Release information about SEM 6.0?

Hi
My company has a BW-SEM installation. We are very keen to upgrade the BW part of it to Netweawer 2004s as soon as it is released, but we have to think also on the SEM 6.0, as they need to be upgraded at the same time (because they are on the same instance).
Does anybody know where to find updated information about the status of SEM 6.0 ?
Best regards, and thank you in advance
Carsten B. Dahl

Hi Carsten,
Normally, the SEM release would come after the BI release. This year is the exception, however. As SAP NetWeaver 2004s is being rolled out with the mySAP ERP 2005 ramp-up program, which includes SEM 6.0, that means that BI and SEM are expected to go into unrestricted shipment at the same time. That is at the planned end of ramp-up, at the end of May 2006.
A good source of information about actual and planned release dates is the product availability matrix in the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/pam. (Ramp-up information is at the alias /rampup.)

  • Report with information about release documents in VKM1

    Hello
I need to know if exists some report that gives me more information about release documents in transaction VKM1. What user releases some document? How many documents a credit account had been release or block in a year or between dates?
The transaction VKM2 just gives the release date of the document and not the user.
Where I can find more information?

    Hi,
There is a field to know which account is the parent account, but you can't have others informations from the parent account except the name. In the new R16, you have others field called "Parent Account external unique ID" and "Parent Integration ID". What can I do with this field? Is it possible to display the parent account phone field in the report?

  • Need information about release codes

    Hi,
I need information about release codes. In which Transcation we will get it.
    Please give the information ASAP.
    Regards,
    Chow.

    Hi Naidu,
Release code is a two-character identifier with which a person responsible for processing a document can release/ approve an item of a purchase requisition, a complete purchase requisition, or a complete external purchasing document, or cancel a release.
If a link to SAP Business Workflow has been defined for the release code, the person can refuse to effect release (withhold approval), thus rejecting the item or document.
You can find the relelase codes Using the following path :
Go to Transaction : SPRO and click on SAP Reference IMG and follow the menu :
-> Material Management ->Purchasing->Purchase Requisition->Release Procedure ->Procedure with classification -> Setup procedure with classification
    Hope this helps..

  • Clicking on "View more information about this update" for 31.5.0 does nothing

I got a pop-up today that Thunderbird 31.5.0 is available. I clicked on "View more information about this update" because that usually takes me to the release notes and I prefer to read about updates and download and install them myself, rather than have the system do it for me. (I do this so I can save previous versions in case I run into a problem with the latest and want to go back.) But when I clicked on "View more information about this update" nothing happened. It didn't switch over to the browser nor start loading the release notes.

About 5-10 minutes after I had clicked on "View more information about this update" a few times (and had manually gone to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/31.5.0/releasenotes/ and downloaded and was in the process of installing the new release), my browser opened up three tabs on that page. I guess it was just a very delayed response.

  • I don't see any information about IE 11 if it is 32 bit or 64 bit in indows 8.1 either not in about IE or somewhere else! in windows 7 it it is there you can see it

    hi,
I have windows 8.1 and windows 7 both installed on my laptop.
when I open windows 7 and go to start menu I see both version of IE   32 bit and 64 bit.
but when I go to windows 8.1 core edition 64 bit ,I don't see IE 64 bit or normal (32bit).  I see only IE and when I go to about IE I don't see  there any information about IE   if it is 64 bit or 32 bit?
I find it strange because I don't know with which version of IE I am working 32 or 64 bit?  I know my IE is 11 but I don't know if it is 32 or 64 bit?
    h.david

    It's complicated :)
MS changed a lot of things with the release of Win8.
By default, 64bit versions of Win8.0/8.1, will never run 32bit IE.

  • BB Store #355 Refuses to Give Out ANY Information About iPhone 4

Has anybody else run into this issue?  When I pre-ordered 2 phones on the first day, I was told they'd call in advance to set up an appointment with store #344 in Spokane, WA.  The salesman also recommended that I call on Wednesday (today) to double check on availability.  I just called and they told me that they will not release ANY information about the iPhone 4 until launch day tomorrow.  They would not even confirm or deny whether they had received ANY phones yet.  Not sure if this means I need to go over there tomorrow morning and wait in line?

  • Anyone have  information about the publicised Free 3 month trial of iCloud for attendees of the Sydney Presentation held last wednesday?

I last purchased product at the release of cs3 and was not allowed to register the software 'because I had had it too long' ... yes, I had several episodes with the Big C and Adobe didn't honour their sale obligations ... should take the case to the Ombudsman ...

If a customer has purchased an earlier full version of product Adobe ought register that product so that it can be use. I purchased product and the tech who looked after the registration which enables you to use the product would not enable the software for use because there was a lag between purchase and request for activation.
Your comment about contacting whoever made the offer of access for attending the presentations is what doesn't make sense because there appears to be no way of contacting the organisers.

You need to use the transaction UCCHECK.
    The report documentation is here
    ABAP Unicode Scan Tool UCCHECK
You can use transaction UCCHECK to examine a Unicode program set for syntax errors without having to set the program attribute "Unicode checks active" for every individual program. From the list of Unicode syntax errors, you can go directly to the affected programs and remove the errors. It is also possible to automatically create transport requests and set the Unicode program attribute for a program set.
Some application-specific checks, which draw your attention to program points that are not Unicode-compatible, are also integrated.
    Selection of Objects:
The program objects can be selected according to object name, object type, author (TADIR), package, and original system. For the Unicode syntax check, only object types for which an independent syntax check can be carried out are appropriate. The following object types are possibilities:
    PROG Report
    CLAS Class
    FUGR Function groups
FUGX Function group (with customer include, customer area)
FUGS Function group (with customer include, SAP area)
    LDBA Logical Database
    CNTX Context
    TYPE Type pool
    INTF Interface
Only Examine Programs with Non-Activated Unicode Flag
By default, the system only displays program objects that have not yet set the Unicode attribute. If you want to use UCCHECK to process program objects that have already set the attribute, you can deactivate this option.
    Only Objects with TADIR Entry
By default, the system only displays program objects with a TADIR entry. If you want to examine programs that don't have a TADIR entry, for example locally generated programs without a package, you can deactivate this option.
    Exclude Packages $*
By default, the system does not display program objects that are in a local, non-transportable package. If you want to examine programs that are in such a package, you can deactivate this option.
    Display Modified SAP Programs Also
By default, SAP programs are not checked in customer systems. If you also want to check SAP programs that were modified in a customer system (see transaction SE95), you can activate this option.
    Maximum Number of Programs:
To avoid timeouts or unexpectedly long waiting times, the maximum number of program objects is preset to 50. If you want to examine more objects, you must increase the maximum number or run a SAMT scan (general program set processing). The latter also has the advantage that the data is stored persistently. Proceed as follows:
    - Call transaction SAMT
    - Create task with program RSUNISCAN_FINAL, subroutine SAMT_SEARCH
For further information refer to documentation for transaction SAMT.
Displaying Points that Cannot Be Analyzed Statically
If you choose this option, you get an overview of the program points, where a static check for Unicode syntax errors is not possible. This can be the case if, for example, parameters or field symbols are not typed or you are accessing a field or structure with variable length/offset. At these points the system only tests at runtime whether the code is sufficient for the stricter Unicode tests. If possible, you should assign types to the variables used, otherwise you must check runtime behavior after the Unicode attribute has been set.
To be able to differentiate between your own and foreign code (for example when using standard includes or generated includes), there is a selection option for the includes to be displayed. By default, the system excludes the standard includes of the view maintenance LSVIM* from the display, because they cause a large number of messages that are not relevant for the Unicode conversion. It is recommended that you also exclude the generated function group-specific includes of the view maintenance (usually L<function group name>F00 and L<function group name>I00) from the display.
Similarly to the process in the extended syntax check, you can hide the warning using the pseudo comment ("#EC *).
    Applikation-Specific Checks
These checks indicate program points that represent a public interface but are not Unicode-compatible. Under Unicode, the corresponding interfaces change according to the referenced documentation and must be adapted appropriately.
    View Maintenance
Parts of the view maintenance generated in older releases are not Unicode-compatible. The relevant parts can be regenerated with a service report.
    UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD
The function modules UPLOAD, DOWNLOAD or WS_UPLOAD and WS_DOWNLOAD are obsolete and cannot run under Unicode. Refer to the documentation for these modules to find out which routines serve as replacements.

  • HT1222 This article contains absolutely NO information about the update being offered.

This article contains absolutely NO information about the update being offered. It doesn't even tell me what it might break on my system (i.e. what gets changed). Just excuses of "We Aren't Telling Until Our Investigation Is All Done."
That's not a good enough reason to install an update, it never was, and it never will be.
"Do it because we say so" might fly overseas in Foxconn factories, but around here we don't like being kept in the dark and fed a load of fertilizer.

The individual update pages, such as this one, list the changes and fixes. The reference to information which Apple doesn't release is about security bugs it's identified but not patched, as it would only be useful to attackers.

  • General information about JATO.

    OK,
We are finally ready to get off of ND4.
I'm doing some research about our next direction.
The way I understand it is that iMT will transform my ND apps into
J2EE apps using the JATO architecture. Where can I find more
information about JATO? I can't seem to find much on the iPlanet
site, or in general. Is it on a level with Struts? Does it only work
with iPlanet? I've contacted my iPlanet/Sun/NetDynamics rep about
starting this process, so maybe I will get more information then. It
just seems odd not to find it generally discussed. If I go with JATO,
am I just locking my self into another proprietary api (ala
NetDynamics)? Any general tips NetDynamics veterans can offer?

