  • Release date for next version of Forms?

Has anyone heard of a release date for the next version of Forms (10.1.2.0.2 or whatever it will be)? I may be starting a major Forms project shortly and I'd like to use the most current version of Forms with the current Application Server.

We are looking at mid summer this year. Depending on your start times it may be as well starting on 10g (9.0.4) as there is a long support cycle for it.

  • Release Dates for JDK versions

Gettting back into the tech world after a hiatus. Trying to figure out how much catching up I have to do. I'm trying to figure out the release dates for the various JDK's so I can pick up on where I left off - it was somewhere between 1.2 and 1.4 I'm sure. The release notes and so on are very inconsistent about listing release dates. Any help out there on where to look?
    Brian

    Bri,
Suggest you just download 1.6 and take a quick run through the tutorials http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/ to pickup the basics again... you'll probably need a bit of a refresher course anyway if you're going back into coding for a living.
But what you've really missed is the standard hugemungious leaps in the open source libraries over the past few years.
I don't think the release notes are really worth reading, unless you're being paid to do it of course.

  • Official release date for JRE 6

    Thanks!

The expected release date has been moved to the first week in December 2006.

  • Release date for commercial version of Solaris 10 (x86)?

    Hi
Does anybody know when the commercial version of Solaris 10 (x86) will be released.
This is rather urgent as the Oracle certification depends on this release date.
    thanks

    It's already released. (~ Feb 1st, 2005).
    http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/get.jsp
(And it seems you can order Solaris 10 media kit now). That's what I thought but there seems to be a difference. According to the Oracle forums support for Solaris 10 will only happen once Sun announces the general availibility of the commercial version of Solaris 10 x86 (which aparrently hasn't happened yet), and that that date depends on Sun.

  • Pixar Up! release date for HD version?

    Hi all
I've noticed that you can pre-order Pixar's movie Up! on the iTunes store on the 10th of November, does anyone know when the HD version might be available to buy? I think it would be great on the Apple TV.

    OK thanks guys
Does any Apple TV owner have a rough idea of how long the HD versions of movies appear after the SD are released?
    there is no trend.
they vary greatly and are often only for rent (and sometimes only available for a set period of time).
and of course, the US store will get things much earlier than any other region.

  • Estimated release date for Universal version of FCE-HD

Anyone have an idea when the Universal version of FCE-HD will be released? I recently purchased a new Intel iMac, mainly for video work and can't do much until FCE is released. Unfortunately FCP is just too expensive for my limited budget.

Unfortunately I don't have a purchasing track record with Apple. Actually, my last Apple purchase (prior to the iMac) was a pair of Lisa's. What do you bet the kids in the local Apple store never even heard of it. My plan at the time was to be an Apple developer, using the Lisa as a code development workstation. It never worked out in that my day job sent me to the Far East for several years and when I got back to my own software business, the Lisa was just a memory. Not having the money to retool in the Apple world, I moved over to Windows (3.0) and eventually became so heavily invested in Windows based software / hardware, there was no way to jump ship and return to the Mac. I promised myself that, once I retired, I would pack my last Windows machine to the recycle center and get myself a Mac... and here I am.
Anyway, the next time I am able to get out and around, I'll stop by the local Apple store and see what can be done, price wise. I don't hold out much hope, but it doesn't hurt (much) to try.

The current iTunes 10.5 upgrade does not install on Windows 7 and indicates a faulty install package (error 2324). Advice or details on the release date for a proper fix? I'm not able to roll back to the prior version, so I'm stuck in limbo.

There have been a number of problems with installing the latest iTunes on Windows 7 64-bit machines during the last couple of weeks.  You might want to do a search on that topic and see if anyone has a solution.  There have been various versions of the problem but a lot related to errors in the download package or failure to download.

  • Release date for Arch 0.8 ?

    Hi all,
I am a Slackware user in search of a new home. I have installed and played around with ArchLinux 0.7 on my test machine and feel ready to install it on my workstation, along with the current Slackware installation, in order to ease migration.
On the main web page, it says that version 0.8 is 'pending'. As I like to install from CD, and as I couldn't find any -current ISO, is the relase date for version 0.8 close, far or undefined?
    Regards,
    -pu

    uselpa,
Basically there are two suggestions I can give you:
1 - Use the 0.7 - base iso. Which only contains the base for Arch, which is what most people do. Install that and the pacman -Syu up to the current release state.
2 - Since you have to do 3 installs, and from what it sounds like you need to be up and running as quickly as possible, use the 0.7 full iso's. They contain the base and a few more apps (some DE's and what not). That way you'll have a full working system and can pacman -Syu later on when you have time.
Basically to answer your question, there is no stated release date for 0.8, as Arch doesn't really function like that. Things are similar to Slackware, where you can follow Slackware-current and stay up to date. With Arch however, there really isn't anything other than current. So version numbers and releases don't really matter.
I hope I cleared this up for you. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask .

