Report Tab showing Cleanup Test results
We're running with TS 4.0 (VIs in LV 8.5). We've customized the Operator Interface so that the Execution View and Report View are contained in the same tab. Before now, we really didn't use the Cleanup section of the sequence file. However, as our test evolved, we realized the need to guarantee certain predictable shutdown. Anyway, when we run our tests (we have the report set to on-the-fly) the tests in Main show up in the execution tab and display pass/fail. When a subsequence is called, the execution tab lists those (sub)tests and their results, as expected. The problem is that we have a couple of things we do in Cleanup, and when the test ends, the execution tab displays the results of the things that were done in Cleanup. We'd like the test results from Main to show up at the end so that the user can see what passed/failed without having to scroll through the report. Is there a way to do this?
Hello mrbean,
I am not seeing the same behavior that you describe. The execution pointer should always follow the steps in the currently executing sequence. If your MainSequence cleanup step group does not call any subsequences, then the execution pointer should not leave the MainSequence. Furthermore, when I do place a subsequence in my cleanup step group, the execution pointer still returns to the MainSequence from which the subsequence was called once it is finished executing. So I have been unable to reproduce this issue.
However, if you simply want to disable tracing into the Cleanup step group, you can go to Configure > Station Options and uncheck the "Allow Tracing into Setup/Cleanup" option. I hope that helps.

Marty H.

I want to show previous test result on uut screen?
Hi.
I'm using Test Stand 2013. I want to show previous uut result on new uut screen. How can i do it? Which variable can i use for it?You could store the previous results using the PostUUT callback (or near that if you are changing the process model directly) and store the result status in a FileGlobal indexed by testsocket index. For example something like:
FileGlobals.LastTestSocketStatus[RunState.TestSockets.MyIndex]
To make sure the array is big enough you could dynamically size it somewhere using SetNumElements() once you know how many testsockets there are.
Hope this helps,

Report text based on test results
I would like to include debug information in the TestStand report. For example, if test fails, report text = "Try replacing C1." Is there one expression that would cover all types of tests? I'm using TestStand 3.5. Thanks.
Solved!
Go to Solution. One idea is that you could use the step's additional results. Just put a debug message as one of the ideas and then set the Condition to Step.Results.Status == "Failed". Then it will only show if the step fails.
Just a thought.

First, its a good idea to remove your serial number from the post. The diagnostics points to a possibly failing hard drive. (the part that stores the data on the pc). Ensure you keep good backups of your data just in case it completely fails. Next, you should get in touch with lenovo and make a warranty claim so they can look at it or advise you accordingly or maybe contact an authorized service center.

Text dialog box instead of Report tab
I'm using TS3.5 and customizing the LabVIEW version of the OI. I would like to do two things. (1) Make the Test Sequence and Test Execution tabs visible at all times. Currently, the Execution tab (along with the Report tab) appear when "Test UUT" is selected or Executions is selected in the Listbox to the left of the SequenceView control. (2) I would like the report information to appear on the Sequence and Executions tabs as a Text Dialog box, to the right of the SequenceView control (that currently displays Step,Status,Flow Control).
Can someone get me started?Hey Mr. Bean,
1) There is a subvi called Configure Event Callbacks in the block diagram. Inside of here there is a callback VI for the UIMessage handling. It is called Page Change CBack. Inside of there you'll see a subvi called Show Appropriate Tabs. This is where the tabs are being set for which one is shown. You can tweak this code to do what you expect.
2) You can just copy and paste the ReportView control onto the execution Tab. You will have to change some things in the block diagram to get it to look right. Like the code in resize controls subvi so that your execution control doesn't overshadow the new reportview control and you'll most likely have to make the new reportview control ConnectReportView. You can see how this is done by looking at the other one.

Problem defining a report to show in Reports tab of plug-in home page
We are developing a plug-in for OEM and we want to add some SYSTEM reports that will be showing in Reports tab of plug-in home page.
We tried to use the PL/SQL code described in Extensibility Guide, copied the code used in some existing plug-in that we downloaded from Oracle site, but it does not work. When executing the code we receiving "PL/SQL procedure successfully completed" message, but report does not show neither in Reports list nor in Home page (reports tab does not exist).
Finally we tried to add a report containing only static text component, but with same result.
Following is the code that is executed:

