Relationship between 'business transactions', SAP LUW, and tRFCs?

Here's what (I think I know:
- A 'business transaction' is a set of (dialog) steps that have the same 'transaction ID.' I can see the steps of a business transaction in STAD or STATTRACE.
- An SAP LUW is a set of steps that are a single unit of work.
- Function calls started with a tRFC are started in a new SAP LUW.
The questions are:
- Does an SAP LUW correspond 1:1 to a business transaction?
- If so, then tRFC spawns sub-transactions. Is there a way (using STAD or STATTRACE) to see, the parent-child transaction relationship? To see which transactions spawned which sub-transactions?
Thanks.

  • Difference between Business Analyst SAP SD and SAP SD consultant

    Hi friends
I need openion about what is difference between Business Analyst SAP SD and SAP SD consultant.
    Raj

Both the roles are more likely the same, In consulting companies like IBM, Deloitte , TCS and others SAP functional anlayst is a more popular term but if you work directly with a SAP client - SAP Business Analyst is what they refer to a functional anlayst. Most of the responsibilities are same but they are some roles which require more of ANALYST person who can gather requirements, GAP Analysis, IS - TO BE and etc and less of configuration or customization in SAP therefore they sometimes call it SAP Business Analyst but in both cases the configuration knowledge and experience about specific modules is required.

  • Relationship Between ECC Customers (Contact Persons) and CRM BP

    Hello,
I am new to middleware and need some help with the relationship between ECC customers/contact persons and CRM business partners.
We are transferring via bdoc this information from ECC to CRM.
Which bdoc types are used when transferring customers/contact persons? I believe it is BUPA_MAIN but am not too sure. How is the relationship between customer its contact person transferred? Is this done through BUPA_REL? I looked at the segment fields in SBDM but am not too sure how to understand the relationship...
    Thanks for the help!
    Regards,
    Tiffanie

Thanks! With the initial load, how do I check what fields are being passed in the bdocs?
I tried to look for customer_main, customer_rel in SBDM  and couldn't find it. Instead I used BUPA_MAIN and found some segments but couldn't find all the data that was being transferred (e.g. customer name, address, etc...) Where do I find all the fields contained in the bdoc?
I see them in SMW01 when I view the bdoc contents but can not find the actual structure (data fields) that are being brought in from ECC.
    Thanks!

  • Difference between business process, sales process and order process

what is the difference between business process, sales process and order process?

    Dear Gopala,
business process is a general definition of the process which you have:
for example, you get an order, you have no goods, but you can produce them, you start an assambly processing, the production order will be created, then the goods will be prepatred, then the delivery will be created, the goods issue booked then your customer gets thwe goods and send the delivery confirmation, you create an invoice etc.etc.
sales process is a part of  a business process.
Sales process shows how you sell the goods, there are different sales document  categories to do this: sales orders, contracts, scheduling agreements etc.
order process is only one of possibilities of the sales process.
Order process is used if you get really a one-time (or at lease not on a regular basis many times) the simple orders where your customer says what goods he would like to receive and when. Then you create a sales order (in dialog transaction VA01) and can create a delivery. There are different types of sales orders in the standard. The customizing of sales order types is available under the transaction VOV8.
I hope, this info help you a little bit further to understand SD design.
    Kind regards,

  • Business Object, SAP BW and SAP Enterprise Portal

    Hello all,
I've a few questions about the possibility for linking Business Object, SAP BW and the SAP Enterprise Portal.
The Business Package MSS 1.41 give us a functionality to display (in a federated portal) personalized Budget and costs in an Overview Iview (kind of Welcome page).
Those information are retrieved from SAP BW and I'd like to know if it's possible to retrieve those data (with the same functionality) from Business Object tool.
Is it possible to have those personalized reports without having a direct link (standard architecture) between SAP BW and the federated portal?
Thank you in advance fro your answers.

  • Relationships between Business Objects

    Hi,
Does anyone know where to look to find the relationships between various business objects? If you look at most ES descriptions, there is usually a reference to a business object. I'd like to find somewhere where I could see the entire network of relationships.
    Thanks
    Dick

    hi,
IMHO there is no straight-forward relationship between business objects. business objects are independent entities offering some operations to manipulate them. if some business object wraps('has') some other business objects, it is nevertheless supposed to be manipulated by some operations(services), which refer to the aggregate object only. otherwise you you would loose loose coupling.
business object share a certain context though, common domains where they are required. in SAP this is reflected through ES bundles, e.g. <a href="https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ESpackages/CourseApprovalProcesses">this</a>. In such an ES bundle description you find a  <a href="https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ESpackages/CourseApprovalProcessesBusinessObjects">link</a> affected by the use cases which are to be handled within this ES bundle.

