Reports on Assessments

Hello,
OD R18 doc says on page 1447 "The answers to the questions are mapped as field values in the record, so that the answers are easily accessible, and available for reporting"
Also it says in next page that Assessment script can be used for SR Survey.
My customer wants to build a report on the SR Survey answers... It seems that this is possible according to the manual.
I was not able to find either a Historical or an Analytics subject area for building this report.
I'd appreciate any help.
Txs.
Antonio

Txs for your comments...
But I guess I was misunderstood... I understand that the survey is to be conducted by the agent when he/she is at the phone with the contact. I am not trying to provide the survey externally.
I just want to build a Report using the set of answers... So if I have 100 surveys conducted, the report could show some indicators on how each question averaged.
So questions are:
a) Which fields are available for as per documentation (my original post) ?
b) Are these fields "hidden" and should be exposed ?
c) If I Can build such a report.. which Subject Area should I use ?
Txs. for any help.

  • Role and User level Risk Analysis is not displaying any output or report.

    Hello,
I have a problem when I run risk analysis, both in foreground and background. The issue is that no report is displayed and I have followed all the instructions carefully.
    I have done the following:
Maintained Access Risk table to contain functions and assigned it to a rule set.
The functions contains actions and permissions that are explicitly assigned to my ERP connector in the system field in both action and permission tabs.
I have run the sync job to update the roles in the GRC server from the ERP backend. I am surprise that no report is displayed as I have a test role that I am sure has conflict as per my function definition.
Please advice me if there is something I am missing.
    Thank you.

    CO-PA:
CO-PA collects all the OLTP data for calculating contribution margins (Sales, cost of sales, overhead costs)
CO-PA also has power reporting tools and planning functions however co-pa reporting facility is limited to
Integrated cross-application reporting concept is not as differentiated as it is in BW.
OLTP system is optimized for transaction processing and high reporting work load has negative impact on the overall performance of the system.
    Flow of Actual Values:
During Billing in SD Revenues and Payments are transferred to profitability segments in Profitability Analysis at the same time sales quantities are valuated using standard cost of goods manufactured.
In Overhead cost controlling primary postings is made to objects in overhead cost controlling and assigned to relevant cost object. Actual cost of goods manufactured also assigned to cost objects and at the same time performing cost centers are credited
The Production Variances calculated for the cost objects i.e. the difference between the actual cost of the goods manufactured and the standard costs are divided into variance categories and settled to profitability segments (example production orders).
What are the top products and customers in our different divisions. This is one of the typical questions that can be answered with CO-PA Module.
Characteristics are the fields in an operating Concern according to which data can be differentiated in Profitability Analysis.
Each characteristic in an operating concern has a series of valid characteristic values.
Profitability is a fixed combination of valid characteristic values.
    Characteristics:
Some Characteristics are predefined in Operating concern like Material, Customer, and Company Code. In addition to these fixed characteristics we can define up to 50 characteristics of our own. In most cases we will be able to satisfy our profitability analysis requirements with between 10 to 20 Characteristics.
    Value Fields:
Key Figures like revenue, cost of goods sold, overhead costs are stored in value fields.
    Organizational Structure:
The Value fields and Characteristics that are required to conduct detailed analysis vary from industry to Industry and between Individual Customers.
In CO-PA we can configure structure of one or more operating concerns in each individual installation.
An operating concern is an Organizational Structure that groups controlling areas together in the same way controlling areas Groups Company’s together
    Data Base Structures in CO-PA:
    Actual Line Item table:      CE1xxxx
    Plan Line Items: CE2xxxx
Line Item Contain some information at document level that most cases is too detailed for analysis example  CO-PA Document Number, Sales document Number, Posting date.
CO-PA Maintains summarization of data used by all CO-PA functions like reporting, planning, assessments, settlements and so on.
    Segment Table: CE4xxxx
The Characteristics that describes the market are first separated from the rest of the line Items.
Each combination of characteristic vales is stored in profitability segment number. The Link between the profitability segment number and characteristic values is maintained in Segment Table.
    Segment Level: CE3xxxx
The Value fields are summarized at profitability segment and period levels and stored together with these fields in Table CE3xxxx.
This table contains total values of the period for each Profitability segment number.
    Storage Procedure:
We can compare an operating Concern associated by segment table and segment level to an Info cube. Info cube comprises Dimension Table Segment Table) and the fact table (Segment Level).
Unlike Fact table the segment level key contains other keys like processing type in addition to the key field from the segment table.
Characteristics in Info Cube correspond to characteristics (Or Attributes) in Info Cube.
Value fields can be regarded as a Key Figures.
Summarization level in Operating Concern have the same function as aggregates for an Info Cube, the difference is that aggregates for Info Cube are managed together with the Info Cube Itself while summarization levels are updated at regular intervals usually daily.
Line Items in CO-PA is comparable with Operational Data Store
    Data Staging Overview:
To Provide Data Source for BW all CO-PA Data Sources must be generated in the Source System.
Data Sources can be defined at Operating Concern and client level.
Data Source contains the following Information
    Name of the Operating Concern
    Client
    Subset of the Characteristics
    Subset of the Value fields
Time Stamp which data has already been loaded in to BW.
    Creating Data Source:
Since Data Source is always defined at operating concern and Client levels a standard name is always generated which starts with 1_CO_PA_<%CL>_<%ERK . We can change this name if necessary however the prefix 1_CO_PA is Mandatory.
    Data Source-Segment Table:
Characteristics from the segment table are the characteristics that are maintained in transaction KEQ3.
By Default all characteristics are selected.
    Data Source-Accounting Base:
When we generate CO-PA Data Source select accounting based option.
Fields KOKRS, BUKRS, KSTAR are compulsory.
There are no Characteristics available for line Items because accounting based data sources do not contain characteristics.
There are no value fields or calculated key figures available
KOKRS and PERIO must be selected as selection fields.
    Hope it will helps you........

