Restore photostream pictures from AppleTV to MacBookPro?

I had to rebuild my macbook pro this weekend.  There are pictures that i have uploaded to a PhotoStream that I can see on my AppleTV.  However, they are older than 30 days.  So when i started up iPhoto on the mac, those pictures are not showing up in the PhotoStream---but i would like to have copies of them back!  Is it possible to restore those photostream pictures from my AppleTV onto my Mac?

You cannot selectively restore some of the iCloud content and not other content. When you restore it is all or nothing and when you do restore any data you created since the backup was made will be lost.  The iCloud backup contains camera roll photos. How can I restore deleted pictures from an iPhone 5  without back up?

If you've previously synced the pictures to a computer (as is generally advised to archive them), then they are gone, unless you have backed up the device to itunes or icloud.  If so, you need to perform a restore:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  This will erase your phone.  Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your phone is new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.
Note that you cannot restore just one file, it's all or nothing.

  • Is there a way to photostream pictures from two separate iCloud accounts to the same mac, for display in iPhoto?

Is there a way to photostream pictures from two separate iCloud accounts (two iphones that I own) to the same mac, for simultaneous display in iPhoto?

On a Mac, PhoneView is one option (I've been happily using for a year or two). TouchCopy is another (have not heard anything negative about it).
You'll only get back the low-res versions that were downsized when synced to the phone, but better than nothing.

  • Restoring a picture from wallpaper

I took a picture from my 6680 phone and saved it as wallpaper. I accidently deleted the image from memory card but it still shows as the wallpaper image. How would I restore this image in my memory card?

I did the inspector program. It works great but only finds photos that have been erased from memory card. Does anybody know of a program that can restore thumbnails from the phone?

  • How can I restore 1 picture from time capsule

I am trying to import 1 picture from my time capsule backup. It only allows me to do 1.

The process is a bit different if you are rerring to an image in iPhoto.
If that is is the case, make sure Time Machine is closed.
From the dock, open iPhoto as you normally would
From the iPhoto File menu at the upper left hand corner of the screen. select Browse Backups
Using the scale at the right of the Time Machine window, go back to a date when you know that you had the impage on your computer
Navigate using Events or Photos to locate your image
Click Restore at the bottom of the Time Machine window to restore your image
    Close Time Machine

  • How do I restore selected  pictures from Time Machine?

If I want to restore selected documents or music albums/tracks I open Time Machine look at the specific date and select the item and click on restore. But how do I do this with pictures? If I open Time Machine my pictures are nowhere to be found. At least I cannot locate them. If I right-click on IPhoto Library in the Finder in Time Machine nothing happens. At least not Originals as in the regular Finder (this is where pictures are stored in the regular Finder.

Hi Terence, I have the following problem:
-I have many digitalised old pictures that were given the date when they were actually scanned and given a name by the dude who did it
    - so for instance my 1982 picture from Paris is titled 'album 4-picture 2000' and has the date July 2 2009, which does not make a lot of sense in a library
    - so I batch changed all the digitalised pictures for date and title so now my picture has the correct title 'paris' and the correct date July 4 1982
    - now, when I want to restore this particular picture from TM, as you explained me yesterday, I do get the picture but not the new title and date. It will now say again 'album 4-picture 2000' and will have the date July 2 2009
So I only have a problem with date and titles that I changed. TM restores it with the original date and title. And that does not make sense after you have put so much time in changing/correcting all these data. Thanks Adrian

  • How restore my pictures from icloud?

Hello All, My problem is How to restore my pictures stored in icloud? I am lost right now...

Photo stream photos from the last 30 days would be restored by signing into your iCloud account in Settings>iCloud, tapping Photos and turning My Photo Stream on.  Camera roll photos are included in your backup and can be recovered by restoring the backup to your iPad.

  • Old computer died, I am trying to restore my pictures from a Windows Backup

My old computer overheated to the point that the D: drive, where I kept my data, virtually melted.  Fortunately, I am religious about backups, so I had a local computer shop install a new D: drive and restored most of my data from a backup on an external hard drive.  Unfortunately, that drive also failed - the local computer shop was able to get some data off of it, but none of my pictures.  I had a fairly recent backup that did include all my picture files (created with Windows Backup and Restore).
I was able to find the Catalog folder and restored it to the default location (C:/Program Data/Adobe/Elements Organizer/Catalogs).  The Organizer does find that catalog.  It contains 2 folders (BreezeData, which contains 422 files in the format breeze-1.xml and a file named BreezeSession.dat) and (syncdb, which contains only a file named .pref).  It also contains the following files:  backupCt.dat, catalog.pse9db, collstatus.dat, face.thumb.9.cache, itemData.mk4, tagstatus.dat, and thumb.5.cache.  However, none of my tags appear in the Organizer.  I have tried repairing the catalog, got the message that there was nothing to repair, and clicked on "repair it anyway", which didn't improve the situation.
Is there another file I need to find and restore to make this work properly?
I have restored some of my actual picture files to the same location and file structure they were in on the old computer.  However, PSE 9 can't find them.  I have tried "reconnecting" files, and get the message that there are no files to reconnect.  If I "import" the files to the Organizer, I lose all of my version sets (and I have a lot of them).  I realize I can stack the original and edited versions of the same picture, but the Editor does not recognize them as versions.  In addition, I lose all my tags.
Is there any way to get the pictures back into the Organizer without losing the version sets and tags?  The Organizer does find the captions i have assigned.
I have already purchased PSE 12, but I thought I would have greater success if I got PSE 9 properly restored, then did the upgrade.
    Any help would be appreciated.

