Reporting from two box
I have required 4 fields in the cube which is pulled for the SCem Box and 3 required which is pulled from R/3 box . Is that possible to report 4 fields from SCEM and 3 fields from R/3.
I am thinking build one cube for SCEm data and other cube to pull the R/3 data add to together as a multi cube . Then I will report 4 plus 3 fields from the Multi cube.
Please correct me If I am wrong.

Is this applicable. Different time the changes are get updated means the scheduling of the load from R/3 and SCEM is different .
Will the data get synchronize. Will I get I data what I want in the report.

i'm trying to create a report use the data from two different cubes, but that's a problem. what i want to do is like this:
From Cube A, i want to get the total machine number for each type of machine:
Type machine | Total machine
Type A 10000
Type B 15000

And from Cube B, i want to get the machine amount which has an error, also group by machine type:
Type machine | Broken machine amount

How to generate report from two tables using DAO design pattern?
Hi,
Iam using struts with DAO pattern for my application. According to DAO design im creating model class for each table in my database with getter,setter methods. i have no problem when im generating report from one table. but if have i have to join two tables whatis the better way for doing that? is it good practise to create a new model contains properties from both the tables?

As per the pattern you are creating equivalent java objects for every database table under consideration in which each db field will become a private attribute and public getter and setter methods.
If you have to display data from one table the above approach is sufficient enough.
But in case your database is normalised ..lets take an example of Bank having Branch and Accounts tables. We dont need to repeat the whole information of the branch for every account in that branch. so we prefer to have a branch id in that table....this approach lot of insertion/deletion/updatation anomlies that may exists with the database...
now lets come back to our topic....we shall create two java objects 1) Branch 2) Account.....
When ever u just need to display simple report u can do it staright forward,,,,,now if u want to display branch information along with the account information....the two objects just created are not sufficient
So i suggest u the following approaches
1) Create an attribute of type Branch in the Accounts Object......
This shall serve the purpose of displaying the Btranch information
2) Create a collection object of type ( Vector or ArrayList) which can have objects of Account in the Branch Object,,,
Now its upto u how shall u fill up the objects with appropriate sql queries.
The method that i mentioned is followed by Oracle Toplink and Hibernate ....which provide Object to relation mapping layers.

Hi Experts,
Opportunities (0crm_c04) InfoCube getting updated from Header and Item ODS. One of the Key figure Value (Expected Sales Volume) coming from Header ODS (It is not available in Item ODS). And two Characteristics (Product and Status) coming from Item ODS (It is not available in Header ODS).
Now the records are maintained in two line item.
In my query I want to see the key figure value based on Product and Status.
I tried through multicube, but it is not working.

Generating an HTML report from two tabs.
Hi Guys, and sorry if the title is not clear.
My situation is like this: I have two tabs for two different conditions. In the first tab, I want generate part of my HTML report regarding the first tab. Then, in the second tab, I want add more details to my previous HTML report. Can this be done in LabVIEW 8.0? I appreciate any advice.

I have not previously encountered this behavior when using the report generation toolkit to append images to a Word report. Can I assume that you are using the "Append Control Image to Report VI" to add these images to the Word report? With this VI you wire in a reference to each of the controls for which you are trying to export the image. I ask because I was able to successfully export images for graphs that I had not yet viewed on a tab control. Also, which version of LabVIEW are you using that you experience this difficulty?
One thing to consider may be execution order; when does data get written to graphs on each tab? Are you sure that an image append operation can never take place before data exists on a graph? If you have a small example VI that shows this behavior, that might help me to identify an easier workaround for you. I hope this information is useful for you. Thanks,

With Oracle 10g I get the following problem; If two users are running different reports at similar times the user that runs his report second will get his and the previous report on one page, they get combined. The user who ran his report first will get his report correctly.

MichaelThank you for your response. Yes I am using a temp table where I replace variables with paramaters provided by the user. I have rectified the problem by putting in place a check to see if the temp table is in use, if it is a message tells the user to try later. Thank you you were spot on.

Data from two fact tables??
I have a report in which I am comparing two fact tables at month level. I have columns calculated at this level.
One fact has all month entries and other does not have all.
I need to show all the month values and measures in the report even if some months donot exist in one fact and exists in the other.
Currently, my report shows only those months which two facts have in common.
Please suggest.Left join didnot work for me..Still getting the same result.
I created two identical reports from two identical facts.... using "combine with similar request"
Dummied columns from 2nd fact (placed 0s) for 1st report
and dummied columns from 1st fact (placed 0s) for 2nd report.

How to combine two user prompts into 1 single prompt from two Webi Queries
Hi All,
I developed a single webi report from two different queries on top of 2 BW OLAP universe .
Here I have one user input prompt for each query so I want to combine them into one single user input promt which should pass the user input value to both the Webi queries feeding data to the single webi report.
I found that the webi doc has auto checked merge dimensions enabled but it is not providing combined resluts from both the queries .
Any inputs are greatlt appreciated.

