Repost: Where is the Weather widget in the iOS 7 Notification Center?

I will award ten points to a verified "no" or "yes" with a brief explanation how to enable.
I understand it is not a full widget, but that's what Apple used to call it in iOS 5 and 6. Anyway, let me give more information. I cleared all of my notifications. This means that the All and Missed tabs are completely empty. Swiping to the left and right just brings me to these empty menus. I have everything turned on except for Stocks in the Notification Center. My "Today" view consists of Today Summary, Calendar Day View, and the Tommorow Summary tab at the very bottom. There is no mention at all about Weather at all in Settings>Notification Center, which leads me to think Apple just dumped this feature. Can anyone verify this?

The Weather is still there.  Make sure the Weather App is allowed access to Location services.
Settings->Prvacy->Location Services->Weather.
Then Open the weather App to generate the Weather for your current location and it should appear in the Today tab under the date.
Its a Text Blurb now with no images.

  • Weather in the IOS 7 Notification Center

Am I missing something, why isn't weather showing up in the notification Center of IOS7?

Same here. I don't see any weather at all. I saw a screenshot example online of the text-based weather information, but my Notification Center isn't showing that.
My Location Services are definitely turned on and Weather isn't listed as an option in my Notification Center settings.

  • How do I disable birthdays from the iOS 5 notification center?

I don't think it can be done - I hope it's not intended to work this way.

    Same here!
I'm syncing my iPhone 4 (iOS5) with Outlook. Birthdays are stored with my contacts and created in the Outlook calendar. Thus they are synced to the iPhone-calendar. But as I sync the contacts as well, my iPhone creates a birthday calender. This one can be hidden in the iOS-Calender-App, but the birthdays show up in the notification center no matter if the calender is hidden or not.
I'd be nice if you could just disable the automatic birthday calender function of iOS and get rid of the double notifications and crowded NC.

  • I cannot view any weather info in iOS 7 Notification Center. Any ideas how to turn this widget on? Stocks and daily calendar are there, just not weather.

Location services are on. Weather app is installed. I can get weather info if I go to the app. That info is completely nonexistent in the pull down Notification Center.
    Any ideas?

Never mind.. I turned off location services for the weather app, turned it back on and now it's magically working.

  • Can I change the calendar view in IOS 7 notification center?

IOS 6 Notification Center showed the calendar info in a LIST view, showing all events for that day (timed and untimed events).  IOS 7 only seems to allow a view that looks like an excerpt from the DAY view of the calendar.  It takes up more space than the previous version and shows less info, only 1/2 at a time.  Does anyone know if there is a way to change that view in Notification Center?

    Hi MET-24!
You can see the list view for your calendar in iOS 7 by following the steps to search for an event, which are found in the iOS 7 user guide on page 68:

  • How to make weather show up in the iOS 7 Notification Centre?

    Hi there,
I can't get weather to show up in the notification centre for the new iOS7. Any suggestions?
    Brandon

Why do I need location services on? In iOS6 weather was available with WiFi or EDGE or 3G, I just input the city manually and it showed in the Notification Center. I had only one city like I do now.
I'd like to have the same in iOS7 as location services uses more battery.

  • Where is the iOS 5 Help Application?

In the course if fixing doubled up contacts with no attached account (probably legacy MobileMe contacts) after upgrading to iOS 5,  I did a restore and rebuilt the content from iCloud and iTunes.  After I got done, the 123 iOS manual application had disappeared.  I can't find it in the iTunes App Store or in Downloads.  Does anyone know where to find it?  I did another restore from backup and it did not appear again.  My theory was that it comes with the iOS software.

I found the answer in the iOS 5 manual.

  • Where is the iOS 5 upgrade? (Oct 12th)

ok so I'm relatively new to the apple device world-- and I love my ipad 2-- but I was told the iOS 5 upgrade would be available today via iTunes.  I updated to iTunes 10.5 already but the only upgrade I got this morning was 4.3.5, which is definitely not iOS 5.
So what is the trick???  I check for the upgrade a few times but it says it's completely up-to-date.  Is Apple upgrading devices in a phased approach, making my update not yet available, or is Apple just overwhelmed with the update?  Was hoping to have my new iOS before I trudged out the door
    Thanks for the help!

  • IOS 6 to iOS 7.... The Struggle w Notification Center

    Hi Guys!
I am a long time iPhone user and I currently have an iPhone 5 on Sprint. I just dowloaded the new iOS 7 and there are some things that I enjoy and lots of things that I DO NOT.... If anyone has any fixes for this I would love to hear them! Thanks so much!
My BIGGEST stuggle is that I lost my "List" view in calendar and in the notification center.... That is hands down the biggest thing I used my iPhone for besides texting. I have a very busy schedule and I rely very heavily on my phone to keep my calendar straight. Does anyone know any way to get the new iOS to display more than one thing on the screen...
I want to go back to where it had all my calendar events displayed with the time at the very top of the screen just below the weather...
Bringing me to my next issue...
I do not have the weather in my nofication center! Yet on the bottom it says weather provided by yahoo... but I have no weather!
Anyway - these may seem silly but they are important to me so if anyone has any fixes for these I would LOVE your help!
    Have a great day!
    Best,
    Amanda

Upgrading  from 6 to 7 and downgrading from 8 to 7 is exactly the same thing. You're trying to install IOS 7 when it is no longer officially available. Your sister got lucky, your iPad could turn into a brick. Should you attempt to install IOS 7 and something goes wrong Apple won't help you and we are prevented from helping.

