Report reflecting the Age of the service request with respesct to the Regio
Hi,
Is there a way we could create a report that outputs the following table :
Age (Days) South Central North
90+ 21 1 1
60 - 79 2 32 2
30-59 2 3 2
10-29 1 2 4
1-09 1 1 1
What we are trying to do it is to create a report that shows that how many SR are open of certain age at each region. E.g. that how many SRs , with the age >90 are open and for which region.
Note : Age = Diff between SR open Date and Current Date
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Ahmed
Hi, something like this can help you
CASE
WHEN (TimestampDiff(SQL_TSI_DAY,"Date Closed".Date,"Date Opened".Date) >90) THEN 'AGE > 90'
WHEN (TimestampDiff(SQL_TSI_DAY,"Date Closed".Date,"Date Opened".Date) > 59 AND TimestampDiff(SQL_TSI_DAY,"Date Closed".Date,"Date Opened".Date) < 91) THEN 'AGE 60 - 90'
ELSE 'Nothing'
END

Service Request with Object Reference filled-out automatically
Hi CRM experts,
I'm trying to understand how is possible (if exist a customizing way) to filled-out automatically the Reference Object of the Service Request.
Process steps:
First, I have to search for the Ibase component and confirm it; then I have to search for the Account related and confirm it also. Then I'd like to create the Service Request with the Account and the Ibase component filled-out automatically.
For the Account I solved the issue by assigning the Partner Function to the Business Transaction.
Any suggestions for the Ibase component?
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Andrea.Hi Andrea
Create a partner determination profile. You can use procedure 0with 0000032 to copy.
IMG > CRM > Basic Functions > Partner Processing > Define Partner Determination Procedure
Assign partner determination profile it to Installed base
IMG > CRM > Master Data > Installed Base > Assign Partner Determination Procedure to Installed Base Category
Check Account identification profile, it should have Auto search checked for ICCMP_IBASE main partner approach.
IMG > CRM > Interaction Center WebClient > Master Data > Define Account Identification Profiles
In IB52 assign Account to IBase as main partner.
Now when you search for IBase and confirm, it will automatically look for the Account assigned as main partner.
hope this helps

Create service request with inbound email linked to it
Hi,
we are on CRM 7.0 and interaction center agents need to open and read inbound emails in the agent inbox and in some cases manually create Service Requests to which the email should be linked.
Is there any standard functionality to manually create a new Service Request with the inbound email linked to it or do we have to implement it with custom coding? (we have already used ERMS to automatically create Service Requests linked to emails, but in some scenarios agents need to create manually service requests linked to mails after reading the email in the inbox)
Thanks,
laura.Hi Joaquin,
Thank you for answering. I already tried: I select the line with the email in the Inbox, I press Interact (the account is automatically recognized and I am asked to confirm it), I confirm the account and then I navigate to "Service Request" workcenter: a new Service Request is displayed, with the employee responsible and the customer automatically filled. However, I can see no data regarding any attached email in any of the Service Request tabs (even if I save or select "End").
After your answer, I tried the same procedure with the "Service Ticket" and noticed that the email is correctly displayed as an Interaction Record under the Business Content tab for the Service Ticket: since you confirmed that this should work also for Service Request, I guess there's something wrong in my customizing settings and now I will search for errors.
Thanks for your help.

Create a service request with the Account confirmed filled out
Hi all, I'm working on an IC scenario where we have to create a Service Request based on: functional location and customer.
This is the process steps:
1) search for the functional location (FL) and confirm it
2) confirm the account of the FL (we have a list of account related to the FL, partner function)
3) create a service request referring to the FL and the Account confirmed in the prev-step
My need is to find an automatic way to replicate the FL and the Account prev-confirmed directly into the Service Request, without repeat the search.
Any suggestions?Hi Anubhav, thanks for your replay. Your idea is good, but unfortunately our process is a little different. We have to manage with the FL, that is the central item of the Service Request, and with one of the several partner function of the FL.
So, first, the Agent has to search the FL and then confirm the right Account between the FL's partner (each time we have to create a service request, the Customer could be one of the FL's partner function). Now, I'm investigating if with a Badi, I can transfer the FL confirmed with the Account Identification, directly into the Service Request.
Interaction Center WebClient->Business Transaction->Service Ticket->BADI: Product Assignment for creation of Service Items
Thanks.

Link to Service Request from report
Hi,
I am trying to perform the following:
In a Contact layout I have created a web applet which show product information.
(Let's say Product Name, Product Id and Product Catgeory)
I want to enable the user the following:
By clicking on the product name, a new Service Reuqest window will be opened, containing the Product that was chosen and the contact details.
Can it be done?
Thanks,
Guy

GuyAt this time there is not a direct link from a service request to a opportunity. However, you could use a completed activity under a service request with a Type called "Link" that would link the service request and opportunity. This would allow you to do reporting on these two linked objects.

