Report 6i Arabic Date alignment problem in Windows 7

Hi
We have 6i Forms and Report and wanna run in windows 7. But we found arabic Date disaplay problem in reports. As you know arabic writting from right. But date display like 21/10/1431 and I wanna like 1431/10//21.
I tried from regional setting and change date format from report. but this is problem from system it self,
not accept right alignment. Even I install left to right patch (KB979643-x86).
Please Help
Thanks

Like others have said you need to run the bootcamp installer to install the drivers.
The time issue was a constant annoyance rebooting with OSX and my old XP bootcamp setup but it's gone with Windows 7 once you set your time to UTC format in the date and time properties instead of local time which OSX uses and XP couldn't support.

I'm using SQL developer to migrate from SQL server 2005 database (whose encoding is Arabic) to and Oracle database (whose encoding is UTF16). The arabic data are migrated successfully but appear as ?????? marks. Is there a way to migrate the data successfully?
    thx all

We are using 3 data base for the appllication developed in java.
One of our common table containing all the country location ( post code / zip ) details. Problem is that this details are insert to the data base using SQL*PUS or Sql command line available while installing oracle 10g / 10g express data base.
But when we run sql script with special characters like МП Летище Бургас ( Bulgarien )
    INSERT INTO beoatlas2.OPTION(LANGUAGE,VERSION,TYPE,module,CODE,description,bemerkung,description2,description3) VALUES('DE','SCPRLD','122','ALL','BG001002','МП Летище Бургас','','','ext');
    or Β΄ ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟΝΙΚΗΣ ( Griechenland - greece )
    INSERT INTO beoatlas2.OPTION(LANGUAGE,VERSION,TYPE,module,CODE,description,bemerkung,description2,description3) VALUES('DE','SCPRLD','122','ALL','GR002002',N'Β΄ ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟΝΙΚΗΣ','','','ext');
it returns as ?????? marks . i set NLS_LANG to AL32UTF8 using command set NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8
then also it displaying as ???????
I need to insert these details properly in Linux and windows Os using sql command line .
Any sujections are appreciated . Its very urgent .

  • Report with Arabic Data - Export to PDF

    Hi,
I am using crystal report 2008 ( version: 12.0.0.683), The database is SQL Server 2005, connected to the database using OLE DB.
Most of my data are in ARABIC language including Tashkeelia (تنوين, Means dots, arabic formatting letters by pressing shift Key).
I can View all the data including these formatting letters by previewing or even from the application. Everything ok.
But when I export these reports to PDF by using Crystal report export engine, some additional letters are appearing in the report, and mostly spaces are converted to other letters. If I am exporting by using ADOBE PDF writter ( Printer version) all are OK.
Please tell me how can solve this issue ?
    Regards,
    Riyas

    Hello Riyas
    From your description I am not sure if this happening in the Crystal Reports designer, or from a .NET app (this forums is for .NET apps). In any case. The first thing you want to do is ensure you have the latest fixes for CR 2008. Service Pack 2 is here;
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100009038092009E/cr2008win_sp2.exe
    Then, apply Fix Pack 2.4:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100001024152010E/cr2008_fp24.zip
    This will get yo the latest updates. If that does not help and the issue is in the CR designer, please post your query to the Report Design forum;

    Hi ,
    - When I built a report using report builder and click run paper layout icon, all retrieved Arabic and English data , labels, Header and Titles appear fine also font properties( font, size, bold) appear fine.
But when click run web layout icon for the same report ,
    - all Arabic retrieved data appears ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? .
    - Arabic labels appear fine.
    - Headers and Titles didn’t appear at all .
    - All font properties( font, size, bold) don’t appear , I used many fonts like (Times New Roman, Arabic Transparent, Arial,…)
    - NLS_Lang in registry= american_america.ar8mswin1256 which supports English and Arabic languages.
And I can insert and retrieve Arabic and English data from SQL+ and iSQL , so I feel that settings of NLS_Lang and

<p>This issue can be  solved when you create the reports without needing to write any extra code.  I haven&#39;t tested this solution because I don&#39;t have any data to test it against.</p><p>First you want to make sure that you are using a UNICODE font which I&#39;m sure you are probably already doing.  Then to configure the "Right to Left" you can right click on any field and select "Format Text" or "Format Field".  You should see a "Paragraph" tab.  In there you can set the content to be "Left to Right" or "Right to Left".  The button on the right allows you to make this setting conditional on a parameter value or something like that.  I hope this helps. </p><p>Rob Horne<br /><a href="/blog/10">Rob&#39;s blog - http://diamond.businessobjects.com/blog/10</a></p>

