Report to be generated,mailed based on Reminder date through background job

Hi All,
We have a requirement where in I need to mail the "Task Monitoring" report to the Personnel administrator based on the reminder date set for different task types mentioned in IT 0019.
I am using T-code sm36 to set the background job on a monthly basis.
I am able to mail the report for as per the reminder dates set in the "Task monitoring" report. But I want to know how the system will pick the reminder date on a monthly basis to mail the report accordingly.
Eg. For the month of Jan, i have set the reminder dates falling in that very month in the selction output of "Task Monitoring" report and mailed.
Now I want sytem to automatically pick the reminder dates and mail the report. Pls let me know the steps to make the sytem pick the next reminder dates on its own on monthly basis.
Points would be rewarded for appropriate solutions.
Thanks.

Hi,
After pressing save button to create a variant, system takes me to the Variant Attributes screen. There I select on "Selection variable" accross "Reminder date". I clcik on the "Dynamic date calculation".
Then when i go to the "Name of Variable column" and i  select "First day of the month" from the drop down. Can u pls explain me how this would help me capture the "Reminder dates" on monthly basis falling on each month when i mail the report on monthly basis.
Eg. For the month of Jan, i need all the reminder dates falling in this month.
For the month of Feb, i need all the reminder dates falling in this month. Like this, It goes on all for all the months.
Thanks.

  • Mail Generation during Reminder date

    Hi SAP guru,
    This is my requirement, I have maintained the 0041-Date specification and 0019 monitoring of task infotype, As per the dynamic action for 0019 - monitoring of task infotype, the reminder date should check with system date if both are same it should trigger the  mailing activities, where it suppose to shoot up mail as per standard text for mail connection.
    where i have given the dynamic action coding:
    0019     01          06     1           "SEND MAIL TO REMIND DATE"
    0019     01          06     2     P     P0019-MNDAT>SYDATUM
    0019     01          06     3     P     P0001-SACHP='001'
    0019     01          04     4     M     M0019
    where as mailing feature which i configure is ok.
    Now i had a problem of whenever i created the monitoring of task the reminder date is lesser or higher or even equal it is triggering mail of m0019, where it should not happen, it suppose to generate mail only when reminder date and system date are equal.
    Guru some where in dynamic action coding i did a mistake, can any one throw a light on this.
    Thanks,
    Shreya.

    Shreya- Try this
    0019 01 06 1 P P0019-MNDAT=SYDATUM
    0019 01 06 2 M M0019
    Hope this helps

  • Reg: Error in Mail sending through background job in SCOT

    Hello experts,
    I am trying to schedule a background job through SCOT so as to send the mails present in SOST.
    The job is running but it is giving error as "Invalid status  for recipient" in SOST.
    But when I am sending it directly from SOST it is delivered without any errors. The email address is maintained correctly and SMTP settings are also correct as while sending it directly from SOST it reaches the required recipient without any error.
    This error is observed only through background job. I am using program RSCONN01 with variant SAP&CONNECTINT in background job.
    Kindly suggest why I am getting the error "Invalid status  for recipient" in background job.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Automatic Mail not getting generated through background job

    Hi Experts,
    We have set up a job variant with spool recipients. We are getting the automatic mail if the job is getting finished successfully. But we are not getting the automatic mail if the job is in cancelled status. Earlier we used to get the mail even if the job is in cancelled status. We are not sure if there is any setting which would restrict the automatic mail based on the job status.
    Appreciate your help in this regard.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ranjani.

    Hi,
    Just for a work around, try checking the SAP user inbox for the user who has scheduled the background job.
    I don't there  is any seperate configuration in Spool List Recipient for the canceled jobs. We need to confirm that the email ids provided in the Spool List recipient are correct and the background job creates a spool request even if it is canceled.
    Also if possible try deleting the existing background job and create a new background job with the same parameters and valid email id's maintained in the Spool List recipient.
    OR
    Without deleting the existing background job, parallely create a new background job with the same parameters and valid email id's maintained in the Spool List recipient. If it works then delete the old background job.
    Thanks

  • Mail not being sent for a background job scheduled.

    Hello all,
    We have a report which is scheduled in background. The job runs for every 10 mins in development server and sends the status to various mail IDs. The job runs successfully and the status shows as 'FINISHED'. But users are not able to recieve the mail.
    Mails are sent using the FM "SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1".
    When the debug the report everything works fine and the user recieved the mail. Any pointers to this would be of great help.
    I tried searching in SDN for existing posts but could not find any relevant thread.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Chandra.

    Hello,
    PFB piece of code showing how the FM is called.
    CALL FUNCTION 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'

    Also , please note that this report has been scheduled some time in last year i.e. 2008 and it was running successfully by sending mails. But from past 2 months the report is not sending mails.

  • A/R report u0096 Customer open items based on due date

    Hi all,
    Can anyone tell me if there is a standard report on AR side that gives me invoices due between certain dates, meaning I should be able to select due dates between 11/15/2006 and 11/30/2006 in the selection and the report should get me the customers with invoices that are due between the above dates for a company code.
    Thanks in advance
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
    there is no standard report which give you selection citeria to select range of due date. Since due date is calculated based on function module where it calculate Bline date+ terms of payment days.
    other std reports are:
    S_ALR_87012175 Open Items - Customer Due Date Forecast
    S_ALR_87012178 Customer Open Item Analysis by Balance of Overdue Items
    S_ALR_87012168 Due Date Analysis for Open Items
    Hope this helps.

