Hello Omkar,
There is no specific relation between EDI and SAP MM. SAP MM module is for your internal data while Industry EDI is communication media.
E.g.
If you create a PO in your system , it is related to your MM part while information with regards to craeted PO is supplied to vendor by EDI _ Electronic data interchange.

The Scenario of the issue is as below.
SAP Licenses held by the company is -- numbers.
And the employee records including PD(appraisal),PA & OM exceeds the allowed records numbers.
Qn1 Whats the realtion between SAP license and records ?
Qn2 How to go about in this scenario?
Qn3. Should i prioritise the existance of records in appraisals and delete the least priority after consulting the client?anyway OM & PA records should not be deleted.
Please throw some light on the issue.

Hi Abhilash,
As rightly said by Suresh Licence has nothing to do with Records/Employees. Licences are meant for the users who maintain these records in SAP.
You can have 1000 employees with those many records but can have 1 licence for the user who maintains it.

am I right when I say you want to migrate an existing java application (which kind of java application???)
The SAP netweaver Java application server is "just" an application server like others (e.g. JBoss) so that you can deploy your applications there too. In most cases.
Or what do you mean when you say you want to upgrade an application from Java to SAP?

ALE is a means of migrating DATA between SAP systems. You configure logical destinations, establish some migrating criteria and the system takes care of getting your data from point A to point B.
EDI ->
EDI is described as the interchange of structured data according to agreed message standards between computer systems, by electronic means. Structured data equates to a simple and direct method of presenting the data content of a document. The method of ensuring the correct interpretation of the information by the computer system is defined by the EDI standard."
EDI is a technique used to communicate business transactions between computer systems of different companies and organizations. Note that sometimes the EDI mechanism deployed at a company is often used to interface to other systems within the same organization."

Relation between sapstartsrv and saphostexec

I am trying to implement note 1826767 which says:
Resolution
Configure https for the sapstartsrv process. The necessary steps are described in the chapter 'Configuring HTTPS for the SAP Host Agent' in the SAP HANA Automated update guide.
My question is what is the relation between sapstartsrv and saphostexec here, i.e. why configuring HTTPS saphostexec is equivalent to configuring HTTPS for sapstartsrv? sapstartsrv and saphostexec are 2 different executables.

In newer versions of SAP, SAPHostExec
saphostexec is an executable that runs under root (UNIX) or the Local System Account (Microsoft Windows). It controls all of the functions for which a special user of this type are required, such as the operating system collector saposcol and sapacosprep. It is connected to sapstartsrv in host mode using a local socket, which ensures quick and secure communication and is also started during the startup of the host.

When you check the status of saphostexec using the command
/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saphostexec -status
You will see below processes
saphostexec running (pid = 4729)
sapstartsrv running (pid = 4732)
saposcol running (pid = 0)
I guess the relation is clear for you.

We have created ALE (we are on EPH4) data from Core to e-rec system, I am able to see the relation between CP and S in in HRP558, but the realtion B008 is not getting created in HRP1001.

If you look in transaction we02 on the e-recruiting side and find the idoc you just sent over from ecc, what's the idoc status of it? Do you see any error messages for any particular segments? Basically this should help explain to you why SAP failed to insert any of the idoc segments into the e-recruiting database.
Does the CP or BP actually exist in e-recruiting, by the way? You could tell this by looking at transaction BP, or even transaction PP01 in e-recruiting. I'm just trying to get a sense of what the current situation is.

Relation between GDM and dtlogin ?

Hi !
I'm wondering what is the exact relation between gdm and dt ? I assume that on a fresh (vanilla) install of Solaris 10 (x86 and Sparc, as I've tried both) the only reference to a graphical login is /etc/init.d/dtlogin. How then is gdm invoked ? The login invite seems to be a gdm one.
I've tried modifying gdm.conf (manually and with gdmsetup) without seeing any modifs taking effect, even after a reboot the following day.
What am I missing badly ? :)
On a side-note, I'm trying to setup XDMCP so that other boxen will be able to graphically login onto that Sun box.

VBUK contains header status where as VBUP contains individual item status of the header. Similar to VBAK and ABAP where VBAK contains Sales Document header data and VBAP contains Sales document item data.

What is the budget?
Budget is the estimation cost to the reppective project and within the budget the project to be completed.
What is PR?
PR means purchase requisition for requirement of procurment material and the PR qty & Value is the commitment cost to the respective project.
Now, PO created in SAP against PR and SAVEd. After geting PO approval and then GRN made against PO. The GRN (Material document) cost is actual cost of the respective project.
So, we procure material within the budget value only and if procurment cost excess the budget value the SAP system is not allow to procure the material for the respective project.
If budget excess and material require, in this scenario we have amendment the respective project budget and get it approval then only we can procure material to the project.

i want to get belnr from bkpf.i found relation between vbrk and belnr.but in vbrk table belnr's value is initial.
can anybody tell me that how should i relate vbrk and bkpf or how to get Accounting Document Number(belnr) from bkpf for Billing Document(vbeln).
