Report, Form, and Data Component portlets go to error page

I am able to add Report Form and Data Component portlets to my page, but when I click on the define button it takes me to my error page.
Have I missed configuring something?

i m using command noe after table node in main window, but i want display the data below the main window , it is diplaying new page as required but only missing data below the main window.
to be more clear i want to print all the window in first page then only go for next page , so is there any condition or parmeter in main window to go next page only agfter completion of first page.

Difference between data form and data grids

Can anybody tell me what is the difference between data form and data grid.

data forms have restricted access. user can not access all the dimension and members, based on his role and authentication can access the form.
data grid r used for calculation, currency translation and coslidation and it consists of menu of options for diffrent consolidation based on cell status.
data grid can have line item information, description and cell status information.

Print form and data

Acrobat 8 Pro, Am trying to print form and the data that has been completd in the form.
Prints blank. Have flattened form but data just disappears. Hav tried using Photoshop
same result. Macbook Pro OSX 10.8.2 intel.
Can any one assit with this as it seems to be an obvious problem from www research
with a less than obvious solution.

You should be able to see the data currency when you run in the web - which method are you using - BEx or Web...?
2.) What are the reason why the performance of my BW Report is slow?
It could be due to anything - please search the forums for the same on how to identify possible performance bottlenecks

It depends - Missing data loads etc etc
4.) Why is my BW Report have incorrect data?
You should be knowing that...? I can just say that it has incorrect data because ...." The sun rises in the east...".!!! more akin to asking "Why did the chicken cross the road"

You should ask SAP that question...
Honestly I am not sure what the reason behind such generic questions are.... if you are looking for answers - then you need to be more specific - if these are more like Interview Questions asked to you - I guess you should be able to answer them or ask further questions to clarify the question further....

Problem with update form and date (show 1970-01-01)

Hi, I've a update form (php/mysql) with many date input field. When my date is 000-00-00 I show 1970-01-01. Why??

Why would the date ever be null? As long as the date has a non-zero, non-null value this function will work correctly.
I'm a little confused by what you are doing here. So, you are pulling data from a table, and populating forms with it. This particular field is a date field, and the problem is that when the data for that field is a null, you are getting instead a date of 1970-01-01 displayed in that field - is that correct? What do you want to appear there when the data is null? Nothing?

How to create a submit by email button that emails the FORM AND DATA

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 8. I've created a fillable form that can be fillable and saved in Adobe reader. How do I add a submit by email button that will send me the form with the data? Right now I am only getting the data. I need the form with the data.

When you set up a submit form action, you have the option of choosing the form data (FDF, XFDF, HTML) or the complete PDF. Choose the latter. For this to work with Reader (prior to 11), the document has to be Reader-enabled, which you do by selecting: Advanced > Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader

i am using DS.10g R2 and Database 11g R2 and i have two printers one shared printer and one default printer.
My Question is.. when i want to print report on Shared printer then i need to choose printer name from printer properties
and then print but when i print report on default printer so the printer is showing the Shared printer in
printer properties how can i set the Default printer always to show me in properties?

for the default printer you have to check on Display report because i am not sure there
is any setup for this...Yes you can try to set one printer as default and another leave it as it as...
try to print on shared printer first and close the report
then try to print again to check the printer properties is set to default one or not?

Opening Region, Page and Business Component XML causes unusual errors.

I'm a bit new to extending E-Business Suite, so apologies if this is a bit unclear.
1. I have set up JDeveloper according to the docs and that seems OK
2. I have copied the entire oracle/apps/icx java tree from $JAVA_TOP
3. I have exported all /oracle/apps/icx PG and RN xml files
Now when I try and open a PG.xml I get a load of the following errors:
Invalid value "/oracle/apps/icx/lov/webui/UnNumberLovRN" for property "External LOV" on component "/oracle/apps/icx/por/req/webui/CheckoutSummaryPG.UnNumber". Component "/oracle/apps/icx/lov/webui/UnNumberLovRN" cannot be referenced from "/oracle/apps/icx/por/req/webui/CheckoutSummaryPG.UnNumber" because it violates scope restrictions.
I also have a problem importing Business Components. When right click on the jpx and select "Import Business Components", then select my server.xml file, I get the following error:
"Unable to import package. This is not a valid Business Components XML file."
Am I doing this wrong or is there something afoot?
I am using JDeveloper: 9.0.3.5 Build 1312 from the patch
We are on 11.5.10.1 plus some patches.

you can ignore the warnings you get for the page xml files.
You need to mention which version of jdev are you using ? Did you try opening the server.xml directly ?

When I try to get into google , bing, and yahoo search, the page tries to load up and then I get a diagnostic error page. This only happens with the big search engines

Difference between Data Grid and Data Forms

What is the difference between data grid and data forms.

Data entry forms are pre defined and are generally used to manually input data into reporting (financial statement) schedules.
They can also be used for reviewing purposes and it gives users a presentable / and consistent format to view data in Hyperion.
Data grids are the equivalent of pivot tables in excel. It should be used for ad hoc purposes to view / analyse data in whatever form you choose. The user has the flexibility to choose what they see in the rows, columns and page dimensions.
One of the main differences between data entry forms and data grids is that you can’t export data grids to excel whereas you can with data entry forms. Other differences are:
1. Run consolidation, translation, promotion from data grids but not in data entry forms.
2. You can link other data entry forms to a data entry form
3. Data entry forms offer greater formatting options than in data grids i.e. colours, fonts, bold, italics.
At the end of the day, they are similar and there is no reason why you can’t have (use) both. It all depends on your local needs on how best you use both.

So I understand that we can get all the (portal) functionality of Portal 10.1.4 by upgrading the application server from 10.1.2.0.0 to 10.1.2.1.0. But I'm curious what is the application server functionality that one gets with 10.1.2.0.2 and not with 10.1.2.1.0? Is it (just) Reports, Forms and Bi Beans?
I'd love a link to someplace that states this explicitly.
