Required Delivery Date vs. Schedule Line Date vs. Calendar

Hello Experts,
The Factory Calendar shows that Monday to Friday are the only working days. Now, the user created a sales order and manually entered a date that falls on a saturday. As a result, the schedule line dates were all set on saturday. Availability check is in place and stocks are available.
My question is: Why did the system proposed saturday as the schedule line date when the calendar shows saturday is not a working day? Am i correct to conclude that the manual entry in the required delivery date in sales order is the priority in determining schedule line date? Your inputs on this scenario would be highly appreciated.

Even though Sat is a holiday, the system will propose a CSL and confirm the stocks but the delivery would be created only the next working day. This is controlled by the factory calendar.
Now, the system confirms based on the stock availability on that day, this does not mean  the delivery would be created the same day. For delivery creation the factory calendar comes into play and the lead times are calculated based on the calendar.

    I have a situation where in I am using JIT delivery schedule for processing the delivery requirement from customer. In this, lets say, I have a schedule as 08/05/2009 for material A to deliver 1000 qty and the material is made available to me after production as of 07/05/2009 and I want to despatch the material on 7th only and not on 8th. The system does not allow me to do this.It allows me to make a delivery only on 08/05/2009.
    Is there any alternative to this and is this SAP standard behaviour.

    I think you can change the schedule line date in scheduling agreement itself and do the delivery.

  • How to back date for schedule line date of Consignment Fill-Up

    Hi,
    There are available stock for the material used. In VA01 of order type KB - Consignment Fill-up, I put in a backdated schedule line date (example: 09.09.2008). However, the system automatically proposed a new schedule line date of today's date (example: 13.10.2008).
    How can I remain the backdated date with confirmed qty instead of today's date?

    when system is not able to confirm the schedule lines, the system would give a proposal date on which the requirement can be met.
    in this case ,you can do one thing , you can set the indicator " Fix date and quantity " in the item schedule line. this would fix the date and the quantity for delivery and the schedules lines.
    this would also mean the customer accepts the delivery and quantity confirmed by the system, The system then passes on MRP requirements so that the confirmed date and quantity can be met.

    Would need some help in determining how to proceed with splitting delivery based on Schedule line data (Date/Time).
    If S.A 1 has line item 10 with two schedule lines SL1 and SL2 which happened in different times of the day, how to split this S.A to two deliveries in delivery creation (thru VL10E).

    In copy control see which Split routine is there, with the help of abaper
    Copy that and create new one, an maintain your date criteria in newely created routine and assign that.

    But the Tcode that you have mentioned appears to be in the SCM system and it calls an External Procurement Relationships report. My requirement is as follows:
    I have a date generated based on the Route Schedule id (VL51, VL52) and I need to sync this date with the Goods issue date of the Sales Order created. So whenever a sales order is created with the schedule line dates, i need to modify the dates generated by the system with my dates like I will have to call a FM or a BAPI by passing the new GI date and get the new set of dates and populate them on the Sales Order schedule lines screen.
    This scenario will happen for a GATP (Global Available to Promise) where by the ECC system does a remote call to the APO system to get the new dates. I will have to modify these dates with a new set of dates created either using a FM or a BAPI and populate them again on to the screen

  • How to compare delivery date in schedule lines and PGI in outbound delivery

    I want to create a report to monitor and compare different dates in sales and delivery process.
    One of my key figure is the comparison between date confirmed to the customer, that I can find in the schedule line of the sales order, and the actual goods issue date from the outbound delivery.
    But I can't succeed in making the link between delivery and schedule lines, means between LIKP and VBEP.
    Would you have any idea?

    It seems there's no exact (table) connection / link between delivery item and schedule line item.
    Those who were searching for this thing (link / connection between delivery item and schedule line) were recommended to use FM "RV_SCHEDULE_CHECK_DELIVERIES".
    This FM calculates the delivered quantity for each schedule line, so it makes link between the delivery item and schedule lines - however if you check the code it's quite sophisticated...
    (if you put a breakpoint in the FM and display a SO in VA03, you can check how the parameters have to be populated with data).

    1. Schedule Line dates can be changed manually or by doing an availability check only.
    2. In case if you change the delivery date in the header it will not change automatically in the line item level.
    3. You need to do it manually only.

    Hi Abir,
    I think your talking about a "On time Delivery report" to track actual delivery against the quoted delivery.
    There is no standard report available in SAP for this.
    This is hard to track if you have maintained multiple schedule lines for a one single line item.
    (Where you maintain multiple delivery dates in schedule line level to quote  multiple delivery dates. If you have maintained multiple line items to quote multiple delivery dates, this would have been easy)
    Because you do your delivery based on your sales order line item. Not based on your schedule lines. Therefore in your delivery line item table (LIPS) you cannot see Schedule line number. Therefore you cannot compare quoted delivery against actual delivery date.
    Assuming you have maintained your multiple delivery dates in Schedule line level, this is how you have to proceed.
    - Use VL10E transaction to create delivery against schedule lines.
    - Create append structure in the LIPS table to accommodate to carry the schedule line item of sales order in each delivery document + Line Item combination.
    - Use this user-exit u2013include  MV50AFZ1. Can save the particular sales order schedule line in the LIPS, earlier created append structure field.
    Then you have the schedule line number available in the LIPS table, Now you can code your report to capture quoted delivery against actual delivery date.

