three are statistical postings just like contingent assets or liabilities. It should be excluded from the Financial statement version.
These needs to be entered in the below transaction codes:
F-55 - Vendor statistical posting entry
F-56 - Vendor statistical posting entry reversal
F-38 - Customer statistical posting entry
F-19 - Customer statistical posting entry reversal.
    1) For entering this, you need to create a special G/L indicator like bank gtee recd or given, letter of credit recd or given and perf gtee recd or given for customer and vendor in FBKP transaction code.
For creating the special G/L indicator, you need to create recon accounts for these entries in FS00.
    2) You need to create an offsetting account and provide open item management ticked and post automatically ticked in FS00 tcode.
Enter the entry in the above transaction codes.
In case of reversal entries, in the G/L account column, enter the alternative recon account which you provided in the special G/L indicator, enter customer/vendor number and document number and click edit line items. Set the line item to active, but selecting "+" from the F4 option and click post. This will reverse the document you have made.
Hope it will help you lot

    Dear AM,
When i create a query on an info cube,,and when its executed..it instantaneously generates a sequence of SELECT statements which fetch data from the Data Targets..Also for each navigation step in ur query...it generates another set of SELECT statements which fetches the required information..
So the backend retrieval is Generation of SELECT Statements for fetching the infoemation..
The Basic purpose of Cube is
    1. It doesnt over write records.
    2. It store Aggregated Data or Consolidated Data.(Key Figures are set Summaton, Maximum, and Minimun..)
    3. It is a Multi Dimensional Data Model.

  • Problem related to bank chains?

    Hi,
I want to know why do we require House Bank Bank chains and Bank to Bank transfer Bank Chains. Once we have configured them then how to use them as I have tried with Bank to bank tranfer but it is not showing the message for Bank Chains.
Secondly, Bank Chains are only for the Bank to Bank transfers (Please write in detail)
Thirdly, if we configure the bank Chains does the payment has to be go through the intermediary banks but do that require any mapping with the bank if yes then what and how,
    thanks in advance
    Regards
    Nitin

    Hi
Mainly bank chaing used for ACH/Transfers only
Activate bank chain  det 03 in bank chain config,
Bank chain is mainly used for foreign payments through an intermiediary bank (i.e,3rd party bank)
    T code FIBB
    1. In bank chain --- give ntermediary bank details, say HSBC Bank (3rd party bank)
    2. In Assign -
    give sender/Receipitent bank details.
    1. XK01-Payment transation-give bank details (it is called Receipient bank)
    2. FI12---Create House bank---(it is called Sender bank)
    T code FIBPU
    1. give vendor details and execute
    Then now post FB60, F110
Then check in SE11 - REGUH
    Then SE38-RFFOEDI1display
    Confi in FBZP
    1. payment methd in country- select Bank details check box,  Payment methd program RFFOEDI1
2.Payment methd in comp code-- Select check boxes: Foreign business partner allowed, Foreign currency allowed, Customer/Vendor bank abroad allowed?
once you run payment f110, Idocs you should notice segment E1IDBI@ which should contain correspondent bank details.

  • House banks - Regarding

    Hi FI gurus,
Could anyone plz tell me Atmost howmany house banks can be configured.

    Hi Navajeevan,
A house bank in SAP is the representative of the bank with which the organisation does business. Each house bank in a company code is represented in the SAP R/3 System by a bank ID and each account maintained with a house bank is represented by an account ID. There is no limit on the number of house bank you configure but it is suggested that you keep it to minimum. You use the bank ID and the account ID in the SAP R/3 System to enter bank details. These entries are used to determine the bank details for a particular payment for automatic payment transactions, for example.
Standard Configuration:Some house banks are delivered in the standard system as examples to show you how the payment program works.
To enter the settings for your house bank, choose:
    Master data->House banks.
Enter the Company code for your house bank.
Via Goto-> House banks, you can call up a list of all house banks in the selected company code.
Via Goto->Bank accounts, you can view a list of all bank accounts in the specified company code.
Double-click on an entry in one of the lists to reach the input screen of the related house bank or bank account.
If you wish to create a new bank in the current company code, choose:
Edit->Create bank.Enter the house bank and the bank country, and confirm your entries by pressing ENTER .This takes you to the initial screen for house bank data. Here, you can also enter data for data medium exchange, bank accounts and related bank accounts.
    Save your entries.
If you wish to create a new bank account in the current company code, choose: Edit->Create account. Enter the House bank, the Account ID and a Text for the account and confirm your entries by pressing ENTER .This takes you to the initial screen for bank account data.Save your entries.
You can automatically assign house banks to transactions via standing instructions.
Hope I had been able to help you out. Please assign points.

  • FI12 (house bank) problem

    Dear Experts,
In FI12, on each house banks, there was one g/l account. Is there any relationship between gl account in FI12 and Account in customer and vendor? From which t code in vendor and customer area in SAP that I could find the same GL account? If I would like to change the GL account in FI12, what is the affect?Kindly advice. Thank you in advance.

