Restoring iPhone backup from previous phone to new one

Hi All,
I have just created a new iPHone in my iTunes it actually the same (1st generation iPHone) but I have updated to 2.0 and in the iTunes instead of restoring to original backup that I did before upgrading. I have selected to create a new Iphone. Now I have new iPHone shows up in iTunes but it's missing all of my camera photos and SMS, call history and favorites, and I'm sure I will find more things that are not on this new iPhone.
The question is:
How do I go back and upload the backup from the old 1.1.4 Iphone into this new one that I have created in iTunes

I was wondering how it is possible to restore that backup from any other Mac computers, like my iMac at home?

How to restore iPhone backup from a new Windows laptop?

I am using iPhone 4S and my phone went to recovery mode while updating iOS 8.1
Phone got started after a while and I am having backup of the phone in iTunes as well but unfortunately, I am not able to restore the backup!
I have copied the backup from %appdata% -> Roaming to my external hard disk!
So, is there any way to restore it from a new laptop while using my external hard disk?
I would appreciate if someone will let me know the necessary steps!

Really? Why would you do that?
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone to your comptuer. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
You should import any pics taken with iphoen to the new computer, as you would with any other digital camera.
You can e-mail the pics that you synced to the iphone to yourself. They will not be of the original quality.
If you enter one unique contact and calendar entry on the new comptuer, then when you sync, you should get the option ot merge the data.

If your backup is newer than the iOS on the phone, you cannot restore from that backup until you update the iOS on the phone first. So is your backup from a newer iOS than what is on the phone? If so, update the phone and then restore from the backup.
If you would share what happens when you try or provide seem more details - it would be a little easier to offer suggestions.

I originally had an iPhone 4 but switched service carriers back in June. When I bought the new iPhone 4s, all my information from the iPhone 4 was saved as a backup on the iCloud. On my new phone in the iCloud settings, Storage & Backup, it shows the backup from the iPhone 4. Unfortunately with the issues I mentioned above I don't even think I have enough space for that on the computer! I have literally moved all moy pictures, music, etc. to another drive and all that's left are some small docs and applications. I don't know how to find any more space on the thing and can't get things updated until I fix this...

Restoring iphone backup from itunes account with multiple phones.

Hi, I wonder if anyone can please help.
Problem as follows:
Backed up/synced both my wifes and my iphone 4 to the same itunes account on Macbook. Wifes phone gets stolen, so get myself new iphone 5 and new Macbook. Managed to set up and get my data onto new phone without any problems, so all sorted.
I now want to pass on my old iphone 4 to my wife, but I cant restore the back up from her stolen phone on the old Macbook as itunes seems to only recognize and associates this phone with its last back up containing my data. Is there anyway that I can restore from the stolen phones backed up data? I have tried restoring the phone to factory settings, but then I still only get the option to restore from that phones original back up.
Would be grateful for any help.

Yes it is possible. Just log in on both phones using the same iTunes account info.
As far as synching goes, iTunes remembers the info you want synch'ed on each phone separately.
If you download an app on one phone and pay for it, it will be free to download on the 2nd phone as long as you use the same iTunes login

Trying to restore iphone 5 from previous backup---the restore is not completing so I'm not getting my pictures, text messages, or voicemails? What can I do? I know they are on the computer and in itunes..please help

I haven't personally used it, but it's widely recommended so I suspect it's pretty good software. If your restore is failing it may be the only way to access your data again. And if the backup is failing because it is corrupt, even this may not work.
You won't be able to find you information on a different computer unless you backed up your phone on it (and you can't simply copy the backup from one computer to another as iTunes won't read it on the other computer).

MacBook Pro died, can I restore back up from previous OS to New Macbook Pro with Mavericks on it?

My son's (grad student) MacBook Pro's logic board went out two weeks ago. We have a new one coming tommorrow, which has Mavericks.
His back up from the older computer has the previous operating system - is he going to run into any problems restoring his data with the different operating systems?

You shouldn't. That's the reason for having a backup.

Your computer's backup external drive should have enough storage capacity to store your entire iTunes library along with all other important data such as documents, contacts, and photos.
Copy the iTunes named folder in your Music folder to your external backup drive, or if you have a wireless network you can transfer data between the two computers via your wireless network or by networking the computers in some other fashion.
With iTunes quit on your Mac, place the iTunes named folder from your PC in your Music folder on your Mac. You will need to authorize your Mac with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so.
Your iPhone's backup that is created and maintained by iTunes is not stored in the iTunes folder, and there is no need to copy this from one computer to another. ITunes on your Mac should create a new backup for your iPhone with the first sync or you can do this manually. Control-click on your iPhone under Devices in the iTunes source list and at the menu window that appears, select Back Up.

How do i install time machine backup from old mac to newer one

Hi, I know how to set up a brand new imac with full info and settings from an old mac from a time machine backup on a portable drive, BUT.... this time i have a 2011 imac in my studio already in use that we want to be completly swapped with full info and settings/software etc from an older 2009 imac, which we may sell on.
I have backup up via time machine the older 2009 mac, but when i plug this into the 2011 imac how do i completly wipe it and set up with info from the time machine?? it was easy doing it on a factoryt new mac but not this.

If I have understood you properly, you want to migrate the data from the 2009 iMac onto the 2011 iMac but keeping the existing files on it.
To do this, use Migration Assistant > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4889 It will create a new user with the transferred files from the old iMac.
If you want to wipe the 2011 iMac and restore everything from the 2009 iMac, the most reliable way is erasing the hard drive, reinstalling OS X and restoring the backup. If you are using the same OS X version on both iMacs, you can restore the Time Machine backup without having to reinstall OS X, just starting from the Mac OS X DVD (or Recovery HD, if you have OS X Lion or Mountain Lion)

Restoring Iphone 6 from previous iPhone (5)

Ive recently bought the new iPhone 6 and have tried to restore it from my previous iPhone (5) and only half my photos have transferred and my messages are not up to date either, how do I fix this?

I dunno about bricking your phone. I backed up my iPhone 5 running iOS 8 last night, and then connected to iTunes and restored onto the 6 and it worked just fine. I had a few issues with some passwords being messed up, but I'd say 99% of what I put back worked. That being said, I had no photos (except custom wallpapers) or movies or music in my backup, just apps and settings.
I'm still utterly shocked that I have managed to upgrade an iPhone 5 and iPad Mini to iOS 8 and purchase a iPhone 6 and restore without any issues compared to what is apparently being reported on these forums. All this on a Macbook running Yosemite Beta 3 and iTunes 12. The iPhone 6 even works properly in my Jeep Wrangler with bluetooth. I don't really believe in luck, but I dunno, something is up.

How to restore MobileSync Backup from Hard Drive to new iTunes?

I am in serious need of help!
My laptop which had Windows 7 running was crashing down after 4 years. When I brought it to the service center they took my internal drive out to save all the data before too late.
The problem is I never had the chance to backup my iTunes properly, and now that I'm usiing a new computer, how can I possibly retrieve all the old data?
The internal drive from the older computer has now been made into a hard drive. I just downloaded the same version of iTunes I was using on this new computer, but how can I possibly restore my older iTunes library. I don't care very much about the music actually, but the mobilesync backup, like messages, notes and etc.
