Reomoving the 'Download' button from the iweb page

Hi All!
Is there a way that I can either remove the 'download' button that comes up when anyone clicks open my photographs on my web pae or prevent people from downloading my photographs from the web pages.

hi-
i was able to successfully republish my updated website (thru mobile me). it was originally published thru .mac last year before .mac changed to mobile me. however, i noticed that my web address does not have "mobile me" in the title as in some of the other websites that i've check out on the boards here. i wonder if that's a problem because when i've e-mailed links (by dragging the address or even copy & paste) to my updated website, the links don't work. it goes to a mac page that says "we're sorry but we can't find the iWeb page you've requested..." however, if i go thru a search engine (entering the first couple words of my site title), the website comes up fine. also, if i type in the full address manually in an e-mail, the link works. the problem seems to be in the dragging of the address directly from the site. are these things related? my website address is: http://www.hale-o-lani-aloha.com. (feel free to critique the site if you have any opinions about it)

Here's another post that might prove useful to you, from the iWeb06 forum. This may help you in the future when you want to update your site:
Because your site is already up on the .Mac server, I would never engage in publishing the entire site again; unless, of course, you just rebuilt the whole thing. Note which pages you made changes to, and publish your site to a folder. Double-click this folder on your desktop, and open the window in column view. Navigate to the Page_files, and the Page.html.
With the Finder window open that is showing your site, Command+N. Another Finder window will open. In this window, navigate to the same files on your iDisk, again, using the Go menu in Finder:
Go/iDisk/My iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/SiteFolder/Page_files(page.html)
From the iDisk Finder window, drag the Page_files/page.html of the pages that you made changes to to the trash. Now, from the other window, the window which shows your site in the published folder, drag these same files into the iDisk window, placing them in the same SiteFolder directory from which you dragged files to the trash. If you created a new page, you will need to also replace all other Page_files/page.html files which link to new page(s).
What you have just done is replace only the changed files. Because the .Mac slideshow assets are already uploaded, you should not have lost the .Mac slideshow for your photo's pages. Sometimes, it can even get simpler....as an example, I have a site that contains numerous .pdf files. With these, I don't even touch the Page_files/page.html files; I simple go into the Page_files folder and replace the old .pdf file with the new, updated one. Obviously the files are named exactly the same.
This is the best way for you to update your existing site on .Mac. You might also take a look at the ftp client, "Transmit". It works well with .Mac, with the exception that you must use the "Publish to a folder" command in iWeb.

This is getting FRUSTRATING!
I have created my iWeb pages, clicked PUBLISH ALL TO .mac I get a CONGRATULATIONS message that it's loaded, I click VISIT SITE, and I get this bloody error message

· The address was entered incorrectly. Check your spelling and try again.
· The .Mac member of this name has either created a page and removed it or has never published an iWeb site.
· There is no .Mac member of this name. If you'd like this member name for yourself, sign up for a .Mac account right now and have your own iWeb site in minutes.

There is no site name between "iweb/" and "/Welcome.html, so that url can't be correct. What is the name of your site inside the iWeb app.

Two solutions:
The Easy One:
Create a Form (which will be the button) and add text to it or choose a picture from iphoto. Now give the form/picture a hyperlink to the same site. So now if you press the button, the site will refresh and start at the beginning/top
The advanced way:
1. Publish your site on the web (not just local). Copy the URL
2. Now create a Button like displained in the solution above. As Hyperlink you'll now have to set external site and paste the before copied link AND add the following at the end of the url: #widget0
3. Add a html widget to the top of the site.
4. The widget's content should be <a name="anchor"></a>
5. Publish your site again on the web and look wether it works.
This way won't work, if the created site is linked as an iframe.

HT201272 Where can I find the download button from iCloud to my iPhone?

Hi! Can you help me? Though I see the list of music which the iTunesMatch uploaded to iCloud from my iTunes Library of my PC I can't find a download button on my iPhone.

If Match is 'on' and your phone is online, then you should get the cloud icon to the right of the songs (that are only in the cloud) in the Music app - does that show next to any of the songs ? If it does then tapping on the cloud icon should download that song.

Add a "Tell a Friend" button to an iWeb page?