  • Arabic data from Sybase database fails to display correctly in Crystal Reports XI

    Post Author: shajad
    CA Forum: Crystal Reports
In Crystal Reports XI, reports created with a ODBC (SQL server) connection to a Sybase data source fails to show Arabic data correctly. Arabic data is stored in Sybase under character set Windows-1256, but fails to display as Arabic in Crystal Reports 10. Some junk values like 'ÕæÑÉÇáÓÌá ÇáÊÌÇÑí ÓÇÑíÉÇáãÝÚæá'  appears in the report.
How can I resolve this issue? Please help me with a solution.

    Hi Raju
Please let us know the following information:
    - Exact version of Crystal Reports.
    - The type and the version of the database.
    - Connection i.e. ODBC, OLEDB or Native used to connect your database with Crystal Reports.
    - Are you able to create and refresh newly created report using the same database?
    - If you are using ODBC connection, please download the SQLCON32 test utility and try to fetch the data from the database using the query from the "Show SQL" from Crystal Reports and let us know the outcome.
    Hope this helps!

It could be a no. of problems. You are not getting the right data out of the request.
you donot have the fonts on your machine.
the jsp as somebody has mentioned is not using utf-8 encoding.
But to be sure try printing out the hex values of the String name and see if you are gettig the right hex values of are you getting 3f?
If you are getting 3f then it means that you are not able to retrieve the data correctly from the request.
You could also try doing a snoop in that case to see if the data was sent correctly.

when i run the above procedure, error displays that table already exists ora-31684
    but from the
    impdp include=table table_exists_action=replace
i am able to do it.
can u suggest what iam missing.
    Regards

I will try to explain a little better using screenshots. This screenshot is from windows :
    http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/1714/windowspg.jpg
At the top is says 'date taken' and ANY windows photo library software will sort it by this date. Below are the properties of the same file after it's copied to osx :
    http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/6345/screenshot20100322at145.png
It contains lots of information about the picture but not when it was taken. So software such as iphoto or picasa sorts it by it's created date (which you can see at the top is Monday 12th January).
Why isn't OSX carrying over the exif data on when the photo was taken ? I can't see any iphoto options to sort by that date.

  • Truncating arabic data/text when deployed on 10gAS, where as Eng is Ok

    DETAILS:
When I run a report using report builder everything is fine. But when I deploy that same report on Application server & when I run from browser, the arabic data in the report is getting truncated ! where as English text/data is ok.
To solved this problem I have to expand each text / item in report builder. But why with arabic only? And how the report is working fine when run using Report Builder? For some reports even after expanding still gets truncated while deployed on Application server.
I think the FIX is around PDF. when report is deployed on AS, then output is generated in PDF & then above problem is encountered. Where as executed in Report Builder, output is generated in previewer which is fine.
    please help
Edited by: Mubeen on Mar 18, 2009 2:56 AM

I have experiecnce with this problem... and unfortunatly ther's not solution.
Some trigger (like when-mouse-enter or when-mouse-live) don't work with form deployed on web. I suppose that these triggers are not supported in deployd on web because the "client" browser shuld be constantly comunicate with the runtime engine.

  • "error Report" "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close" HELP!!

every time i try to load itunes i get this message
"error Report" "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close". i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. i tried removing quicktime through my control pannel and then reinstalling. ive tried running scans and pretty much anything else i can think of. at this point i might just return the ipod. anyone have any ideas.

Have you tried uninstalling Quicktime? If not try that. If you are still having problems then do this.
    1. Uninstall both iTunes and Quicktime.
    2. Delete the folders iTunes and Quicktime where installed in.
    3. Reboot.
    4. Delete C:\Documents and Settings\<<Your User ID>>\Application Data\Apple Computer\
    5. Delete C:\Documents and Settings\<<Your User ID>>\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple Computer
    6. Delete if in your My Documents folder there is a folder called My Music with a folder in it called iTunes. Delete or rename the iTunes folder.
    7. Reboot.
    8. Turn off all anti virus and firewall software.
    9. Re-install iTuens.
If you still get an error after that your Windows install is hosed. You will need to format and re-install it first.
