Removing an unwanted part of a foto

Hi there,
i recently took a photo for a launch event and to the foregroung of the shot is a symbol that was marked out on the ground.
The question i have is how does one remove this unwanted part of the photo using Aperture 3? Is it possible?

You can remove elements of photos that are undesirable, but there are limitations.
Aperture has both a 'repair' and 'clone' tool -- but the tool is mostly intended to remove items which are either small or thin. It's mostly used to remove things such as blemishes and wrinkles. But I've also used it to remove power lines (in outdoor photos) and power cords (in indoor photos), etc.
It doesn't work well for removal of very large items. E.g. if I had a picture with a large tree in it, I'd probably have a very hard time making the whole tree disappear -- on the other hand, removing a stray limb would probably be easy.

No question about that. If you can "see" Travis's device, then he can likely "see" your Time Capsule.
I'm just concerned that whomever the APExpress belongs to could be changing settings on my computer or Time Capsule that would cause the issues with me not being able to backup.
Make sure that you have a Time Capsule base station password. Unless a user has that password, they might be able to "see" your Time Capsule, but they cannot access any of the data on the Time Capsule or change the settings.
Open AirPort Utility, click on the Time Capsule and click Manual Setup
Then, click the Time Capsule tab below the icons to see the device name and password for your device. Make sure that you have entered the password and confirmed. Click Update if you have made any changes.
The message I get is "The backup was not performed because an error occurred while copying files to the backup disk. The problem may be temporary. Try again later to back up. If the problem persists, use Disk Utility to repair your backup disk."
I am not sure what this error means, because I cannot duplicate it here to test.

Have you looked at Safari's menu bar > view> toolbars to see if it can be unchecked from there,also see if there is a button to collapse the toolbar on the bar itself.

Remove or isolate part with JavaScript?

Hi folks,
as you know you can remove or isolate parts in the modelhierarchy with a few clicks. Now I want to do exacactly the same with JavaScript to add this function to a button or something similar.
So I can have a button like "show part xy" and only this part is shown in the 3D view and other parts are not visible.
Is there any chance to do this?
I think there's a workaround with creating an animation like an exploded view where certain parts are removed. But a simple funtion would be much more easier I think.

When you delete from the library, one option still keeps it on the shelf to be downloaded later. The other option does remove it from the Bookshelf. I provided the excerpt from the iPhone User Guide.

Delete items from the bookshelf: Tap Edit, then tap each item that you want to delete, so that a checkmark appears. Tap Delete, then tap Done.
Delete this copy: Removes the item from iPhone, but it still appears on the bookshelf and can be downloaded again.
Delete from all devices: Removes the item from all of your iOS devices and from the bookshelf. You can download it again from Purchases in the iBookstore. See At a glance on page 109.

Erased unwanted parts of photo now how to make a background

I am just getting started with PSE 8.0.1. I have a photo where I just want that part which is a given person. I cropped then erased unwanted parts. The erased areas are pure white. How would I create a background that looked like clouds or draped cloth or something that would appear only in the erased parts of the photo?

Sorry to say, but the work flow which you describe will not give you result which you desire.
Go to File>new>blank file. Enter height and width, and resolution. The resolution should be about the same as that of your picture
Set the foreground and background color chips (lower left) to diffent colors - for example shades of light blue
Go to Filter>render>clouds. You should have a background with a cloud pattern
Minimize this as you wil need it subsequently
Make a selection of the person which you wish to retain, using one of the selection tools - e.g. the Selection brush tool. After you make the selection, you will see "marching ants" around the selection.
Go to Select>inverse, then hit delete on the keyboard, go to select>inverse. The checkered pattern denotes transparency
Go to Edit>copy. This will place the selection on the clipboard.
Go back to cloud background, go to Edit>paste. This will put your selection on a new layer
Access the move tool to position and resize the selection over the background.

Your question is not quite clear about where you are doing the searches from, but I will presume you are trying to do searches from Safari (Apple’s web browser) and it is using Bing as the default search engine. You can set the default search engine to Google by going to the Safari menu > Preferences > General > Default Search Engine:

I am unaware of an all in one tool as your requesting that is free. However, you can cover your basis with just a few freeware tools.

So I open the App Store and there's a update awaiting me. Some App called CodeBox by one Vadim Shpakovski version 1.6 Released 7 April 2012
So I check it over, check the app out and what it's all about. The App costs £6.99 and it's designed for developers. Simply I don't want the **** thing and I never applied or activated the app for purchase.
I've looked everywhere and there's no delete update or remove update.
Can anyone enlighten me as to how to remove the unwanted update?

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