/Have you tried running your sql file in sql plus? Does that work? If it does execute, does the report show on the main tab but not on the target homepage or does it show in neither spot? Try hitting the refresh icon in the page to reset the cache on the Reports tab.
When you deploy the plug-in with the report file in it, did you see any errors or messages in the oms logs?
1. We do: run the PL/SQL script I posted from sqlPlus. As far as I understand it should add a report?
2. We tried all the ways of defining a report. We successfully create the report interactively with SQLs we defined. We tried to put the PL/SQL code inside the jar and deploy, to run the PL/SQL script in SQL Plus, neither report is showed in Reports list nor Reports tab is showing at all. We tried to restart OEM and computer after adding a report, it does not help...
Regarding the oms logs - where can we see that? -

This report shows the schedule line items , group schedule line items and rental contact (billing plan) lines when particular checkbox is checked. The checkboxs p_all(non-schedule line) , p_group(group schedule line items) are working in my above alv report and showing result but unfortunately when p_rental is checked it dosent give me result , it says no data selected. This when checked has to show result based on a different set of selections as I have done, but its not shwoing me the result .
Kindly help please.

Reports not showing up in Reports tab
Just downloaded SQL Developer 2.1
I went to the reports tab expecting to see the pre-packaged reports that are mentioned in the tutorial.
Sadly, I see no reports.
No containers.
So I can't even add my own reports.
I'm assuming I missed some step somewhere?
Thanks!AHA! OK, my laziness bit me in the behind.
Every time I launched SQL Developer, I got one of those "This was downloaded do you want to run it" warnings and I never turned it off.
This appears to not have been an issue when running from the folder itself.
When I pinned the exe to the start menu, I got the warning, said OK, and would actually see the report containers on the reports tab for a moment, and then it would vanish.
I unchecked the "always show this warning" box, and now everything works fine, even from the start menu
thanks much! -
How to discard skipped test results in XML report generated from TestStand
Hello,
I'm generating XML report from TestStand. I have more than 100 test cases & user has the flexibility to select the test cases to execute or to skip.
Problem statement:
1. In Configure\report options there is filter expression to filter test results to be logged. However, this filter is disabled for XML report.
2. Is there a way to compress XML file using either encryption or any other methods?
I understand that there would be two methods ideally for my problem statement #1 above:
A. To have a workaround in reportgen_xml.seq to pragmatically log only executed test cases and discard skipped test results.
B. Modify stylesheet supplied by NI to discard skipped test results.
For problem statement #2 above:
I am able to encrypt the data before logging it to XML. But I don't know how to modify the stylesheet to decrypt the same using either public/ private encryption keys. Can anyone bring in more ideas here !!!
My preference would be to implement using #A above to reduce the XML file size which is ~4 MB will all test results (skipped + executed). If this is not possible my last option would be to implement using #B above
I would appreciate if someone can help me for my problem statement? I'm using TestStand 2010
Solved!
Go to Solution.I have another solution and that is to actual discard the result before you get to the report stage.
You can do this by use of the Override Callback SequenceFilePostResultList and if Skipped then discard the result from ResultList.
Check out this link.

Build model - view test result - i have no ROC tab
Dear all,
When I build eg. a classification SVM (Lin.Reg, Naive Bayes)) model and view the test results, in that window I have only these tabs: Performance, Performance Matrix, Lift, Profit. I have no Roc tab. Do you know why? Before I used SQL Developer 3.2.09.30_x64 with this problem. Now I use SQL Developer 3.2.20.09.87_x64 with this problem. When I try to tune the SVM algoritm (so not let it automatic), there are only these tabs: Cost, Benefit, Lift, Profit. But not ROC tab :(((
When I use the old Oracle Data Miner software from 2011, version 11.1.0.3.0 (build 11705) connecting to the same database server (using the same account), and I build a classification SVM model, I have ROC curve.
Can anyone help me to solve this misterious problem?
Than you!!!We don't have "preferred target value" during model building in the new data miner. However, you can use the Transform node to transform your target into 2 classes (preferred target value and others). You then use the output from the Transform node as input source for your model build.
Here is a process to transform your target into 2 classes:
- Create a Transform node
- In Transform node, select the target column, click "Add Transformation" icon on the toolbar
- In the Add Transform dialog, select "Custom" Binning Type, click "Generate Default Bins" button (accept default settings)
- In the "Custom bin values" listbox, remove the non-preferred target values (select the values and click the "Remove Transformation" icon on the toolbar)
- Now, you should have one preferred target value in the "Custom bin values" listbox, click OK to finish
You can now connect the Transform node to a Build node. In the Build node, select the transformed target (it should have the "_BIN" suffix in the name) as the Target for model build.
Hope this help!

