Replace Votingdisk configuration

Hey, as I described in post
Re: OCR Disk - change from external to normal redundancy
I changed my ocr disk configuration in 11gR2 from asmdiskgroup OCR to OCR1
But the votingsdisks havent changed. So before I recon this, I deleted the disk information with the dd command.
At the moment my cluster is not starting anymore. How can I replace the votingdisks information ? Its a two node cluster.
Any way to start the cluster in exclusive mode and change the disks from ocr to ocr1 ?

[CS5] replacement for Configure Plug-ins

It appears that the (truly terrible, at least on the Mac) Adobe Extension Manager (AEM) CS5 is supposed to be the replacement for the "Configure Plug-ins" dialog and the Porting Guide does briefly talk about using it to Deploy plug-ins.
However, if I install my plug-in(s) without using AEM using an alias or directly into the Plug-ins folder then it doesn't appear in AEM at all. This particular plug-in doesn't have a UI so need for my support people to see at least a version number.
Can anyone point to some documentation on how to make your plug-ins appear in the AEM list?
It also doesn't appear that the Debug version of InDesign even appears in the AEM list of applications.

We aren't going to force our users to have to deploy using Adobe Extensions Manager and all of the InDesign plug-ins appear there. Maybe I just need to start looking at what they are doing to figure out what is going on.
Thanks for the suggestion though, that is essentially what I did yesterday as a workaround.

Roll back configure replace firewall configuration

I have been working on ASA's for a will and when I need to revert back to the startup configuration I always need to reboot the ASA since copy run start just over writes the run. I seen that there is a configure replace command but with my 5525x running 9.2.1 I do not have the option:

Is there something I need to do to enable this?

Copy off a configuration you want to revert to to the local disk0: - i.e.:
copy run disk0:/good-config.txt
Then you can use it to copy over the running-config at any time:
copy disk0:/good-config.txt run
You can similarlyuse a network-based location and tftp but that depends on reachability to the store location.

Blocked field in Sales Order when using configurable materials

Hi everyone,
I have noticed that every time I insert a configurable material in a Sales Order Line, after pressing ENTER and having valuated the associated characteristics, the Material and Position Type fields stay blocked so I cannot change the material in this position.
According to the process I am implementing, I would need in certain cases to change the material (replacing the configurable for a non-configurable one).
I would be very grateful if someone could help me to avoid that these fields get blocked or at least to know the reason.

I don't have any experience with configurable materials, but it seems that in this case you'll need to delete the line (or the lines) and re-enter them with the proper type of material.

Variant configuration u2013 availability check for Configurable material

We are doing the variant configuration scenario for one of our client. We are using planning strategy as 25 (sales order with variant configuration).
When we configure the Configurable material at sales order level, we wanted to check the availability check of Configurable for the combination of selected characteristics.
How we can configure it in the system.

Hi,
availability check will work as per the checking group you had defined in system.
additionaly you need to put tick in configuration profile for availability check.
checking for material varient is optional, if your bussiness has materail varients you can activate type matching and while configuring the sales order if the values of charactersticks matches system will suggest you the the appropiate varient and you can replace your configurable material in sales order with it.

If you need some more information please explain what exactly your are expecting from system during availability check.

Is there any alternatives to Configurator for creating custom Photoshop panels?

I've been using Configurator for quite some time now in order to improve my workflow; having custom panels is huge to me.
So I was surprised that Adobe decided to stop supporting flash panels, starting with version CC 2014. I want to update Photoshop to CC 2014 but am unable to do so due to my custom panels (which DOES NOT work in said version!!): I would be handicapping myself by upgrading the software.
I've looked around for alternatives, but so far I haven't found any decent replacement to Configurator for creating HTML5-based panels. I know about PsTools but it appears to be limited to Tools only, and I need to both create a custom toolbar as well as custom panels for my most used filters and selection -actions. Also I know there's an API for creating HTML5 panels now, but I'm a 3D Artist - not a C++ programmer.
So what exactly are the alternative here?

Configured material(Material Variants) with VC multi-level configuration

Hi experts,
I have a question about VC, VC can be a multi-level configuration, and it can be configuration level by level in sales order, this configurable material replace by a configured material(Material Variants ) . however I can only config the first level in Material Variants(MM02 MRP3; the configrable material is a multi-level)! how to solve it?
If we can not multi level config the VC materil in the configured material, how can it replace the configurable material in sales order?

You can do straight away also without user exit .
There is feature called Variant Matching in Variant configuration. If you can go throgh this and do the step by step configuration and in configuration profile setting you have to set Variant matching Indicator , then Make the Exclusion characterstics ,
With all the steps , Once the Configurable material is configured in Sales order if it finds the variant matched with the existing variant in the system , then Config Material will be replaced by Material Variant as a line item in the sales order.

How to measure two frequency simultaniously in a PCI 6014

Hi I am measuring RPM of two gear drives by measuring the pulse/second(Measure frequency.vi). I have interlinked the gate of counter1 to the output of counter2. Similarly I have connected the gate of counter2 to output of counter1. to measure frequency.
This way in a cycle one counter acts as gate counter while the other counter counts and later the counters changes their role.But my problem is that I have to measure the two counters frequencies simultaniously.
I cannot do period measurement becasue I have several irregular pulse widths generated in each cycle.
I am currrently experimenting with mesure period(DAQ-STC).vi. I have the following doubts in this VI.
1)Can I replaced source configuration fr
om internal timebase to external PFI source signal.
2)If I replace my source signal from internal timebase to the pulse generated from my gear drive then would at the end of 1 sec (when the counter is disarmed due to change of trigger signal state and hence end of while loop) will the count attribute contain the count of my ttl edges?
3) Would this be a accurate method for measuring frequency simultanuiously without using two counters?