  • Release date for 3.6.13 for Windows XP?

In preparation for audit of third party software used with Aperio products, need the release date of Firefox version 3.6.13 used with Windows XP CPU/servers. Thanks!

He may not know that the current security update for 3.6 is 3.6.17 which was released April.28 2011. Also there is a 3.6.18 release next week. Nothing special with 3.6.13 over 3.6.17 other than being behind on security updates. http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox36.html

  • Release Date for next BEA Workshop?

    Hi:
I haven't seen much activity around BEA Workshop 3.3 as far as new releases for more than 1/2 of a year. Is there a release date for the next version? What will it be? What happens to those people who already have subscriptions to BEA Workshop?
    Thanks
    Mike

The new Workshop 10.1 does not work with Eclipse 3.3(Europa)? That's disappointing. If you like Eclipse 3.3 you might be interested to know that BEA will be
releasing WebLogic Server Tools 1.0 based on Europa this Monday the
16th. WebLogic Server Tools does not have all of the Workshop features
such as Beehive support or AppXRay, but it has Workshop's WebLogic
Server integration bits and a few other basic WebLogic Server tools
(such as support for "Shared J2EE Libraries / Library Modules"). These
are the same bits as were shipped for 10.1, but they have been ported to
    work on Europa.
Note that if you are currently a Workshop users, WebLogic Server Tools
is not an upgrade path for Workshop projects. WebLogic Server Tools is a
paired down offering designed for people using basic Eclipse/WTP
facilities and wanting good WLS integration. Full Workshop on top of
Europa is a bit out in a future.

  • Release Date for Leopard-Compatible ProTools? Help Please!

    Hey,
I think this was the best forum to post this in. :$
I have a Yahama Motif 7 Keyboard ( USB & MIDI Outputs ) connected via MIDI to a Digidesign Driver, which is then connected to my computer via FireWire cable. Logic Studio cannot recognize my Digi002 Driver, and I know this is because I lack ProTools AudioCore Recognition ( or something like that :P ) software.
Does anyone know the expected release date of the version of ProTools that will be compatible with Leopard? Would the hassle to reverting my computer back to Tiger be less than waiting for the new ProTools to come out?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have just upgraded in a quantum leap from a Quicksilver Mac to a Quad Core 3ghz Mac Pro, and swapped out my MBox 2 for a Factory 003. Despite promises to the contrary, the Mac Pro came without Tiger install disks, which I knew I would need. Just Leopard disks and the beast pre-installed. Looks great but of course my Pro Tools 7.3 install failed. I tried the tips to install that were on the digidesign and Mac forums, and still no joy. Apple Care... well, cared and I am now waiting for OEM Tiger 10.4.8 to arrive so I can do a clean erase and install. Hopefully this will then leave me able to plug in the 003 and start having a great deal of fun Apple Care has sworn blind and on pain of spam that the install will work, and that the firmware has not changed since they were shipping the Mac Pro with both Tiger and Leopard install disks. Here's hoping, 'cos I hear not a whisper about Leopard-compatible Pro Tools...

  • Dell OMSA ViB Release Date for vSphere 6.0

    Hi,
is there any information on release dates for vsphere vib's for vSphere 6 (OMSA 7.4.1 / 8.0.1 / 8.0.2)
apart from that... will OMSA 8 be continued in two different development  branches for T430/R430/T530/R530/M630... and T630/R630/R730/R730xd or will there be a future single release for all 13G serversystems.
    kind regards
    Torsten

    Toki76,
The Dell Customized ESXi 6.0 ISO was just released 2 days ago. So  I would assume, from past experience, that the VIB is going to be released very shortly behind it., but as of right now I don't see it released. I can research to see if I can narrow the delivery date though, and let you know.
In regards to OMSA 8, likely it will be a single version that encompassed both branches.

  • Updated Release Date For Release 2 Running on AIX

Could you please update me as to the release date for version 2 of the Application Server running on AIX.
    Thank you,
    Tom

Doh! I never thought of checking my order status :P
But, seriously, May 31 seems like a place holder. If it were May 31, they'd post that when you purchase the software in the Apple Store instead of simply saying May.
Maybe I'm wrong, obviously :P Anywho, I guess I was hoping for it to come sooner and not technically May, but actually June.