    Dear Puri,
I didn't under stand your question. But  i am giving the brief scenario on House Banks.
House banks: Banks of your client will do the day to day business trasactions by using these House Banks. In FI12, we have to maintain Account ID and the Main Bank GL number of the related House Bank  (If you use BRS Concept -  you have to maintain different GL's for the same HB like Incoming Cheques, Outgoing cheques etc...)
Prerequisites: You have to create Banks master first for this House Banks in FI01. (here you have to mainatin Bank country, Bank key and address details of the Bank)
After this in FBZP under Bank determination you have to maintain the Outgoing Cheques GL number in Bank accounts tab ( if you use BRS Concept and Different GL's for same House Bank). By using this assignment this Outgoing cheque GL will be updated automatically in F-58,F110 and FF67. But for F-53 yuo have to enter manually.
In normal F-28 transactions you have to enter Incoiming cheques receipt GL account manually. Whenever you are making confinguration of BRS, you have to maintain all the different HB GL's under in assign accounts for account symbols, basing on this your Incoming Cheques receipt GL will be updated automatically when you use FF68.
Like this it will be worked.
I think this will be useful for your clarification.
    Regards,
    Dharma Rao. Yekula.

  • Workflow for Bank Communication Management

    Hi ,
I need to find out any SAP workflows are responsible for the below activities in Bank communication management .
spro-Financial Supply Chain Management- > Bank Communication Management -> Release Strategy -> Change and Release ->
Assign Role to Release Steps  , Here i am assigning rule - 96000144 against Rel Obj  BNK_INI .
In pfac for rule 96000144 , i am assigning responsibilities where i am maintaining Agents ( User IDs ) .
The rule IDs  specific to amount limits are maintained in SPRO under Financial Supply Chain Management- > Bank Communication Management ->  Payment Grouping
When in t code bnk_moni , for Bat No , the approver list has to be displayed .
If anyone has any idea on Workflow related to Bank Communication Management , suggestion will be highly appreciated .
    Regards
    Prabhudutta

Please check OSS 1041016, it contains documentation on BCM WF setup.
Rememeber that release WF is needed only if you have more than one release step - first release step is always done via BNK_APP, at the moment it's hardcoded in BCM (if you have all the latest patches).

  • House Bank Configuration/ Assignment

    Hi All ,
I need information on House Bank Configuration/ Assignment with respect to business area. Its very urgent.....
    regards
    PSNG