  • Cost center Group & Assessment cycle

We are running CC reports for CC groups X and Y - Report GR55, Report group 1000 - Run in both currencies Pesos and USD by running in both currency modes.
    Requirement:
    1) How can we see the net balance in CC reports after assessments out = 0 in both Pesos and USD currencies.
    2) Where we can see the link between Cost center Group and Assessment cycle.
    Thanks,
    Raju

    Hi,
    1) You will see the credit entries in the report after the assessment is run. Here, report should have configured in such a way, you can see both debit and credit entries.
    2) If you have assigned the KSB1 Actual cost line report to the report, you can doubte click and see from which cost centers the values have flown through assessment.
    Trust this helps much!
    Cheers!

  • Text Fields Not Reporting

My company is getting into quizzes. Specifically, quizzes after training classes. After some stumbling around in terms of getting reporting to work (anyone who's tried to get email working for quizzes knows what I'm talking about, I think), we've got things more or less working.
We'd like to include some user-entered data on each quiz. This is just basic stuff like Name, Course name, etc. Initially, we looked like we had two options: create a new survey slide for each thing we want to include, or create text captions to store the info. The latter idea was more appealing to us, as we could throw everything we wanted onto one slide. However, in testing this idea, it seems that the data entered in our test captions is not making it into the final report file.
I have the "Include in Quiz" option selected, which as far as I can tell, should be all I need. Does any one know of any tricks to use to get text captions to be included in reports? Or is this just another part of Captivate's not-entirely-sparkling quiz reporting features?

    Hello,
I have been reporting the result of TEB's to our LMS (Blackboard based). For the moment I'm in college (teaching) and do not have access to my CP-assessments. When I get home tonight (here 8:50 AM) I'll try to check the settings for those assessments. Are you posting as SCORM 1.2 or 2004? And what were you Manifest settings?
Sorry not to be able to send an answer right away.

