REP-0108 when running report

I have the report runtime installed and working, but when I try to run a report I get the REP-0108, "File not found" error. No matter which report I try to run it complains about the same file. The file it can't find is "rwbdexpq.res". What are the .RES files and why can't the runtime find it? If we do a developer installation we don't get this problem. Even after this error, the report still runs.

The .res files are the resource files that you can change via Oracle Terminal to set key mappings.
If a user is not finding the file when running a report, then find where they are in the ORACLE_HOME for the install where you can run reports, and then copy those files to the same directory on the PC's that cannot run the reports. I think the directory is something like ORACLE_HOME/report60/admin/resource/US, but a file find will tell you for sure.

NLS_LANG: Traditional Chinese_Taiwan.ZHT16MSWIN950 , then it is a known problem. There is a bug 2332838 filed for this issue.

REP-1247 when running Report

Hi,
I am trying to run reports in Application Server 10.1.2.0.2. When I try to run any report using the 'rdf', I get the error " Terminated with error: <br>REP-771: There exist uncompiled program unit(s). REP-1247: Report contains uncompiled PL/SQL "
The problem occurs if I first try to run a report after rebooting the reports server. But the problem disappears if I run the report again. Running the same reports in Oracle 6i works always fine.
Could someone help me solve this issue.

Hi,
I searched in internal knowledge database but could not find any problem like yours which is very generic.
There were some specific issues which occurred for specific type of reports, but in your case it happens for all rep files with PUs.
1) Is it occurring for all reports or some specific types of report ?.
2) Is there an attached library (.pll file) to your report ? If yes , then its location (.pll file's location) should be in REPORTS_PATH env variable (in registry for windows, env variable for unix)
3) Silly suggestion, but to make sure, there should be an active DB connection
Other than this I suggest you to get in touch with oracle support to handle this issue (if you have a support contract)

REP-1352 when running web reports in character mode on linux server

Hi
After migration from 6i to 10g we have problems when we run reports in character mode on a linux (Red Hat Enterprise 4) application server (10.1.2.0.2).
The error REP-1352 occurs with any NLS_LANG or report's font setup. Original report's font is Courier New (Occidental) and NLS_LANG=FRENCH_FRANCE.WE8ISO8859P1.
I created a new simple report in character mode with font Courier New and it is generated successfully.
Witch migration step could I apply to avoid this error ?

I didn't precise that reports failed to be executed with desformat=delimited but succeded with desformat=pdf.

Error when running Report

I've a problem when run the report.
I get the error like below:
Rep-0108:File 'C:\orawin95\report60\rwbdexpq.res' not found.
Are you solve this error before? I already check the file and I found that is missing for the first time then I copy the file from the other machine.but same message still apear.
This only hanppend when the PC is newly install of my application from my installation disk.

I had an similar error, because I developed the form/report.. with an updated version of developer but forgot to update the users runtime module; when I installed the patch on the users pc everything went fine;
I tried at first also to copy the missing file, which didn't help at all;

Error when running reports on the WEB

Hi,
I have been successful in deploying our application on the Web,
using WebDB listener, Developer Server, Report Server and JInitiator 1.1.7.18.
Now the forms on the web runs fine without any problem but
when I run Reports from Forms using RUN_PRODUCT built-in by passing parameters from Forms to Reports it generates this following error: REP-0081-Error During I/O operation and REP-0110: Unable to open file "<<file>>.html" scaba 14.
The strange thing about the REP-0110 is, it refer to a path that is not defined in my registry(FORMS60_OUTPUT,_MAPPING, REPORTS60_PATH,_TMP,_WEBLOC,_WEBLOC_TRANSLATED) and neither my physical directory in the directory mappings which I defined on the web server. (I refer to a the path mindpack4.1 and the REP-0110 refer to mindpack4_1)
Any help appreciated.

Getting rep-3002 when calling report from form on web

i am getting rep-3002 when i call report from a form on web environment. Report is in character mode. It is coming proper if i change it to bitmap. but my requirement is of character mode. pl. give some solution.

If you are running in WinNT/2000 environment, the NT/2000 user which runs the Report Server service must have a printer defined. In the control panel, look at the properties for the Report Server to see what user it runs as. Log in as that user and make sure a default printer is defined.

Error when run report 10g (10.1.2.0.2) with Paper parameter form

I just installed Developer suite 10g and Database 10g on my pc (10.1.2.0.2) when I run report in Report builder with paper parameter form (I selected only one system parameter : Destination type) I got the message

I chose SUSE 10.3 as its free and I want to set up apps server for purely training purposes. Do you know of a free linux OS that is certified to run AS 10g 10.1.2.0.2?

One guess, while running on an other database check any of the parameter which you are passing is having single quote in the value. If so, then remove the single quote and try to run report again.

ORA-44356 when running report from Oracle Application Server 10g

All,
We have some reports that we developed using Reports Builder 10g. We use a few program units that run with every record that use the exec_sql package to run dynamic sql in a remote database. Everything runs fine when we test the reports in Reports Builder. After we compile the reports into the .rep format and place them on our Oracle Application Server 10g portal instance, we are running into the subject error when we try to run the report from the website. From the research that I've done, it seems that this error has to do with the use of exec_sql, but there is not too much info on the web regarding this error number. Running a trace when running the report in Reports Builder doesn't show any errors, and to further complicate things, this error only occurs on some reports...others that use the exec_sql package work fine.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this might be happening?

Nothing is different between the reports in the exec_sql section. The strange part is that the reports will bomb out seemingly at random, at different times, and during the execution of different program units. I was able to find a work-around using DB Links, but I'd rather not use the DB Link if I can avoid it.

Error when running reports: "File Server needs to be re-initialized"

This error "File Server needs to be re-initialized" appears when our users try to run reports on 11.5.10. EBS.
There is also a message box that appears and reads:
"A error occurred while attempting to establish a conection to Application File Server. There may be a network configuration problem, or the TNS listener may not be running."
This is a problem in our test environment. We recently ran autoconfig on the test side.
I have checked Metalink and also wider google search.
Perhaps we have an issue with the tnsnames files? Well, I verified this and the tnsnames in production and test, and they are the same.
Perhaps a listener.ora file issue?
"The issue is caused by the variables APPLFSTT and APPLFSWD is not being set properly in the <8.0.6_ORACLE_HOME> listener.ora file. " (Note 263654.1)

But I am in the middle of a cloning, so I will finish that then run autoconfig once again.
I already ran Autoconfig on both source and target, so will do again once this process is over.

Proxy error when running reports in Infoview

We are running XI 3.1 sp4 and are getting a Proxy error on some reports when running in PDF mode. Any ideas?

It seems that the reverse proxy you are using: Apache could have problems with the sessions of the users. I have seen the same behaviour with other Load Balancers. If you have different WAS in the backend, make sure they stay with the same WAS (session affinity).