On starting BI Server Report is showing 0 Result
I have facing a strange problem. One report is showing 0 Result on starting server, checked back end query,it shows it is hitting some other fact, tht'why measure is not found and cast Null as 0 is happening.
Strange thing is when I pull some other column from the same fact (But different Presentation table, same Logical table and Same LTS) along with my required measure it is showing data, hitting correct fact. But If I restart the server, again 0 result is coming.
I disabled cache and restarted, still the issue is coming.
I thought from BMM Layer the measure is not getting correct joins.
So I check all logical and physical join with conformed dimensions with Logical Fact. All are ok.
Measure has 2 definition at two LTS.

Edited by: 980674 on Jan 9, 2013 7:12 AMSay the data is like this.
Material Sold to Party Act Bud
M1 S1 100 0
M1 # 0 50
M1 S2 200 0
And you want to see like below.
Material Sold to Party Act Bud
M1 S1 100 50
M1 S2 200 50
If this is your requirement, let the sold to party be in Rows.
In columns, for budget, create a local selection, drag budget kf, sold to party (restrict this by # and right click and choose constant selection). This makes the budget kf independent of what is coming in the rows and always shows data corresponding to sold to party #. Hope this is clear. -
Report not showing terminated empoyees payroll results
Hi there,
I have coded a report that shows customized payroll data for a group of employees, delimited by two dates. The user found a problem when an employee is terminated on a given month but his termination is processed the next month (vacations, etc). Say the employee quits October 27, the payroll is run on November 10 and the report is run for November 1 - November 30: I wont see his payroll results because the employee does not belong to a particular organizational unit in november.
This is my main code:
START-OF-SELECTION.
GET pernr.
sapid = pernr-pernr.
* CREATE AND POPULATE PAYROLL OBJECT RRV100807
CREATE OBJECT pay.
CALL METHOD pay->read_result IMPORTING list = mylist.
* ELIMINATE OLD RECORDS RRV100807
LOOP AT mylist INTO wa_mylist WHERE SRTZA <> 'A'.
DELETE TABLE mylist FROM wa_mylist.
ENDLOOP.
* PROCESS PAYROLL FOR THE DESIRED ENTRIES RRV100807
CALL METHOD pay->write_result EXPORTING list = mylist.
GET payroll.
LOOP AT payroll-inter-wpbp INTO wa_wpbp WHERE orgeh IN PNPOBJID.
* PROCESS PERIOD DATA
itab_rt = payroll-inter-rt.
PERFORM get_wt_amounts.
EXIT.
ENDLOOP.
GET pernr LATE.
* IF THERE ARE PAYROLL RESULTS
IF wa_result-otsal <> 0
OR wa_result-regsal <> 0
OR wa_result-teller <> 0
OR wa_result-other <> 0.
* PROCESS EMPLOYEE
PERFORM get_data.
ENDIF.
Basically, the GET PERNR (get personnel record) is never executed because the employee does not belong to the org unit. Is there any way to gather employee records in one interval and payroll results in another? I assume they both use PNBEGDA and PNENDDA at this point.
What I want is to retrieve payroll information based on the screen dates (BEGDA and ENDDA) and the employee data based on the payroll periods that were run during those dates.Instead of using the standard selection screen field for choosing org units, you could create a custom selection screen field for the org unit. So the org unit would not affect the initial GET PERNR selection. Then in your code (after the GET PERNR) you could check for the org unit, with an additional condition to check the employee's previous org unit if he is terminated. There is also more than one way to get payroll results. We often use this in our reports:
FORM get_payroll_results.
CLEAR results_present.

LOOP AT rgdir INTO ws_rgdir

OTHERS = 10.
LOOP AT result-inter-rt INTO wa_rt
WHERE lgart = wa_wagetype.
ADD ws_betrg TO ws_total.
ENDLOOP.
ENDLOOP.
ENDIF.
This allows you to specify by date, wagetype, pay period, etc. which payroll results you wnat to include. I hope this helps.

Crystal Reports Cross-Tab Report not showing all available fields
I am running CR2008 against MS SQL Express. I have several tables with fields and data in them and can create standard reports to show all the data in all the fields. However, when I try to create a cross-tab report, only some of the fields appear for me to choose from.
I created a standard report with all the fields I needed in my cross-tab report and ran a preview. Everything was there. I then added a cross-tab object, selected the tables only to find that fields that are in the main report are not showing up for selection in the cross-tab.UPDATE: I exported the entire database from MS SQLExpress to MS Access and I am having the same issues, so it does not appear to be a problem with the database engine and, since the standard tabular reports show the fields, I am at a loss as to why they don't show up in the cross-tab or the Parameter fields.
I am creating the cross-tab through the Cross-Tab wizard. Is there maybe a bug in that? Is there a way to create it otherwise?