  • Re: What is the relationship between the JTA Server Timeout and

Two things. The transaction timeout is set when the transaction starts. When are you setting the timeout, and where are you starting the transaction?
There is a bug in 6.0 SP1. The EJB subsystem always sets the transaction timeout. If you don't specify anything in your descriptor. It sets the timeout to 30 seconds. However, if you
change the JTA default to 60 seconds, the EJB container won't see this change. This is fixed in our next minor release.

  • Scenario for interface between a non sap system and a SAP erp

    Hello,
I need some help in order to elaborate a interface between a SAP ERP and a non-sap system with the help of a XI system.
       -  At first regarding the interface from the non sap system and a SAP ERP :
the non sap system sends a flat file to the XI system. The flat file contains a row with header data and rows with item data. We were thinking when the file arrives to the XI system, to save the data in a header database and in a items database in XI. is it possible ?
And then to have like a job that reads the database and creates idoc and sends them to the SAP erp and updates the xi header and items database  with a flag that means that the records have been sent to the SAP erp.
       -   Regarding the interface SAP erp to non SAP system:
the SAP erp sends idoc to XI. Then the idocs are transformed into flat file.
    Is this scenario possible ?
Do we need any adaptator between the non sap system and the XI ?
    Thank you for your help
    Christophe

    Hi Bontron,
Idoc doesnot support synchronous call. So you can use either proxy or function module and inturn call the idoc from them and send response back to xi. You need to have two scenarios for your design.
Scenario1:   Source File (file adapter) -- xi -- Dump into database tables (Jdbc Adapter)
Scenrio2:  Pickup form Database tables  (Jdbc Adapter) -- xi -- RFC Adapter  ---> This is synchronous call.
Regarding the interface SAP erp to non SAP system
You can send idoc to xi and from there use File adapter to send to the receiving system.
These blogs may help you to some extent:
    /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/06/01/file-to-jdbc-adapter-using-sap-xi-30
https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/step%2bby%2bstep%2bRFC%2bto%2bJDBC%2bscenario   (your scenario will be opposite to this)

  • Interface between business ware house system and SAP SD module

    hi,
I want to develop interface between business ware house system(file adapter) and SAP SD module.  how can i post the data into SD system? can any one tell me which Idoc i should use in receiver side?
if i want to go abap proxy how can do it?
give some inputs(methods which i should use)
    Thanks in advance
    regards
    Ruban

    Hey
the selection of IDOC depends upon what you wanna post into SD.get in touch with the ABAP guys and they should be able to tell u exactly which IDOC to use.
once u have decided on IDOC,you can go for a File to IDOC scenario.
as far as proxies are concerned, they kinda give better performance compared to IDOC but you need to do ABAP coding for them,in that case u dont need any IDOC

  • Relationship between CRMPAROLTP table(R/3) and R3AC6 transaction(CRM)...

    Hello Experts,
In transaction R3AC6 where you maintain the middleware parameters, I maintained the 'PRICINGTYPE' value
to 'G' and in table CRMPAROLTP in R/3, I added a new entry for 'PRICINGTYPE' also with a value of 'G'.
Now, I am expecting that when I create a new sales order from CRM and passed to R/3, the pricing type of 'G'
is not being carried out when I check the line item conditions. I have checked so many SAP notes and I can
say that the pricing type 'G' is supported and needed SAP notes are installed in our CRM. We are currently running
    CRM version 4.0.
I really don't know what to do anymore. Hope you can help me guys. Thank you and take care!

  • Link between business transactions in CRMD_ORDERADM_H

    Hi,
Could you please help me with a table/tables that contains link between different business transactions.
For example, if I need purchase order associated with an invoice?
I know that CRMD_ORDERADM_H contains information regarding both purchase order and invoice.
I can use Transaction Code bbp_pd, however, I need the underlying tables.
I will use this information to pull data from SRM to BW.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Instead of using SELECT statements, you cna use standard Function modules to fetch the required data.
e.g.To get all the details for a PO,you can use the FM "BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAIL".
In the export parameter, table "E_HEADER_REL",you can see the follow on documents details for the PO.
    Hope this helps.