  • Cost center and proit center bi reports

    hi all ;
we want to prepare bi reports for cost center and profit centers same as r/3 report standard and r/3 features in bi so help me out in this how to follow iam new to bi l
    regards
    ram

    Hi Raman..
Cost Center : It provides information on the costs incurred by your business. Within SAP, you have the ability to assign Cost Centers to departments and /or Managers responsible for certain areas of the business as well as functional areas within your organization. Cost Centers can be created for such functional areas as Marketing, Purchasing, Human Resources, Finance, Facilities, Information Systems, Administrative Support,  Legal, Shipping/Receiving, or even  Quality.
Some of the benefits of Cost Center  : (1) Managers can set Budget /Cost Center targets; (2) Cost Center visibility of functional departments/areas of your business; (3)  Planning ; (4) Availability of Cost allocation methods; and (5) Assessments/Distribution of costs to other cost objects.
Profit Center : provides visibility of an organizationu2019s profit and losses by profit center. The methods which can be utilized for EC-PCA (Profit Center Accounting) are period accounting or by  the cost-of-sales approach. Profit Centers can be set-up to identify product lines, divisions, geographical regions, offices, production sites or by functions. Profit Centers are used for Internal Control purposes enabling management  the ability to review areas of responsibility within their organization. The difference between a Cost Center and a Profit Center is that the Cost Center represents individual costs incurred during a given period and Profit Centers contain the balances of costs and revenues.

  • From date and to date in report

    Hello,
I am working in Objective Setting and Assessments , I am using Infoset 0PAH_IS01, I have added 0PAH_DS01 in that.
In Reports I have created Variable for VALID FROM DATE and VALID TO DATE (BEGDA &ENDDA) form appraisal Document ID
In that selection screen first start date is coming after that end date is coming, I want to show it in paralled like
Appraisal stat date to appraisal End date.
I tried with replacement path, but not able to get, if i have to write customer exit, wt i have to do and what will be that coading.
    Pl. suggest.
    Thanks
Edited by: shalini on Nov 25, 2009 7:00 AM

This can be psooblie but you need to write user exit for the same while calculation .
    1) Create variable of type interval on time characterisitcs (e.g.0calmonth).
    2) Now if your from and to values are coming from diffenrent time charactersitcs then you need to pass the i/p values to those time characterisitcs .

  • How to compare two columns and provide a report

hi guys any idea on this one i have a table in apex
    which looks like this                                                Create table Assessments ( USER_ID varchar(40) , Assessed number ) ;
                                                                                         CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER "TABLE_IMP_T1"
                                                                                          BEFORE
                                                                                          insert on "TABLE_IMP"
                                                                                         for each row
                                                                                         begin
                                                                                         :NEW.USER_ID := nvl(v('APP_USER'),USER);
                                                                                         :NEW.ASSESSED := ('1');
                                                                                         end;
The data in this table looks like after some inserts                          USER_ID                    ASSESSED
                                                                                                                          user1@mail                      1
                                                                                                                          user2@mail                       1
                                                                                                                          user3@mail                       2
                                                                                                                          user4@mail                       7
Then i have another table that has fixed values in it which is called    Assessments_complete  the data in this table looks like                 USER_ID             Assessments_2do
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       user1@mail                       1
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        user2@mail                      1
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        user3@mail                      3
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        user4@mail                     10
What id like to do is create a report in apex that compares the to tables  and would have columns in the report to shows the USER_ID ,  ASSESSED  ,  Completed   so it would look something like
    USER_ID                      ASSESSSED                    COMPLETE
    USER1@MAIL               1                                         yes
    USER2@MAIL               1                                         yes
    USER3@MAIL               2                                         no
    USER4@MAIL               7                                         no
So why it shows no for user3@mail and user4@mail is because there Assessments 2do is not he same as Assessed
    Any ideas guys

    SCW,
I'm sure there is a clever way to cascade functions to avoid adding an auxiliary column in your practice table, but to me it wouldn't be worth the aggravation. I would add a column that concatenates Columns A & B, AWG & mils. This column can be anywhere and would be Hidden. Let's say your new column is Column N.
In Column N, fill the body rows with:
    =A&"-"&B
As good Numbers programming form would indicate, let's name the Practice Table Practices and only put the practices in that table. In another table where you do the lookup, let's call it Program, we will have the calculation/lookup.
Based on your example, I'd guess that AWG may be in Column D and mils in Column E of your Program table, and the Soak lookup in Column F. If I'm wrong, adjust the column id.
    In Column F, write:
    =OFFSET(Practices::I$1,MATCH(D&"-"&E, Practices::N,0)−1, 0)
The hyphen in the concatenated representation of the combination of AWG and mils is just tp make it more readable.
As I'm sure you know, you could use other approaches, but since I had you put your aux column at the end of your Practices table, OFFSET with MATCH is a clean approach. INDEX could be used too.
    Here's an illustration:

  • Quiz Reporting - Best Practice?