This isn't really a reply, just an update.
I was finally able to fix the problem!  I uninstalled PSE 9 (I should have used Revo Uninstaller, but I forgot to do that, I just used the Control Panel, Programs & Features, Uninstall a Program.)  I then went into the ProgramData directory and removed everything that appeared to relate to Adobe PSE, including the Catalog folder (there was a lot of it).  I restarted the computer and re-installed PSE 9 (I had already recovered all the picture files using Backup and Restore).  This time, when I did Reconnect, All Missing Files, the program itself found almost everything!  I still had a little bit of cleanup to do (mostly duplicates), and I have to re-transfer all of the pictures I have taken with both of my cameras since the backup just before this disaster occurred, but at least I have (I think) recovered the majority of 7 years of photographs.  I noticed while I was doing the cleanup that not every filename (I just leave the IMG_#### assigned by the camera) was there, but I am assuming the missing filename numbers are photos that I either deleted or moved to a folder I call "Trash" for photos that are going to take a lot more time to fix than I have immediately - if they can be fixed at all.
The recovered photos retain the version sets and tags that were originally assigned!
Having been through this, I would encourage everyone to backup their files regularly, and don't forget the directory where the catalog file is stored!  If the catalog file is lost, you are toast!
If anyone has a similar problem, feel free to let me know and I will try to help with a more detailed explanation.
For what it's worth, Adobe was of no help (fortunately we got disconnected before I gave them my credit card number for the $39.99 they wanted to even talk to me about the problem).  Similarly, I have successfully used JustAnswer.com for other complicated problems where HP (the destroyed computer) or Dell (my new computer) couldn't help, but they were unable to help with this problem.
I think I have a little more work to do, including loading my recent pictures, but I plan to start on converting the recovered files to PSE 12 soon.

  • How to restore iPhoto pictures from time machine

Knowing this:  " When using iPhoto ’11 (version 9.2 or later) and Time Machine with OS X Lion 10.7.2 (or later), iPhoto no longer has the Browse Backups option. This means that instead of restoring specific photos within your iPhoto Library, you must restore your entire iPhoto Library."
I need to restore from the July 2012 backup iPhoto library a few photos, no more than 50, I guess I need some guidance on how to prevent my current iPhoto library to be overwritten with the contents of an old library, thus erasing all of the pictures I have taken since, that's 2 years ago.
Should I create a *new* iPhoto library, and restore it with the contents from the time machine? I suppose that once the *new*  has been restored then I can pick up the pictures and export these to my current library.
I need to be cautious as to how I can do this, I do not want to loose the thousands of pictures I have in my current library and would appreciate if what I intend to do will bring the results I want to have.
    Thanks

When you restore the library, use the "Restore to" function and not the "Restore". This will let you select a different folder, or if you do not have enough disk space, restore to a different disk. Then open the restored library by double clicking it and export the photos you need to restore.
Double click your current library to switch back to your current library and import the restored photos.

  • My iphone 4 wont restore my pictures from my backup.  I never uploaded them to the computer so this is a big deal.

I have tried to restore from my Iphone 4 from my last back up and other back ups to see if it would help.  Nothing seemed to work to get my media back.  I really need my pictures because i have not backed them up on my computer

The backup only saves the iPads own camera roll.  You should have backed up your other photo's into whatever application you use for photo's on your computer.  If you did not back them up somewhere, they are gone.
This articel will tell you exactly what is backed up: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946

  • How do i restore my pictures from backup

So my old phone is dead and my pictures are on my backup with Verizon Wirelesss.  how do i save them to my computer?

You can try a restore, but read the added comments below.  To restore, Settings>General, scroll to bottom and tap Reset (delete all files on device).  Then attach to iTunes and following instructions to setup.  Along the way you should have the option of restore.  Choose which backup to use.
    Warning...
Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS.  There are no solutions to this in most cases.
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream.  If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered.  I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure".

I have a first generation appleTV and my computer crashed pretty hard. I lost all my pictures...however there is a copy of everything on my appleTV. How do I get the pics off the appleTV and onto my computer? Thanks.
noticed a few errors that would confuse readers. sorry.

It's not possible using the built-in software functions, and discussing hacking methods are forbidden on these forums (hint.. google. Until you've done that, be very careful not to sync with a computer or you will lose everything on the Apple TV)
The Apple TV simply wasn't designed as a backup device for your content.

  • (When) Will Apple release a newer OS version for free than 7.5.3?

Being a fan of Apple's machines and not only the new ones, it is kind of hard to get an OS for these oldtimers. Apple would not lose a cent, if they released, let's say 8.6, because they stopped selling it many years ago. So why not putting it on the