  • CHaRM Reporting Data Collection Background Job

    Hi CHaRM Gurus,
    I saw lot of thread about data collection for CHaRM Reporting using /tmwflow/Config_lock. Question is do we need to run everytime before run the report or is there anyway can schedule in background to collect data Asynch. There is a SAP Note 1269192 applied in both Solution Manager and Managed system. If any job to schedule what job and the ID to use run what authorization. Because this job need to collect transport request and objects, so definitely required different authorizations.
    Thanks
    RS

    Hi,
    The job is SM:TMWFLOW_CMSSYSCOL, program  /TMWFLOW/CMSSYSCOL2. The data collector program requires additional authorizations for Read RFC user you have defined for client '000' of the satellite systems.
    Authorization object: S_TRANSPRT
    ACTVT = 03 and TTYPE = <*> (full authorization)
    Refer to note 881553 for authorizations.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Background job not showing full output of Report

    Dear Experts
    we have created zpgm for stad report and try to take output as mail to particular user for future analysis bcaz stad gives only 2 days report only we need keep report for months together so when we run job in foreground it shows proper output but when same thing when we run from background it shows only some part of report in mail (we are unable to get full output through background job )
    we send mail through spool receipts we have created folder and maintain user for getting mails through so15 distribution list
    we need some input to come out of this major issue
    if there is any other workaround let me know
    Regards

    Hello,
    If a job is defined by transaction SM36, the print format parameters will only be taken into account, if they are saved as user specific print parameters of the batch user. If no user specific print format
    is defined,  the ALV standard logic will be processed adjusting the print format to the actual line size of the report.
    For example, the list line size is about 132 characters, the widest available format of the chosen printer will be selected X_65_132.
    The problem would be solved by defining a device type which is no format assigned to print, or by defining user specific print format parameters for the batch user, who creates the jobs in SM36 (see
    SAP note 1179399, item 6).
    Regards,
    David

  • Some records are missing in the mail, when scheduled a background job.

    There is a Z report,  which will display some details from SD, MM , WM every day , and the same thing need to be mailed to the user through background Job.
    Issue is that spool is correct and it is missing some records ( Billing due list ), even internal table have records and displayed in the spool , in the mail it says
    “No Entries Found”.
    Is there any chance of debugging background job.
    Good thing is that when executed in foreground it is working fine. Both mail and report display.

    EM_BODY = '4) VF04 -- Processing Billing document due list.'.
      APPEND EM_BODY.
      EM_BODY = ' '.
      APPEND EM_BODY.
      IF IT_FINAL3[] IS INITIAL.
        EM_BODY = '        No Entry Found'.
        APPEND EM_BODY.
        EM_BODY = ' '.
        APPEND EM_BODY.
      ELSE.
        CONCATENATE 'Delivery No' 'Created By' 'Created On'
                     'Reason' INTO HEAD SEPARATED BY '     '.
        EM_BODY = HEAD.
        APPEND EM_BODY.
        EM_BODY = ' '.
        APPEND EM_BODY.
        CLEAR V_TEXT.
        CLEAR ITEM.
        LOOP AT IT_FINAL3.
          CONCATENATE IT_FINAL3-VBELN  IT_FINAL3-ERNAM IT_final3-ERDAT
                      IT_FINAL3-RESO INTO ITEM SEPARATED BY '     '.
          V_TEXT = ITEM.
          EM_BODY = V_TEXT.
          APPEND EM_BODY.
        ENDLOOP.
        EM_BODY = ' '.
        APPEND EM_BODY.
      ENDIF.
    This is the part where it is failing, where it_final3[] is initial.
    but whereas in the spool i can view those records.

    If we see the maually the log report for FFID then below error message is displayed.

    Hi,
    once chk the status of the job by selecting that and check job status(cltr+shift_f12)
    since it was periodically scheduled job there will be a RELEASED job after every active job..
    so try to copy that into another job using copy option and give some new name which u have to remember...
    the moment u copy u can find the same copied job in SCHEDULED status...
    from here, try to run it again on hourly basis....
    After copying the job u can unschedule the old released job to scheduled otherwise 2 will run at a time...

  • How to suppress a row based on current date -  at query level?

    In an Bex query report i have suppress rows based on current date.
    There is no current date available in query.
    there is a date field in the query.
    If by chance the date in that field is lesser than current date, I have to suppress that row.
    How can this be achieved?

    What is the code ofr creating a variable to get values >= to current date?
    I have implemented the following code which is not working.
    data L_S_range like line of E_T_range[].
    CLEAR L_S_RANGE.
    L_S_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'.
    L_S_RANGE-OPT = 'GE'.
    L_S_RANGE-LOW = SY-DATUM.
    APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE[].
    Actually i have written in class, which will be inherited in superclass.

  • Setting layout to a report in background job

    Hi.
    Does anybody knows how I set layouts dynamically to a report output, given that such report is scheduled to run once a day in a background job?
    It would work for me, either: through SM36 or coding JOB_OPEN / JOB_SUBMIT / JOB_CLOSE (or any other option, if available).
    My requirement is to execute every night few reports, each with their corresponding variants and layouts.
    Something like:
    RUN <report1> VARIANT <variant1> LAYOUT <layout1> JOB <job>. (it would output and xls file).
    RUN <report2> VARIANT <variant2> LAYOUT <layout1> JOB <job>. (it would output another xls file).
    RUN <report3> VARIANT <variant3> LAYOUT <layout2> JOB <job>. (it would output a 3rd xls file).
    How should I do to inform variant and layout parameters?
    Thank you.
    Rafael.

    I think I didn't make myself clear in my explanation. Sorry about that.
    My question is, I can create a new field in selection-screen specifically to layout and it would work. However, as I'm running it in background, the ALV will not be shown and the output file must be the export of the ALV with the layout (if in XLS, it'd be even better, but in .CSV would work as well). I just don't think it would work with a .TXT output, because there's no way to reflect the layout in a .TXT file.
    Is there any way of having the ALV inside the output file (saved in the server, in background processing)?
    Thank you so much!
