Removing iPad from otterbox case

In response to an earlier post about removing residue from an iPad screen, I was going to try the warm water on a cloth approach but I can't get the iPad out of the case now:). I have the commuter series I think is what it's called, it's the cheaper of the two otterbox iPad cases. I was going to try to clean my screen but I can't get the iPad out of the case to do it:). If anyone has any instruction on how to remove it I would greatly appreciate it

While I don't have that case, I have the Defender case, I also had an issue like this when I first got my case.
My trouble, and maybe yours, was that I had somehow left some adhesive from the screen sticker on the face of the protector. That had bonded to the case front.
If you suspect this is your problem then I would suggest that you very, very gently warm the case with a hairdryer to loosen the glue. YMMV If you ruin your case, iPad, burn down the house, start a riot or instigate a small war then let it be know it is not my fault. You accept all responsibility on yourself.
But think about it you only have so many options:
Heat
Liquid
Mechanical
all could go wrong and anything could happen. Examine what is going on and see if the above suggestion applies.
Oh and you could just ask the vendor as I have found them to be very helpful and willing to ensure you are happy with their product. I know I am.

  • Removing iPad from the Apple iPad Case

It was easy enough to get the iPad into the case, but I can't get it out of the case. Cutting it out of the case really does not seem to be a reasonable method.
    What gives?

    Easiest way I know:
    A. Open up the 'locking flap'.
    B. Using thumb & fingers, peel the cover's right edge, along right side of the iPad, out and down to expose the side of the iPad.
    C. Holding case with fingertips, gently start pressing the iPad out using your thumbs. Work gently, using even pressure, and it slides right out.

  • Removing ipad from my account

how do i remove an ipad from my account because im giving my sister my ipad and she wants to add the ipad to her account so how do i remove the ipad from account

If it's registered to your account then you can login on this page and remove it, and she can then add it to her account : https://supportprofile.apple.com/
If it appears in your 'manage devices' section then you can also remove it from there (assuming that it's not still within the original 90 days of association) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627
You can also log out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores

  • Remove iPad from itunes

I am trying to unlink/remove my wife's iPad from my iTunes account.  She has here own Apple account, but notice that some apps that I have purchased end up on her iPad.  How does someone delete/remove/unlink a device from iTunes?  I have opened my iTunes account, and there are only two devices listed, and her iPad is not one.  What else should I be looking for?
    Thanks,
    Anthonhy

You can remove the songs right on the iPad. This will not delete them from iTunes on your computer.
Launch the Music app and tap on Songs at the bottom. Swipe across a song in the list to bring up the red delete button. You can also tap on the Album tab at the bottom and tap and hold down on an album icon and the X to delete will pop up on the album. Tap the X to delete the album.

  • I got an ipad mini and the previous owner will not remove ipad from his icloud.

My boyfriend bought an Ipad mini from his friend, who got it from someone else.  After I reset the Mini and inputed my Itunes information, the previous owner was able to view my information.  He called and texted me for a few days.  I was wondering if there were anyway for me to remove my Mini from the previous owners icloud or account, so that he wont be able to view my account information.

If the iPad was totally erased before you got it, or if you erased it and set it up again, there is no way he can access any of your information on it. I don't see how he could access anything in your account on the iPad anyway, remotely that is.
Did you erase the device first in Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings and then activate it again as a new device?

  • FSCM-DM: Removing invoices from dispute case

    Hi all,
I'm trying to remove an invoice from an Dispute Case but i'm receiving the error message UDM_MSG015 ("You cannot change this system node manually").
Is it possible to remove an invoice from an Dispute Case ?
    Best Regards,
    Bruno Sousa

    Hi all,
    Many thanks for your feedback.
So, as far i understood, after installing EhP2 and activating the business functions:
    - FSCM Functions (FIN_FSCM_CCD)
    - FSCM Integration (FIN_FSCM_INTEGRATION)
I will be able to remove the a specific invoice from a dispute case.
Just another question. These business functions seem to be valid also to FSCM-CR (Credit Management) but we don't want to activate the FSCM-CR and we want to continue using FI-AR-CR.
Does the activation of these business functions also activate the FSCM-CR ? Because that will turn off the FI-AR-CR and we don't want that..
    Best Regards,
    Bruno Sousa

