What's new in this version (1.0.7):
On Windows, the corner X button can close or minimise Spotify. Choose in your Settings.
Making a collaborative playlist in 1280x800 resolution? Excellent. Now you can see who's added songs in the User column.
Create Playlist option for playlist context menus to allow you to quickly create a playlist from a right click
Lyrics, Messages and Play Queue each have their own button. Click once to view, click again to go back.
We've improved the way playlists are sorted.
Having trouble logging in? Try changing your Proxy Settings from the the login page. (It's easy, promise.)

Second all the comments above (yes, all), and... Hoorah for (finally) seeing release notes before the software is automatically pushed (to me at least). Basic stuff that shouldn't be worth a shout out in any other context, but everything is relative... Anyway, thank you Meredith. ... and it includes the minimise-to-system-tray chestnut (well sort of - it's minus the play controls). Almost feels like someone is listening (!) in Spotify HQ. Now, if we could only see what's in the roadmap going forward we'd be able to form a view on whether they really are or this is just a coincidence. Otherwise I'll just have to wait until everything I was annoyed about is sorted before signing up for premium again:- cache location- connect that works- play queues that (1) can be cleared and (2) don't get repopulated every time the end is reached- markers on updated playlists [Edit - good point ruccola] I think that's the remaining list... In the meantime: gave up on Google Play (might be fine on a phone but it's crap for use on a PC - needs a native app - and you can't sort your library) and very much enjoying Rdio and Soundcloud with Airfoil. Does everything Spotify is trying to do and more.

When reporting issues, always mention what version of the Spotify app you're using
Apple now supports users whose devices run older versions of iOS, and thus can't update their apps to the latest version.
Engadget has a good article about what it is and how it works.
Basically, regardless of your iOS device and version, you can go to Apple's app store and press "update." The app store will then automatically detect the latest, compatible version of that specific app, for your specific device

This update beings the menu navigation more in-line with iOS 7, but, some might say, it's also become slightly trickier.

I just got this service a few days ago. Since I have, every time I restart my phone my offline music gets deleted and I have to both go through the ludicrous hurdles you have to make it redownload to my SD card, and redownload all my selected music. Ive been logged off my phone because Ive "broken the 3 device rule" and had all my music deleted, even though I know that the devices I have authed are my phone and my laptop. When I checked I didnt have my laptop authed (but i was still logged in, go figure) and had 3 android phones. I suspect that you are duplicating this phone 3 times somehow, but I cant check because when I do you give me no unique information about that device (its IP, mac address, hell its user-chosen device name). I know you keep some too, given that the device name shows up on spotify connect. Go figure with this one. Oh, and I have no clue how to get my personal music files onto my phone through your service. Its appallingly convoluted to make happen though if it is at all possible. Suggestions?

QuickVPN 1.4.2.1 - latest release not online for download?

I am having troubles connecting the QuickVPN on Win7 (both 32 + 64bit) systems with a RVS4000. It worked once and from then on I get the known error message "Failed to establish a connection. This could be caused by one of the following: 1. Incorrect password..."
I read about a new QuickVPN release 1.4.2.1:

Unfortunately i Could not find it anywhere: the product support pages for the RVS 4000 only offer QuickVPN 1.4.1.2 for download, same with the other RV series products.
The release notes state that some NetBIOS problem is fixed in this version - which was another of my problems before I couldn´t connect anymore.

Try reading the fixes again, there is only one fix.
This release fixed a graphical user interface (GUI) font issue seen when the client runs on the Windows operating system in Japanese. The GUI fields were not changed, but now display properly
Netbios is only mentioned in "Known Issues"
afaik this version will be released shortly but really there is no difference apart one one fix.

Trend micro rubotted reports malicious dns query when accessing and reading release note page for 3.6.7 update

Trend Micro RUBotted.exe reports the above. The recommended scan, Trend Micro House Call, completes in 2:40 minutes and does not find a bot on my system. I have done the above action twice, (reading and opening release note fixes) and both times the same identical warnings appeared. My system appears to be clean. However, the RUBotted.exe program is designed to flag bot-like behavior, and I think this finding is correct, and not a false-positive.
This only happens when this page is opened, and I therefore think there is an embedded link that cannot be seen, and is run when this page is opened.
I did update to version 3.6.7, but scanned the system before and after I updated to 3.6.7. Results are identical.

