Remote Desktop cannot verify the identity of the computer because there is a time or date diffrence between your computer and remote computer

Hello.....
I'm not able to log into Windows Server 2008 r2 server thorugh Remote Desktop connection, receiving below error message.
This issue is with only three servers in the environment
"Remote Desktop cannot verify the identity of the computer because there is a time or date diffrence between your computer and remote computer......"
The date/time is correct on the server when i checked in the console session of the server
Can see below messages in event logs
Event ID 1014:
"Name resolution for the name XYZdomain.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded."
Event ID 1053:
The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows could not resolve the user name. This could be caused by one of more of the following:
a) Name Resolution failure on the current domain controller.
b) Active Directory Replication Latency (an account created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller).
Any thoughts ....

Hi,
Have you tried to connect these three servers with IP address instead of computer name or DNS name?
Check Remote Desktop Connection settings: Option-->Advanced-->Connect from anywhere-->Settings-->Connection Settings-->Select “Do not user an RD Gateway server”

  • I need to cancel my account, but I cannot verify my identity over the phone

I need to cancel my account, but I cannot verify my identity over the phone as I do not know what pin I entered, or what security answer I put in, and of course there are no recent numbers in my phone, but I'm still me, and I'm still the one who pays my bill, and I still need to close my account, and I need a way to do that. Honestly I'm getting quite frustrated here and am considering starting a lawsuit or submitting my story to a newspaper, I like verizon and thought I would get my next phone under verizon as well, but now I'm not so sure. But whatever the the case, even if I need to go somewhere in person with my id to prove that I'm the owner of my account, I need it closed.
I really hope that someone here can help me solve this issue, or direct me to someone who can solve this issue for me. I think that the better business bureau would find it as atrocious as I do that a person could get looped into payments that they don't want and cannot get out of, now I know that this was not the intention, but I really do need to cancel my plan because I cannot afford the bill.

  • Remote Desktop cannot verify?!?!

So I'm very ticked right now... I bought my father an iMac for Christmas, and he lives across the country in Florida (I'm in California). When I went home for the holidays, I set up everything on his iMac and turned on "remote management" on his machine. I have Apple Remote Desktop 3.5.1 on my 15" Macbook Pro (running 10.7.3) I tested out ARD on my machine, and controlled his machine with ease. I was able to log in to his machine when I was in the house with no problem... I now returned back to California with a nightmare of this. I can't connect to his machine at all now... I have the IP address for his machine, username and password and I keep getting this ridiculous "verification failed" error. I try "adding anyway" and it just says the machine is offline. What is the deal here!??!?!
The whole point of me doing this is to help my father out while I'm away, and I can't figure out why the **** this won't connect.... I verified that he has remote management turned on (allow access for all users, all local users can observe, control) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

In my opinion, ARD is really meant to be an enterprise product for buisnesses.  In fact the product used to cost $400.00.  I really wish Apple would spell that out clearer now that they dropped the price.
Not knowing what your Dad's network set up is like, I will make the assumption there is a DSL or Cable Modem and a consumer flavor firewall involved like one of the Linksys products.
I think the key point you need to look at, is using Port Forwarding on the remote firewall, (if there is one).
It is certainly possible to access a remote computer through the internet using ARD.  ARD really is not geared to this task very well due to the fact, most enviroments are using a version of NAT known as PAT, (Port Address Translation). PAT allows many internal hosts to share a single external IP address.
When trying to connect to the remote machine using the external address of the firewall, unless Port Forwarding is configured, the firewall doesn't know what to do with the packet and simply drops it. (In effect doing what it's supposed to do).
Using Port forwarding you can "MAP" the external address along with ports 5900 and 3283 to the internal address of that remote computer again using ports 5900 and 3283. This is a fairly simple configuration on most consumer firewalls. (I have done this, so I know it works).
You then enter the external address of the firewall to access your Dad's machine.  Please note, unless your Dad is set up using a static IP address from his ISP this address is subject to change and will.
Antother thing to note, some DSL or Cable modems may NOT be set up in bridging mode or have firewalls built into them.  This may be another thing to address if adding port forwarding doesn't work. I have encoutered that issue in the past. Most modems allow the mode to be changed. If not placed in bridging mode, the network is in essense double NATing the address if using a seperate internal firewall.
As Teen Titan mentioned, logmein might be a simpler approach but this approach has worked for me.
    I hope that helps.

  • Apple Remote Desktop CANNOT observe/control/curtain 30" Cinema Display

Apple Remote Desktop CANNOT observe/control/curtain 30" Cinema Display. All my other pc's (G4, G3, titanium, 17" Powerbooks and Macbooks) can be observed, using identical settings. i figured out that it may be the graphics card while trying to Microsoft Remote Desktop Connect to the Macbook running XP, the system crashed due to the (well known as really bad) ATI mobility XP drivers provided by bootcamp. So i quess the problem is the dual link in my G5 running on the 30". All the other remote desktop commands run fully ok. i just cannot get visual feed.
    Any thoughts??
    Thank you all in advance
    Dual G5, Dual G4, G3, 15" titanium, 17" Powerbook, 17" Macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

I've had this problem, too, recently. I have two G5s running 30" displays, I'll describe my situation - it may come down to your video card.
When I try to connect to one of the G5/30" on my network (a PowerMac 7,2, 512MB, running a GeForce6800 Ultra), it sporadically gives me the same non-visual problem you're having. But every now and then, I can connect, and can't figure out why. A lot of times in the ARD multi-observe window, it reports that this machine is maxing out the memory (98.7%, putting it in the red)
However, when I try to connect to another G5/30" on the network (a PowerMac 7,3, 512MB running an ATI Radeon 800 XT), I DO get a visual.
Maybe others know of known deficiencies in ARD/NVidia connections? Or maybe it has to do with the paltry RAM in the machine?

