Remote dialin access using isdn pri

I configured dialin accesss using isdn pri interface. It works fine just for one user. When another user dials in (using same or different local username/password), the previous one loses the connectivity. Actually the statuses seem fine for the previous user: I can see him under "sh users" as well as host route in routing table. ppp session stays idle. There is no ip connectivity anymore.

Hi Starman,
configure the following command under dialer inetrafce and check the issue.
int di0
dialer load-threshold 255 either
dialer ilde-timeout 120
if you want another to use the isdn line then create another dialer interface.
clarify me whether the users are accessing the pri from the same location or different locations using different isdn no's.
If users are present in two different locations then best solution is create seperate dialer interface for users.
Thanks,
Satish

  • Remote Web Access using "UPN" or Email address

    Hi there,
I noticed this thread talks about the thing I would love to have.
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/4192a34b-d399-4aa4-8ee2-dc6a327cb952/server-error-in-remote-application-using-upn-to-log-on?forum=smallbusinessserver
I understand the SBS is designed for smaller, non-it specific, however most of the places that you do install are also limited so telling the when you use the RWA you use the "username" but when you log into Office365, you use your email address,
it would be nice to have them all the same.
I see that from here you are able to modify the RDWeb.
    http://msfreaks.wordpress.com/2013/12/29/step-by-step-customizing-rd-web-access-2012-r2/
But I understand that the Essentials is an out of the box solution, so maybe nobody has wanted to try or to fix.
The first post mentions about a "Error" with RWA in 2011 and they still haven't found something for this?  As they did mention about looking into it, however, no solution, so I can't be the only person asking for this feature of consistency,
as I know there are other out there.
Does anyone have any suggestion on how to enable this?   I swear that my Server Essentials 2012 this worked, as I tested it, so not sure what happen in R2.
    Kevin

    Hi Susan,
    Thanks for the post.
Maybe I am the only person out there... I have a few of these in the field, and I hate telling people that you user your "Username" for RWA, but you use your Email address for Office365...
Not exactly what I was hoping for, as I'm sure that server 2012 allowed this functionality.  Because it was one of the first things I tested when
    I installed Server 2012-E, mainly because it's
broke in SBS 2011.   I just wish it was more consistent that's all, especially when you are using Office365.

  • Which MIB can read the number of used ISDN PRI channels ?

    Hi All,
the title says it all really, I have added a MIB already to my PRTG monitor but the number of channels that it gave me does not much up at any time at all with what I see on my 3925 router.
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Fraser

it is possible to retrieve the number of channels in use from SNMP.
    use PERFMON >
    PerformanceObject = MGCP Gateways
    Counter = PRIChannelsActive
Instances = All (or which ever you need to view)
this information is also available in RTMT as well as most other SNMP packages such as NetIQ

  • Can I install WSUS alongside Windows Essentials Experience Role without killing IIS & Remote web access?

Can I install WSUS alongside Windows Essentials Experience Role without killing IIS & Remote web access?
I have recently installed Windows Server 2012 Essentials R2, but I want to use WSUS on the same server.  Is this possible, if so how?  Last time I tried this I lost my Remote Web Access.
I did post this in the Windows server 2012 essentials thread but didn't get any replies so thought I'd try posting it here to see if I got any hits here?
Is there a way to get WSUS to install to different web ports i.e. 880 & 8443?  Or can I get it to install in a new site in IIS?  Its just I know that the Essentials Experience role sets up RWA in IIS and installing the WSUS on top just overwrites
the RWA site & settings?  I assume this is also why Remote Desktop Services does the same?
    Thanks

Can I install WSUS alongside Windows Essentials Experience Role without killing IIS & Remote web access?
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/sbs/archive/2013/06/25/how-to-install-wsus-3-0-sp2-on-windows-server-2012-essentials.aspx
Last time I tried this I lost my Remote Web Access.
Remote Web Access uses the Default Web Site. If you install WSUS to the Default Web Site, it will break things. Install WSUS to the alternate "WSUS Administration" site on port 8530.
Is there a way to get WSUS to install to different web ports i.e. 880 & 8443?
    No.
Or can I get it to install in a new site in IIS?
Just select the option during the installer to do that.

  • Error during JNDI lookup Accessing Remote EJB (access to web service restricted using declarative security model)

    Hello everyone,
I developed a Web Service prototype accessing remote EJB using the EJB
control with special syntax in the jndi-name attribute: @jws:ejb
    home-jndi-name="t3://10.10.245.70:7131/AccountDelegatorEJB"
Everything works fine, but I get an error when I restrict access to my web
service with a declarative security model by implementing steps provided in
    help doc:
    - Define the web resource you wish to protect
    - Define which security role is required to access the web resource
    - Define which users are granted the required security role
    - Configure WebLogic Server security for my web service(Compatibility
    Security/Users)
I launch the service by entering the address in a web browser. When prompted
to accept the digital certificate, click Yes, when prompted for network
authentication information, enter username and password, navigate to the

    Andre,
It seems you are using the URL
    jndi:t3://secuser1:[email protected]:7131/AccountDelegatorEJB
whereas you should not be specifying the "t3:" protocol.
    The URL should be like
    jndi://secuser1:[email protected]:7131/AccountDelegatorEJB
Please do let me know if you see any issues with this.
Note that this will only allow you to access remote EJBs in the same WLS
domain. For accessing EJBs on another domain, you need to configure
    inter-domain communication by
following a few simple steps as mentioned at
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/ConsoleHelp/jta.html#1106135. This link has
been provided in the EJB Control Workshop documentation.