I like how regularly you guys have been updating the desktop client lately and some of the new features are really nice (the Discover Weekly playlist is awesome). But there are two little issue that are driving me nuts: 1) whenever the client receives an update, my setting as to whether I want Spotify to launch at login resets itself. I do NOT want the app to launch automatically and this setting should be respected - but after each and every update I notice that the setting has been changed from "no" to "minimized". You gotta fix that, changing a user's settings like that is just a total no-go. 2) I know this is not important to 95% of the user base - but the AppleScript command to get the artwork of the currently playing track STILL returns missing value.... many of the scripts I wrote, scripts I've been using for years without issues, rely on the artwork data - I'd love to see this fixed. PS: is there a new update mechanism? I was interrupted mid-playback and Spotify showed a log in screen with a red banner saying "your client is being updated". The app restarted itself to version 1.0.11 and I had to log in again. I seriously hope this is not how updates are performed from now on - interrupting the playback and forcing an update without notifying or asking the user is pretty bad....

Devices and app finder not appearing in spotify for desktop

Hello everyone! Someone can help me? The Devices and app finder tab is not showing up for me in my spotify in version dekstop. And I'm not able to sync my song from my "local files" to my iphone. On my iphone:

Apps have been disabled since v1.0.1, see related threads and ideas about external apps. Device sync is possible in individual playlists with the "Available Offline" switch on the right side of the header, as far as I know.

Photo gallery photos will not open for desktop background selection

The photos I have in photo gallery will not open when trying to make changes to the background on desktop. Will also not open when trying to open them to e-bay.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Release notes for CC apps?

Are there release notes available for the Creative Cloud programs?
In the days of packaged and even electronic delivery there'd be a printed sheet or a pdf with release notes which might include known issue.
I ask because there are a couple of things which have come up on the forums since the release of CC versions where an Adobe staff member has gone "Yes, we know about that, and a fix is in the works". These are things that it'd be really useful to know before you start struggling to get something to work.

When you press F1 or go to help/ online help in the CC products it takes you to this page (Premiere as an example).

This doesn't feel intuitive to me.

IE 11 does not open in desktop mode on Server 2012 R2

We've built our first 2012 R2 servers. IE11 will open in metro if it's not set for desktop mode. It will fail in desktop mode. It will however open if you go to an admin command prompt, go to c:\program files\internet explorer and run iexplore.exe. When
trying desktop mode in the event app logs, event ID 102, task category (101) appears with the message "the program iexplore.exe version 11.0.9600.16518 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed". I have tried everything I've found using Google:
reset, use software rendering, etc and nothing helped. Any suggestions?

Hi Ben,
Your issue can occur if the IE setting is incorrect, or the temp folder need clear up. If you are not choose Always in Internet Explorer on the desktop, IE may use Metro mode. Also disable enhanced protected mode for a test.
This issue may cause due to some registry problems occurred.
To resolve this issue, follow the below steps:
a. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
b. Type regsvr32 actxprxy.dll in the Open box, and then click OK.
c. If the command was successfully executed, you will receive the message ‘DllRegisterServer in actxprxy.dll succeeded’ window.
d. Restart the Internet Explorer
If the above given steps also did not help then try to disable the antivirus and firewall and try installing Internet Explorer 11 manually.

I would like to find all the differences between 3.2.1 and 4.2.2 versions...to see which funcionalities that I have in the latest version will be missing in 3.2.2.

You'll find all of the Release Notes for all of the versions of APEX via the Documentation tab on our OTN page: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/documentation/index.html. On this page you'll find a link to the most recent Release Notes. For all of our previous releases, you'll need to click on the Documentation Archives link, and then drill down to the respective version in order to view the associated documentation.

I'm just wondering if the BST look and feel we are seeing
since the weekend is the "final" product? If so, I'm going to need
a tutorial because I can't get it to work the way I thought it
was supposed to for the life of me
If I try to search a Product Family>Product Name and go through all the search steps
to get to Communications Manager 9.1 and search "DRF" it seems to populate
the related bugs, which is good. But there doesn't seem to be a way to move to
Communications Manager 8.6, or any other, without going through the whole process
again. My understanding was that one of the main points of the new version of BST
was the ability to move between version releases seamlessly??
If I just put Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) in the Product Name
box then 44,335 bugs are displayed and the Releases box is grayed out so I can't define
a specific version
Maybe I'm just missing something here which would be no surprise.