Bank that your company used for banking purposes.
It is also the first step for configuring your Account Payable Modules.
    FI12 - Configure House Bank
    House Banks
First Step: We first create House Banks. These are the banks for
your clients. Your client uses these for its banking transactions. One House Bank can have multiple bank accounts assigned
    to it.
During the implementation one can try to rationalize both, the Banks and the Accounts.
    A House Bank has
a Unique Bank Key. Bank Keys differ by each country's norms. The US Bank Key is called ABA (American Banking Association)
number. Normally each House Bank can have its own Company Code. In some cases, where the Banks use a different ABA key for
paper Transactions and a different one for Electronic Transactions, you Create Two House Banks instead of one for One
Physical Bank. Also, Two Bank Accounts will be created for a Single GL Account.
    T-Code: FI12
    Menu Path:
Financial Accounting > General Ledger Accounting > Bank-Related Accounting > Bank Accounts > Define House Banks
    Config
    Steps:
A House Bank is tied to a Company Code and each Bank Account is tied to a House Bank. So first we Select the
Company Code for which the House Bank is to be created.
The Create Bank icon is clicked and it brings up a pop up for
House Bank Identifier and House Bank Country. House Bank ID is a number decided by you. You can specify a number based on
    your numbering conventions.
The Next screen requires entry of the Bank Key - the ABA number is the House Bank country
selected was US. On this screen you also enter the House Bank Address data as well Control Data - comprising of SWIFT COde,
    Bank Group and Bank Number.
Once the House Bank data has been entered and filled up, you click on Bank Accounts and
you are taken to the screen to configure the Bank Accounts. On the Next screen click on the "Create Acct" icon.
    A pop
up comes up where you enter the House Bank Identifier in your system as well as the Bank Account identifier in your system
along with a text description. Once this is done, we get to the main screen where we enter the following
    data:
Bank Account: The Bank Account given BY the Bank.
Altern. Acct No.: This field is used when two
accounts at the same bank use the same account number. This situation may arise when the bank manages the accounts in two
different currencies. This field has a different number than the Bank Account field.
    Currency: This is the
currency in which the account is managed.
Control Key: For US Banks, this is used to identify whether the account
is a Checking or Savings account. The key is 01 for Checking and 02 for Savings. The Default value is checking account if
    nothing is specified.
GL Account: Each Bank Account is assigned to a GL Account Number. The Bank Account updates
    the GL Account entered here.
Discount Account: If the company uses the Bill of Exchange facility then we enter the
Cash Discount Account for Credit Memo Postings that this Bank Account should update.
    Bank Account
    Structure
It is important to have the right structure for Bank Accounts, GL Accounts and the Clearing
    Accounts.
It is important to know how much of:
    Confirmed Cash,
    Floating Cash out, and
    Floating Cash
    in
is available for the company on a particular day.
There should be Only One Confirmed Cash GL Account with many
Bank Clearing Accounts. So, the Checks Outgoing Clearing, Wire Outgoing, ACH Out, and Deposits clearing need to be set up
for each Bank Account. It is also important to leave room for additional clearing accounts that may be needed in future.
For this, we may have a range of 10 GL Accounts for each Bank Account. The numbering, for example, can have the GL Account
ending with 0 for each Confirmed Cash Balance (eg: 110000); each deposit clearing account will end up with a 1 (110001); each
outgoing check clearing account will end with a 2. each outgoing ACH account will end with a 3 and each outgoing wire
account may end up with a 4.
Check Lots and Void Reason Codes
The final step in configuring of the AP Bank
Account is to assign it to a check lot.
    Check Lots
If the company has a MICR printer then a blank
check lot can be used for Payables. The check lot determines the check number that is used on payments.
    The first
step is to bring up the "Check Lots" screen.
    T-code: FCHI
    Menu Path: Financial Accounting >
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business transactions > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment media > Check
Management > Define Number Ranges for Checks
On the main screen you need to fill up Company Code, House Bank number,
and the Account ID for which the checks are being created (?)
After saving the information click on "Change Status"
icon. This takes you to "Maintain Check Lots" screen. Most of the information will come filled up. You can enter the From
    and To check Numbers.
To create a new check lot and assign it to the account, you can click on the "Create" icon. In
the pop up enter the Lot number identifier and he range of the check numbers and also the next lot number if
    needed.
    Void Reason Codes
In SAP, it is not possible to void a check without a valid reason code. We
can have any number of Void Reason codes. There should be at least one Void reason Code configured in the
    system.
    T-code: FCHV
Menu Path: Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business
Transactions > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment media > Check Management > Define Void Reason Codes.
    Three Void
reason Codes come pre-configured - 1, 2, and 3. They deal with the problems encountered with the printers. There are
indicators to be assigned which define whether the Reason Code is due to Manual or Print program. Any codes created by the
    users are only assigned Manual.
    Payment Program Configuration
This step determines how to process
the payment transactions in the system.
The Payment Program is a series of steps within one Program.
    The
configuration occurs in table T042 and other variations of table T042 that end in a letter.
    T-Code:
    FBZP
Menu Path: Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business Transactions > Outgoing
Payments > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment Method/Bank Selection > Configure Payment Program

  • Bank Account Number length

    Hi All,
I need to update a bank account number in transaction FI12. Reducing the number of digits from 11 to 10 digits, but every time I do it I got the error message:
Bank account number or bank number are not of valid length - AR212.
I already made some tests in transaction OY17 changing some country specific  checks, but I still get the same error message.
Does anybody has an idea what the problem can be?
I already delete the bank account and try to recreate it, also did the same creating a new house bank, but also get the same error message.
Thank you so much for any help.
    Amarildo Rapaci
    Sealed Air Corp

If the issue is related to "bank account number" length, you should change the "bank account number" length in OY17 as per your requirement.  You mentioned in your previous replies that you tried changing the "bank number" length in OY17, which will not help.
You are correct; post bank acct no. is in some European countries (Switzerland, for example), so changing that will not help MX.

  • Bank Reconciliation Statement (BRS)

    Hi Experts,
I have a scenario which is purely related to bank reconciliation. Customer has a bank account with HDFC and as on 31st March 2008 the bank book balance was Rs.10,000/- in customers books of account.
At the end of March 2008 customer had made couple of transactions. They are
    28th March 2008 Outgoing Payment to vendor A Rs.1000/-
29th March 2008 Outgoing Payment to building owner B Rs.500/-
After considering the above two payments customer bank book balance in customer books of account was Rs.10,000/-
HDFC bank balance as per bank book is Rs.11500/- as on 31st March 2008, because the said two cheques were not cleared in bank as on 31st March 2008.
Now, customer moved from legacy accounting packge to SAP B1, can anyone suggest me how do I consider the above transactions in SAP B1 for bank reconciliation purpose.
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards
    N.Narayana Swamy

    Hello Narayana,
I think you should consider the Customer Books of Account Balances as of 31st March 2008 because BRS is just prepared to know the reasons for differences in Cash Book & Pass Book.
    Example -
As on year end, the customer has bank balance of Rs.1000 but bank had debited his account for service charges for the year on 31st march. In this case, the customer comes to about this charges in April & has to pass respective entries in his books.
So, the basic purpose of BRS is pass or reverse the accounting entries in our books according to Bank statement which is found by preparing BRS
In your case, your customer should pass the entries and consider the effective balance for SAP B1
    Regards,
    Abhishek