I have been experiencing issues with the email quiz result function. No score in the email. I have tried as an attachment and in the body. Note: I've got this function to work at other job sites.
What is the best workaround for this? Another app such as Questionmark? The company I am working for is not using an LMS. I thought of using Moodle. Would each user need to be a student? That would be too many extra steps.
I need to be able to track users pass/fail information.
Ideas on best practice for assessments with no LMS?

  • A Quality report as a tool for the Quality management of Web services

    Hi everybody,
I would like to explain and discuss my current research project with you:
The differentiation from competitors is crucial for the economic success of a product. This differentiation can be achieved in addition to price and the date of the market entry through the product quality. To differentiate the quality of products, it is necessary to distinguish between several relevant product characteristics, to determine their values, to evaluate these values and to relate this evaluation to the evaluation of other products. Techniques for the determination of the quality of a product are used in many areas of the quality management, e.g. in the quality assessment.
Web Services are software systems supporting a machine-machine interaction over a network. Web services are often used as modules in different software architectures, especially in Service-oriented architectures (SOA).
In the course of quality management of a Web service applied in software consequently needs appropriate procedures and quality models as means to determine the quality. As there is a lack, research is needed in this field.
In order to eliminate the described deficit, a procedure is to develop that helps to determine the quality of a Web service. A report is conceivable which integrates all relevant views, all influences on the quality and all phases of the life cycle of a Web services.
During the research a lot of similarities between Life cycle assessments of environmental management and the quality management have been identified. These similarities include e.g. principles, procedures and the terminology. Since the Life cycle assessments relate on the product life cycle, on the stakeholders and on all relevant product characteristics, an adaption of the method on the quality management of software seems to be promising.

I would like to answer the following two research questions:
    - Is it possible to adapt the principles and procedures of Life cycle assessment and Sustainability reporting to the quality management of Web services?
    - Is a quality report based on these findings an appropriate tool for quality management?
Do you have any experiences with the quality management of Web services? Which procedures do you use to determine the quality of Web services? How are your experiences with that procedures? Where are their weaknesses?

  • Manager Reporting Tool Needed

If this iTunesU is really going to be successful it needs a way to add quizes/assessments and to have a reporting tool for managers to check on the progress of students work assignments and the scores (even pass/fail would be ok)
So far all I see is a way of publishing materials for students to self study - a good start but can we share in the Apple roadmap plans to make this amarket leader in education for both schools and business.
Anyone have ideas on third party tools for now?
The only idea I can think of is to have a link on the footer of an iBook that will open a macro on a network that can run a question/answer log.
    Graham, London

You can provide formal feedback to Apple using the product feedback forum:

If you are associated with an educational institution, you could also talk to your Apple account rep.

  • COPA assessments

    Hey All
Is there any way to reverse the signs in COPA assessments. For eg. FI has a balance of $100 which is to be assessed to COPA. When assessed the COPA gets the same value $100. Can I make some setting to change it to $100- in COPA. The record type here is D and VF is Sales rebates which has transfer +/- indicator checked in KE4i. For record type "F" postings to this VF i get the reverse signs in COPA which is correct. I want the same thing for assessments in COPA

    Hi Ankur
You cannot reverse costs while allocating from CCA to COPA... Most of the values in COPA are updated as absolute values i.e. without a +/- sign.. Only exception is Reversals, Cr memo....
So, you let the assessment happen with +ve sign.. Post the assessment amount to a separate Value Field...In your report definition in KE34/35, you can subtract this amount using the Formula....
Eg: System updates Sales revenue 100 USD and Sales rebates allocated by you as 10 USD... You need to show net revenue as 100-10 = 90.. which is possible in report definition
What you are trying is Sales revenue as 100 USD and update the allocated amount as -10... If you achieve this, you would use formula in report painter as 100+ (-10) = 90....
Hence, the end result would be the same...