  • IOS 4.2.1 Causes "cannot verify server identity" for self-signed SSL Cert.

We are running Exchange 2007 SP3 with a self assigned certificate. After upgrading to 4.2.1 all users receive the message "Cannot Verify Server Identity" whenever the phone pulls down email/calendar/etc. Pressing "Continue" allows mail to download, however you have to press "continue" multiple times (apparently one for each message).
You can press "Details" and choose accept, however the problem continues. I have tried doing a hard reset, but this fixes nothing. I am sure it is a bug with 4.2.1 (4.1 worked just fine) specifically with self-signed certificates. If anyone has a fix please let me know. However, I'm sure that I should just be pleading to the Apple gods to quickly release a fix.

Making it very irritating to log in to exchange owa. I currently have the root, Exchange server and personal certificates installed on the device and it acts like they do not exist. I basicly have to keep punching the cert to use, probably close to 30 times, until the page has loaded. Once the page is loaded the certificate requests stop. Strangely in the console i keep getting:

  • Remote Desktop Connection cannot verify the identity of the computer that you want to connect to.

I had a Windows 2008 server which was upgraded to 2012.  Now RDC doesn't work and I get the following message:
Remote Desktop Connection cannot verify the identity of the computer that you want to connect to.
RDC works on the server because I can reach it via other windows machines, just not my Mac any more.  I suspect it is a certificate issue but I can't find it in my key chain.
    Any suggestions?

I am trying to activate  new qualitative research software. When I attempt to activate it my Apple Air will not allow it and gives an error message saying we cannot verify the identity of the developer of the software

The developer isn't recognized by the App Store, so your Mac is trying to protect you in case the program is malware. As long as you are sure it isn't, follow this procedure:
In the Finder, locate the app you want to open.Don’t use Launchpad to do this. Launchpad doesn’t allow you to access the shortcut menu.
Press the Control key, then click the app icon.
Choose Open from the shortcut menu.
Click Open. The app is saved as an exception to your security settings, and you will be able to open it in the future by double-clicking it, just like any registered app.

Downloaded the FCP trial version from the Apple FCP site several times and still get the following error.
“Final Cut Pro Trial.app” can’t be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.
Safari downloaded this file today at 1:34 AM from www.apple.com.
Strange that Apple can't verify it's self.

To get around that, go to system preferences>security & privacy>allow apps loaded from anywhere. Then set it back to whatever you wish after you finish the download.

  • HT6065 After upgrading to OS X Mavericks v 10.9.1, keep getting "safari can't verify the identity of the website" and asks to show certificate, cancel or continue.  Is anyone else having this issue?

Hello.  Just upgraded to OS X Mavericks v 10.9.1.  Now I keep getting "safari can't verify the identity of the website" error.  I looked for other updates, but none are available. Am I doing something wrong?  Didn't do this before the upgrade, now I can't seem to log into anything through safari.

Most websites are checked to make sure they do not contain viruses or that they are properly encrypted.  If safari cannot identify a website's ceritificate, check if other browers do the same thing (make sure they are up to date browsers), if they all say it cannot be verified, then the site was probably hijacked and you should run a full scan of your computer for viruses, unless the page was blocked by safari and redirected to something that said fraudulent webstie detected.

Hi,  I have the same problem...
Only it is with the Text-Animation Application "Blender" which I downloaded from:

I Right Clicked to open, but still get the msg. saying:
`Blender cannot be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed´.
    Anymore Tips that might help?
The msg. comes from Core Services, any way to get this to verify the developer???
    Thanks!

  • I am trying to install the driver for a Wacom Bamboo Pad. The dmg from Wacom downloadsand will opens, but when I try to install it the message "Install Wacom Tablet.pkg" can't be opened because the Identity of the developer cannot be confirmed"

iMac late 2009 3,06GHz Intel Core Duo; 500gb hard drive, 12gb memory. OS X 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion)
'“Install Wacom Tablet.pkg" can't be opened because the Identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.'
I have been trying to install the driver for a Wacom Bamboo Pad. There are several driver packages listed on the website (the device is supplied ready to run with Windows devices) and I have tried tried downloading all the available drivers which apply to my set-up. Some will not open at all and I get a 'Damaged' message on my screen. Of the ones which open, I can download the .dmg and expand it but when clicked it opens as a window with multiple choice of languages and an icon which instructs you to click to open.
If I do this some versions repeat the 'damaged' message but the later ones generate a window saying:-
'“Install Wacom Tablet.pkg" can't be opened because the Identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.' - this is as far as I can get it to go; most frustrating!
I understand that Apple's security updates have recently included an alteration that causes this result, and that there is supposed to be a legal (i.e. Apple sanctioned) workaround to allow files like this to be opened. If this is so, can anyone enlighten me?

    Many Thanks, Kurt.
I knew I'd seen the solution you've provided somewhere - either in MacWorld or MacFormat - but couldn't remember the Gatekeeper bit!
I shall save it somewhere VERY safe now in case this happens again …

    First:
 (Apple menu) > System Preferences > Users & Groups > select your account > Login Items.
Determine if that program appears in that list. If it does, select it and then remove it from Login Items with the "–" (minus) button.
    Next:
Select the entire line that follows (triple-click to select it), then control-click, and from the contextual menu that appears, select Services > Open:
    /Library/StartupItems/
If the program or an alias to it appears in that folder, drag it to the Trash.
    Next:
When you log out or shut down your Mac, de-select the checkbox that begins with the words "Reopen windows... "