  • Delivery is not possible as per Schedule line dates

    The schedule lines insales order are for eaxample---
    01.12.2008  -   10 pieces (quantity)
    15.12.2008  -   10
    10.01.2009  -   10
    25.01.2009  -   10
    Tried to deliver the quantity 10 dated 15.12.2008 in the last after all the materials pertaining to other dates are delivered, but system is throwing error as no schedule lines for dated 15.12.2008. But when i checked, delivery is not done for 15.12.2008 and the rest are completed.
    But system allows to deliver the balance 10 quantity either on 25.01.2009 or on a future date but not on 15.12.2008 on which delivery was not done.
    What could be the reason????

    When I see the schedule line in the sales order where in the qty in the delivered qty column (second column from the confirmed qty column) is updated item wise irrrespective of the delivery done as per scheduleline date.
    It means though the delivery and PGI is not done for the date 15.12.2008, but the qty in the delivery qty column is updated and the balace to to be delivered shows for the last date.
    So here iam able to deliver only on the last date i.e. 25.01.2009 or at a later date for the schedule line date missing in between and not on the specific date.
    Is this how SAP standard works - I was wondering why i cannot deliver any schedule line qty and date later after delivering quantities of the subsequant schedule lines.

    hello, friend.
    on the schedule lines tab, try changing the date to the present and see if delivery can be confirmed.  another way is to run the "check item availability" functionality in the sales order.
    on the document header, check what date is being proposed for "Requested Delivery Date".  this date could be proposed based on settings for the document type.  but since you indicated that there was no lead time maintained, you will have to check lead times in:
    1.  the shipping point (deliveries processing, picking, packing, etc.)
    2.  in the MRP views of the material master
    3.  transportation lead times (routes, etc.)
    4.  if externally procured, purchasing lead times

    Why in some cases the schedule line date in the sales order changes when I change the delivery date in the purchase order? whereas in other cases it does not.
    Please help me out with this question.

    The SO schedule line date should not change when you change the purchase order delivery date.
    However, if you change the PO del date, AND a user performs re-ATP against the sales order, OR if you are running backorder processing (rescheduling) of sales docs, then the SD item/schedule date may change to match the changed availability situation caused by the change of the delivery date of the PO.
    Look in the sales order in VA03, then Environment>changes.  Look to see if anyone or anything has 'touched' the SO item that is home to the schedule lines that were affected.

  • Schedule line date change in VA01/VA02

    Hi,
    My requirement is to update the schedule line date taking the lead time from purchasing info record.
    As per SAP standard it takes the factory days into consideration while generating the confirmed delivery date.
    But we have to update the date taking the working days into conideration.
    The material has multiple vendors.
    The actual vendor proposed by the sstem and the corresponding info record details are not available at the time of saving the sales order.
    I am populating this details from exit EXIT_SAPLMEQR_001 inside FM ME_SEARCH_SOURCE_OF_SUPPLY which is triggered before creating the purchase requisition.
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBEP cannot be used because this is triggered at the very early stage before the FM is triggered.
    Can some one please guide me who has worked on the similar situation to solve this problem.

    Use the form routine "USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE" in 'MV45AFZZ".  Modify the field "edatu" in strucutre "xvbep"

  • Schedule Line data problem

    Dear Friends,
    We need to create a back dated order, so after creating the sales order I have changed the document date in the header data, also changed the pricing date and required delivery date as past date.  Stock is available on that date (checked in MB5B with back date).
    But the schedule line data system is showing that confirmed quantity as today's date.  But we want to despatch the quantity on back date. In this case system does not allow to deliver in the back date.
    Can anybody suggest how to do back dated delvery.

    Deficit of BA Unrestr. prev. 8.638 TO : 95109410111 TPST ST00 1
    It is a batch material, availability check-KP(no check), material is available (checked in MB5B with back date), (here in the error 95109410111 is mateirl code, TPST is plant and ST00 is storage location and 1 is batch number)
    Please give me solution how to overcome this error.

    Hi,
    1) Scheduling Agreement is a long term agreement and PO is normally a one-off. When you have long term relation with supplier you will go with SA.
    2) SA need not have delivery schedules at the time of ordering. It's like a contract with vendor for all basic prices, quantities & terms. You will release schedules as & when required. This method is very popular with manufacturing ind (e.g. automotive) where they negotiate prices but delivery schedules are given periodically based on their actual production/sales demands.
    3) In a PO, you must give schedules in PO itself.
    4) If you know contract & release order (or call-off) concept, then SA is like contract and SA schedule is like release order. PO is release order.

    While using schedule agreement, you will create delivery schedule, when ever you require materials.
    Firm and trade off zone in delivery schedule details will be forwarded to your vendor. you can create daily , weekly , monthly schedule lines
    Example : if you have created a schedule agreement for product " A " for quantity 1000, and you require material of 100 nos in the first month, you can create schedule line for this 100 only and this will be transmitted to vendor( if you are using LPA you have to release schedule line). when ever you require further qty based on your requirement you will create another delivery schedule line, then it will be transmited to vendor.
    In case of PO if you are ordering 1000 qty , you need to specify the delivery date in Purchase order it self, and all the dates are immediately transmited to vendor along with Purchase order.