  • How to change font size of the date in notification center?

The language of yosemite system on my macbook pro is “Traditional Chinese”. If the month and day of  a date are both composed of two characters, for example, Oct 23 (“10月23日” in Chinese), the last character of the date will go to a new line (as shown in the picture attached). It’s ugly!!!
I think this issue can be solved by decrease the font size of the date. Is there anyone knows how to do this or where the configuration file of the notification center is? Thanks!

AFAIK there is no way to customize this font size. You can't resize the window either.
You need to report it to Apple Feedback so it can be logged and put in the queue to be fixed.

  • My mail is not updating in notification center, I cant receive the mail in notification center, help?

Hi, I recently purchased a copy of Mac OS X Mountain Lion, after playing around with notification center I realized that if I get new mail I have to open my mail in the application so that it can appear in the notification center, why cant it just appear in notification center without having to open mail, thanks.

You have to open Mail. The reason is unknown now, but Apple can add it in an update soon

  • After the most recent iOS update, notification center doesn't show messages from people who are on "do not disturb mode". Anyone know how to fix it?

Originally, even if I had some messages on the "do not disturb" mode, I would still be able to preview them in the notification center. After the latest update about a week or so ago, the only messages that appear are the ones that aren't on "do not disturb". I've tried taking them all off the DND mode and turning it back on, messed with the settings, even turned my phone off and on, but nothing is working.
    Any ideas?

Follow-up to my earlier post that iPhone 6 Bluetooth not working correctly.  I purchased a Jawbone MiniJambox to use as a speaker phone in my office.  Everyone in our company thinks they are the best.  However, it is experiencing the same issues as with all my other Bluetooth headsets.  Everything works except cannot answer or hang up calls pushing the buttons on the Bluetooth devices.  The Bluetooth patio speakers in our courtyard also have the same issue.  However, my colleagues using iPhone 5 and 5s who did not update to iOS8 are using all Bluetooth devices without any issues.  Apple says it is a problem with my Bluetooth device.  Come on Apple.... This makes 7 different Bluetooth devices with different manufacturers.  You cannot possibly believe the problem is with the Bluetooth devices when iOS7 works perfectly fine...
On another issue, my iPhone 5s worked perfectly fine in my vehicle entertainment center connected via USB.  The vehicle entertainment center had complete control of my iPhone and iTunes.  However, now I plug in my new iPhone 6 and it no longer communicates with my vehicle entertainment center.  Again when I called Apple, they said my vehicle entertainment center needed a firmware update.  Are you kidding me...  That is a bunch of BS...!!!

  • Can We Configure the iOS 7 Control Center?

Is there a way to individually configure the Control Center?
I added the suggestion below to www.apple.com/feedback, but should have asked first.
Subject:   Add Cellular Data & Location Buttons to iOS 7 Control Center
We often have days when we don't have the opportunity to recharge our iPhones adequately.  At such times conserving battery power is paramount.  However, the buttons for Cellular Data and Location require several steps each to turn on and off.
Please add buttons for Cellular Data and Location to the Control Center so they can be accessed easily to better conserve battery power.

No, it is a core component of iOS and not user configurable, with one exception.  On the iPad, under general settings, there is the option of what to use the side switch for - mute, or lock rotation.  Changing that will change the corresponding (right-most) button in NC.  However, that does not apply to an iPhone anyway.
BTW, just us fellow users here, so submitting this via the Apple feedback link was the right way to actually get the idea seen by Apple.

  • Weather App that reports to your notification center at a specified time?

    Here's the scenario:
I work outdoors and live in the Midwest so the weather can and often does vary A LOT from day to day.
I plug my iPad in for the night and go to sleep.
When I wake up, I hit the home button to see my notification center. Contained there is the report from this weather app, telling me the basic information immediately: Current temperature, the day's high/low, any preciptiation chance.
Now here's the added bonus that I really want:
Everyone knows the temperature changes drastically from night to day, so a temperature reading would need to be taken near to the time that you wake up. What if you could set this app to display the information at a certain time? It's a concept just like an alarm where an action is triggered at a specified time, in this case, weather readings. Say I'm getting up at 6am. I'd set the app to report at 5:55am or something like that.
OR the much simpler apprach would just be to add a weather widget of some sort to the lock screen. If that's an option, I'd gladly go for that as well.
So does anything like this exist?
    Thanks to all!
    [EDIT]
I found the solution to my question. I had a feeling it was something really easy that I was just missing. Thanks! Feel free to delete this thread. I would but I'm not sure how or if I even can.

You are correct that things would be easier if it was automatic. However, you will generally find that it is a program with a built-in scheduler, such as a backup program or a video recording program, that left some code behind even if the program was trashed or removed from the system.
As far as the PDP11, I don't think I could afford the electricity to run one even if I had one. The PDP11 is the first computer I was exposed to in medical imaging. I list it because every once in a while it draws out the truth from folks like yourself when they admit to knowing what one is.
I think the first disk drives that thing used were housed in recycled washing machines using the old motors to drive the spindles.