Firstly ,I appreciate your responses for my two questions.
Both the prompts I am using are from the masterdata and they are similar.data types.I think the transactional data is not available in BW for one of the prompt ,hence I am not getting consistent data.
Anyway will do further investigation in finding similarities and let you know.

Trouble automatically emailing reports from BOXI
I am running BOXI R3 on a Linux cluster. The cluster has 8 nodes.
I want to schedule Webi Document reports to run automatically and email them (as excel files) to certain recipients.
I provisioned the Adaptive job servers with the email server info. I also provisioned the Destination Job Server with the same email server info.
10.25.255.5 is the email server I defined in the job servers.
I scheduled a report to run and deliver via email to two recipients. At the option of using u201CUse the Job Server's defaultsu201D u2013 I uncheck that and manually enter the email addresses of the recipients.
The status showed failed and gave this info:
*Error Message: server error. [Error initializing SMTP server. Return code: http://TCP send failed.. Reason: 10.25.155.5:25].: http://CrystalEnterprise.Smtp*
Any thoughts you may have would be appreciated.

i checked and can manually initiate a connection from the boxi server to the email server (10.25.155.5 port 25).
I do have another question. When provisioning the destinations in the Adaptive Job Server and Destination Job Server - is it mandatory to have something in the DOMAIN field? At present I do not. I only have something in the HOST field (the smtp server ip address).

Unable to consolidate data from two DSOs into an InfoCube for reporting.

I am working on BW 7.0 to create BEx Report as below:
This report will have data coming from two different sources, some data from COPA DSO [such as Customer Number, Product Hierarchy1, Product Hierarchy2, Product Hierarchy3, Product Hierarchy4. Product Hierarchy5, Product Hierarchy6 and a few other Key Figures] and the rest [such as Product Hierarchy, Reference Document, Condition Type (both Active & Inactive), Condition Value and a few other Key Figures] from another DSO (ZSD_DS18) which is a copy of the BCT DSO (0SD_O06). I've chosen this DSO because this is the BCT DSO which is used to store data from a Standard Extractor 2LIS_13_VDKON.
Below are the screenshots of these 2 DSOs:
I have successfully extracted the data from 2LIS_13_VDKON (includes PROD_HIER but not Customer Number) and loaded into a DSO (ZSD_D17).
All the testing is done using only one Sales Document No (VBELN).
First test that I tried is.. to create an Infocube and loaded data from ZCOPA_01 and ZSD_DS18 and when the LISTCUBE was run on this InfoCube, the data is coming up in two different lines which is not very meaningful. Screenshot below:
Therefore, I have created another DSO (ZSD_DS17) to Consolidate the data from ZCOPA_01 & ZSD_DS18 establishing mappings between some of common Chars such as below:
ZCOPA_01 ZSD_DS18
0REFER_DOC <-> 0BILL_NUM
0REFER_ITM <-> 0BILL_ITEM
0ME_ORDER <-> 0DOC_NUMBER
0ME_ITEM <-> 0S_ORD_ITEM
51 records are loaded from ZSD_DS18 into ZSD_DS17 and 4 records are loaded from ZCOPA_01 into ZSD_DS17 for a particular Sales Document Number.
When I am using a Write-Optimized DSO, data is coming in just 1 line but it is showing only 4 lines which is aggregated which is as expected since W/O DSO aggregates the data. However, when I use Standard DSO, the data is again splitting up into many lines.
Is there something that I am missing in here while designing the Data Model or does this call for some ABAP being done, if so, where or should I have to talk to the Functional Lead and then Enhance the Standard Extractor, and even if I do that, I would still have to bring in those Key Figures from ZCOPA_01 for my reporting?

for the COPA key figures, you'll need to add product hierarchy to the key figures with a selection of # and constant selection flagged
for the SD key figures, you'll have to do the same for customer & the product hierarchy levels (instead of product hierarchy) -

Go to Solution.Do you need to do that just for these two sequences but not for other sequences? I don't see a problem to use SequenceFilePostStepRuntimeError. Create this callback in both sequence files and configure them to log into the same file. SequenceFilePostStepRuntimeError callback is called after each step of the sequence file if it has runtime error. You can access the calling step error information via RunState.Caller.Step.Result.Error property. Take a look to attached example.
The "other way" is useful if you need to log errors not for every step of the sequence file, but for some of them. This is more complex, because you need to create a custom step types for these steps. For the custom step you can create substeps (post-step in your case) which will be executed every time after step of this type executed. Then, this is you job to determine if error happened in the step, acces to step's error information is via Step.Result.Error property.
Also, be aware that step's post-expression is not executed in case of error in the step.

Populate two additional select boxes from main box...

i am new at most of this, so please bare with me.
I am trying to go from one box to the next (twice over), and am having difficulty getting to the third box.
I have the original box "select1" and it populates "select two" just fine, but i do not have the third population....looking for help in getting a third box.
I would like box one to populate box two, from the selection in box two, i would like to populate box three, and have that as a selection as well.
