RESTART COMPUTER POP-UP WINDOW ISSUE

Please help me help me why I keep getting the same restart computer pop-up window lately with no error message at all even though the software update is completely up-to-date.

Can you describe this "pop-up window" in more detail? Is it the +kernel panic+ message that takes over the screen, has multiple languages, and does not let you do anything else? Or is a a regular dialog widow that you can move around, with normal buttons, that still allows control of the Mac? If the latter, what does the window say, exactly?

    Please Help!!! Ive had to uninstall & install this program several times due to an annoying pop up window from Internet Exployer Security saying "A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer." Each time I click on allow it continues to pop up several more times then goes away, but then continues to appear again, and again. Please help me to resolve this issue. Thank you.

    Thanks Mike M....again. I will try anything at this point. These constant pop-ups are frustrating. I may have to breakdown & have my laptop looked at by a professional to see if they can recommend other options & possibly upgrading.

  • Pop up window - Issue warning on possible duplicate

    Hi,
    Could somebody please help me with the following? I do not have any experience with Javascript, but think this is a fairly easy issue.
    We have an HR database, and I would like a user to get a pop-up window if there is already an employee in the system with the same last_name and first_name as the one they are trying to create. I would like the user to still have the possibility of creating this new employee (it is possible for 2 employees to have the same name), but be issued a warning in case he/she is creating a duplicate entry.
    I don't think I can do this with item or page level validations, either, since I simply want a 'warning'?
    Many thanks in advance for your help.

    However, you could do this with AJAX. Basically, have some event (leaving a field maybe) trigger a javascript the calls a process that goes back to the server to see if the names are duplicated and if they are just do a small HTML update to the page with the warning.

  • Pop up window issue

    Hi All,
    My requirement is on a view I have a submit button on clicking of which I require a pop up window to open which I need to input certain details.  In the pop up I have 2 buttons ie cancel and done.  On clickng cancel I require to come back to the view I was prior to the pop up but on clicking done I need to move to a new view.  Now my problem is that when i click done it goes to new view but the view comes in same place as pop up ie the old view is displayed in the back and new view is comming in the same place as pop up and same size whereas I need it to be only showing full 100% on screen.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Preet

    Hi
    Popup must have one parent view which initiate it , since you are initiating it from popup itself so it become the hierarchy of parents and and its popup.
    Better to proceed in this way : open a pop up -- perform your task -- once you done with your job and click DONE, close the pop up and at that action where you write logic for closing it fire a plug which lead to new view.

  • Pop Up Window Issues

    First let me begin by thanking you for reading this. Any help
    would be appreciated.
    I am linking a Dreamweaver asp file to a button in a Flash 8.
    I have used the following actionscript to open the asp file in a
    new window:
    on (release) {
    getURL("
    http://hoobiedoo.com/DirectorySearch/directory.asp",
    _blank);
    When the button is clicked it is giving me the html of the
    asp file and not the design of the file. I know I am missing
    something, can someone please help me fix this? Thanks for your

  • (Legitimate) Pop up Windows every time Firefox starts

    So, lately each time I fire up Firefox, the new browsing session recovers pop up windows from previous sessions (from the last time or even some from like, three days ago) I have long closed down. My start up option has always been "Show my windows and tabs from last time" which used to do exactly that: recover tabs I had opened or start with a new blank tab in case I had none opened. Now though, each time I open FIrefox I am getting various windows from previous session(s).
    The catch here is that this doesn't APPEAR to be a malware issue since I am not getting weird ad/dodgy windows but "legitimate" pop ups I remember I have personally triggered i.e a picture or frame from a trusted site which opened into a new window or a help section from amazon.com etc.
    This is a first and as you can imagine it has become really annoying. I am using Firefox 25.0.1.
    Any ideas? Thanks!

    Thanks for your replies philipp and james
    Yeah, it seems it's a case of firefox not shutting down properly since the problem appeared ever since I've begun closing down firefox by ending the process (mind you, with a cmd shortcut icon even) in an attempt to efficiently escape from the never-ending flash player script hangs/crashes (disabling hardware acceleration or reinstalling flash player doesn't help).
    Deleting all the sessionstore ... files solved the pop up windows issue.

  • I cant install an update to Firefox and cant remove the old version because a "Setup" pop up window "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox. Do you want to reboot now?" appears, reboots change nothing. What should I do?

    A friend said she downloaded an update to Firefox (a version of 6, I believe) but didn't install the update, but the desktop icon was gone. The only way to launch Firefox was from the Programs folder. When clicking on the Firefox file, a "Setup" pop up window appeared stating "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox. Do you want to reboot now?" Clicking "No" does not launch Firefox and clicking "Yes" reboots the computer, but nothing changes after restart and the same series of events keeps re-occurring. When clicking on the safe mode file, Firefox was launched. I went to "Add/Remove Programs" and found Mozilla Firefox 3.6.3. When attempting to remove the program, the same reboot "Setup" pop up appears, and the same non-results as previously described, persisted. I deleted all Firefox files and deleted the update set up .exe files. I again tried to remove the Firefox 3.6.3 program, with the same outcome as the previous attempt(s). I went to the Firefox website and downloaded the updated Firefox 7.0.1 set up .exe file, saved and ran it. When I reached the Setup Wizard page that prompts a "Standard" or "Custom" installation, I clicked on Standard and the same reboot pop up window appeared, again with no change after the reboot. So I have a Program installed (Firefox 3.6.3) with no files, and which can not be removed, an executed update/download .exe for Firefox 7.0.1 that can not be completely installed due to the failure to update by reboot problem. I'm out of ideas on how to try to resolve these problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

    Try a clean reinstall.
    * Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 7.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version.
    * Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.
    * Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • Today I tried to shutdown my computer and a window popped up saying that my computer could not shut down because the mail application was open, it wouldn't close, so I used a key combination to force mail to quit and now I can't log in. Help?

