Resolution of a picture

I am working with Flash, Windows vista.
When I finished designing my banner I saved and exported
image. After I opened front page and inserted this picture as
background of my page. The resolution is not the same. When I open
the picture in Flash it looks more beautiful then when I open in
front page. Is there something I could do?
thanks

Probably the dimensions of the embedded object are different,
export the swf. directly from flash and open the html in frontpage
for further editing..
on a sidenote ( I didn't knew that Frontpage is still
available), ever thought changing to another package?

  • Is there a way to adjust the pixel size/resolution of a picture in iPhoto?

    Hi there!
Long story long, I have downloaded a photo from a friend's not-so-great camera in order to make it into a blanket that is 50x60 in size.  When I try to upload the picture, the website that I'mbuying it through says that in order for it to look good it should be 9300x7800 pixels.
I think one is 2265x2168 if I'm looking at the right place in iPhoto, on the photo information.  Is it possible and if so, how can I beter the resolution in order to create this gift for someone?
Thanks for any and all help...hope I supplied enough information to even warrant an answer.  I'm new the Mac computers & still learning what I can/can't do!

Answer is simple - that is not possible
You can use programs like PhotoShop Elements to makeup new pixels and put them between the existing pixels- but the quality of the resulting image will be lower than the original even though it has more pixels
And you might ask the print firm for suggestions since no comsumer camera has images that come close to 9300 x 7800 - You would be hard pressed to get an image that size without a $25,000 or more pro camera - for example a $15,000 Canon EOS 1Dc is only 4096x2160 pixels - http://snapsort.com/learn/sensor/pixel-size

  • Resolution/Size of Pictures in Mail

Hi! I am a new Mac user, so if this question has been answered before or appears "dumb" please excuse the learning curve from a former PC owner.
I was wondering if anyone knew what resolution/picture size mail uses when you attach a picture to an outgoing email. When I use mail and change the picture size in the lower right hand corner, what size does mail change the picture to? For example, is medium 640 x 480?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi.
    The Sizes are:
    Large 1290x960
    Medium 640x480
    Small 320x240
If the size of the picture you attach is in between of any of those sizes, the larger one (or ones) will be dimmed.
Also, if you email a picture from iPhoto, you have one more option: full size (the size your camera suports).
    Good Luck.

  • How can I increase the resolution of a picture used in the burned DVD?

My version is Elements 10 and I have always had a problem when making the main menu that included a picture.  Even if the picture is 12 MPixels it appears as if is less then 1 MPixels.

    VideoEditor
From what you wrote, you are not targeting the resolution of the DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc that you are producing in Premiere Elements. Rather you are targeting the disc menus that are applied to a given project destined for DVD-VIDEO on DVD . Difference.
What you get in the disc menus (main and scene) traces back to the creation of .psd files in Premiere Elements folders on the computer hard drive hard drive. There 3 different .psd sets for each theme. One "s" for standard, "w" for widescreen, and "hd" for high definition. Whether you are in NTSC or PAL, "s" and "w" have a frame size of 720 x 576, and "hd" 1440 x 1080.
The choices (what you see) for "hd" and non "hd" menus in the disc menus section of the program is determined by the project preset. If you have a "hd" project, you will get some "hd" choices mixed with non hd choices. When you pick one of the non hd choices, believe it or not, the program may give you the "s" 4:3 version of the .psd and not the "w" version. The details can be overwhelming.
    Bottom line:
You can set the resolution of your main menu inserts as high as you want, however you may crash the feature and or program and still not achieve better clarify/sharpness for the image in Disc Menu Preview or in playback of the final product. For the inserts, you can scale them to fit the insert space if black borders. Some buttons can be scaled to a larger size, of course within the limits of the total space provided and only if you do not create overlapping of the buttons.
Please review and if you need clarification on anything written, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thanks.

  • Quality / Resolution change of pictures and videos...

    Hello,
why does Windows Phone change the resolution and quality of my pictures and videos if I send them to someone by Email or to Skydrive? Normally it would be great to be asked whether I want to change the resolution and quality or not. Windows on desktop does this. It's awful, that I have to synchronize with Zune and after that send the files with my normal Email programm. Is there a configuration in the settings to get asked or to send everytime in full quality?
    Greetings

I am having the same problem.

