Resource Conflict – Serial Bus Controller & PCI Bus Issues - Cannot Load Windows 7 - PLEASE HELP!

HP Pavilion Notebook, dv9827clAMD Turion 64 x 2, Bios F.34Windows 7, SP 1 (Upgraded from OEM Vista SP2) PROBLEM: This morning my system has a blank illuminated screen. Upon power-on, the system eventually goes to the blank screen. Can get to BIOS functions, but beyond that it will not load Windows 7. System was working with Windows 7 prior to this issue. No recent changes or updates made to this system. Stationary - No physical abuse. Five (5) years old. Upon power-on, the screen gives PF keys, which enable me to enter the BIOS: F1 – System Information > Clock still has correct date and time. F2 – Startup Check -> Both HD and RAM OK F9 – Change Boot Device Order -> Can change device order, but it still won’t boot or respond to a System Recovery DVD in a USB DVD. ( Notebook DVD stopped working before this problem happened.) F10 - Enter Setup F11 – System Recovery – Two choices, but <enter> and arrow keys do not work. (They DO work with other F-selections, but not with F-11 menu) (1) Continue with System Resume (2) Delete Restoration Data and Proceed to System Boot OTHER OBSERVATION: When access PF1, I get the BIOS. If I exit and save with PF10, I get a brief flash of error messages, then it goes back to the PF-selections and eventually to the blank screen. A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

i know extremely frustrating that there is no one to contact!
i got my friend to help not sure if your having the same problem but i had to download stuffit expander from the app store to expand the zip files that you initially download you should be able to open them and enter serial number from there
don't know if that helps theres no where that tells you how to do that so its extremely frustrating..

Unfortunately, Adobe has quit support of earlier version. They have a version of AA9 Pro for Windows posted, but not for the MAC as I understand it. You can try Adobe Acrobat X (10) Pro, Reader, and Suite Direct Download Links | ProDesignTools, but again I can only find PC versions. Someone may drop by with a link or you might see if anyone locally has the CD (that you could get the install file from). You will still need to use your original S/N.

IF you turned on the find my iPhone feature on the iPhone itself, then go to iCloud.com
If you did not, then you cannot locate it.

Issue With Adding Layers - Please Help!

I am having an issue where Photoshop is not allowing me to add any kind of new layer to images that I'm editing. It won't allow it while it's a .NEF or after it's become a .PSD. If I open an image that already contains layers and is saved as a .PSD, then it allows me to add layers no problem. If I start a new blank document it will allow me to add layers. It's just not allowing me to do it with files that have been imported within the last week. It doesn't seem like a system resource issue since it allows me to add layers to older files. If you have any thoughts on this please help!

Well... sort of fixed it. Apparently my system doesn't like editing images with a color depth of 16bit. If I convert it down to 8 when I'm converting it from RAW, then it allows me to add layers... Is this normal?

Major External Hard Drive Issues... Please Help!

I own an Iomega Silver High Speed USB 2.0 Hard Drive 250 GB... I used to use it to store files for my old XP machine... and would now like to use it for my Macbook running 10.5.2 since my PC died.
The problem I have:
The drive does not mount on the desktop and when I go into Disk Utilities, it shows the drive as having 744.9 GB of space rather than 232.9 GB as it actually has.
Furthermore, I cannot "Erase" or "Partition" the drive because I get the error "Resource Busy". However, when I plug the drive into a Macbook running Tiger and try to partition the drive, the blue progress bar at the bottom jumps to 1/4 done and then does not move at all.
I have plugged the drive into a Windows XP machine and it cannot partition the drive properly either..
Please help! You guys are my last hope since I called Iomega... who say it is clearly NOT a hardware issue and referred e to Apple Tech support who did not resolve the issue and had me on hold for 40 minutes...
I beseech you, please help fix my hard drive... I don't need the data on it, I just need a hard drive that works as soon as possible...

If the disk is damaged (which is is) then the format would likely take 12-24 hours to complete so if you interrupted it it could have damaged the disk. I have a new disk that I never could get partitioned and is damaged beyond repair. Ok try this restart the computer with the disk off. Then turn the disk on and see if it brings up the message that the disk is unreadable and takes you to the disk utility. Also sometimes changing usb ports or trying to format it on another computer works. Tom

Issues downloading Acrobat Trial- please help!