    Andre,
Can you try using the following url with username and password
    jndi://username:password@host:7001/my.resource.jndi.object ?
once you add webapp level security, the authenticated is the user who
    invokes the EJB.

  • Remote access using ssh/vnc

    Hi All!
Recently, I have managed to configure my Airport Base station to accept SSH using the port mapping/forwarding feature...
The main goal is to remotely access my mac in the office using SSH and VNC.
I was able to do this however remote Mac is using a high resolution which makes it slow to manage.[really slow].
I am currently using a Windows SSH tool called Putty.. and Real VNC to manage remote mac.
I tried to change the setting of Real VNC to a lower resolution but it would not work..accessing the remote mac will only work if my Windows VNC is set to use the
    "Full" colour level.
Is this a windows issue? I haven't tried using a VNC for Mac though..
any other tool that is available out there aside from Apple Remote desktop?
    Thanks, All!!!!
    DP

so the system server VNC refers to the MAC os x VNC...
No, Vine Server's System Server is Vine Server starting up at boot time and is always running. Vine Server existed before Mac OS X included its own VNC server, so Vine Server's terminology is a bit confusing, but it wasn't when the started using it (it even sounds confusing when I just said it ).
the Vine server itself is the stand alone vnc.
Yes. The Vine Server is a totally separate VNC server implementation. It may be run interactively, or it may be configured to start at system boot time so it is always running (this is the system server mode of Vine Server).
so , OS X's VNC is set to only accept high res..
I do not know if it can ONLY do the resolution of the display, but anytime I've tried to use a VNC client configured for lower resolution, the Mac OS X VNC server has not behaved well. Rather than fight it, I just resort to Vine Server. It has been a rock solid VNC server.
so connecting to the Vine server should be at any port not the 5900as this is the mac os vnc default port.
If you MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE that the Mac OS X VNC server is NOT running, you can use port 5900 for Vine Server, but I find it is safer to just give the Vine Server its own port, and commonly that is port 5901, but the Vine Server can be configured to use any port you desire.
Since I do not use a VNC client on Windows, I can not recommend any clients. However, I have heard of the following:
    RealVNC
    TightVNC
    UltraVNC
I am sure there are others, but not being plugged into Windows culture, my depth of knowledge is very limited.

  • Cisco 3845, h323-isdn pri, reverese caller id

    Hello!
I run mixed voip network, with several h323-isdn pri gateways.
Some of these gateways are cisco, some asterisk.
I configured one of asterisk gateways according to
    http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+func+CONNECTEDLINE
so if I do call in following scheme:
    PBX1--pri--asterisk1--h323--asterisk2--pri--PBX2
once PBX1 user accept call user on PBX receives user's name from PBX1.
but if I do call in
    PBX1--pri--asterisk1--h323--cisco3845--pri--PBX2
    There is no user name.
Asterisk sends name as informational element, I see it in traffic dump.
What I need to configure on cisco , so it will transfer this element to PBX2?
    Thank you!

There doesn't seem to be a happy intersection between using MGCP to get access to caller name and SRST mode.
    According to http://www.ciscotaccc.com/kaidara-advisor/voice/showcase?case=K32431525
Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) PRI backhaul does not support call preservation when transitioned from MGCP to Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) or from SRST to MGCP."
Which is bad, because you don't want calls dropping in and out if the WAN link is bouncing. The solution according to the case is "Use H.323", but of course the issue there is that you lose the display name if it's in the facility and not the display field.
It would be nice if it could at least be "lazy", so that the router would either wait until there was no call activity, or at least schedulable / forceable so that you can control what's happening.

  • ISDN PRI & BRI configration

    Hi,
I have 2800 series route at central location with PRI line and remote location with BRI line and DLINK router. i have 10 remote site.
Now i want to connect my multiple remote site through BRI to my PRI at central location
can you guide me with the configration at the central location PRI part
    I am in INDIA
    Bhargav

in india we have E1 as a PRI follow the procedure.
    Configuring Channelized E1 ISDN PRI
To configure ISDN PRI on a channelized E1 controller, use the following commands beginning in global configuration mode:
    Command Purpose
    Step 1
    isdn switch-type switch-type
Selects a service provider switch type that accommodates PRI. (Refer to Table 17 for a list of supported switch type keywords.)
    Step 2
    controller e1 slot/port
    or
    controller e1 number
Defines the controller location in the Cisco 7200 or Cisco 7500 series router by slot and port number.
Defines the controller location in the Cisco 4000 series or the Cisco AS5200 universal access server by unit number.1
    Step 3
    framing crc4
Defines the framing characteristics as cyclic redundancy check 4 (CRC4).
    Step 4
    linecode hdb3
Defines the line code as high-density bipolar 3 (HDB3).
    Step 5
    pri-group [timeslots range]
    Configures ISDN PRI.
.1 Controller numbers range 0 through 2 on the Cisco 4000 series and 1 to 2 on the Cisco AS5200 access server.
If you do not specify the time slots, the specified controller is configured for 30 B channels and 1 D channel. The B channel numbers range 1 to 31; channel 16 is the D channel for E1. Corresponding serial interfaces numbers range 0 to 30. In commands, the D channel is interface serial controller-number:15. For example, interface serial 0:15.
Table 17lists the keywords for the supported service provider switch types to be used in Step 1 above.
Dlink you have to configure simple dial-up connectivity with PRI.
    Thanks,
    Dharmesh Purohit

  • ISDB30 remote user access options! help.