    Okay, so I have been having trouble with my mail application all week. The window refused to open and would not quit. Today, I tried to shut down my mac and a pop up window told me that I was unable to shutdown because mail was open. After using a key combination, I successfully was able to quit mail with force quit. Then I was able to shut down with out a problem. However, upon rebooting, my computer refused to let me loggin. I put in my password correctly but then the rainbow pinwheel showed up and stalled for a minute and then my screen flashed and the gray screen reappeared, expecting a password. I tried turning it off and back on again with no luck. I also reset my password after reading a similar discussion, but I still can't log in. How can I fix this?

  • 10.5.2 update "restart computer" issues

    Yesterday I installed the Apple 10.5.2 update. Once my computer rebooted, I forgot to hold down the option key to select my apple hard drive, instead my computer booted to windows because I have bootcamp, and it automatically boots to windows unless I hold the option key.
    I spent the night using Windows on my computer, then I shut the computer down.
    This morning I opened my computer to Leopard, and after the start up screen (grey screen with apple logo) a warning popped up telling me to restart my computer. I restarted, and this same warning keeps appearing. I can not get past it to open leopard. I fear my computer may have crashed during the 10.5.2 update. Windows runs fine right now on my computer, but I would really like to open Leopard. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Or know how to get past it.

    "and it automatically boots to windows unless I hold the option key."
    The proper way that's documented is to use Windows side start up pane to boot back to Leopard. Use Leopard's start up pane to boot back to Windows. So you do an 10.5.2 update which will want to re-start to Leopard but Leopard is not blessed previously in the start up pane.
    User induced error. Did the Leopard 10.5.2 installer know that user has to hold option key to boot into Leopard. I don't think that was ever programmed into the installer.

  • Issue error message in a pop-up window

    Hii experts,
    How do I issue a message in a pop-up window in a normal report programming? For eg if i click on particular box in SAP graphic, a message window should come up with some information about that box.
    Thanx in advance

    Hi ,
    First track the event let say at line selection(in case of reports)
      then use
    CALL FUNCTION 'POPUP_WITH_TABLE_DISPLAY'
          EXPORTING
            endpos_col         = 80
            endpos_row         = 25
            startpos_col       = 1
            startpos_row       = 1
            titletext          = text-300
      IMPORTING
        CHOISE             =
          TABLES
            valuetab           = l_return
         EXCEPTIONS
           break_off          = 1
           OTHERS             = 2
    Append the errors in l_return.
    l_return is of type below:
    DATA: l_return LIKE bapireturn OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.

    Just recently I am getting the following error message when trying to access web sites. I am using Firefox browser version 10.0.2. • Trying to install CS 5.5 on a newer computer (Windows 7) and I am told to "please restart computer." Restarting doesn't resolve anything

    I am trying to install CS 5.5 on a newer computer and every time I go through setup the serial number comes back good (green check mark, etc.) but then when I proceed with install, I am told to "please restart computer." No error number just "please restart." After restarting 5 or 6 times I realized there must be a deeper issue. I first made a basic mistake (forgot to deactivate the serial#) so I went back on to the original device and, interestingly, when I re-installed InD CS5.5 on the old computer, there was no incident. It then proceeded to function normally and opened just fine, I deactivated the serial#, and went back to the new computer. After installing and trying again, I got the same message "please restart computer."
    This was a license that allowed for multiple installs and I have put this program on a Win7 (pro) laptop before using the same serial number and had no issue. Now I am on an Asus Desktop running Win7 (home) and and am having this please restart problem. Could it be an OS issue? Any ideas of what to try?
    Thank you all, I hope someone can help.
    Tommy

    I think you need to clean this machine before trying again, so run the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3), then run MSconfig and turn off all non-essential startup programs before you try to install again.
    Also, be sure javascript is enabled. From the Start menu choose Run, then in the command field type regsvr32 jscript.dll and press Enter. You should get a confirmation.

  • How do I get my computer to start opening up files instead of opening a pop up window rather than the file?

    My computer has started opening up pop up windows that say, "Step 1: Select File, Information Gathered Successfully, Step 2: Click Show Information Button", instead of opening the file I click on. This informaion windown has generated another pop up window that suggests I visit the iTunes store for an app that will open the file. Twice I have purchased apps that the iTunes store said would open the file. Twice the apps have made no difference at all. The apps did not open the file. Even more frustrating than being sold apps that don't work is that the files I'm trying to open are textedit files created with the software on the very computer that is now refusing to open them.
    How do I get beyond the pop-ups and open the files I created?
    Is it possible to return the apps that iTunes said would work, but did not?