  • Help - unable to remove ipad from icloud device list

I am trying to erase/remove my IOS7 ipad mini from my iCloud account, as I am selling the device.
I have been able to use the iCloud - Find my iPhone function to sucessfully erase the ipad mini. I did this using the browser interface to www.icloud.com from a PC.
I then try to 'remove' the 'erased' ipad and I am getting a recurring :- 'There was a problem sending your request to your device' error in the iCloud, Find my iPhone browser screens.
The device has sucessfully been erased and even if I repeat the device setup and re-associate it with my icloud ID. I get the same problem as above. Furthermore if I try to disassociate from icloud on the device itself by selecting the > general > reset > reset all content and settings option. I am asked for my iCloud login as part of this and I get an error that the device cant connect to iCloud - or something similar.
Any ideas how I get around this, as I basically have an orphaned ipad entry (albeit erased - so none of my data is on it), associated with my iCloud account and I dont want this - obviously..
    Thanks..

Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried all that - but it makes no difference. Will see if speaking to apple support can help.

  • Remove iPhone from case when charging?

Ok, this may be a dumb question, but I would rather post a dumb question than really mess up. Once I read somewhere to take my iPod out of its case when I charge it, I guess it keeps it from getting too hot or something. My question is, should I take the iPhone out of its case (Marware leather flip vue) when I charge it, either at home or in the car?
    Many thanks in advance.

The iPhone does not get particularly warm when charging, so it shouldn't normally be necessary to remove it from the case. If you're in an already-warm environment (e.g. a hot car) it's probably not a bad idea, though. High heat is bad for fully-charged batteries.
    Hope this helps...

  • How to remove scratches from Ipad 2

how to remove scrtaches from Ipad 2

Front I'd say you can't without affecting how the digitizer is going to work, and as for the back .... why bother?
If you want to mitigate further damage, then consider something like ZAGG shields, which provide coverage for both sides, or better cases, or some combination of the two.

  • Has anyone removed the screen protector from Otterbox?

I have the Otterbox on top of Apple's anti-glare screen protector as suggested in this forum. I'm having way too much trouble getting a response out of buttons on the edge of the screen or in the corners. I touch and touch, even press hard but no response. Even getting the phone to snap a picture is near impossible. I have no problems when I remove the Otterbox case, so I know it isn't a screen issue. I love the feel and protection afforded by the Otterbox case and would like to use it. Has anyone removed the screen protector from their case, and if you have, can you comment on the subsequent performance of it? Of note, I use the Otterbox case because I have young kids who use the phone - we don't have a landline. In other words, it's not dust protection I'm looking for, but impact protection. I hate to tear up a $50 case if it won't function anymore.

I removed the screen protector that was part of the Otterbox case and it now works much better. Still have the Power Support anti-glare screen protector on it. Also removed the small cover over the camera lense and now my pictures are more clear. Finally, I removed the covers over the speakers and I can hear the speakerphone again. These mods made the case an A+ for me. A little less protection but much better functionality.

  • HT201441 I bought an ipad off of criagslists, and I cant get intouch with the seller to get them to remove it from thier icloud, what should I do?

I bought an ipad off of criagslists, and I cant get intouch with the seller to get them to remove it from thier icloud, what should I do?

Nothing, except "keep asking".  Maybe you can return it.
In too many cases the "sellers who do not respond" stole the device.

  • What steps do I take to give my husband my older IPAD w/o removing him from my Apple account?

I recently bought a new IPAD2.  All personal data and APPS were transferred from my older IPAD to my new one at the time of purchase. I'd like to give my older IPAD to my husband w/o removing him from my Apple acct.  Apple's support does not provide instructions for my situation.  Does anyone have suggestions as to what steps I should take?

What you might need to do depends upon how you want the old iPad to be for him.
If he will be using your iTunes account for any purchases/downloads from the store then he can continue to be logged in with your account in Settings > iTunes & App Stores. If not then log out of your account by tapping on your id in there, and he can then log in with his own account - any apps and other store downloads that you leave on the iPad will remain tied to your account, so only your account will potentially be able to redownload them and/or download updates to your apps.
To use his own account for Messages he can log out of your account via Settings > Messages > Send & Receive - tap on your id at the top of that screen and select 'sign out' on the popup. He can then log in with his account. Similarly for FaceTime : Settings > FaceTime (tap on your id on that screen). And (if he wants to back up his content to his own account) : Settings > iCloud > Sign Out
If you want to remove all content from the old iPad so that he can start afresh with it, then Settings > iCloud > Sign Out, and then Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings
