Resending calendar appt after deleted

I had to cancel a calendar (MS Office) appt on the PC; for some reason even though the event has been deleted it keeps resending. Technically when I empty out my sent box or deleted box THEN the event resends. It's frustrating and I'm told it's my iPhone. IT suggests that I not sync my iPhone appts with Outlook -- but then what's the use of the phone?
Any help is appreciated.

Whats odd is i have two user one has no problems and the other does. Both running 3.1.2. I thought maybe it was because they were delegates to other that were receiving the invites. Who the **** knows anymore!! Something about that one users iPhone jacking things up, she just got the dang thing and can't use it at work.

  • How can you get a calendar back after deleting it

    How can you get a calendar back after deleting it

    You will have to restore the device from a backup on icloud.  (this assumes you have backups turned on in settings>icloud)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
    Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  This will erase your device.  Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

  • ICloud subscribed iCal calendar returns after deletion

    I subscribed to a calendar on my iPad, saved in iCloud. I delete it on the iPad, but it returns! I think I neeed to delete it from my iCloud storage but can't figure out how to do that. Advice please?

    In your iPhone (or iPad) go to settings/general settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars and at the top under "Accounts" you will see "Subscribed Calenars" (not in the calendar section, above that at the top of the page)... click on the calendar you want to delete and do so from there.

  • After deleting Calendar users, their subscriptions still remain, and the server crashes when accessing deleted calendars

    After deleting users from iPlanet Calendar Server(iCS), the users'
    subscriptions still remain. Then, if a user tries to unsubscribe
    from a deleted calendar, the server sometimes crashes, even though sufficient
    disk space and memory are available. When checking the HTTP log, the
    log shows that certain calendars don't exist.
    The solution to this problem is to back up the ics50gse.db
    file to another file with a different
    name, or remove the file from the db
    directory.
    <P>
    If you are upgrading your iCS, make sure the GSE database queue is empty
    before you perform the upgrade. To check the GSE database queue,
    you can use either of the following commands while the server is either
    running or stopped:
    <P>
    csschedule list
    <I>OR</I>
    csdb -v list
    <P>
    After issuing the command, if nothing is displayed, the GSE queue is empty, and
    you can proceed to step 3 below. However, if the queue does contain
    items, use the following steps to flush it:
    <P>
    <OL>
    <LI>Start the server if the server is in a <I>stopped</I> state.
    <P>
    <LI>Stop only the cshttpd
    daemon so that no new requests can
    come in.
    <P>
    Note: It should take only a few minutes for the GSE to handle any requests.
    Typically, the GSE queue will be empty.
    <P>
    <LI>Shut down iCS.
    <P>
    <LI>Rename the ics50gse.db
    file.
    <P>
    <LI>Restart the server.
    </OL>
    <P>
    If you have already upgraded the server and are experiencing the above
    mentioned problems, use the following steps:
    <P>
    <OL>
    <LI>Shut down iCS.
    <P>
    <LI>Rename the ics50gse.db
    file.
    <P>
    <LI>Restart the server.

    I forgot to mention that I've cleared out ~/Library/Caches/ for my test user, as well as deleted the iWeb .plist file.

  • Calendar items get deleted after computer restart

    Hi, I keep having this problem of my calendar items getting deleted/cleared after I restart my computer. Basically, I sync my handheld on two computers, one is work PC and the other my home PC. Changes are done on both PCs. I modify items on my work PC then sync with the handheld. When I get home, mostly during weekends, I also sync my handheld with my home PC. No modifications are done on the handheld. These past few days, I just noticed my calendar items in the Palm Desktop that the items I added/modified a day ago is no longer there. I have already lost a couple of appointments because of this. Please help.

    With Palm desktop 6.2 there is an issue with losing data but it is mostly seen on Vista systems. This issue has been escalated to Palm Engineering.
    When you shutdown your PC, do you close Palm desktop or leave it open? We have seen leaving Palm desktop open, when the PC is shut down, to cause data loss. Another cause of data loss can happen by having Palm desktop open when a Windows update occurs. If you are not using Palm desktop, close it.
    Here is a procedure for recovering the data.
    You can recover the data from your user folder provided you have only sync'ed once with the PC when you discovered the data missing. When you sync to the PC there are files created for each PIM category in your user folder. For Example; datebook.dat or datebook (Depending on the version of Palm Desktop) and datebook.bak. Using Palm Desktop version 6.2 the file names are .mdb and mdb.bak. For 6.2, the files are located in the username folder in PalmOSdesktop in my documents.
    The files are named .dat and .bak. When you sync, the current data is stored in .dat. The next time you sync the data in the .dat file is copied to the .bak file. You can rename the .dat to .old. then rename the .bak to .dat. If the data in the .bak file is intact, it will now be in Palm desktop when you reopen Palm desktop. I have included a link to show you how to find the userfolder on the PC.
    http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=26674
    Here is another link regarding data loss;
    http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=39503
    The best way to backup your data is to use the export feature in Palm Desktop. Make a new folder on the PC desktop named Palm Desktop Backup data. Next, select the category you want to export. You will get a window that asks where you want to save the file, save in the folder created on the desktop. There is a button that allows you to select currently selected record or all, select all. If you don't select all, then only the record highlighted is exported. You will then need to name the file for export, I suggest the name of the category, eg: datebook (With current date). Do this for all critical data in each category. With the data exported to the folder on the PC desktop, you can save this data to a flash drive, external hard drive or a CD-RW. With this method you will have your data in a seperate place than Palm desktop and the device. If you "Lose" data again, you can import the data back into palm desktop.
    Make sure that when you make changes in palm desktop or the device to export the data to the folder created for the backup.
    Here is a link for other options for backing up your data;
    http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=28751
    Here is a procedure for backing up your data for disaster recovery, like this situation.
    The best way to preserve your data is to export the data in each category in Palm Desktop to a seperate folder on your PC.
    Create a new folder on your PC somewhere that is convenient. Name it something like Palm Desktop Data. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on that page for the export procedure.
    http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=28734
    Make sure you select all for the range in the export window.
    With the data saved in the folder you created, make a copy of that folder and save to a flash drive, cd-rw or external hard drive.
    Anytime you make a change in Palm Desktop, export the data that was changed to that folder and save again to the external media.
    With this process you can always import the data back into Palm Desktop anytime you have a problem with the data in Palm Desktop or if your computer/hard drive/device crashes.

  • HT4901 My old calendar data gets deleted automatically after a few weeks. How do I stop this from happening?

    why does the calendar data get deleted after a few weeks on the iPhone and the iPad and the Mac Pro?

    On your iOS devices, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Sync (in the Calendars section) and set this to All Events.
    Not sure about your Mac.  Try going to icloud.com, opening your calendar, clicking on the gear icon on the lower left and choose preferences, then on the Advanced tab make sure you haven't checked Hide Events next to Old Events.

  • Shared calendars gone after I set up iCloud

    My wife and I have a shared calendar. I moved over to the iCloud and now the shared calendar is gone. I tired to re-share the calendar from her calendar that is still on Mobile Me and it would not go through. Is it not possible to share the old MobileMe calendar with an iCLoud calendar?

    I was having the same problem as most of you.  I was not able to share my calendars after the move to iCloud from MobileMe, but my wife was.  I am not sure what caused it, whether it was because the calendars were on share with everyone before the move or not.  I did however figure out a way to solve the issue.
    1- Open iCal on your Mac, close iCal on the internet (iCloud)
    2- On your Mac choose each calendar (right click on name) and choose stop sharing
    3- On your Mac choose each calendar ( right click on name), chose sharing settings, then click on button for "only the people you invite", enter person's apple ID/email, click update.
    4- reopen iCal calendar on web
    5- Choose calendar that wasn't working, now you should have option to add people to share with, and the person you specified in step 3 will already be there.  Hit "resend calendar invitation" (it will be in blue).  The person you sent the invite to will now be able to share your calendar.
    Hope this works for all of you the way it worked for me.

  • Issues with old calendar items after migration from SBS2008R1 to Windows 2012R2+Exchange 2013

    Hello,
    After migrating a customer from Windows Small Business Server 2008 R1 to Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (DC) and Microsoft Windows Server 2012 & Exchange 2013 there are a few issue regarding
    the GAL and old migrated calender items that we are unable to resolve:
    Old calender items which were Exported to PST when the Server 2008 R1 environment was still live were imported to the new mailbox of the user, located on the Exchange 2013 mail database. This
    seemed to be working just fine.
    The problems arise when a user tries to edit or re-send an old calender item. There actually are 2 problems:
    1. When resending an old calender item, OLD GAL entries are used (even when re-entering the contact details) and the emails are send to nobody and you get the mail back from postmaster
    2. When updating an old calender item you get an error that you do not have permissions, probably because you are NOT the 'old' Exchange user.
    Thanks in advance!

    Did you use Exmerge or similar to export?
    You may have an issue like that explained here.

  • Total iPhoto crash after deleting many photos

    After deleting many photos--I'm trying to cull the duplicates--and emptying the iPhoto trash, I quit the app and reopened.  But it wouldn't reopen except to a BLANK iPhoto page.  I could not quit or do anything with the app, so I had to force quit.  Did a computer restart, but still nothing, except a split second flash of photos and then absolutely nothing.  I paid for this update and have seen no advantages whatsoever from the recent version and now this.  Suggestions?!

    It's likely that you've damaged the database by trashing too many items at once. Experienced users never delete more than 100 images at a time.
    What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • ICal calendar sharing after iCloud transition

    iCal calendar sharing after iCloud transition does not work the same. I would like to be able to share a calendar in web view as I was able to before...
    I am still able to invite others who have iCloud to see my calendar, but not PC users or others who do not have similar software. I want a url for the calendar soe I can send it to a group to view only. This was possible before the transistion! Please help!

    In your iPhone (or iPad) go to settings/general settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars and at the top under "Accounts" you will see "Subscribed Calenars" (not in the calendar section, above that at the top of the page)... click on the calendar you want to delete and do so from there.

  • Duplicate Outlook Calendar Items after upgrade to os5

    Hi,
       I upgraded to os 5 the other day on my Iphone 4. I have an MSN email account with an MSN calendar. I have a lot of daily calendar items which are like reminders. I usually delete that days recurring reminder each day or 2 to keep a clean calendar. After I upgraded I switched to the Cloud. After that sync, I have duplicate calendar items for EVERY item on my calendar back years ago. This includes both  onetime items and recurring (daily ,weekly, yearly) items.
       I found an old post that said to turn off sync calendar and deletethe items off the phone then turn back on. Well, I went into setting>mail>cloud and turned off calendar sync and waited 10 minutes. It deleted the duplicates but kept all the rest. I then went and turned calendar syncback on and all the duplicates showed up again.
       Any ideas on how to get rid of the duplicates?

    I found the answer.
    1. plug the phone in to your computer or wall plug or this does not work!
    2. Go to settings>Icloud> and turn off calander sync. Then delete all items. Now your iphone calendar should be blank.
    3. Now got to Icloud.com and log in using apple ID.
    4. Look at your calendar. On the left edit your calendars and remove all of them. Now your cloud calendar should be blank.
    5. Now go back to your Iphone cloud setting and turn calandar sync on. After awhile your Iphone calander should match your Outlook calnder and your Icloud calander should too.

  • Calendar crashed after latest update

    My calendar crashed after latest iphone 4 update. I backed up and then restored phone to original settings as they advised but it did not fix it. Is there a way to delete it and reinstall it? I can't find another calendar app that looks very good. Everthing else has been fantastic with this phone. I'm sorry the calendar is malfunctioning as I was getting accustomed to using it!! Help.

    After much research and time with Apple I discovered that resetting my phone to factory then restoring the backup, restored the error causing the calendar to open for about a second then close. My fix was to 1: restore to factory. 2: set up as a new phone on ITunes. Calendar know works fine.

  • Entourage keeps appeariing under calendars even though deleted

    I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard. In iCal I noticed under CALENDARS in the left column a listing with a checked box for Entourage. I right clicked and deleted it but it quickly came back. After several more attempts I moved Entourage from the applications folder to the trash and restarted. Nothing changed. After deleting it keeps coming back. Under get info on the entry the description states that "This calendar is automatically created by Microsoft Entourage. Does anyone have any insight how I can permanently remove this calendar in iCal?

    Try removing the entourage preferences files, located in your /username/Library/Preferences/ folder. The files will be called this:
    com.microsoft.entourage.syncservices.plist
    com.microsoft.entourage.database_daemon.plist
    com.microsoft.entourage.office_reminders.plist
    Additionally, you might try removing the following two files from the /username/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2008/ folder:
    OfficeSync Prefs
    Microsoft Office 2008 Settings.plist

  • After Delete in Linked list...unable to display the linked list

    Hi...i know that there is an implementation of the class Linked Link but i am required to show how the linked list works in this case for my project...please help...
    Yes..I tried to delete some objects in a linked list but after that i am not able to display the objects that were already in the linked list properly and instead it throws an NullPointerException.
    Below shows the relevant coding for deleting and listing the linked list...
    public Node remove(Comparator comparer) throws Exception {
         boolean found = false;
         Node prevnode = head;          //the node before the nextnode
         Node deletedNode = null;     //node deleted...
         //get next node and apply removal criteria
         for(Node nextnode = head.getNextNode(); nextnode != null; nextnode = nextnode.getNextNode()) {
              if(comparer.equals(nextnode)) {
                   found = true;
                   //remove the next node from the list and return it
                   prevnode.setNextNode(nextnode.getNextNode());
                   nextnode.setNextNode(null);
                   deletedNode = nextnode;
                   count = count - 1;
                   break;
         if (found) return deletedNode;
         else throw new Exception ("Not found !!!");
    public Object[] list() {
         //code to gather information into object array
         Node node;
         Object[] nodes = new Object[count];
         node = head.getNextNode();
         for (int i=0; i<count; i++) {
              nodes[i] = node.getInformation();  // this is the line that cause runtime error after deleting...but before deleting, it works without problem.
              node = node.getNextNode();
         return nodes;
    }Please help me in figuring out what went wrong with that line...so far i really can't see any problem with it but it still throws a NullPointerException
    Thanks

    OK -- I've had a cup and my systems are coming back on line...
    The problem looks to be the way that you are handling the pointer to the previous node in your deletion code. Essentially, that is not getting incremented along with the nextNode -- it is always pointing to head. So when you find the node to delete then the line
       prevnode.setNextNode(nextnode.getNextNode());will set the nextNode for head to be null in certain situations (like if you are removing the tail, for instance).
    Then when you try to print out the list, the first call you make is
    node = head.getNextNode();Which has been set to null, so you get an NPE when you try to access the information.
    Nothing like my favorite alkaloid to help things along on a Monday morning...