We have ISDN30 here, what are the options to allow remote users to dial into the ISDN30 system to grant them access to our LAN?
    apparently ISDN30 should support this

Direct ISDN PE Dial-in Remote Access for the LAN.
The remote user initiates a PPP or MLP connection to the NAS/PE using ISDN. The NAS/PE accepts the connection, and a PPP or MLP link is established.

  • ISDN PRI dialer connections to AS5300

Swapping out an AS5200 running 11.3 with an AS5300 running 12.3. Copied the same config from the 5200 to the 5300. ISDN Pri calls from remote routers to the 5200 connect and stay connected. Calls from the same router to the 5300 disconnect after 1 sec. Q931 debug shows x8090 disconnect code being sent from the 5300. Suspect AAA auth issue because I don't see any attempts logged in tacacs server (CiscoSecure). When I debug ppp auth the only thing out of the ordinary is a "PPP Authorization Required" message but the AAA author configs are the same on both 5200 and 5300. When I run a debug on tacacs on the 5300 I see "pass" statuses coming back from the server.

    Use below commands to troubleshoot.
    • debug isdn q931 - To check ISDN connections as outbound calls are initiated.
    • debug ppp negotiation - To see if a client is passing PPP negotiation. A high number of concurrent PPP negotiations can overwhelm the router CPU.
    • debug ppp authentication - To see if a client is passing authentication. If you are using a version prior to Cisco IOS release 11.2, use the debug ppp chap command instead.
    • debug ppp error - To display protocol errors and error statistics associated with PPP connection negotiation and operation.

  • Not Working: BlackBerry Link Remote File Access Remove Old BlackBerry from BB ID

I have: removed my blackberry q10 from blackberry link, wiped my q10, uninstalled and reinstalled blackberry link, have link version 1.1.1.32, blackberry q10 os version 10.1.0.2309 - which whenever I plug in the q10 after removing the device from link, says there is an os update, so I update it, and then it does nothing apart from rebooting the q10, or gives an error saying 'updates not available. Please check internet connection and retry.'.
Also, I have Logout/login on blackberry link, I know my q10 is activated as I have purchased items from app world, and on the computer the app world site shows that I have a q10 when I sign in. I am using the same BBID and have changed the password on my q10 to see if that made a difference, then signed out and back into link on computer with updated password. I have administrator rights on my computer.
I can access the q10 from my computer over the same wifi network, and it syncs files fine with wireless sync turned on. It is remote file access not giving the option to connect to my q10. 'BBID *email* isn't associated with a device running Blackberry 10 OS or an error occurred when trying to retrieve your information from the Blackberry ID servers.'
The problem is that although I have the same blackberry id for link and my q10, no devices show up on the remote file access screen, and I cannot access my files on my computer from my q10, yet I can sync them on my computer over the wifi network. How can I enable Remote File Access?
A problem could be that I have a Curve 9300 on my BB ID account, so if I could disable this (which I have no idea how to do after a lot of research), this might rectify why link cannot set up remote file access.
What I haven't done is wiped my q10 and uninstalled all user data from link at the same time, as then I would have to manually reload everything on my q10.
My q10 shows my computer in the settings\blackberry link\paired devices ,  but I 'cannot view files on *computer*'. Also, link does not show in the file manager. I set up my q10 as a permanent link not a one-off connection.

No one cares because it's not a z10 (I know because I am having the same problem and no one knows how to fix it and no threads for q10 fix)

  • I bought a new imac running Loin and Office 2011. The server we use to access emails runs exchange 2003 and my IT person says the imac is not compatible with the server. The server does not want to let me access using any email software.

I bought a new imac running Loin with Office 2011. I am the only mac in the office and the Server we use to access emails runs exchange 2003 and my IT person says the imac is not compatible with the server. The server does not want to let me access using any email software other than webmail access through our website. It looks as though 2011 is not compatible with 2003 per some searches online, but what are some options I have to gain full access again? I purchased parallels in hopes that this my help and I am able to use remote desktop connection to log on to server but can not drag and drop files I need. There is a shared drive on that Server we all use to exchange files.
The two main issues are gaining access to my email again and ability to drag and drop files from mac to pc. I hope this is enough info to get some solutions.
PS - IT person says my iMac's IP is what his server does not understand so that is why I can not login.

Office 2011 is not compatbile with Exchange 2003.
I suggest you post further Office related questions on Microsoft's own forums for their Mac software:
