Request is in yellow.

While extracting the data from r/3 to bi, of payroll data source by filtering months in infopackage, the records are coming but the request is in yellow.
the error message is
1. No assignment of payroll data to BW month for country grouping
Message no. HR_BW_PY99026
so i did Choose: R/3 Customizing Implementation Guide -> Integration with Other SAP Components -> Business Information Warehouse -> Settings for Application-Specific DataSources -> Human Resources -> Assigning Payroll Data to a BW Month.
according to the message error aolution and forums , i havent got solution

from the functional team, Country grouping is only for 40 not for others. if i enter other country groups which were displayed in application log which are not there in payroll data to bw month. then it displays and shows remaining logs which are already present but i forget to mention in the post. they are
*DataSource 0HR_PY_1 does not support CE results (employee 00100920) *
OR
if i make it green , still the logs will present . is there any problem in future?

PSA request is in yellow status

We got the problem when loading the 2LIS_03_BF data into cube. We have around 4 cubes and 2 ods.
The data got loaded into all the cubes and ods except on Cube. There was a problem of table space and now it is solved.
Now the request is in yellow status in PSA. It cube it shows no of records added and transferred but the status is in red color.
How can i upload the delta data into the cube from PSA when PSA request is in yellow color.
I feel strange that when the request is in yellow color how come the data is loaded into all other cubes.

You should be able to load request from PSA to data target using the option available in PSA. When you manage on Datasource, you see all requests. You can select that PSA request and use Scheduler option in that screen to update that particular request. It will run infopackage as usual. It will execute all the routines if there are any in update rules.
When you say you have some programs running in process chain, they must be after this failed load right?
If that is the case, all you need to do is push process chain further. Below are steps to push process chain further if you any step is stuck in yellow or if mually carry out any red step in process chain. In you case, load that failed step manually using scheduler form PSA manage tab and then push PC further using these steps. That will continue PC further and run any programs that run after load.
Execute in SE38 -> RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH
Fill the following parameters on screen and rest all can be left blank.
1. LOGID - you will find this when you do monitor of your process chain. Every time you run process chain, unique LOGID is created.
2. TYPE - If step is ODS activation then TYPE wud be ODSACTIVAT and if it is infopak loading TYPE wud be LOADING and if it is DTP Load TYPE wud be LOAD. In your case it will be LOADING.
3. VARIANT - In the process chain monitor mode, right click on step which you executed manually -> Display Messages. Go to chain tab and there you will find VARIANT
4. INSTANCE - In the process chain monitor mode, right click on step which you executed manually -> Display Messages. Go to chain tab and there you will find INSTANCE
5. STATE - Value wud be G
After entering above parameters, click execute. It will be done in fraction of second and wont give any popup. Now when you will check process chain monitor, you will see that step 4 is green and next step has started executing.

Datasource 0UC_SWTMSGDATA - request remains in yellow state

hi all,
we are using the datasource 0UC_SWTMSGDATA to extract message data for the switch documents.
every time we scheduled the infopackage to load data into sap bi, the datasource extracts all data records to the bi.
but at the end, when all records arrived at bi, the request remains in yellow state.
do you have the same problem? what's the reason?
we are already using the datasource 0UC_SWTDOC, it works fine.

Hi,
You have to check the job status in SM37 in R/3 system. If it shows "Active mode", then you will be getting Yellow color in BW. You may have to wait till the job gets finished in R/3.
Sometimes, transferring I-Docs take time.

Data Request remains in yellow status after RSAPO_CLOSE_TRANS_REQUEST

Dear all,
I am working on BI 7.0 and I need to load data from a Real-Time Cube (in planning mode) to a Standard Cube. I am using a Process Chain with a program which calls function module RSAPO_CLOSE_TRANS_REQUEST providing the technical name of the Real-Time cube to this function module. I see that this function module works in general, because afterwards I see the number of data records transferred and added appearing in the data request. However, the status of the data request is still yellow. In order to load the data from this cube to another it has to be in green. It is not acceptable to do this manually, it has to be automated. Data entry on the Planning Cube is via a BI-IP Query. The data arrives correctly in the cube, when checking the InfoCube content the data appears to be fine.
I have used this function module in many projects without such a problem. Does anyone have an idea why the data request is not set in green status?
I have also tried to use the function modules RSAPO_SWITCH_TRANS_TO_BATCH and RSAPO_SWITCH_BATCH_TO_TRANS to convert from Planning mode to normal mode and then back from normal to planning mode. The result is the same, data request remains yellow.