  • Too low resolution on a picture

I am trying to create a holiday card on a website and am told the photo has too low resolution. They said I can change this on my computer. Can I?????

No - you can reduce resolution but can not increase it - how are you accessing your photo? What resolution is the original? Try selecting the photo and exporting it and uploading the exported photo

  • Resolution of Superimposed Pictures

I don't know why or how it happened, but I decided to try something on my own.
Because I knew that the original picture was there, I "duplicated" it. Once I duplicated the original, I was able to "trash" the picture and the one superimposed.
If anyone knows why the power failure caused the pictures to "shift", I would like to know. Since you can't predict when a random failure will occur, I feel better knowing that I can, at least, resolve this problem.

The power loss jolt may have corrupted the database - the iPhoto Library Folder.
Standard procedure is to rebuild the library.
Quit iPhoto. Relaunch it holding down the key combo below for your version of iPhoto.
    Rebuild Library
    Option+Shift IPHOTO 2
    CommandOptionShift IPHOTO 4
    Command+Option IPHOTO 5
iPhoto will correct what problems it can with your original library by creating a new fixed copy of the library folder.
Rebuilding will fix problems that you may not be aware of. Your duplication/delete process won't do that and this will save you hours of work.
Also, in case you didn't know, you should never change anything through the finder in that library folder. Do everything in iPhoto:
    Don't tamper
iMac 700 Mac OS X (10.2.x) work with latest OS and Macs

  • Pictures resolution and ken burns

I'm very unhappy of how the pictures look when I make a DVD. When I do some slideshow either with i photo or i movie or final cut the resolution is good on the Mac, but when I do a DVD (either with idvd or dvd pro) the resolution on TV is very bad. When I use a ken burns effect the resolution is much worse because a lot of "striping waves" appear on TV reproduction.
Have I to change the resolution of the pictures or I have to change some preference in idvd ?

Try this: Go into "Preferences" in iDVD, under the "Projects" tab, chose encoding "Professional Quality". You will have to restart the program to make it work.

  • I Want to Increase Resolution to Make a Picture Perfect

    Hello, and thank you.
I am trying to increase the resolution of a picture I found on the internet.  I want to know how to increase the resolution so that the Photoshopped version looks like gold compared to the original.  Can you help me get a high resolution of a picture?  Thank you.
So far I've tried "Image," then "Resize," then "Image Size," and changed the Resolution to 300, but nothing in the picture changed.  Of "Scale Styles," "Constrain Proportions," and "Resample Image," the only one I have checked is "Constrain Proportions."  So I don't know what I am missing or overlooking or doing wrong.  But my changes have not produced any changes to the image.  Your help is appreciated.  Thank you.
    Mike

You wrote: So far I've tried "Image," then "Resize," then "Image Size.
It sounds like you are using Photoshop ELEMENTS not the full version of Photoshop.
The Photoshop Elements forum is at: Photoshop Elements
But the answer will be the same. Photos from the internet simply don't have enough pixel detail.
Photoshop (any version) can't create more detail out of thin air. It can resample and create more pixels exactly like the original pixels, but it can't magically create new unique pixels that will provide additional detail.
There is an expression:  GIGO - Garbage In, Garbage Out
You will never get something that "looks like gold compared to the original".
You're looking for something that never existed. Photoshop CSI edition/

  • Iphoto book picture resolution

I am making an Iphoto book and am importing pictures from old libraries. The resolution on the pictures go as low as 500 kb. I am putting 4 pictures to a page, so the pictures are not large. Will that resolution be okay? The pictures appear to be fine and there is no indication that they will show as being of poor quality. I was wondering how low you can go with the resolution. Thank you.

your will see a yellow triangle with an ! in it if the resolutions is too low for the size you have chosen to use.

  • Picture resolution question

I am trying to increase the resolution of my pictures to fit a canvas print 100 x 75 cm. Is it possible to do this in Photoshop 10 Elements?

You can also increase the resolution of the image using "Image Menu>Resize>Image Size" dialog box. For more help refer here  http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/using/resizing.html#main-pars_heading_0