  • Reporting Progress and Scores in LMS

    Hi all,
I am having some trouble incorporating my Captivate presentations into an LMS and getting it to report both progress and assessments correctly.  This could be a lengthy post, so I apologize in advance.
Let me start by including my current setups:
The desired outcome is as follows:
    Progress
    - I want to report progress up until the exam; for instance, if a user leaves midway through, on slide 15 of 30, Captivate should relaunch on slide 15 for that user
    - Once I get to the exam, users should not be able to backtrack to previous slides.
    - If the user starts the exam, but doesn't finish, it should report to the LMS whatever score was earned, counting unanswered questions as 0's.
    - Once an exam is failed, and this is the tricky part, I want the course to completely restart.  Right now, it's loading mid-exam, and if I try to go back, it chain-pauses the presentation; possibly a conflict since I have it set to not allow users to go back once the exam is started.  Essentially, once a score is reported, I want to wipe the cookie saving the progress clean.
Is there a way I can achieve all of this through Captivate?
Any help would be MUCH appreciated.  Right now, the best compromise I can come up with to check "Never Send Resume Data" and not save a users progress - but when I turn this off, it also isn't communicating the exam scores to the LMS either.
    Thanks in advance!

I can't promise that you can have everything you want, but perhaps some of your wishes are certainly doable in Captivate.
I note from your settings that you have the course Report Status set to track Complete/Incomplete rather than Pass/Fail, yet you talk about wanting the user to complete "exam" quiz questions and you also have Report Data set to Quiz Results Only.  There's something inherently contradictory about these settings. Complete/Incomplete is mostly for recording slide views. If recording quiz results is most important, I think you should really be using Pass/Fail.  It's an either/or decision. Most LMSs are far more likely to be reliable on the Pass/Fail setting and some just don't do Complete/Incomplete at all anyway.
I would also recommend you change your Report to LMS setting to Percent rather than Score.  In my experience, Percent is more LMS "friendly".
For starters, there are two mechanisms available for allowing the user to resume a course module at the same point they left off:
One option is to tick the option in TOC settings for Self-paced Learning.  This writes data to a Shared Object (Flash Cookie) on the user's PC that records the slide they finished on.  Captivate doesn't provide a means to erase this cookie out of the box.  You'd have to get some programming done in AS3 to achieve that extra functionality.
Option 2 is to untick the box in LMS Customisation Settings for Never Send Resume Data.  This then will mean the Captivate lesson DOES send resume data to the LMS.  With this option you are depending on the LMS to keep track of where your user got up to.  But be warned.  This setting is more reliable when it comes to tracking which scored object (e.g, a quiz question slide) the user got up to.  I'm not sure how reliable it is when it comes to tracking slide views because each LMS is slightly different as to it's abilities to track data. In my experience, using Self-Paced Learning is better for straight out slide view tracking, but it's also a pain when users that completed the course come back later to browse the content again because they get shunted straight to the last slide.  Quite annoying.  So I don't use it.
Now for some of your other wishes:
To prevent users backtracking to previous slides once they've reached the exam, simply disable Backward movement under Quiz Settings.  Remember that as far as Captivate is concerned, the quiz begins at the very first scored object, which might be a button or click box, not necessarily the first quiz question.
If a user only partially completes an exam, the LMS should still receive a score for each completed quiz question slide as long as you have Reporting Level set to Interactions and Score.  But be aware that this means the LMS will be getting pinged by the course after each and every user interaction, which can place quite a load on the LMS if there are lots of simultaneous users.
By default in Captivate, if a user gets a question wrong they get no score for that question.  So that one is easy.
Your final wish is to force the entire quiz to restart if the user flunks it.  I may be misunderstanding your drift but why not just allow the user multiple attempts at the quiz?  You can set this under Quiz > Settings > Pass/Fail.  Tick the box for Show Retake Quiz Button and place this button right over the top of the Review Quiz button on the Quiz Results slide.  The user will only see the Retake Quiz button if they fail the quiz and when they click it, their previous quiz answers are erased, effectively forcing them to redo the entire quiz.  Wouldn't that get you what you want?
One more thing.  Beware of the options in the drop down menu under Quiz > Settings > Required. I generally set this to Optional, as some of the other settings can cause unpredictable results with LMSs.
Hopefully this info will get you closer to your goals.