I have tried this with the standard Process Chain steps to switch the mode, but the issue remains. It first switches the Cube to Load-Mode, I see data records in the request being added to the cube, the next step tries to switch the cube back into Planning mode, This step now gives an error because the data request is in yellow status, so the cube cannot be switched back to planning.
Error Message:
Request APO_R4EX2HO4TYDLBCNQPQY82K8ZOJ(0000020181) is yellow or red in InfoCube DRI_P301; cannot switch to planning
Message no. RSM068
The Problem is that after the Cube was switched to Load-mode the request is still yellow.
I do not understand why data records get added to the cube but the request does not get turned into green status. Any more ideas?

PSA Request struck in yellow state if no data is available

If there is no data available in the source system then the PSA reuest in the Datasource is not updated as sucess rather it is struck in yellow state.
However, if there is data available then there is no issue.
We are running a delta load through a Process chain and daily we have to manually set the satus to sucess for the chain to continue its execution.
Any help would be appreciated

Time out time(TOT)
This settings are useful when we have huge data and load will take more time. in general default time out time maintained some number(ex 7hours).
when that time was crossed we get time out time error for info pack. in that case we need to increase the wait time for info pack.
Treatment for warning(TFW) - if we receive any warning during the load in default request will be red. in generally warnings are allowed. once you check what is the warning, after that accordingly warning message you can make request to green.

Delta request is always yellow

I've an ODS which is filled with several infosources and one of them is an infoobject with data master.This ODS is uploaded daily.
Sometimes, the infoobject does not have new records and the request stays yellow.
What should i do? Change manually for green?

y r u loading the same ods daily....?once u loaded some datas..more over if u want to load some more no of datas...just change ur source file only in the loaded part...which should have contained new datas...anyother old datas in that file means...u must load with delta mode..bcs of the duplicate datas may occur in loaded file....that also showing like that kind of error....or stays the yellow button....orelse....u create one new ods &new master for extra added datas....
u can see that error(duplicate datas occured)in yellow button stays page itself ...
end of the request ill show that error....just check it...
assign some points if applicable...

Request Status Stay Yellow

Hi Expets,
I am using load 0HR_PT_2.
Because the load gets warning in the source system the request stay in status yellow
(HR say all the data is good)
In the Details tab of the monitor under Extraction i see the warning
"warnings have appeared when extracting data" (message R3 401)
And i have to change it to green every morning (because all the data is in received in to the BW)
how can ignore the warnings or chagne it to green automaticly?
Or what else can i do?

Hi,
In the DTP on the extraction tab you can set the DTP extraction mode to ignore warning and make the request status as green. Once you do this setting your request will become green automatically.
But I don't know if there is any similar setting in BI 3.5.

insource i have 14 records, i am running infopackge load to psa? i loaded immediately, its showing yellopw with 0-0 records.

U hav checked the extraction job?................it is in released state..................right......
Hav u checked the RFC connection(SM59).............is it ok........
If still it is released state..............as already mentioned.................load at this time in ur system is huge................due to this there are no free work process...............u can try to change the server and then run the load....................Go to SM66...........there check which servers are showing in Waiting state............that means loads are not much in those servers..................then go to SM51.............double click on the desired server...............then in the top where we write tcode.........there write /n........................a new session will open...................now u r in the new server..........here again execute the load.....................it may progress here............but be careful.............since already one job is in schedule state.............after some time it may become active...........at that time u hav to cancel the job.................otherwise load will fail due to lock issue................

Generic delta problem : in init load, the request is in yellow.......

I have created a table in R/3, and created a Generic data source using this table, and coming to deltas, i have selected Numeric pointer in which I have given the sales document number which comes from the table as the Delta relevant field. And the other things like replication, creation of info source, info package did well and I als got Initialization option in Info Package, but when I schedule the load, its coming in yellow signal and says that 0 records from 0 records, and gives error message as no records in the source system. This is the case if I use Init option in Info package.
If I use Full load option in info pack, every thing is fine and I am able to extract the data from R/3 with out any problem, the load is getting succeeded.
The only problem is with deltas. Is there anything else to do on R/3 side to enable the delta mechanism? or is it required to use functional module to enable the deltas ( I read this in some posts)? Please give me some solution.

There is no need to make any settings of delta...in general..it should work as similar as your full load....try to locate the problem area..and revert...
Advise, check if there are any previous init. and delete...otherwise create a new
infopackage and try..

Request Status stays yellow after successful load

We recently started loading two infocubes from the same data source.
- The Monitor shows that the load completed normally with no errors.
- Manage on the first cube shows that the status is green and the data available for reporting.
- Manage on the second cube shows the data is not avaialble and the status is yellow.
There seems to be no problems with the load. I can manualy force the status from yellow to green and the data is available for reporting. But I don't want to have to manully change the status after each load. Any ideas on why the status stays yellow? Any thoughts on what I can do?

Looks like your suggestion will solve this. It was not checked for the one that was staying yellow. It was checked for the cube that would go to green. I'll run a test then come back and award points.

Request in Yellow State in Delta update cube.

In request , no. of transfered record is 73260 & added record in cube 73212 with yellow status. Everything O.K. but in Data package 2 in update rule it has tranfered only 16247 out of 16295. ( this is same diffrence of number of records as in cube ) .
PSA request is also in yellow state.

How to delete request in yellow traffic light?

Hi experts:
I created one infopackage yesterday to load the vendor text from our DEV source system. Its update mode is "Initialize Delta Process". When I right click on the infopackage and select manage, I see this request is still in yellow and 'Request has a yellow traffic light in the monitor - Cannot be deleted.' And when I go to Data selection I got the information: "Init. select. for field name currently running in request ***".
Does anybody know how to delete the request still in running or in yellow traffic?
Another thing is when I double click on the infopackage a warning message will pop up with: " Assign a language field to IOBJ 0LANGU; danger of short dump". Do I need to take care of this warning?

Hi,
Make the request forcefully into RED and then delete it, you can do it in RSMO or goto Obejct and Manage and then Click on YELLOW color Ball and then it will popup one window there make to red and delete it.
The reasons for Yellow
Check the DataSource in RSA3, if it is working fine and able to see the data in RSA3, there is no problem in DS level, then checl the Mappings and any routines in BW for that DS, if this is also fine then check the below options.
See Dumps in ST22, SM21 also.
Check RFC Connection between ECC and BW systems, i.e. RSA1-->Source System->Right Click on Source system and Check.
You must have the following profiles to BWREMOTE or ALEREMOTE users.So add it. Bcoz either of these two users will use in background to get extract the data from ECC, so add these profiels in BW.
S_BI-WHM_RFC, S_BI-WHM_SPC, S_BI-WX_RFC
And also check the following things.
1.Connections from BW to ECC and ECC to BW in SM59
2.Check Port,Partner Profiles,and Message Types in WE20 in ECC & BW.
3.Check Dumps in ST22, and SM21.
4.If Idocs are stuck i.e see the OLTP Idoc numbers in RSMO Screen in (BW) detials tab see in bottom, you can see OLTP Idoc number and take the Idoc numbers and then goto to ECC see the status in WE05 or WE02, if error then check the log else goto to BD87 in ECC and give the Idoc numbers and execute manually and see in RSMO and refresh.
5.Check the LUWs struck in SM58,User Name = * (star) and run it and see Strucked LUWs and select our LUW and execute manually and see in RSMO in BW.

REQUEST STATUS YELLOW WHILE MONITOR STATUS GREEN - BI7

I try to load data with 0CO_OM_OPA_1, 0CO_OM_WBS_1 into Z cubes which are similar to the business content cubes 0OPA_C11 and 0WBS_C11 respectively.
ETL is BW3.5 (transfer rule and update rules). When I look at the request in the monitor, I see that everything is green but the request status is yellow and not available for reporting. I can change the status to green manually but this is not a good solution for me.
By the way the same load works well with te standart cubes.
I use BI7 but I use BW3.5 business content.
What could be the reason for such problems?

We have exactly the same proble. Have you found a solution to it? I'm using Datasource 0HR_PT_2 to load data into Infocube ZPT_C01 (a copy of 0PT_C01). The monitor of the infopackage is green. There are no errors whatsoever. The status for the request in the Infocube>Manage is set to yellow and the data is not available for reporting. I can set it manually to green, but as you said yourself, it'd be nice to have an automated wway of doing this. Is there any way around this problem?

Possibillity to close yellow request with ABAP?

Hello experts,
is there any possibility (function module, program, ...) to close the yellow request of a transactional cube ? The reason why we need this functionality is to load all data from our BCS cube to another cube during the day via process chain. This means that we aren't allowed to switch the BCS cube from transactional to normal and back, which would also make the yellow request green.
Any ideas?

Please follow the steps to make the request Red .
If the same you want to include in the Process chain and automate the process you can incude a process type which has a ABAP code attached to it .
Follow the below procedure to make yellow request to RED:
Use SE37, to execute the function module RSBM_GUI_CHANGE_USTATE
From the next screen, for I_REQUID enter that request ID and execute.
From the next screen, select 'Status Erroneous' radiobutton and continue.
This Function Module, change the status of request from Green / Yellow to RED.
Once it is RED, you can manually delete that request...

I am in BI 7.0. Need to delete a yellow request from master data, well it's not allowing to change it to green or red while deleting manualy.
Is there any functional module or any back groud process which can delete data by request?
