The idea of a Recovery email is so the rightful owner accomplishes the recovery, so I don't know of a process to edit that address if you don't know the Apple ID and associated Password.

Hi, The emails that I have received show the date received as either today, yesterday or July 28. How can I get the correct date received?
That's very scary. They might do it, but I personally have never had Apple contact me re id's except on their site when signing in. I suggest you DO NOT respond until you have a phone conversation with Apple security. They can verify if they sent you the e-mail and why.
While it's very possible it's true,again, I suggest you not respond until you speak to someone at Apple. I've often read here that when people sign in they are not allowed to because "someone else has used the id" type of statement.
Also, you should be able to go to the app store and see what apps you have downloaded.
Though it could have been a free app, have you checked to see if any were bought with your id account?
I've gotten these types of e-mails from places like USPS and FedEx which look amazingly authentic and were from their website. I also received an odd e-mail from my cousin in Ireland last year that clearly was not from him. It was also sent to others in his family in Ireland. I e-mailed him that I only opened it because it had a .ie, but suggested he change... Days later I received mail from 'him' - same name, but at yahoo.com.
Again, I would call Apple. You can also report it at [email protected], but I would not settle for that given your situation. If nothing else, call Apple sales (sales depts. anywhere answer fast) and ask them to transfer you to security. Apple will not want anybody accessing their name, and while it's unlikely, it's not impossible that it is someone phishing.

The issue is that your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside in order to purchase iTunes content.

Unless it has recently changed you can only watch rentals on the device or mac you rent them on.

get the app store reinstalled?The App Store is a default app and cannot be deleted. First make sure it has not been disabled via restrictions. To check, head to Settings -> General -> Restrictions on the iPod and make sure there are no instructions in placing for installing apps.
Otherwise, do a spotlight search for it. While on your iPod's home screen, swipe to the right and enter in App Store.

I forgot the answers to my security questions. When I go to the link for help remembering my security questions it sends the email to an email address that is not mine. And I don't know how to make it send to one of the two correct email addresses I have entered. Any suggestions?
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

You need to setup your own user account on the computer to keep independent iCloud accounts, contacts & calendars. Then sign in to your iCloud account in your user account.

took it to a mac bar and they said the diagnosis was a faulty hard drive
I had backed up most of my images ( i am a photographer)
had not backed up atleast 6 files full of raw images!!!!
they suggested sending it to a data recovery specialist which would cost around $500!
I am not getting the answers I need on how, why, or what is going to be recovered or if raw picture files will be able to be saved.
Not sure what to do next because I dont have loads of extra money laying around to pay for something that should have not occured in the first place if I was actually sold a good computer.

My thunderbolt 27" display works fine with Mac powerbook 13" 2.8Ghz, however with bootcamp and installed Windows 7 pro 64 bit version installed, the display only has a resolution of maximum 1280 X 800. I updated the graphics driver to Intel HD3000 with no difference. Any ideas how to get the same quality as with the mac os?
Just posted a problem I'm having connecting my Jaybird Freedom and iPhone5 (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4716045). The Jaybirds connected fine with an iPhone4s and another (forgotten) device so I don't think the problem lies with the Jaybird. I'd be interested if you hear differently.

Hey fellow Apple Geniuses - I just got the latest iMovie11 so excited for the new trailer feature, only to discover that these teenie weenie movie trailers are not near long enough for my taste, however I do like the cool transitions and layouts, so I discovered that I can convert the trailer to a project and then add more content, which I am doing right now. I need help though with the audio track... Does anyone know the secret to getting the 43 second music track to repeat, since this particular track (Friendship2) is not showing as an option in my iTunes/iMovie licensed audio to be able to keep dragging more into the movie?
