Reopening a .fla after trying the winrar method

A large file I was working on crashed last night. I've tried the WinRar method and can see the DOMdocument.xml is missing all together.
I was hoping to use a previous version and import the Library xml items into that file. However when I try to save the file back to a .fla, Flash CS6 won't open it.
I'm just changing the extension from .rar to .fla on my mac, is that the way to do it or do I need a specific software?\

Yes this is correct.
I've tried the rar method on a friend's PC and the rebuilt file can't be open and the rebuilt rar doesn't show a DOMdocument anyway.
I'm now also tried creatinga new .fla. and turning it into a zip to gain access to the DOMdocument and library. I'm doing the same with my corrupt file.
I'm trying to transfer library items from the corrupt file into a new file. When I zip it back and change it to a .fla, CS6 refuses to open the new .fla file.
Is it ok to just change the extension in finder (I'm on mac) or do I need to do it through some other dev software?

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I can't find the reset firefox command button - even after trying the menu and the trouble-shooting page as per the directions.

I want to reset firefox but all I get to after following the directions in Mozilla support is every more descriptions/explanations of what the commands mean. But I never get to the actual command 'reset firefox'. Where is it?

The Reset button usually is in the upper right corner of the page in its own little box. Missing?

Firefox continually hangs even after trying the solutions listed here, and in other sites, and I can't find any common link to pinpoint what is causing it.

I love Firefox but I may have no choice but to try Chrome instead. Over the past couple of weeks the version of Firefox I have installed on my Lenovo Edge 15 latop (which is the most current version of Firefoxc), hangs several times an hour, for approx a minute each time. I have tried to locate the cause of the problem by eliminating the websites I commonly visit, but it seems that it does not matter what website I visit, it continues to happen. I have even tried loading Firefox in safe mode and it still makes no difference. And this problem is only affecting Firefox, and none of my other programs are affected. I have used resource monitor to try and locate the problem and, when this problem occurs, Firefox is reported as taking up 25% of CPU consumption. I am using Windows 7.

I have a Mac and have tried the suggestion above with the places.sqlite but it DID NOT HELP! FIREFOX IS STILL HANGING!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been a real fan of firefox for several years, but lately it's just plain annoying!!! I have to force quit FF several times a day. How do I revert to CS6 after trying the extended version and not buying.

I tried the CS6 extended version and decided not to buy it. Now I cannot open my own registered CS6 software. Clicking on the CS6 icon brings up the expired trial dialog box and unless I buy, it closes the software. CS6 extended is not listed as a program that can be uninstalled. Seems as though I've been hijacked! I tried to find the answer by using the chat contact resource but they told me I needed to try the forums.

Does it show as activated under Help?
The only difference between Extended and Non-Extended is a serial number. The actual software is the same. I'd suggest simply reinstalling, but I'm guessing that you did not deactivate your original CS6 before switching the Extended Trial?
It might be that you will need to contact Customer support, and explain what has happened, and ask them to reset your Activations. Wait a bit though, in case a better idea comes along.

Windows Explorer was crashing/restarting every few seconds and after trying several different methods of fixes, the only one that worked was removing Firefox, is there something I've missed that I can get Firefox back?

I'm running a Toshiba Satellite laptop that was originally running Windows Vista 32-bit, but was upgraded by me to Windows 7 32-bit. On Windows Vista, all I would run was Firefox. I loved it!!! On Windows 7, I've noticed that Firefox kept hanging whenever I would try to download a file...from anywhere. I got so frustrated I went to try several different browsers. They all worked extremely quickly, whereas Firefox was working so slow, I could click on a link to a page, go get some lunch, come back and it still be trying to load the page. This was drastically unusual for Firefox. I used the other browsers and everything was fine for a week and then Windows Explorer started going down every few seconds. I went to the windows 7 forums and started looking. There were several suggestions on how to fix the problem, none of which worked for my compy. I tried restarting the compy in safe mode. That didn't help. I turned off every startup program except for the essentials and that DID work in keeping Windows Explorer from restarting. I then dove into the tedious task of trying to discern which 3rd party program was the offender. I removed everything from my compy that had been downloaded in the last ten days (well before the windows explorer issue, but not before the firefox issue). That didn't work either. I tried replacing an explorer file, which didn't work either. There were several other things I tried, as well, but nothing worked. Then, I saw a post that Firefox had caused the problem for one person. I went in and did as was suggested and completely removed Firefox and all associated files. Unfortunately, this worked. I haven't had any more trouble with windows explorer restarting. My big problem is, however, I can't run Firefox!!! And I LOVE Firefox!!! It's spoiled me! I hate Internet explorer, which is what I'm forced to run now. I've tried Safari and Google Chrome and don't like either one of those, either. I want my Firefox back! But if it's not working 100% it's less frustrating to be forced to live with the Internet Explorer. I'm going insane, here! Does anyone have any suggestions? I tried clearing out browser history, changing download files and a couple of other things and nothing worked with the Firefox to get it going better before I started having the Windows Explorer difficulty and had to completely erase the Firefox program. If I've missed any info, please don't hesitate to ask!! I'm happy to supply whatever I know about the issue!!

uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. My imac would noy start, not even after trying the unplugging or the alt-command-P-R. It makes a sound but the screen stays black.

you can try boot in single user mode by hold at start up CMD-S key on keyboard ,see if a comande line interface is show on screen
try use D key on start up see if Apple Hardware Test is launch
try plug an external display if you can
try boot with ALT key see if bootmanager is show
if none of thouse methode show anything on screen your imac probably need to be screen serviced

I can't empty the trash I have three different versions of Quicken Essentials that should have been deleted and also some iskysoft apps [two ]. I tries to delete them but I always get a -8003 error. I ve tried using the terminal with both the sudo and chflags methods. No effect. Can anyone give a method that would work to delete the five? In advanced appreciation.

I tried this and it worked:
1) Visit My Apple ID at https://appleid.apple.com/.
2) Click the Manage your account link on the right sideof the page.
3) Enter the account name (Apple ID) and the password you used when creating the account.
4) Change the email address associated with your account.
5) Send new verification email

Please follow these steps to access your Apple ID accountinformation:

My ipod touch 4th gen has got discharged and is not working even though i have kept it on charging and have also tried the reset method by pressing the home and power on/off button together..what else can i do to start it? please tell !!

- Have you tried anther cable and charging soruce?
- Have you connected the iPod to yur computer? If iTunes sees the iPod, restore the iPod via iTunes-
- Next see if see if placing the iPod in recovery mode will allow iTunes to see the iPod so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
- Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

After trying the updater I get a please quit the Adobe Crash Daemon!

And of course i have no idea where it resides. I continue to get the message even after restarting. Help!

I kept experiencing the same issue when I ran the updater via the bridge and selected more than one program at a time. I resolved it by selecting each update individually. Weird. But everything updated.

What to do after trying like all methods of deleting Blackberry Messenger!! HELP ASAP!!

Ok so basically, i am trying to delete bbm. I went to application management in options went to it and pressed delete as it was in the process of deleting my phone dropped and my battery fell out, so i put my battery back in and started my phone up again. BBM was still on my phone and running normally so i went back to delete it again and it wasnt there on my applications list i then went onto blackberry desktop manager and it wasnt on there to delete either. HELP!!!!

If it's not in your Applications list, it shouldn't be still installed on your phone.
One thing you can do is hide the icon so you don't see it on your homescreen. To do that, highlight the BBM icon with your cursor then press the menu key and select Hide.

Firefox crashes within a few minutes of being on Internet. Most Web pages crash. I need to open multiple tabs to work, and it always crashes soon after I start to work. You can try to disable BD extensions or check advanced settings for Firefox in BD.