The best way to perform this is to use the frequency generator (freqout) of your 601x board. Your board only has 2 counters but it also has a frequency generator that doesn't use the counters. It is an output found on the freqout pin. You can choose to have a frequency of 10 MHz or 100 kHz divided by any integer between 1 and 16. This means you can create a pulse train of known frequency and known period and use that into the source or gate of your two counters depending on the frequency measurement method you are using.
For example, assuming your two signals are much faster than the freqout signal, you can apply the freqout signal to the gate of a counter and have your signal feed the source. The number of counts you get in 1 pulse
width of the gate (which is known since it is the frequency you generated) will determine the frequency of your signal.
Otherwise, if your signal is much slower than 20 MHz, you can simply use the 20 MHz as the source of the counters and perform a simple period measurement on your signal. You would then take the inverse of your period measurement.
Anyway, using the onboard frequency generator will give you the flexibility you need. I have linked below a useful tutorial describing the 3 typical frequency measurements. Hope that helps. Have a good day.

Writing files to other computers on network

I'm trying to build a tool that replaces a configuration file on several computers (PCs) on a network. I've been browsing through some documents and it seems like all I need to do is to provide the UNC pathname when I'm reading and writing. I haven't had a chance to try this yet, but I believe this is correct. But would it possible to run a tool from a UNIX box and manipulate files on PC's on the same network?

If you have a Windows network then JCIFS should work for this. I use it for transferring files between IBM iSeries and Windows machines.
And as for the UNC path idea, that would work provided the user ID on the "central" computer was allowed to sign on to all of the "other" computers. Otherwise you would have to provide a user ID and password, and I don't know if you can do that in a UNC path. However JCIFS does allow for that.

Material Variant Matching in Sales Order Creation with ref.to Sales Order

We are working in Variant configuration.Our product is defined at PQD(Product, Quality & Dimension).
But, Sales Contracts are created at PQ (Product, Quality/Grade ) level only.
We have defined Variant Characteristics GRADE(ALLOY CODE),DIMENSION AND TWO MATERIALS.
MAT 1 , configurable material.
MAT 2, A Material Variant of MAT 1, Having values of GRADE = A & DIMENSION = 150 in MRP 3 view of the same.
When a Sales Order is created for MAT 1 and its characteristics values are GRADE = A, DIMENSION = 150, Material Variant type matching happens & it replaces the configurable material.
Similarly,Sales Contract is created for Configurable material MAT 1, with only GRADE = A ( As mentioned above, only quality is known at contract creation level).But, when we are trying to creart a Sales Order with reference to this Contract, we are trying to punch characteristic Value for DIMENSION = 150 also. At this stage, Materuial Variant MAT 2 is shown, but it is not replacing MAT 1.
Is this the standard behaviour or there is some solution/enhancement available.

in incompletion procedure we can arrange to check whether any field is empty, here data comparison is not possible.
As far as I know you can not achieve this through standard config.
To achieve your requirement, you will need to take help of an ABAPer, it can be achieved using Userexit.
ABAPer can use include MV45AFZZ
and Userexit ""USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT".
the code written in this userexit will check and compare the quantities before saving the dcument.
Logic if quantity enter is greater than the quantity mentioned in Contract show warning Message.

No bad sector on hdd, the memory is good (I checked with memtest).
Clean windows install with updates, no other software just photoshop with updates, latest nvidia and asus drivers.
The size of the file which I currently editing is 500MB+ (photoshop say this).
If the machine is so weak it would be worth it to replace this configuration?
CPU: Intel Core i5 or i7
Motherboard: Asus P8H77-V LE
Memory: 16GB (4x4GB) 1333Mhz Kingston
VGA: remain or entry level quadro card

How to solve environment change

Hi,I have one question that is if I changed my environment from develop environment to test environment and then to product environment, how can I maintain my source code?
Example: I have 5 services as BPEL parterlink, all of them in one mechine, one endpoint, but now I changed my BEPL to another machine, I will change BEPL source code to change the 5 sevices's address and then redeploy my BPEL program, yes? So I think it's hard to maintains in this circumstance.
Any idea to solve this?

Basically the changes that come in during deployment are the hostname and port numbers based on the environment being deployed to.
If there are any shared XSD files, these too might come up for replacement based on how the XSD are deployed.
Deployment plan will do the trick for search and replace in configurations, partnerlink bindings, wsdl and schema files.

Unity 7.0.2 ADSchemaSetup Fails on 64-Bit OS

I'm installing Unity 7.0.2 and when running the ADSchemaSetup.exe on the Schema Master I recieve the error:
ADSchemaSetup can only be executed on a server running a supported 32-bit version of Windows.
The AD environment is Windows 2008 on 64-bit hardware w/64-bit OS.
Have any of you been able to get past this?

Thank you for the speedy response. TAC has advised of the following. Your ldifde command suggestion was spot on with thier findings. Not being that confident in my syntax abilities and the supportability of them we are opting to install a 32-bit OS and tranfer the schema master role to it for this procedure.

Some users have had troubles generating a log file, and left out the -j and had it then run through fine.