Create a view - Service Requests and Incidents
Hi all,
I have a Service Manager 2012 environment that has gone through an in-place upgrade from SCSM 2010.
In the SCSM 2010 environment, Service Requests were implemented by extending the Incident class with an attribute that would denote whether the work item was an Incident or a Service Request.
In SCSM 2012 I would like to create a view that would combine the SCSM 2010 "Service Requests" with SCSM 2012 Service Requests.
Is it possible to create a Type Projection that performs the job of an SQL UNION statement? If I was doing this in SQL, I'd be writing a query similar to the following:
Select *
From ServiceRequestDim
Union Select *
From IncidentDim
Where ServiceRequestType = 'Service Request'
(Obviously, some mapping of attributes between the two class types would be needed...and perhaps that's the reason why a type projection of this sort would not be possible...)
An alternate approach - attack this from the Work Item class. It's trivial to create a view that contains Service Requests and Incidents - just set your criteria to be: ID begins with 'SR' or ID begins with 'IR'. Unfortunately, that criteria
returns all Incidents, and I only want the Incidents that have the attribute ServiceRequestType = 'Service Request'. Is it possible to create a Type Projection starting with the Work Item type that employs criteria from child classes?Work Item is an abstract class, and can't be extended for implementation reasons.
i think Anders has understated the difficulty of combining these views: this is a bit like saying "show me all the orange things, given this bucket of cats and this bucket of fruit" yes, they are both "orange", but fur is not the same
as fruit rind; they're not the same "orange".
the 2010 Service Request implementation was never intended to be a serious use case (i assume you're talking about the SCSM Service Request demo implementation on codeplex), it was intended
to be a demo of what you could do with the form and object interfaces.
The solution here should be simple, convince your client that their solution has been replaced by a newer, better version, Resolve Close and then deprecate these requests, and start reporting only the new type requests. these are history, and dirty data,
and should be ignored. -
Hi Guys
We had a incident where more than a thousand service request created as related transactions from a Master Request. on the IT Helpdesk CRM 7.0
Do you perhaps know of a program / report in CRM that can automatically complete/resolve these service request. Delete is also a option.
Your help would MUCH be appreciated .Hi Solman,
As per your question, there are 2 requirements
1. To Change the status of a Service Request - You can do this by running a report in SE38 - CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN
Enter Service Request ID or GUID in the selection criteria. Also enter the required status to be set in the IT_STATUS internal table which you'll get once you press Main. entry value button on the selection screen of the report.
2. To delete Service Request - Run report "CRM_ORDER_DELETE" in SE38. Mention Service Request ID or GUID at the selection screen.
Thanks

Template to open multiple service requests
I have the following requirement to achieve with service manager...
I wish to open a new Service request or incident from HR for a new starter,
This SR or incident then needs to open templeted sub activites of build machine, assign phone extension, create AD account etc etc
These sub-tasks can then be assigned to other staff and closed off seperately but all link to the master...
How can I achieve this?
***Don't forget to mark helpful or answer***This is, in fact, the entire purpose of the template, to allow you to create complex work items like Service Requests, with all component activities as they are.
The service request is a linear progression, i.e. only one activity will run at a time, and as soon as it completes, the next activity will start. this behavior is by design. if you have multiple tasks that need to run concurrently, consider using a Parallel
Activity container. the PA container will start, and all activities within the PA container will start, and as soon as all activities inside the PA are completed, then the PA will complete, and the next activity inside the Service Request will start.
Views are not updated unless you click away and back, or manually refresh the view. this might be why you don't see them. -
Service Requests not resolving
Good Morning TechNet Experts,
I have been having an issue with service requests and I'm one week away from deployment. Basically, I had no need for a "Review" activity, we implement service requests the same way we implement incidents. An analyst opens a ticket for customer,
once service has been applied they should resolve the service request. With incidents this is easy, you just change the incident status to resolved...
However, with Service Requests I created a new template that did not require the "Approval" activity, only the "Apply Service" activity. My Idea was when an analyst is finished with the ticket, he/she just marks the "Apply Service"
activity as completed and the service request can move to "Completed" status.
Although the activity is being marked as completed, the ticket is not changing status. Some are stuck in "In Progress" and some are stuck in "New" status (even though the activity is showing as completed....). These have been stuck for
more than 24 hours now... when this actually goes into production a week from now even 5 minutes is a long time.
What can I do to solve this? I am open to implementing a new procedure if required. Thanks in advance!Hi,
First of all, it looks like you are having an issue with your workflows. Please restart the HealthService (Microsoft Monitoring Agent) and check if the workflows restart. Do other workflows run (e.g. notification subscriptions)?
Secondly, if you are using service requests with only one manual activity, I believe the handling is a little bit complicated for your analysts. Why don't you remove all activities completely from your SR template? The service request will then go to status
"Submitted" once created, and the analyst can use the task "Complete" to complete the SR without having to worry about activities.
HTH,