    John--
I'm doing some research about our next direction.
The way I understand it is that iMT will transform my ND apps into
J2EE apps using the JATO architecture. Where can I find more
information about JATO? I can't seem to find much on the iPlanet
site, or in general.Unfortunately, as much as we've been tirelessly promoting JATO for the last
year and a half, only now is significant public information finally going
to be made available. The link at the bottom of each forum email will be
live in a week or so, and will be the official public site for JATO. If
there isn't enough information there, we'll do what we can to get additional
information to you--just let us know your needs, or simply ask your
questions here. Many of you may not be aware that there is even a 10+
chapter JATO training class... We're trying very hard to make this sort of
material available to our external users.
Is it on a level with Struts?Since we're getting lots of these sorts of JATO questions lately, I've
posted the JATO overview white paper to the forum files area. I recommend
everyone read this 17 pager; it discusses what JATO is, what it aims to be,
and how it differs from other J2EE application frameworks. You can access
    the white paper here:
    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/iPlanet-JATO/files/jato-overview.html
Does it only work with iPlanet?NO! It is an application framework based on standard J2EE. It's been run
successfully in just about every container on the planet. Please see the
JATO presentations in the forum file area for more information:
    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/iPlanet-JATO/files/JATO%20Presentations/
I've contacted my iPlanet/Sun/NetDynamics rep about
starting this process, so maybe I will get more information then. ItWe're working hard to get the word out to everyone in iPlanet/Sun.
Depending on who you talk to, you'll get someone very familiar with JATO, or
someone who's never heard of it. The reason for this is that JATO is not
being released as an official product, but is rather as a free developer
technology. JATO has now been chosen as part of the Sun ONE architecture,
so everyone both internally and externally will be hearing a lot more about
it in the near future. If your rep comes back to you and has no info on
JATO, please ask him or her to contact Charles Beckham or me for info.
Regardless, we're the architects and engineers hanging out here, so this is
the horse's mouth. <grin> All the JATO materials have been developed by us
personally (which is why they're somewhat slow in coming), so just ask us if
you have questions, here or in off-forum email, and we'll be glad to help.
just seems odd not to find it generally discussed. If I go with JATO,
am I just locking my self into another proprietary api (ala
NetDynamics)? Any general tips NetDynamics veterans can offer? Please read the white paper for information that I think will squarely
address this question. However, I will make these observations at least:
We've done everything possible to make JATO complementary to J2EE, and we
don't hide the underlying J2EE API from you. Instead, JATO applies
    well-known, state-of-the-art, application-level design patterns to baseline
J2EE to help you build real-world J2EE enterprise apps. My experience is
that enterprise architects and developers find this far more of a benefit
than a hinderance. Furthermore, you get the source for JATO. (I've lobbied
long and hard to make JATO open source, but you can imagine how that fares
inside a huge company like iPlanet...)
Anyway, I could go on and on, but please read the white paper and see the
presentations, then let us know if you have additional questions. We'll be
    glad to answer them.

  • Indepth information about Solaris Installation

    Hi,
where can I find in-depth information about the installation
process for Solaris (6, 7 and 8) on Sparc machines?
for example I need to know:
There seems to be a limit for the length of the parameter of the (OBP) boot command. How long can the parameter be?
What actions does pfinstall while installing the system? What files are changed by pfinstall in /etc and /a/etc?
Also I need some more information about the sysidtool programs.
I alreay looked in the man pages, manuals and searched the sun websites (www.sun.com, docs.sun.com, etc.)
    TIA
    Bernd Schemmer

The differences would be new features, documented in the Release Notes and README files.
We don't document lists of, for example, bug fixes.
The compilers are forward compatible in the sense that valid source code that worked with C++ 5.5 will continue to work with C++ 5.8, and binary files that were created by C++ 5.5 on Solaris 8 can be linked into a program that is built with C++ 5.8 on Solaris 9. (I say "valid source code" because we don't promise to duplicate old bugs.)
Since you are moving to Solaris 9, I recommend using Sun Studio 12 (C++ 5.9) instead of Sun Studio 11 (C++ 5.8). Using Studio 11 is necessary only if you need to build on and generate code for Solaris 8.

  • SLD information about kernel level

    Hi all,
does anybody know if and where the SLD captures information about the kernel levels (release, patch level etc.) of the registered SAP systems? I am not able to find those anywhere but I know information is at least
to some degree contained in the SAP Support Packages.
    Thanks in advance!

    thanks for the info,

or I am just unable to find it and looking in the wrong places. As a third possibility it might
be some kind of configuration issue...