When you create a .mac web gallery page on the top toolbar there is a button to "tell a friend" with an envelope icon. Clicking the button brings up a window that allows you to enter your name and the email address of the person you want to share the page with.
Is it possible to add this same button or at least functionality to an iWeb page?
I know you can copy the link and email it, but I'm thinking more about family that doesn't know how to do stuff like that and that button would be very helpful for them to share our page.

I want people to be able to download videos from my iweb site. New to this...how can I do this?

I made an iweb site but used "gallery" for videos that people could download. Now "gallery" is going to disappear but I want people still to be able to download my videos if I choose. I thought I would put this option on my iweb site but don't know how to do it? Any suggestions.

Create a zip of your movie files - Finder/File/Compress - and upload them to a folder on the server.
Create a text or image hyperlink to each one and the file will download when clicked...

Why can I not download something from a web page?

This is probably a stupid question, but I am totally new to this.
This probably is not the appropriate place to ask, but is there a way to download a .exe that I need for a clients laptop (in the field) onto my iphone and then USB it to the laptop? I'm pretty sure about the USB part, but I was told by AT&T today that the iphone will not download programs like that from a web page. I do not want to run them on the iphone, just transfer them to a PC.
Maybe I should return the phone.

The iPhone doesn't allow downloading of stuff (except saving of Pictures). It also doesn't allow you to take stuff off via the USB...there is no disk access to the phone, it is not a thumb drive. It is a closed and protected file system that requires iTunes to sync stuff to or remove...sorry.

Photos are gone from my iWeb page

Hello, I have iWeb 3.0.2(489) I hope I am in the correct place. When I first got iWeb, I hadn't figured out how to create a separate iWeb for each of the categories, so I have one page, with several titles on the top, and I can just click on each "title", and get the page I want to view.
The problem is, on just one of the pages, the photos are all gone. This is just a very recent development. After I select it, I get to the page, and the name is there on top of the page, but I cannot see the other names on top of that page, to select to leave the page , I just kind of click where I think the other names are, and get back to the first page.
I have MobileMe membership, but MobileMe chat tells me this is not a MobileMe issue, the website is not being published properly. What I don't understand is if all the other pages are Ok, why just this one. All of my software updates are up-to-date.
I hope someone may be able to offer some help, or suggestions as to why this is happening, which will be greatly appreciated. I realize that I may not be too clear in describing my problem so if you need more, or different information please let me know.

Those photos have not been uploaded to your MobileMe disk. The only file for that page that's there is the html file for the page. All of the supporting files are missing.
First, set the publication destination to a folder on your hard drive (bottom left image)

and publish the entire site to it. Drag the index.html file in that folder into your open Safari window. This will open the site locally and you can check those albums to see if the photos are there.
If the photos are there and the site is complete reset the publication destination to MobileMe (upper right hand image in the screenshot above) and use the *File ➙ Publish Entire Site* menu option to upload the entire site again and check. If that doesn't do it make a small change to those pages, edit a word and then change it back, and publish the entire site again.
If the above still doesn't work you can manually upload your site by mounting your iDisk on the Desktop

and go to the iDisk/Web/Sites folder. There you will see your site folder and an index.html file. Now drag the site folder you published to your hard drive onto the iDisk to replace the one that's there. That will get your site fully loaded.

I would suggest you go to ''Start > My Computer'' then find the drive that you have inserted your camera card into. If you open this drive, you should be able to drag and drop your images to your desktop.

You can order Vista from hundreds of online retailers if your local dealer does not carry it. Regardless, this is really a question for Microsoft or a Microsoft forum.

No, you cannot have the same primary email address used for two separate Apple IDs.
However, you can sign into the same email address on your separate devices for the purposes of receiving mail. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts & Calendars > Add Account.
Apple IDs are for using Apple services, like the App Store, iTunes, etc.
Email addresses (while used as the NAME of an Apple ID), are separate entities.

Picture alignment in the iweb page

hi guy, I have a issue with iweb picture and words.
If you are typing a article, there are always a situation you wanna insert a picture in between, but if I drag a photo from iphoto or Aperture, it always not align in the words. I mean the picture is actually above the word, you will need to type many 'enter's to create the space for the picture.
Is there a easy way to let the picture to insert into the page and cause the word to go around it? Or just simply space out for the picture that I insert?