I've spent a couple of hours trying to do various things to download the Acrobat free trial, I'm going mad!
I have a Creative Cloud login and I have a monthly subscription for Photoshop.
When I try to download the trial through Creative Cloud it just automatically launches my Adobe App Manager but nothing happens- Acrobat is not there and it's not trying to download it.
I've also tried downloading the trial separately on Adobe.com- the ADA won't open- it's downloads as a grey box- like there's nothing there?
I've tried turning firewalls on and off.
Please help, I really need Acrobat to do my work today .

I am having the same issue on trying to install the assistant manager its grey/blank and nothing happens when I try to run the file, I also need acrobat for work, I went out and bought a hardcopy of the software ran me $478.00 dollars, Inside it is a redeemable code you need to type on adobe.com/go/getserial which then they will provide a serial number to install the disc, but when I do that I get a "You're all set"" you can download the program or redeem another code.....but theres no link to download nor is there a serial mumber!!!!!

Firefox constantly freezing due to issues with Flash. Please help.

I was running the firefox 20 beta (and have been for a while) when in the last few days, suddenly any time I tried to open any site that used even the slightest amount of flash, the browser would freeze for minutes on end before finally releasing a "plugin error" type message about Shockwave Flash. If i clicked 'continue' it would stay frozen. If i clicked 'stop script' then sometimes it would fix it, but most of the time it would keep freezing and showing that same message over and over until I stopped the process in task manager.
First I tried to update flash and shockwave- both are up to date. So i decided to delete the files themselves and the programs via add/remove and reinstalled them. Still did not fix the problem.
Next I tried to do a reset firefox to default state. This didn't work. I tried doing it again with the flash files deleted/uninstalled AND I rebooted the computer and the problem still persisted.
Finally, I tried to downgrade to a more stable version of firefox, so I downloaded 19 and it still didnt work. Tried the uninstall/re install for flash one more time and nothing.
At this point, I cannot access about half of the pages I usually go to on the web and I need help here, please anything will do.
One thing that I noticed that might be helpful is that no matter how many times i uninstalled or reinstalled flash, every time it would try to run, task manager would show two instances of it, each using different amount of memory.
again, please please help. If there is any solution short of a total wipe it would be greatly appreciated

hello, maybe it's an issue with the protected mode in the flash plugin - you could try if [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/flash-113-crashes#w_solution-2-downgrade-to-flash-10-3 downgrading to flash 10.3] (which is still supported) or [http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071#TemporaryWorkaround disabling protected mode] makes a difference.

I can resolve the issue by writing java code in the jsp(like ...java code...<c:param name="xxxAction" value="%=...%"/> ),much java code occur in the jsp,I do not like this solution.

Ram is correct. You can't nest custom tags as attributes to other custom tags.
In this case the <c:param> tag offers the option of specifying the value as the body of the tag though, so the following should work:

<c:param name="xxxAction"><portlet:renderURL/></c:param>

Major Issues with iPod Touch - Please help!

Hi, I am having major issues with my iPod, and nothing seems to be going right. It all started a few days after I got it for Christmas. I would wake up, and my iPod would be completely discharged even though it had a full battery and was turned off. I woke up one night and found that it came on all by myself. I sent it into iPod, and they sent it back saying nothing was wrong. Since I got it back today and within six hours, I have had four software crashes to the point where I have had to uninstall iTunes and restore factory settings four times. I am now on my fifth crash, but this time, the screen won't even come on. It keeps saying that it is in recovery mode. I simply went to turn it on! Does anyone have any suggestions? Personally, I think there is a short, and that I need a new a replacement. However, it doesn't seem like Apple is very supportive of the idea. I go through all of their steps over and over and over, and the same thing happens! What is going on? Please help.

sounds like, for the charging problem anyways, that you are just putting ipod into "Stand by" mode... press and hold the power key for about 10 seconds and an option to power off will actually come on.. if u just press it and let go, it just goes to stand by.. i have noticed stand by drains my battery
also, it doesn't sound like a short to me... the charging i am pretty sure is bc you are only putting it into standby however, the rest sounds like software.. did u try and restore using itunes or did you just reset the factory defaults?? Plug it into itunes and click restore under the ipod menu...
